Chapter Index

When I came to, light was streaming in through the windows.

Maybe I was drinking and I was the first to wake up, but I was lying on the bed.

When I looked at the table, there were only four empty liquor bottles, but I couldn’t remember what was going on and how.

But given my personality, I didn’t think I would have eaten less than him.

“… Is it because we each ate half cleanly?”

It was clear that there were two bottles on my side and two bottles on Noh Chang-hoon’s side.

It’s strange why we didn’t sleep together when the bed is so wide…

Well, it could have been because I had something to do or something else on my mind.

    “Aww… ”

Even so, the vodka was probably a bit strong, and it gave me a headache.

However, I just felt a little dizzy, but it didn’t really hinder my movement.

Even if you drink soju instead of vodka, your head will hurt more than this.

It occurred to me that my body was truly outside of the human category.

“Clothes… I have to leave it to you.”

There was so much to do.

First, I had to wash up and go eat first, and I also had to leave the clothes I got from the officetel.

It seemed like I would be called to a meeting or something like that for a while.

The same goes for handling matters in Jinju.

Until we can become self-sufficient, we must bring in supplies from other areas where there are no survivors.

If you want to be able to work right away when you return from Jinju, it would be a good idea to get the information now.

I don’t know how long I will be in Jinju, but it will be over in one to two months at best.

After gathering my thoughts up to that point, I slowly washed myself in the bathroom.

Towels were included, and disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste were always provided, so there were no inconveniences.

Seeing that there was no awkwardness even after returning after a few weeks, it seemed like other people must have had a hard time.

It probably means that they are paying that much attention.

“Oh, I think I’m waking up now.”

After washing and stretching, it was safe to say that my hangover was almost gone.

I can’t say I had any strength because I didn’t eat, but I had no problems moving.

Since I even ate at the restaurant, I could say it was a complete revival.

But now there was nothing to do.

I wish I had something to do to pass the time, but there wasn’t anything like that.

It was clear that dropping off the clothes and returning the suitcase would take less than an hour.

Kang Si-woo said he would spar with us later, but that would only be possible in a few hours.

So the question was what to do until then.

Now I can’t just pop in and work anywhere like I used to.

I looked around to see if there was anything else going on there, but it didn’t seem like there was anything I was needed for.

When I returned to the dorm, I saw the blade that had been placed in the corner.

    Let’s practice with “.”

The blade was smaller than the last time I saw it.

There was something that was too big and was in the way, so it looks like it was modified by grinding it down somehow.

It was a bonus that the rest of the upper arm bone was processed into a handle rather than the blade.

Thanks to this, it was very easy to hold and easy to swing.

In the past, it felt like it was just forcibly processed, but now it looks like a fairly proper sword.

I went to a suitable place for a moment, grabbed the blade, and swung it.

I felt like it would definitely be useful if I learned it.

But one problem is that it can be used too much like a blunt weapon.

Since I had been using the baton for so long, I had no idea how to use the weapon.

Still, I felt like if I practiced, anything would work out.

Kang Si-woo can teach you how to use a sword, so you don’t have to worry.

Since we had decided to spar during our stay, I thought it would be a good idea to briefly re-learn the basics.

“Now that I think about it, I don’t think this needs a name either.”

It couldn’t be called a blade forever.

I felt like I needed a cool name.

Back then, since we were in a hurry, we just called it a blade or a blade.

I took a moment to examine the overall shape of the blade.

It was because it seemed to be a type of sword that I had seen a lot of times somewhere.

I felt like I learned about the thing with a ring at the end in Korean history class.

“Okay, your name is Cheonmachong from now on.”

I think this kind of sword was called Cheonmachong. Or not.

    It didn’t really matter anyway.

The important thing was that the name Cheonmachong was cooler than the blade.

The scabbard was also nicely made, so the atmosphere was quite nice.

I took a moment to pose, and I felt like I could understand why people had a fantasy about swords.

To be honest, it was easy to fall in love with cutting down enemies while wielding such a cool weapon.

I think there was a great way to deliver this too.

    “Ouch.”

I tried to follow what Kang Si-woo did, but instead of putting it in properly, I ended up cutting my finger.

It didn’t hurt that much, but I felt a little bad.

    “Wow, it’s so sharp.”

I put the Cheonmachong in my belt.

Now I see that there is a clasp on the sheath, so I can hang it on the hook at the waist of my jeans.

He seemed to have remembered that I attach a string to my baton and tie it around when there is nothing special going on.

Then I wondered why the rings were made, but it seemed like they were just carved out during processing.

Since the shoulder blade remained, it appears they left it alone rather than cutting it off.

I walked to the gym on campus.

If there was a seat at the gym, I wanted to get a feel for it by swinging the sword roughly.

Fortunately, there was space at the gym.

It wasn’t that wide, but there was enough space to swing the sword.

    “Looks like everyone is busy.”

Originally, there were no people who needed to exercise in this building.

You may not know Ayoung Lee, but Yeonhwa Kim maintains her body by exercising consistently every day.

I don’t know if he was trying to impress Kang Si-woo, but I could see him working out hard.

Besides that, Kim Ki-jun and Kim Dae-han. Kang Seong-hwa also stopped by here at least once.

It could have been because I was on campus for the first time in a long time.

Or maybe you came late or came to the gym early.

I may have been dispatched to another place and there was something I didn’t know about.

    Still, I couldn’t help it.

“I guess we can meet later. If that doesn’t work, I’ll at least raid the dormitory.”

It’s not that I didn’t want to meet someone else, but it was a little disappointing.

But this wasn’t the original goal, so now was the time to really practice.

I tried imitating Kang Si-woo’s movements that remained in my memory.

Movements that seemed impossible to imitate in the past now seem to be possible to some extent.

Of course, it was still swinging like a baseball bat.

Even if I tried to remember the gestures and movements, they didn’t work properly when I actually swung them.

That doesn’t mean there was no progress at all.

At least I was able to swing it from top to bottom properly.

As soon as I finished practicing, I felt eyes pouring on me from all around me.

That was a bit strange. It wasn’t like I had just done something amazing, and there was no way there was this much attention.

So the moment I turned to find out the cause, I saw a familiar face.

    “… Siwoo?”

“You did a great job, Yeji.”

    “Report… There was?”

“I came here to spar for a moment. And now I was watching.”

    “Oh, really?”

    Kang Si-woo smiled.

He probably thought it was good that I was practicing.

Well, since he was also using a sword, he could feel like he was in the same class.

You could even call it your trademark.

… Or it could have been consideration for a unique returnee.

No matter what happens, the fact that I’m happy to see you now hasn’t changed.

I looked at the Cheonmachong for a moment, then put it down behind me.

He put his baton down on the floor and looked at the people gathered around him.

And as a joke, he asked Kang Si-woo, who came nearby, in a whisper.

“Did you even start a rumor that we were going to spar?”

“That’s not true. However, it somehow ended up like this.”

“It could be broken too badly.”

    “Are you Yeji?”

“No matter how many times I get hit, I just regenerate, but you get a nosebleed.”

“If Yeonhwa or Ayoung had seen it, it would have been a big problem.”

“Oh, that’s right. What are they doing now? It’s been a while since I came here, but I didn’t see you.”

    “I have body aches.”

“Stop being rough. I feel sick every time I try to watch something.”

    Kang Si-woo smiled awkwardly.

I sighed, slowly stretched, and relaxed my hands.

Now it was time to return to mutual respect.

“So, Mr. Siwoo. Do you like bare hands or gloves?”

“Like last time, we will use gloves. I think an open finger glove would be better.”

“What, it’s not a boxing glove?”

“This is better if you want to properly use the technique I briefly taught you last time.”

“Heng, if you hold on until the end, I will show you that I win.”

Before I knew it, the board was properly prepared.

It seemed like everyone was excited and prepared because they said they were going to spar with me and Kang Si-woo.

Additionally, the surrounding space was wider.

I think it’s time to fight properly here…

    I said, frowning.

“It seems like something is being handed over. I wonder if it’s gambling.”

“Well, it doesn’t matter. It often happens when we spar.”

    “Ex.”

“Don’t worry. I gave permission to a certain extent, and there are implicit but detailed rules.”

    “I think some professor intervened.”

    “That’s right.”

“Well, I guess it doesn’t matter! Because I will win!”

I stepped firmly with my left foot and moved forward.

The plan was to lower my stance slightly and throw a strong punch with my left hand.

However, Kang Si-woo slightly turned his body to avoid the attack and then quickly counterattacked.

It was okay until the counterattack. Because I was willing to accept it.

But after getting hit hard in the stomach, I got a little angry.

It didn’t hurt too much. So, it meant that it was a de facto provocation.

I moved with the intention of making Kang Si-woo regret his provocation, but the sparring ended with him getting hit in the stomach dozens of times.
