Chapter Index

    “Tangaroa senior!”

The vice president, who was sitting at the information desk of the gaming hall, looked up.

Emily Sigma comes running in a huff holding a piece of paper.

“Uh. Is it you? why. What happened again this time?”

When Gyo Hwa-yeong, who was busy painting on the other side, raised his head and glared at him, he quickly changed his tone.

“That’s not it… What problem can we solve?”

“I would like to register the Love Letter Heist mayhem crew!”

    “Aha.”

Tangaroa, who was handed the paper, glanced at it and immediately answered.

    “This is inappropriate.”

    “Why?”

    “I’m in it.”

    “Ah, senior. Don’t play around.”

“No, that’s not it. Didn’t you read the instructions for writing the Big Uproar Crew?”

    “Yes?”

The vice president handed Emily a brochure.

    What is written there is-

Love Letter Heist Mayhem Crew Registration Rules.

Players who sign up to participate in Mayhem will form a faction of their choice and a crew of 100 points or less.

Crews cannot include famous models, with the only exception being the player’s own embodied models.

“… yes? So people like me who don’t have an implemented model can’t use anything?”

Every single model unit must be given a suitable name.

You may use the name of an actual academy student, but please ask for permission from that person.

It is of course acceptable to give it your own name.

For younger students, the following units will be added to each residence hall:

Please refer to the appendix for specific capabilities of the model.

Mayhem Main Character – Academy, (dormitory), (race), (grade), (attribute)

Single model unit – 6/9/12 points

    “Aha.”

I didn’t quite understand it at first, but after looking at it again, I understood it to some extent.

“So… So only one player can use the unique character in Mayhem?

Does that make it realistic, like academy students are really fighting?”

“Accurate. If you want a unique model, make and use the main character unit.”

“Is it okay to include multiple main characters in the mayhem itself?”

    “Up to 3.”

    It was good.

Emily immediately deleted Tungaroa’s model and replaced it with two new units.

One is Magna Cum Laude, a second-year student named after himself.

One is a first-year protagonist who focuses on close combat, aptly named ‘Mir’.

    “What should I do now?”

    “Emily!”

    Call of Carl Knizia.

Tangaroa gestured that it would be better to listen from the other side.

    “64th Emily Sigma.”

“Are you also participating in the uproar?”

    “Yes!”

“Good. Then there is a mission to undertake.”

He pointed to the whole area of the great turmoil painted on the wall of the game room.

12 battlefields marked on the academy map.

“As this is a three-month campaign, the 63rd concluded that it must be a long-term campaign.

Therefore, rather than advancing to the center, we preoccupy the important battlefields on the edge of the island.”

    “I see!”

“The Blue Dragon’s target now is the southern dock!”

    Battlefield – South Dock

Adjacent (Red Horse Dormitory) – When a Red Horse participant begins combat on this battlefield, they immediately gain one unit worth 10/15/20 points or less as reinforcements. This unit arrives at the edge of your table at the start of round 2.

Supplies Plenty – At the start of each week, the faction occupying this battlefield gains 5 Supply Supplies.

“Hmm. What are the 10/15/20 points here?”

“Because in stage 1, there is a limit to the number of points that can be invested.

Of course, the units reinforced will also vary depending on the size of the game.”

    expansion

In the first week of the first round, you select a unit worth 50 points out of 100 points and deploy it.

It increases to 75 points in the 2nd week and 100 points in the 3rd week.

The size of the battlefield also changes depending on the point.

“We will take control of the dock and obtain supplies.”

    “Oh, I know the supplies!”

Emily excitedly pointed to a reference table hanging in a corner of the game room.

Using supplies, you could add candidate units to your crew, set up advantageous terrain before the game, and even use powerful items.

“Yes. Then did you realize how important your mission was?”

“But… What should I do if my opponent says he won’t fight at the dock?”

    “Look at this rule.”

    Battlefield Options

Before starting the game, both players compare their crew’s points.

Whoever has fewer crew points gets battlefield selection and can decide where to fight.

(However, it must be a neutral area or an area occupied by the opposing faction.)

The side that does not get to choose the battlefield instead gets the right to deploy and decide who will attack first in the first round.

By consuming one supply, you can take away the battlefield choice.

“So the side with the lowest points decides where to fight?”

“Create your crew so that the score is less than 40 points, not 50 points.”

    “Sa… Forty points or less?”

    “Emily.”

    “64th Emily Sigma.”

    “You can do it.”

My senior says that, but I have nothing to say.

All Emily can do is muster up the courage to speak timidly.

“Ugh… hmm… Then, at least provide supplies.”

“The Blue Dragon’s Summa Kum Laude is making a groaning sound… ”

    “Ah… I understand.”

“Hurry! If the Red Horse take over, it will be difficult to take it back!”

Emily, with slumped shoulders, began to select units from the 100-point crew to participate.

Magna Cum Laude, a second-year student who gave her name.

And 10 models of first-year students from Blue Dragon who will do the dirty work.

Even with just these two, 29 points.

    “I need a close combat unit… ”

The cheapest melee weapon is a 10-point one-man martyr with extremely poor durability.

It’s not my favorite unit, but I can’t help it.

With a sigh, Emily completed the crew.

    “Oh. Emily.”

Cappuccine, a 5th grade Baekyang student, approached her with a smile.

I took a step back, remembering how she had bullied me, but she held out her hand as if to reassure me.

“Why are you so nervous? Let’s just play a mayhem game.”

    “Umm… I understand.”

As Emily had her own villainy, she had no choice but to comply with Cappuccine’s request.

Checking the scores of both crews, it was 39 points to 48 points.

Emily hesitantly took the battlefield choice.

“I will fight at the southern dock.”

“Yes. Then, I will play the second round in the second batch…

ah. I’ll use one supply to lay a barbed wire in the center of here, and I’ll use one more supply to feed elixir to the Baekyang 5th grade model.”

    It’s hopeless.

There is a difference of 9 points, or over 25% of the crew points, and on top of that, the supplies are doubled.

“ character. This battlefield has no special rules…

The table is reduced to 50cm x 1m. Round 3 has ended.

The grand strategy is to reach the edge of the opponent’s table. Stories are prohibited unless they are specifically approved models… ”

    Cappuccine muttering the rules.

But that wasn’t the explanation that caught Emily’s ears.

The conversation between Cleo and Karl Knizia heard right behind me.

“Oh, do you want to use the supplies?”

“Yes. I will spend 1 supply to add a candidate unit to my crew.”

    “Candidate units are selected randomly.”

“I understand. … One martyr? It’s trash, right?

    Use one more supply… ”

The result of the fight that lasted for an hour was a crushing defeat.

While the first-year students were unable to move due to being caught in the barbed wire, the fifth-year Baekyang wizard cooked martyr and magna cum laude by himself.

Afterwards, the remaining Baekyang units annihilated the first year students.

    “Ugh… ”

    “Looks like you’re done.”

I turned my head and saw Cantor Coleman watching the game nearby.

“If only there were more points… I wish I had used the supplies too… ”

“Well, what’s over is over… Now it’s time to get some injuries and experience, right?”

Coleman had the two men pull out a crew list.

“Single model units downed to 0 health gain 1 wound.”

    “Then you die?”

“No. Nothing happens until you have 3 injuries.

    If you stack it 3 times… ”

He pulled out a deck of pink cards.

“Here, you will draw a scar card.”

    “That… What happens then?”

“Well, you may develop early dementia and your learning may be impaired, or you may end up in a wheelchair and your mobility will be halved… ”

A model named Emily Sigma can do that.

    I guess I have to be careful…

    “Fighting was dangerous… ”

    “Not necessarily true.”

Coleman presented three decks this time.

All three decks were made up of light blue cards, but there was a small symbol engraved on them.

One is a blue dragon, one is a white sheep, and one has no mark.

“Both sides can draw an experience card.

For Emily, please choose from Blue Dragon or the common deck, and for Cappuccine, please choose from White Sheep or the common deck.”

Cappuccine pulled out a card without hesitation.

    “Hmm… hero unit.

Select a unit rather than a single model unit. That unit can now receive the effects of experience cards and supplies that single model units can receive. However, if annihilated in battle, injuries accumulate like a single model unit. Immediately draw one more card.”

“Experience cards attached to a crew are treated as 1 point per 2.”

    “Can’t I get it?”

“You may not receive it if you wish.”

“Okay then. It wasn’t a very good experience.”

    Now it’s Emily’s turn.

Emily thought about it and chose the common deck.

I guess if I pick the Blue Dragon deck, I’ll only do good things for Kal…

    “Let’s pick!”

“Unexpected alliance. Immediately roll a die.

Select a famous wandering unit from the faction that appears on the dice and add it to the crew candidate?”

    Please roll “.”

    Roll, rolling dice.

The eyes that come out are 6.

If “6, you are Romelo Village Militia.”

    “What is a wandering unit?”

“It’s a famous unit that no one has included in the crew yet.”

When I looked at where Coleman was pointing, there was a list of really famous units.

Some have already been checked and disappeared, but the ones that are still empty are-

    “The wandering gunman is empty?”

“Hmm. Detective camp players have been able to obtain each of the famous units they want…

It looks like you haven’t registered yet because you’re being careful about creating your crew.”

“Then can I recruit that person?”

In response to that provocative question, Coleman pondered for a moment and then smiled.

    “Nothing can’t be done.”

It was a day later that Mina Karcic went on a rampage to kill Emily, the ‘cat thief’.
