Chapter Index

“Alright, give a little more power to the core!”

At Director Yoon’s command, I tightened my core muscles. After months of continuous training, I had become capable of precisely applying force to the desired muscles, so her request wasn’t that difficult. In fact, even though to professional athletes or trainers, it might seem like a trivial demand, the important thing was that I could meet her requirements.

“Good. Now stand up and push the jacket you’re wearing to the back. Tighten your abs!”

Certainly, due to shooting many body profiles, especially for fitness center promotions, her requests focused more on accentuating my body shape and muscles rather than my appearance. Of course, she did mention that since it was my body profile, we would also take some commemorative photos together, but…

“Now sit on the chair, support your arms behind you, and cross your legs. Yes, and maybe relax your eyes a bit? Right, with a more languid expression.”

I followed her instructions, changed poses, and relaxed the muscles on my face.

    “Wow!”

    Cheers erupted from all around.

What’s going on? Why is everyone reacting like this?

Especially the men suddenly turned around or hesitated in their positions.

    “Wow… amazing.”

Even as Director Yoon busily pressed the camera shutter, she couldn’t help but exclaim. It was only after her fingers stopped moving that I could finally ask her.

    “Why, what’s going on?”

Without saying a word, she flipped the camera around to show me the screen, and upon seeing the photo, I understood why they had reacted that way.

The languid expression, combined with the sensual body shape and the pose that accentuated it, was overwhelmingly captivating.

It was visual violence. Ah, how can a subject be so beautiful…

    “Mr. Doyeon?”

Momentarily dazed by the impact of the photo, I snapped back to reality at Director Yoon’s call.

    “M-Madam. What is this, exactly…”

“Heh, what do you think? Impressive, right?”

She asked, placing her hand on her waist with a proud smile.

“…I want to ask that, but honestly, it’s frustratingly good because of how overwhelming the subject is.”

As I chuckled, her smile was truly charming.

“Alright! Since we’ve taken the shot of a lifetime, let’s continue with the shoot.”

I don’t know why we’re taking a shot of a lifetime in this situation, but I couldn’t deny that the photo looked good even to me. It wasn’t self-praise, it was just the truth.

The following shoot went smoothly as well. There were some directions that were hard to understand, but she was a professional, and she did her best to help me understand the shots and poses I found challenging, so the total shooting time seemed to be about an hour.

    “Great job!”

With Mr…. no, Madam Kwon Youngsoo’s hearty farewell and the applause from the staff on set (including only three people, including Director Yoon), the shoot came to an end.

“Goodbye… I mean, Madam, you’ve worked hard for the past two months!”

Kwon Youngsoo approached me suddenly, offering his greetings. Seeing him call me “Madam” first and then “Member,” it made me realize that people’s habits and routines aren’t easily changed…

Well, whatever. I was feeling quite generous at the moment. After all, it felt pretty good.

As Kwon Youngsoo said, restraining myself for two months, even suppressing one of the three basic human desires, appetite, and achieving something was a first for me.

I had worked on projects for over six months at the company, and I had even completed a project planned for two months after dragging it out for four months.

However, the sense of accomplishment I felt now was different from achieving something or making a deal at work. It wasn’t just about my body getting healthier, but there was a more fundamental… how should I put it, yeah. Did my self-esteem go up?

Of course, I only realized this after becoming a woman, but my body seemed to respond well to exercise.

What? Didn’t I touch exercise when I was a man? As life got busier and I got lazier, I stopped going to the gym with friends in my 20s. I would do it for 2-3 months and then stop, repeating the cycle.

Come to think of it, I’ve only been exercising for about 2 months now. Maybe the fact that I started from a different starting line made the results come faster, but anyway, I found it interesting and I probably wanted to continue exercising in the future.

Not that I would go all out, even when I was a man, I didn’t particularly like having a sharp six-pack or a muscular body. Now that it’s become my body, I don’t think I’ll train that hard, just enough to maintain my health.

“Youngsoo, you’ve been through a lot. Even though you cheated in the middle, thanks to you, we achieved something that won’t happen again in our lives. Haha.”

“Wh-what?! So, are you not going to exercise anymore? It’s a shame… With your physique, you could attract muscle maniacs…”

“Oh, I don’t plan to go that far… But I’ll continue to exercise.”

Although Kwon Youngsoo seemed disappointed, he quickly let go of his regret and nodded with a smile.

“Still, why don’t you stop exercising? It’s good to keep going for your health. Haha.”

“Yeah, that’s right. That’s why I want to continue, and besides this, there’s nothing else I can do consistently with the kids.”

Of course, there are various sports besides just weightlifting, but at least in terms of convenience and time spent, this was the best option that I knew of.

And even though I pay attention to my diet and nutrients, appropriate exercise will be the driving force for the children’s growth.

As proof, my constitution, which made it difficult for me to get up in the morning due to low blood pressure, has somewhat improved, so I can confidently say this.

“Anyway, if you’re going to stop exercising today, I was thinking of having a farewell party or something.”

“A farewell party? Did you prepare something special?”

I wasn’t expecting much, but I still felt a bit nervous because it seemed like something was prepared.

“Haha, I said ‘simple.’ I was thinking of just having a meal. I thought of getting you something delicious since you’ve worked hard.”

“Pfft, what? I got my modeling fee, so I should be the one buying. Not you, Youngsoo. Well, since it’s been mentioned, shall we go eat?”

I’ve been starving since skipping dinner last night to take this picture, and now my stomach, which had been protesting vehemently, had gone cold. You know how it is. When your stomach hurts so much that it stops feeling hungry. I was in that state right now.

With a sense of relief that it was over and at the mention of a meal by Kwon Youngsoo, my stomach started to react again.

“Haha, sounds good. Um, wait a moment. Trainer Sia!”

Kwon Youngsoo raised his hand behind me and called someone, and as I turned my head back, I saw the female trainer approaching us. And come to think of it, her name was Jungsia, right?

“Ah, Youngsoo oppa. Good work. Thank you, teacher.”

“You worked hard too, Sia. Is today’s schedule over? Are you going to the center by any chance?”

By the way, the center that Kwon Youngsoo is talking about refers to the branch in the neighborhood where the studio is located.

But oppa? Hm… It’s hard to judge what kind of person this friend named Sia is, but when it comes to the title ‘teacher,’ if it’s returned as ‘oppa,’ rather than someone who can’t distinguish between work and personal relationships, it makes me think in a slightly different direction.

“I’m off today. I was thinking of going straight home, what about you, oppa?”

As I said that, I glanced at him discreetly.

Oh, look at this? Is that so?

“I have a dinner appointment with a member… not Im but a member. I asked if you could drop me off on your way if it’s okay.”

What’s this, is he doing this on purpose? If he just called her ‘nunni,’ he should have stuck with it until the end, but he seems to be giving off the vibe of being unsure, probably because he doesn’t really understand Sia’s feelings.

No, maybe the boss noticed their relationship to some extent and arranged this introduction?

I’m not sure, but I had a feeling that it might be the case.

Anyway, in this atmosphere, it was quite noticeable that going to eat alone with Kwon Youngsoo was not an option.

Anyway, I just need to reschedule the appointment behind us.

“Um, Youngsoo, I’m sorry, but I forgot I have an appointment today. Let’s eat next time. I’ll treat. Um… should I call you Sia or teacher?”

“Call me whatever you’re comfortable with. Hehe.”

“Okay, since Sia helped out today too, let’s all eat together next time.”

At those words, Kwon Youngsoo had a regretful expression, while Sia had a noticeably bright expression.

“Oh… is that so? It can’t be helped. Then I’ll give you a ride home today.”

With that decision made, after changing clothes, they left the studio.

    Tired.
