by adminDo Yoo-geon got up out of the water while making a diving bet with Yu Mina. I felt like I was breathing freely and living.
“Ugh, I lost, I lost.”
As she was out of breath, Yumina also stood up.
“How can you be so good at such a great performance?”
“Magical girls undergo waterboarding training.”
“really?”
“I’m half joking.”
Yumina giggled. Says something you don’t know if you’re joking or serious.
“I won, so buy me some ice cream. Not now, but when I get home.”
“Ha, this is it.”
I tilted my head to get the cold water out of my ears. The stuffy inside my ears cleared up. It seemed like a chilly feeling came along with it.
“It’s a little cold after being in the water for a long time. I need to get some sun.”
“Really? Then I just thought of something fun. Would you like to join us?”
“what?”
Yumina pointed to Cha Ha-neul lounging around under the parasol and reading a book.
“We’re leaving tomorrow, but our lady hasn’t even gone into the sea.”
“I know what you’re talking about. If you fall into the sea, how will you handle the aftermath?”
“It’s okay, it’s okay.”
Yumina giggled and waved her hands.
“This much will be accepted by the young lady’s generosity.”
Yumina seems to be afraid of Cha Ha-neul, but at times like this, she was fearless. According to him, Cha Ha-neul is surprisingly benevolent as long as you don’t cross the line, so there’s nothing to be afraid of. When I asked where the line was, I never got a specific answer because they just looked and laughed.
“I’m going to leave. I don’t want to have to deal with the end just to have some fun.”
“I see.”
When I came out to the sandy beach, Cha Ha-neul stood up and handed me a towel. I brushed my wet hair with it.
Yumina smiled and approached Cha Ha-neul.
“Miss, listen.”
“huh?”
“Wouldn’t it be a shame not to go in when the sea is right in front of you?”
“at all.”
“Isn’t it a pity?”
“I don’t need it.”
“No, no. Need comes from supply. My lady needs to go into the sea.”
“Don’t bother.”
Yumina quickly lifted Cha Ha-neul’s legs and lifted him up. It stumbled for a moment, but was held steady.
Cha Ha-neul was embarrassed.
“What is it, what are you doing?”
“I’m just trying to teach my poor friend a lesson.”
When Yumina walked towards the sea, Cha Ha-neul was scared and struggled. I hated it so much that I even tried to use magic to get away. However, Yumina managed to overpower Cha Ha-neul and listen.
“Won’t you put it down? You’re angry, you’re angry.”
“Hmm, it’s so scary. I understand. I’ll drop you off.”
Yumina, who arrived on the water, lowered her posture so that Cha Ha-neul’s feet got wet. Cha Ha-neul yelped in surprise. Cha Ha-neul changed his attitude and shouted not to be put down.
“Wow! Our girl is cute!”
It really is. Every time the water touched Cha Ha-neul, she freaked out and asked why she was doing this to her.
“If you eat bugs, are you getting bugs? Or are you lacking nutrients?”
Laplace spoke from next to me as to when I was approaching.
“Looking at the sky, it could be like that.”
“……ah.”
Laplace was embarrassed and took a sip of lemonade.
“There’s something I want to talk about. Do you have time?”
“I’m just taking a break, so we can talk about it now. What are you talking about?”
“I heard you tried to attack the crack?”
“I did it a few times.”
“That’s a good thing. We’re having some problems with the magical girl work right now, so we need someone with experience.”
I looked at Laplace.
“I can’t use magic and I’m not a girl?”
“There is no need for name tags on the outskirts. All you have to do is attack designated cracks. You can take whatever drops there.”
Is this a crack attack? Cracks were good hunting grounds because they were effective in gaining experience points and you could acquire items through treasure chests. Right now, I’m using the free item draw that comes out once a day, but even if I manage to complete one item by scraping together the pieces, the grade is low and it’s useless, so I neglect it.
“Please explain in detail.”
“The police have been cracking down on criminal organizations on a large scale a few months ago. Haven’t you seen the news?”
“I remember seeing it.”
“It worked, and the power of the organizations weakened and became a little more comfortable, but the criminals seemed to have formed a consensus that they would get away with it this time, and suddenly clashes became more frequent.”
“That’s because I don’t really know how to do magic girl work, so it’s dangerous?”
“Correct! Because we take care of the security that the police missed. Coincidentally, someone has modified the Exploration League’s slime tracker and is using it as a magical girl tracker, so the damage is even worse.”
“Isn’t the slime tracker powered by artificial intelligence big data? How can you track a magical girl with that?”
“Do you still believe that? You’re so smart!”
Laplace clapped his hands.
“Since it was first released, it was rumored to be an impossible technology. I guess the white cat gave it to me when I met the head of the Exploration League.”
It’s a reasonable guess.
“Anyway, the number of missing magical girls has increased, and the manpower shortage has become severe. You can hire as many magical girls as you like, but it takes time to train them, so it’s very difficult. Management of cracks is tight now, so we need to attack them quickly to reduce them. I’m busy doing it myself. How about outsourcing it?”
“It’s a good suggestion because I’m planning on leveling up, which I’ve been putting off, but it’s impossible for me to conquer it alone.”
Attacking cracks is good, but I have no intention of dying recklessly.
“There’s an archmage over there.”
Laplace pointed towards the sea. Yumina was spinning around with the tea sky in her eyes. Then, perhaps in vain, Yumina stumbled and made Cha Ha-neul fall into the sea. Cha Ha-neul was struggling and Yumina took a step back with a contemplative expression and then ran away. I guess I honestly didn’t mean to leave it out.
“Cha Ha-neul doesn’t like dangerous things.”
“Then how did you level up?”
“How did you do it?”
“How so?”
“Something like appropriate excuses and unexpected behavior. Once you move, they follow you.”
“If you want an excuse, there will be something suitable soon. From what I heard from Schrödinger, the second job change quest is scheduled to be updated, and that is a crack strategy.”
“There’s no excuse at all.”
Laplace shrugged his shoulders.
“That’s up to the person concerned to decide. Will they do it or not?”
“I will.”
“Okay, here’s the contract!”
The magic was activated and the contract fell fluttering.
“Isn’t it a waste of your life to use magic in something like this?”
“If you die, you die. Go to sleep, take action.”
It was a hindrance.
“But if you’re this busy, shouldn’t you be here?”
“I actually came because I was busy. Why bother buying it?”
Yumina’s screams were heard. Cha Ha-neul, who looked like a wet mouse, was dipping Yumina in the sea. I need to stop this.

As the system transitioned to open beta, hunting grounds after level 25 were opened. Up to level 25, if it was familiar, it was a familiar forest. If it was unfamiliar, it was an unfamiliar forest, but after level 25, it was a maze.
The maze, which was either underground or cavernous, had a closed ceiling, so I had to rely on torches hanging on the walls for my vision. Thanks to the answer of logging out, the pressure of dying if you get lost, which is typical of a maze, was reduced, but the dark and humid air itself made me nervous.
Moreover, the mobs that appeared were skeletons, which made it even more scary. They come rushing in, so if you just use magic, it’s a one-shot attack.
There was someone who was working hard to hold on to such a mess, and it was Do Yu-geon in front of me.
“If I catch it, where will it go?”
I asked, but Do Yu-geon didn’t answer because he was busy cutting. A diagonal sword cut split the skeleton. The skeleton was cut from the skull to the ribs, but the bones quickly reattached and it rushed back. The teeth aimed at Do Yu-geon’s arm. The skeleton was kicked and sent flying. Do Yu-geon took a deep breath and faced the skeleton that was rushing at him again.
The situation continues like this. The skeleton’s attacks are not that threatening, so it’s easy to respond to them, but you can’t kill them because they don’t respond with sword strikes. Other explorers kill it by having a wizard catch it or by striking it with a blunt object, but Do Yu-geon only holds a sword, so both methods are impossible.
If I wanted to catch him alone, I told him to pick up a shield and hit him, but I only got the absurd answer that shields are not cool. He was hesitant and embarrassed when he spoke, so he knew how ridiculous it was, but he was just stubborn.
“Ugh! I can’t eat it!”
“Then get out of the way. I’m going to use magic.”
Do Yu-geon did not get out of the way, but instead grabbed the knife and struck the skeleton with the side of the knife. The skull was shattered and the skeleton died. That’s it.
“Why did you go through the trouble of buying something that you could just grab?”
“If you hold it like this, it will hurt the knife.”
“oh…….”
I didn’t expect to hear a thoughtful answer. I ignored it too much.
“Is there something unpleasant about the look in your eyes?”
“No. It’s the usual look.”
Do Yoo-geon felt uncomfortable and approached the neglected treasure chest.
“Wait a minute. That could be a Mimic.”
Do Yu-geon stopped walking and shook his head.
“What a Mimic. We just got to level 35.”
Mimic is a level 40 mob.
“There can be exceptions, and there is no harm in pounding on a stone bridge.”
I hurled magical energy at the treasure chest. The treasure chest rolled over due to the impact.
Do Yu-geon looked gloomy and muttered.
“It’s painful because I’m worried that the items will go bad.”
Items came from treasure chests, but they were very, very rare. So much so that one wonders whether it would be more likely to collect pieces through item drawing.
“There will be no items.”
“I just said there can be exceptions.”
“Skip over the little things.”
When I approached and looked, there was no item.
“It’s a good thing it wasn’t damaged.”
“I don’t know if it’s unfortunate or fortunate that I don’t have it.”
“That’s a good thing.”
A rushing sound was heard and skeletons came rushing in. It was a number that filled the maze. Do Yu-geon was disgusted. It wasn’t the quantity that was supposed to be captured. Because there are limits to the use of magic, even if a party had many wizards, it was right to run away if skeletons came.
“Are you going to catch those without magic too?”
“No way!”
It would have happened long ago.
“If you shout, ‘I can’t do anything without Cha Ha-neul by my side,’ I will catch you.”
After thinking for a moment, Do Yu-geon turned around and ran away. Why are you running away?
“Can’t you tell me that and run away?”
“This is not an escape, it’s an operational retreat!”
“That’s it.”
Eventually, I got tired of running away and used magic to sweep it all away. The rule is to run away, but it is also possible to just catch it.
