Chapter Index

    March 187. Jeokma Dormitory.

    Mina opened the album slowly.

On the first page are the emblems of the student council and faculty.

A declaration is written that all information was made into a game after review and censorship by faculty.

The dormitory introduction part that came next seemed to have been made officially by Jeokma Dormitory.

A great view of Jeokma Dormitory, famous graduates, and even slogans that can fill your dorm room.

In addition, there were pictures depicting Red Horse Dormitory students engaged in a brawl.

It must have been painted by a fairly skilled artist, and the quality was no lower than the oil paintings hanging in the dormitory.

Sometimes dozens of students are shown storming the Baekyang dormitory.

Sometimes, it narrowly shows a confrontation between the red horse fourth graders and the black swan fourth graders.

Let’s turn one more page –

    “Wow.”

The pictures just now were nice, but they were somewhat deformed, so they weren’t real pictures.

However, the pictures that continue on the next page accurately reproduce models from the romantic era.

They were no different from the photos taken showing the wonderful compositions on the previous page realized with miniature models.

The next part of the book is official paint examples.

Detailed instructions on how to color the Red Horse dormitory uniform, with red as the main color and gold as the secondary color.

In addition, it showed how to implement the types of uniform modifications commonly seen among students and how to paint the emblems of each family on the uniform.

“The composition is very different from what I thought.”

Mina expected the units’ data to come out right away.

However, a significant portion of the album was invested in showcasing the beauty of the models.

    It worked.

Mina was also resisting the urge to immediately run to the student council and buy all the models she could find.

She barely suppressed those thoughts and finally opened the data section.

What greeted Mina was a special rule.

“The hierarchy of a great family.

All non-user Red Horse Dormitory unit models must be assigned a family.

In one game, imperial models are limited to 1 model, duchy models are limited to 3 models, marquis models are limited to 5 models, and counts are limited to 10 models.

There are no restrictions on models below self-made. Hmm.”

Mina read the rest of the rules by eye.

Different operative models cannot belong to the same unit without special rules.

Each unit gains the abilities of the highest-ranking family among its surviving models.

(If there is more than one identical sequence, choose one of them.)

Mina, who realized that each family had its own special rules, hurriedly looked for the Karsic duchy.

“The Karsic Duke family is famous for hunting northern monsters.

Units led by Duke Karcic gain immunity (freeze) and hatred (monster)…”

Hatred (X) – Once per turn, you can reroll all failed attack rolls when attacking units of the X category.

If we had this, we would have been able to deal with the crocodile much more easily.

There were special rules for the imperial family, 5 ducal families, 12 marquesses, and 30 earl families, but for those below that, they were replaced by a simple special rule called ‘ambition’.

Ambition – A unit led by a House of Viscount or lower may gain Proficiency 1 (Operations) only once during a melee during that round.

“Now let’s look at the units.

    1st year student, 2nd year student, 3rd year student, 4th year student…”

First-year students have 10 model units, second-year students have 5 models, third-year students have 3 models, and fourth-year students have 2 models.

The basic points of the units themselves were the same at 15 points, but as the grade level increased, there were more options to spend points.

“Butler, maid, swordsmanship club, archery club, tea party, fiancé, imperial army academic officer, battle mage…”

Mina quietly looked at the swordsmanship club models.

A disciplined attitude reminiscent of an older brother.

The sheen of the blade makes it hard to believe it was made of wood.

“I really need to buy this…”

Behind the approximately 20 special units, there were 12 unique characters modeled after real students.

    8 4th graders, 3 3rd graders, 1 2nd grader.

Unfortunately, Mina’s name was not there, but there was a notice at the end of the unit data table.

If you would like to obtain a model modeled after yourself, please come to the student council and fill out a review request form.

A panel of Academy faculty members will determine if a unique model is eligible to be awarded.

I guess I’ll have to go tomorrow and write an application right away.

As Mina was thinking that, Indira approached her and handed her four new books.

“Lady. Here is an album from another dormitory.”

“Thank you, Indira. uh? Why four volumes? Shouldn’t there be three volumes if it’s Black Swan, Blue Dragon, and White Yang?”

“The student council is also treated as a dormitory.”

“Aha. okay. Go quickly and rest.”

Mina, who received the album from Indira, looked through all four books.

The composition was also similar. Introduction, illustrations, modeling, painting guide, special instructions, unit data.

“Hmm. Black Swan’s special secret is genius and eccentric.

Single model units can be configured with their quirks, origins, and magical power as desired…”

Mina picked up the pen and started taking notes, like when studying for an exam.

The sun set and the stars came out, but she compared the pros and cons of the five dormitories, forgetting it was time to sleep.

    “Finished organizing!”

    [Jeokma Dormitory]

The units’ weapons have high accuracy and a high number of attacks (penetration is a bit lacking).

In particular, its shooting armament is the best among the five dormitories.

It can mobilize a large number of users and has several top-class close combatants.

The Gogi-dong camp is the only one with cavalry.

Although it has several commanding abilities, it is very weak in magic.

    [Cheongryong Dormitory]

All units have above average abilities. That’s an expensive point.

There are no top-end units, and it has fewer unique abilities compared to the other three dormitories.

Possesses a large amount of aura that becomes stronger when you act together.

Most units can take on multiple roles simultaneously.

Moderately excellent in both magic and martial arts.

    [Black Swan Dormitory]

Huge amount of magic support. Magic is the best among the five dorms.

Single model units can be raised to the martial arts side as well.

However, most multi-model units are weak in head-on combat, especially with very poor durability.

There is little synergy effect, and there are almost no units that buff lower grade units.

Suitable for operations that push one ace.

    [Baekyang Dormitory]

The number of heads is large and the price is low. Of course, there are also advanced units such as 5th grade.

The magic stats are not bad, but due to the lack of magic-related synergy, it would be difficult to form a magic-specialized crew like Blue Dragon or Black Swan.

A defensive composition with high health, defense, resistance, and several survivability abilities.

It has good operational capabilities and the ability to utilize terrain features.

However, the ability to overcome the opponent is very lacking.

    [Student Council]

You can be dispatched to other dormitories and recruit other dormitory members.

A small group with few models and high points.

A good balance between magic, martial arts, and defense.

Control-oriented operation that nullifies or disrupts the opponent’s abilities.

    “This should be enough…”

Mina muttered that and fell down as if she was being sucked into her bed.

The rising sun assaulted her eyelids, and the chirping birds tickled her eardrums.

However, it was not enough to stop Mina Karcic from declaring her own public lecture.

    ————————————————– ———————————-

    January 187. Student council room.

“Yes, then to the Blue Dragon Dormitory-”

    “Trash of humanity.”

    “Chairman.”

    Vice President Tangaroa said expressionlessly.

“Please refrain from making personal attacks.”

“Why? Can you reveal the violence records registered with the student council? Your blue dragon beats up the most people.

Starting with the self-proclaimed 20 martyrs incident-”

“You know that saying things like that to me means nothing.”

The Chairman closed his mouth and remained silent in response to the Vice Chairman’s meaningful words.

Phew, the mood has calmed down a bit now…

    “Those who are qualified!”

Cleo got up and shouted loudly.

Even Hwayoung, who had been watching quietly, spoke in a somewhat disapproving tone.

“Then are other dormitories not eligible?”

“I don’t know about that, but I’m sure our Blue Dragon is qualified.”

“Now! ruler! everyone! Let’s not overheat too much!”

The entrance exam for the Blue Dragon Dormitory is held simultaneously across the entire empire on the same day.

Eight subjects: literature, arithmetic, history, ethics, magic theory, magic practice, physical education, and martial arts.

The top 50 students with the highest total score are admitted to the Blue Dragon Dormitory.

This was the academy’s regulations, but the Blue Dragon dormitory students created one more unspoken rule among themselves.

To prevent order between seniors and juniors from being disrupted, retaking the entrance exam is prohibited.

Most of those who passed the exam by chance cannot withstand the implicit or overt disdain and leave.

As it was the only dormitory to enter through a regular exam, Blue Dragon’s pride was high and its exclusivity was strong.

    “Um… I don’t want to say this either…

To be honest, when I look at the Cheongryong students, they seem like psychopaths who are crazy about their grades…”

Hwayoung poured out verbal abuse in a polite tone.

Cleo got angry and clenched her fists, but Tangaroa folded her arms and maintained a blank expression.

The vice president looked around as if he was annoyed and blurted out.

“If we have to point out, Black Swan looks like an autistic child with poor social skills.”

No, where is the person who said not to make personal attacks?

Without realizing it, I ended up making a counterargument.

“We just don’t overindulge in the dormitory in a childish way.”

“Mr. Coleman. Don’t you think… that aspect seems a bit odd?”

Cleo spoke quietly, perhaps out of respect for me, but Hwayoung, the Black Swan grade representative, stood up and spoke passionately.

“The unfortunate thing is that Blue Dragon doesn’t acknowledge it.

You were just mechanically graded by local officials, but we were selected by academy faculty members who personally interviewed each and every one of them!”

“Ah, it came out. That damn ‘eccentric genius’ spirit.”

    “Stop!”

When even the chairman got involved in the fight and became sarcastic, I erased everything I had written so far.

Normally, we would have received opinions about Baekyang Dormitory, but in this atmosphere, we don’t know what will be said.

“Chairman. Surely the purpose of making this game wasn’t to prevent dormitory kids from being violent towards each other?

What should I do if the person who said that starts a fight like this!”

“Sorry. I got a little excited. I apologize.”

Chairman Lilac made a gesture with his hand indicating that he had gone too far.

    Tangaroa sighed and then said.

“Well, preventing physical violence doesn’t mean that dormitories should hold hands and get along.

Because telling people to win by playing soldiers instead of using swords is different from telling them to forget all resentments and memories.”

In a slightly calm atmosphere, I recalled what the vice president had told me.

Twenty ‘martyrs’ from the Blue Dragon Dormitory left the 5th graders from the Baekyang Dormitory half dead.

If Chairman Lilac was in Baekyang dormitory, he would have been in grade 0 at that time.

How did you feel when someone five years your senior was brought in as a dead body?

    “Hmm. Not really, Tangaroa.”

The chairman thought for a moment and then spoke with a serious expression.

“If we fight with virtual violence that does not cause harm, rather than real violence that involves blood and flesh, wouldn’t the resentment itself decrease?

Besides, this is a game made for fun.

If you had fun and I had fun dueling, you might make good memories of the person who gave you that experience.

A person who makes a game like that shouldn’t be spewing harsh words at other dormitories.”

    “Well…”

    I shook my head.

“Rather, if this game becomes popular, it might just give dormitories something new to fight about.”

“The dormitories are already fighting over nothing. Let’s give it a try. I’m sure it won’t get any worse.”

“Okay. You have so much time, how can you throw it away?”

“No, I never said I would throw it away.”

In the student council room, where the atmosphere was back to being noisy, I summarized the results of this conversation, which I don’t know if it was brainstorming or an insult match.

I sincerely hope that the chairman’s dream becomes a reality.
