by adminFor the entire afternoon, Lin Yi’s thoughts flowed like a spring, his pen moving with divine speed.
Yet he remained completely unaware that over a dozen hidden cameras had been installed behind his workstation.
They captured every angle of his movements with crystal clarity. Even if his little head tried to peek ever so slightly, the cameras on either side would clearly record the moment his pants tented.
The typing hall echoed endlessly with the clatter of keyboards. In such an environment, even taking a short break made one anxious—what if others had already hit their daily word count? What if they were already raking in cash? The pressure was unbearable, forcing everyone to grit their teeth and keep writing.
Outside the hall,
a woman in a blue work uniform wiped sweat from her forehead and smiled at a silver-haired beauty. “The surveillance cameras are all set up—twenty-eight exposed, eighteen hidden, and eight pinhole cams. Three of them, as you requested, are positioned around the area to monitor everyone’s movements in the hall. If anyone so much as glances toward the male authors’ workstations, those three specialized cameras will capture it clearly.”
“Thank you for your hard work. Here’s 500 yuan as promised. I’ll also add an extra bonus to your fee for the club’s next commission.”
Luo Tianyou smiled elegantly as she pulled five crisp bills from her wallet.
“No need for thanks! We’re all sisters in the New Era Women’s Club—helping each other out is what we do.”
The woman in blue flashed a bright, confident grin, took the money, and left the building.
The New Era Women’s Club was a place where like-minded women supported one another in their own ways.
Luo Tianyou clasped her hands behind her back, tiptoeing like Tom Cat as she pressed herself against the glass window by the entrance,
her gaze fixed intently on Lin Yi as he worked.
Her eyes gradually grew hazy, her expression intoxicated. A drop of glistening liquid trailed from the corner of her lips.
“Lin Yi, I’ll always be watching you… No matter where you are, I’ll be watching you. Watching you, always watching you, forever watching you…”

5:00 PM.
Lin Yi successfully finished the day’s manuscript.
The currently serialized work only had one final volume left before completion. After that, he could focus entirely on drafting his new book.
He shut down his computer and turned to leave—only to notice that the previously empty workstation behind him was now cluttered with miscellaneous items and an array of cameras, all blatantly pointed at his desk.
What the hell is this?
Is the editorial department really using surveillance now to track slacking off?
Come on, I’m not some lazy slacker who’d ghost deadlines!
They really don’t trust me at all.
Lin Yi adjusted every visible camera, tilting them just enough to avoid his workstation, then left the hall satisfied.
At the elevator, he ran into Luo Tianyou.
“Lin Yi-sensei! What a coincidence—you finished today’s work right on schedule too?”
Leaning against the doorway, Luo Tianyou twirled a strand of her silver hair, her face lit with a sweet smile.
At the editorial department, the standard workday for authors ran from 10 AM to 5 PM, with a minimum requirement of 14,000 words—2,000 words per hour. Only after hitting that target could they leave at 5 PM. Even one word short meant staying until the draft was complete.
Some slow typists struggled until 10 PM, even midnight or 2 AM, just to barely finish.
For those lacking inspiration, it was pure torture—worse than writing an 800-word essay back in school.
“Yeah, inspiration struck today. Wrote pretty fast.” Lin Yi replied with a mild smile, making no mention of the earlier incident.
Just as Luo Tianyou had said—in this world, any woman could be hiding her true thoughts. A gentle surface might just be masking a toybox.
Living well for himself was what mattered most.
“So, Lin Yi, shall we head home together? We’re going the same way, after all. Want a ride? Or would you rather walk?” Luo Tianyou beamed playfully.
“If I can get a ride from Luo Tianyou-sensei, that’d be perfect.” Lin Yi chuckled.
“Ah, really? That’s… a bit surprising! Let’s go, hop in!”
Her eyes widened slightly before she eagerly grabbed his wrist, pulling him into the elevator and down to the underground parking lot.
A pink BMW awaited them.
The backseat was adorned with small plushie charms, each dangling a red 囍 (double happiness) character beneath it.
“Lin Yi, when it’s just the two of us, you don’t have to keep calling me ‘sensei,’ right?”
Seated in the driver’s seat, Luo Tianyou gripped the steering wheel, her gaze hopeful as she glanced at Lin Yi in the passenger seat.
“Alright… Luo Tianyou.”
No big deal.
She gave a small nod, then hit the gas, speeding out of the parking lot.
Her home was just 2 kilometers straight past Lin Yi’s place.
But starting today, that would no longer be the case.
She had bought the apartment directly below his.
Her bedroom now aligned perfectly with his upstairs. With some discreet tools, she could hear every sound from above.
Because to always watch him, I can’t just stop at his workstation—I have to watch him at home too, 🥰.
Luo Tianyou inhaled deeply, savoring the air inside the car. She had deliberately avoided spraying any perfume today, even airing out the vehicle for hours before picking him up. The moment he entered, she rolled up the windows—all to soak in his scent alone.
So sweet, so sweet… 🥰…
One eye on the road, the other on Lin Yi—truly watching him at all times. Even while driving, she had to keep her eyes on him, 🥰.
Just then, Lin Yi received a message from Yayun:
“Yi-Yi, I’ll be back tonight. I’m leaving tomorrow morning for a business trip—about two weeks. So I made a big dinner for us. When will you be home?”
“I’m in a colleague’s car now. Almost there.”
“Perfect! I’m already home. Waiting for you. Love, Yayun.”
“Love you too.” Lin Yi replied.
The corner of Luo Tianyou’s eye caught every word on his phone screen. Her lips twitched faintly.
Lin Yi’s wife—no, fiancée, technically. Haven’t met her yet.
But after moving, she’d have plenty of time to observe her.
And since this fiancée was leaving for a business trip soon, it was the perfect chance to sneak into Lin Yi’s apartment and install cameras.
Once those were in place… then she could watch him always.
Just the thought made her giddy with excitement, 🥰.
