Chapter Index

“You want me to hold hands with you? You’re not the goddess?”

“Yes. Dump that incompetent goddess and live with me. I’ll even make you the Demon King. If you keep hanging out with humans, even if you save the world, there won’t be much good in it for you. If you save the world, you’ll have to follow the law and keep being a good person. But it’s different for the Demon King. The Demon King can do whatever he wants, unlike a human leader, because the demons absolutely obey the strong. That’s how they live.”

“I’m not interested in becoming the Demon King.”

“Come on, don’t be like that. If you join hands with humans and save the world, there won’t be much good in it for you. Even if you save the world, you’ll still have to follow the law and keep being a good person, and if you break the rules even a little, you’ll be criticized by everyone. But it’s different for demons. The Demon King can do whatever he wants, unlike a human leader, because the demons absolutely obey the strong. That’s how they live.”

Despite my lack of interest in becoming the Demon King, she went on and on, trying to convince me. Either she was very determined to persuade me, or she was just someone who didn’t listen to others.

Well, why should a demon god listen to others? She could just talk and expect people to obey.

“You don’t have to be bound by rules. You are the rule itself. Who would dare refuse the Demon King?”

“What about you? You’re obviously a higher-level being than the Demon King. Didn’t you create the Demon Sword?”

“It’s fine. I don’t care what you do. I won’t interfere. I’ve always been like that. Even with that… Elysier, or whatever her name was, I let her go on with her wars for hundreds of years, under the pretext of weeding out the weak demons. You can really do whatever you want. I won’t even care if you exterminate all the demons, as long as you remain the Demon King.”

“So, what do you want from me?”

    I was completely confused.

If she didn’t care about other lives to the point of letting me exterminate all demons, why did she create the Demon Sword, why did it become the symbol of the Demon King, and why did she want me to become the Demon King?

“Nothing, really. If I had to pick something, it would be for the demons to survive. They’re closer to me than that the human-loving goddess, but I don’t really care about them either. As long as you’re on my side, the rest of the demons can die for all I care.”

“You’re overestimating me, and it’s making me suspicious. You don’t expect me to believe you, do you?”

After trying to kill me with that so-called demon god’s aura that wasn’t even in the original story, how could I possibly believe her now?

I tightened my grip on the light spear, thinking about attacking her right then and there. I didn’t know anything about the demon god, so I wasn’t sure if I could win, but…

‘There’s no guarantee she won’t attack me either.’

Maybe she was trying to brainwash me, or maybe she was planning to ambush and incapacitate me before taking me to her territory. Or perhaps this whole act of flattering me was a lie. Either way, I couldn’t let my guard down.

“Hey, you don’t have to be so tense. I didn’t come here to fight.”

Noticing my distrust, the demon god raised her hands to her sides.

“I have no intention of attacking. Even if I get hit first, I won’t fight back. So, can’t we just talk this out? Please? I’m serious. Just trust me once. I’m begging you.”

    “Why should I?”

“Because it’s a lose-lose situation for me if we fight. The odds of winning are slim, and even if I win, I gain nothing. If we fight, you’ll never join my side, or you might die, and in the meantime, the goddess will run rampant. Why would I do something that brings me nothing but losses?”

She seemed to have her own logic for trying to convince me. I lowered the tip of the light spear slightly.

If she had made this proposal without interfering with the world so much, I might have seriously considered it.

But I still didn’t trust her. The time I had spent fighting the demon god’s aura was too long for that.

However, that didn’t mean I trusted the goddess either. If the demon god was hard to trust because of the long time we had been entangled, the goddess was hard to trust because of the short time we had known each other.

“It’s strange. My offer is clearly better.”

The demon god pouted, clearly upset that I was still hesitating.

“Following the goddess and saving the world won’t get you much. At most, you’ll get a few years of gratitude and some money. But as the Demon King, you can have whatever you want for the rest of your life. Have you even met the goddess? Will she make you the human king if you kill the Demon King?”

“I rejected you because you don’t even know what you did wrong. Go back and think carefully about what you did.”

Just listening to what she was saying now was enough to know that she didn’t realize that strengthening the demons with her aura was wrong.

There was nothing more to say until she realized it herself.

“And, I don’t trust you, but I don’t trust the goddess either. I’m more inclined to distrust both of you.”

‘Well, Laura before she lost her memory thought that either the goddess or the demon god was the key to maintaining this world, and most of all, there were too many suspicious things about the goddess for me to blindly trust her.’

The reason for her sudden change in personality during our first meeting had not been explained, and the fact that she was openly avoiding me while talking comfortably with Leona was also a strike against her.

I didn’t say much about the fact that she was helping humans, but from my perspective, the goddess and the demon god were just two sides of the same coin.

“Oh, really? You don’t believe in the goddess either? Okay, then I won’t say anything about it.”

The demon god’s voice brightened up, and she started jumping around excitedly. Her demeanor was so innocent that it was hard to imagine she was a demon god. Based on her appearance, speech, and personality, she seemed more like a girl in disguise.

‘Could the demon god also be a woman?’

I had assumed that the demon god would have an intimidating appearance to contrast with the goddess, but now that I thought about it, it wasn’t impossible for her to appear as a woman.

After all, this was a yuri romance world, even if I didn’t know why that description was attached to it, as it wasn’t mentioned in Laura’s diary or by the current Laura.

“She must have really found a sucker. It’s rare to find someone who can use divine power but doesn’t believe in the goddess. Or maybe she was that desperate.”

I stared blankly at the demon god as she giggled coquettishly, then opened my mouth to ask a question.

    “Is that your true form?”

The demon god, who seemed surprised that I had asked the question first, stopped humming and stared at me, then made a strange laugh as she spun around.

“What’s up with that? Am I that interesting?”

“If you don’t want to answer, it’s fine. I don’t need to know.”

“Okay, okay. You’re so impatient. No, this isn’t my true form. If I had descended directly, this whole place would have dried up and withered by now. It’s just an avatar, so it’s limited to drying up the ground beneath my feet.”

Since it was just an avatar, killing it wouldn’t have much meaning. I abandoned my plan to ambush her.

As I released the power from the light spear, the demon god giggled and smirked.

“Hehehe, that suits me just fine. I like people who are quick on the uptake. They seem more likely to move swiftly when I give them orders.”

    “Yeah, right.”

The demon god laughed out loud, finding my response hilarious for some reason.

“Ah, I’m glad I came. You know, I’m kind of impulsive by nature. I usually try to hide it, but sometimes it slips out without me realizing it. So, I get nervous wondering if I’ve messed things up, you know? Thankfully, I’ve never been caught.”

It was ridiculous to hear her worry about getting caught when there was no one around to see her in the first place.

“My offer still stands. Okay? It’s valid until you or the hero chop off my real body’s head. So, if you change your mind, let me know anytime.”

The demon god, who had been rambling on about things I hadn’t even asked about, finally said she would leave and waved goodbye.

“I’ll come back later! Give me an answer by then, okay?”

The demon god stretched her hand high above her head and waved it around. She seemed like an excited child on a field trip. Her black-covered body soon melted into the air and disappeared.

I sighed involuntarily. Why did such strange beings keep getting involved with me?

    Uuuuung……

As I was putting away the light spear and getting ready to return, the necklace in my pocket started to vibrate slightly. It was the necklace I had used to communicate with Elysier in the past.

Hoping that nothing urgent had happened, I put on the necklace.

“What’s up, Elysier? Do you have a question for me?”

“I have no business, but I have a very important question. Can you answer it for me?”

    “What is it?”

“Do you also think that the bigger your breasts are, the more effective your healing powers are?”

    .

    .

    .

The chairman sat down next to me with a beaming smile on her face. The table in front of us was filled with all sorts of food, all of which she had prepared herself.

At a glance, it looked like there was enough food for 20 people. I shuddered at the thought that she might be planning to make me eat all of it.

‘Maybe I should have said I already ate.’

I had honestly answered that I hadn’t eaten yet, but if I had said I had, we could have just had coffee and a few desserts.

“What would you like to eat first, child? If there’s anything you want, just say the word.”

“Actually, before that, there’s something I need to tell you.”

If I got caught up in her pace, there would be no end to it, so I needed to achieve my purpose for coming here first. I looked at the Chairman, or more specifically, at the massive mounds of flesh on her chest.

Even with both hands, I wouldn’t be able to hold even a quarter of the area of her chest, let alone half of it. The sheer volume of fat in front of me was overwhelming.

    “……”

I didn’t really want to do this, but since they had been discussing it for hours without reaching a conclusion while I was lost in thought, I had no choice.

‘The relationships formed in this world are meaningless.’

It was also a discussion that highlighted the stark difference in our perspectives on this world. For everyone but me, this world was nothing more than a novel written by Laura.

I could understand their perspective. Except for Rosalia, who had only returned four times, the others had witnessed the people in this world acting exactly according to the original story for hundreds of years.

Although Rosalia’s number of returns seemed small compared to Priscilla, Laura, and Elysier, 20 years was still a significant amount of time.

Four months was a ridiculously short time to completely shake off the feeling that this was a meticulously crafted world with meticulously crafted NPCs, a feeling that had solidified deep within their hearts over hundreds of years of repeated returns.

So it was natural for them to suggest experimenting with the Chairman’s body, since these relationships would all disappear when we returned to the real world anyway.

    “Child?”

I must have been lost in thought for too long, because a cautious voice called out to me. I snapped out of my reverie.

“Ah, I was just thinking about something. I’m sorry……?”

For some reason, the look in her eyes was a little strange. It was like the look of a mother witnessing her son’s growth. I wondered why, then realized the reason.

Since I had been staring at her chest and then got lost in thought, it was obvious that my gaze would still be fixed on her chest. From the Chairman’s perspective, what I had just done was clear.

“Hmm, I see. You were lost in thought. Don’t worry, I understand.”

The Chairman’s eyes curved with affection, and her gaze was as sweet as honey. I wanted to make an excuse, but I couldn’t think of anything to say. My mind felt completely frozen.

“Child, isn’t the room a little hot? It seems like you’re sweating a bit.”

“What?” I was just going to say that there’s a room temperature magic spell……

I stopped mid-sentence as the Chairman suddenly started unbuttoning her shirt. Her long fingers easily undid the buttons, stopping only after the third one.

With the buttons undone, the already tightly stretched shirt pulled even further apart, revealing a massive valley between her breasts. The weight and volume were so overwhelming that it seemed like the shirt might tear at any moment.

But that wasn’t the end of it. She raised her elbows to her ears, exposing her armpits, then tilted her neck to look at me as she rearranged her barely disheveled hair.

The spotless armpits revealed themselves as her arms moved, changing angles and exposing their soft flesh without restraint. The overwhelming weight and volume of her chest right below them only added to the effect.

“There, now it’s better. I’m sorry for showing you my disheveled appearance.”

The Chairman slowly swayed her chest, exposing her armpits and rearranging her hair, then lowered her arms and smiled. But the crescent-shaped eyes remained the same.

“Now, shall we continue? You said you had something to tell me, didn’t you? Feel free to speak your mind.”

The Chairman hooked herindex finger into her shirt and pulled it down slightly, exposing more of her cleavage. A faint scent of milk wafted up from her chest and gently tickled my nostrils.

“I’ll listen to anything you have to say, child.”

    “……”

Did she just emphasize that one word a little too much, or was it my imagination?
