Chapter Index

Diana made excellent use of the healing magician I had brought with me.

With his spirit broken, Andrei spilled everything he knew, and Diana was naturally furious when she learned that the reason for the attack on the merchant guild was indeed because he had rejected her date proposal.

Diana kept her word and used all her connections to initiate a tax investigation of Kingdom of Heaven. Being a place that operated on the border of legal and illegal activities, it was naturally destroyed.

News also reached us that the woman who had taken over as the leader of Kingdom of Heaven when we took Andrei away had been hauled off as the representative, but as is often the case, it was the fate of someone who had missed their chance to seize power.

And so, the ownership of Kingdom of Heaven, now headless, was smoothly transferred to my little sister, Trisha Crate.

“It seems she’s found her true calling.”

“You really never know what life has in store for you.”

“Brother, I think it’s a bit inappropriate for you, who is only eight years younger than me, to be saying that to your big sister.”

Surprisingly, Trisha displayed an unexpected talent. She managed to stabilize the chaos and reopen the casino in just two days.

Diana was speechless, wondering how this leech had such talent. Listening to her, it seemed like she had rushed to get things done so she could use the casino herself, but only she knew the truth.

“Thank you so much, employer… I will never forget this favor… I will repay you even if it costs me my life. I swear it.”

In addition to allowing her siblings to live in the Crate Merchant Guild’s building, we also wiped out their debt, and Ibrante bowed her head to us with tears streaming down her face.

There was no particular reason for wiping out the debt. It wasn’t a debt to us, and it wasn’t a legitimate debt to begin with. Wiping it out caused us no harm at all.

Despite my protests, Ibrante spent almost the entire day bowing her head in front of my room, and the next day, her siblings came one by one to express their gratitude.

Especially the girl who had started working as Diana’s accounting assistant, she insisted on bowing all day like her older sister, which actually caused us more trouble as we tried to dissuade her from doing so.

“Um, Oppa. What’s your ideal type of woman?”

“Well, it’s definitely not you, little one.”

“Chi, little one? There’s only a two-year age difference between us.”

Her strange question earned her a strange look from her big sister.

After dealing with Andrei and his gang, it was truly a time of rest. I spent peaceful days being served by Beatrice and Nika, something I hadn’t experienced in a long time.

Beatrice seemed very satisfied that she could take care of me all day, and because of this, Nika had to sneak around to ask for my essence, afraid of incurring Beatrice’s wrath.

Perhaps because of this, a small incident occurred. While indulging in the usual pleasurable moans and transferring essence, my lower body lost its strength, and I accidentally let out a bit of the Queen’s power.

I managed to purify it immediately, and since the only person nearby was Beatrice, the incident didn’t escalate. However, that night, I had to endure being tightly hugged by Beatrice, who seemed to have lost her self-control for some reason.

“I’m sorry, Master. It’s my fault that you had to…”

“It’s fine. Compared to the incident with the chairman, this is nothing.”

    “……Huh?”

Nika’s face turned pale, and her body trembled as she seemed to be imagining something.

    “Are you leaving now?”

“I’ve been telling you for days. Don’t make that face.”

Beatrice looked at me with tears in her eyes, like a mother sending her son off to war. In this world, I had another mother, and we had just finished eating together.

“I’ve rested enough for a week. I made promises with the others, so it’s time to go.”

I had met up with Laura and Priscilla a few times in between. Both of them seemed to be in a psychological state where the longer they were apart, the more uncertain they felt.

Priscilla was holding up much better than I expected, but she hugged me more fiercely than usual, even going so far as to wear only her underwear so that she could feel me more intimately. I had to stop her from taking off all her clothes.

Laura, on the other hand, snatched my outerwear as soon as she saw me and wore it herself, refusing to give it back. That day, I had to repeatedly put on new clothes only to have them taken away.

Elysier was doing well, comfortably living in the academy’s dormitory. Thankfully, she was close to being normal, which was a relief. Occasionally, she displayed a slightly twisted personality, but that was well within the realm of normal.

Rosalia was acting as a simbol for the newly established sect. Since she had rested a lot, she needed to do some hard work.

“Yes, if there is anything you desire, please let me know, young master. I, Beatrice, am ready to assist you wherever and whenever you need me.”

    “Thank you, Beatrice.”

I bid farewell to Beatrice and then met with Nika separately to supply her with essence before heading to the location where I had promised to meet Leona.

Even though I had left about ten minutes early, Leona and Aria were already waiting for me, waving their hands as they approached.

Leona was wearing an off-shoulder crop top that exposed her shoulders and navel, along with tight leather pants that ended well above her thighs. Aria wore a light blue ankle-length dress that fluttered gracefully.

Aria, as the protagonist of a romance novel, exuded a pure and delicate aura no matter what she wore, but Leona’s outfit choice was quite unexpected.

    “You both look great.”

“Huh?! I, I didn’t ask for your evaluation yet!”

“Thank you, Mira. It’s worth it to have worn these outfits.”

It was unexpected, but I gave them my honest opinion, and Leona’s face turned bright red as she averted her gaze. Aria smiled brightly.

“What do you want to do? Do you want to go straight to your village, or do you want to hang out in the city since we’re already here?”

“Let’s hang out here! There’s not much to do in the village anyway. You’ll get bored out of your mind in a day or two.”

“I agree with Leona. I’ve been helping my mother with her work, but… it’s just as boring as the countryside.”

As I had felt before, the relationship between Aria and Leona had changed significantly. In the original story, they created so many pink-tinged moments that there was no room for boredom.

“Then let’s stay here until night and then take a carriage to your village. I’ll pay for it.”

    “Yeah! Let’s go!”

Leona smiled happily and clung to my right arm, while Aria beamed and clung to my left. The piercing gazes of men passing by didn’t seem to bother them at all.

“By the way, what happened to the holy sword?”

Something felt missing, and I realized that I hadn’t seen the holy sword that Leona usually carried. Leona lowered her gaze slightly.

    “I left it at home.”

    “Really? Why?”

“……You said it yourself, Mira. I’m Leona Brynhild before I’m the Hero. Today, I wanted to be just Leona by your side.”

Clap, clap, clap. I turned to the side at the sound of applause. Aria was smiling at us.

    “We’re here!”

After sending the carriage driver away with triple the usual fare for bringing us to this remote mountain valley late at night, we walked for about ten minutes before we could see wooden houses in the distance.

Just as Leona had said, the village was located deep in the mountains, but the terrain was perfect. Despite being surrounded by mountains, the basin had an incredibly vast flat area, and there was only one proper path leading to it, making access extremely difficult unless one traversed the mountain range multiple times.

There were also nearby creeks, rivers, and three large lakes, ensuring an abundant water supply. Perhaps Laura had put extra effort into describing the protagonist’s living environment.

    “This is a nice place.”

“Everyone says that at first. But after living here for ten years, the scenery becomes mundane and uninspiring.”

    “To be honest, I agree.”

The two of them laughed lightly as we continued walking into the village. It was quite late at night, so most of the houses were dark. Beside me, Leona whispered, “Did we play too long?” with a sheepish smile.

“Your parents must be asleep by now.”

“Probably. Let’s go to my house first.”

“Yeah. I also need to… I mean, you need to greet them properly. You know I don’t mean anything weird by that, right, Mira?”

After her previous mistake of choosing the wrong word and getting thoroughly scolded by the four reincarnators, Leona quickly tried to explain herself. I played along, as I didn’t really care.

Leona, relieved, took the lead, with Aria and me following behind. I wondered what was so amusing as she hummed a tune, and Aria whispered to me.

“She’s actually really excited. She’s been practicing how to give you a good first impression of her parents. She even consulted me about it.”

    “Really?”

    “No, I didn’t!”

Leona, the Hero with enhanced hearing, blushed furiously and responded, her face clearly visible even in the darkness of the night.

    “Ahem. Here we are.”

We stopped in front of a three-story house, the largest building in the vicinity.

Leona’s parents hadn’t been keen on the idea, but the villagers had taken the initiative, insisting that the parents of a Hero shouldn’t live in a shabby house.

“Mom! Dad! I’m back! I brought Aria and Mira too!”

    “Come in. Just a moment.”

Soon, a woman who was likely Leona’s mother appeared.

As expected, the mother and daughter looked very similar. It felt like if Leona aged and became more mature, she would look just like her mother. One might even question where her father’s genes went, as it seemed she had inherited very little from him. It was almost as if she had been born solely from her mother.

    “Here’s a gift for you. Where’s Dad?”

“He’s on a monster hunt. You know that, right?”

“Again? I thought it was over after I helped last time.”

“We thought so too, but it seems it’s not.”

The mother and daughter exchanged a concerned look before turning to me. Not wanting to show their worries to an outsider, they quickly erased the somber expressions from their faces.

“Welcome. I’ve heard a lot about you from my daughter. I’m Silvia Brynhild.”

    “I’m Mira Crate.”

Silvia looked me up and down and smiled warmly.

“Hehe, you’re even more impressive than my daughter described. I thought she might have been wearing rose-tinted glasses, but it seems it was the opposite.”

    “Mom!”

“Oh, did I say something I shouldn’t have? What about the dating advice I gave you the other day…?”

“It’s late, so let’s just unpack first and talk later. Standing here and chatting will just make our legs hurt…”

Leona, the Hero, moved at a speed befitting her title to cover her mother’s lips, clearly not wanting her to spill any more secrets.
