As you can see in the video, Chuuni Arang-i survives the Abyss boss’s gimmick attack without flinching or getting staggered.

Basically, in Leo Le, if you take damage exceeding 50% of your HP, you’re supposed to get staggered.

So, except for tanks, you should avoid all attacks except those you absolutely have to take. But Chuuni Arang takes almost 95% damage to her HP and still moves.

The important thing here is that she protects all her vitals with her left arm and left leg while parrying everything on the right side. So, naturally, the stagger should have come from her left limbs, and she should have died without avoiding the last attack.

But as you can see, Chuuni Arang avoids it without getting staggered. So, I experimented.

Even though I have much better gear and overwhelmingly higher health and defense than Chuuni Arang, I got staggered. The stagger from losing 55% of my HP prevents me from moving as expected.

So, how the hell does Chuuni Arang not get staggered?

There are a few ways to avoid getting staggered.

The first is the poise stat that everyone knows about. It’s the stagger immunity passive that tanks have. But Chuuni Arang is a Soma, so that’s not it.

The second is the poise option on equipment. But to nullify a stagger when 95% of your HP is being shaved off, you need at least 1000 poise stat. It’s just impossible. Chuuni Arang’s gear is from the underground cave, to begin with.

The third is hacking, illegal modification.

But Leo Le officially stated in an announcement that Chuuni Arang is not hacking or using illegal modifications.
