The Birth of a Hero
by Afuhfuihgs
1.
It was late at night.
I went to the President’s office of the Academy.
I had been attacked during my bath.
The unknown source of Demonic energy was clearly after my life.
If I had been swallowed into its maw, I would have been tainted by Demonic energy, my life hanging by a thread.
“It seems this student was used as a sacrifice…”
The President of the Imperial Academy, Croto, examined the student’s condition.
A male student who had been in the darkness.
He was still breathing, but his entire body was filled with Demonic energy, leaving him unconscious.
I had managed to suppress the congealed Demonic energy with my Divinity, but he needed intensive treatment at the temple.
“There’s definitely a Demon race’s minion inside the Academy.”
This incident, too.
And the last one as well.
To be caught up in such things twice.
This was no coincidence.
It was the work of someone targeting the Saintess’s soul.
It’s fortunate that it was me…
If it had been someone else, they would have met their end the moment they encountered the Demon in the forest.
“Which department does this student belong to?”
“Judging by the Emblem, he’s a third-year in the Swordsmanship department.”
“Swordsmanship department again?”
A simple thought would lead one to suspect that the culprit is within the Swordsmanship department.
But that’s too simplistic.
It’s possible that someone who isn’t in the Swordsmanship department used only people from the Swordsmanship department.
A simple trick to mislead.
Whether that’s the case or not, the fact remains that we can’t identify the culprit…
“President, could you tell me about Ether professor?”
For some reason, he keeps bothering me.
There’s no basis for it.
It was purely a judgment based on intuition.
“Does the Saintess have an interest in me?”
The door to the President’s office opened, and Ether professor entered.
Ether professor bowed to President Croto.
“Ether professor, what brings you here at this hour?”
“I’ve caught the culprit behind this incident.”
“The culprit?”
“Yes, come in.”
Soon after, three people entered.
Two knights.
And a man restrained in the middle.
“Huh? This person is…?”
It was a familiar face.
When I went to the Swordsmanship department dormitory a few days ago.
It was the Assistant professor from the Magic department who was guarding the Assistant professor’s room in question.
“Grrrr…!”
He was completely out of his mind.
His eyes were stained black.
Saliva dripped from his sharply raised fangs.
“We found him near the Theology department dormitory.”
And, Ether professor said, lifting the man’s clothes.
“That’s…!”
President Croto’s eyes widened.
It was because of the tattoo on the man’s solar plexus.
A tattoo with three black stars embedded in it.
It was a mark that appeared on those who borrowed power from the Demon race, that is, those who made a deal with the Demon race.
“He seems to have gone mad from not being able to withstand the Demonic energy. If we leave him like this, he’ll turn into a Demon.”
“Kuaaa!”
The man roared.
Black smoke billowed from his throat.
It was the same thing that had tried to attack me.
“How should we dispose of him?”
Ether professor asked politely.
“We can’t handle this on our own, so we’ll have to hand him over to the Imperial Knights.”
“I’ll contact them right away tomorrow.”
“I appreciate your trouble, Ether professor.”
“Trouble? It’s only natural to do this for the safety of the Academy.”
Is this how the incident is resolved?
It’s definitely a relief, but it feels a bit anticlimactic.
My intuition was wrong after all.
I thought Ether professor was suspicious, but the culprit was caught.
Still…
Why doesn’t this uneasy feeling go away?
2.
The next day.
The entrance ceremony was held without a hitch.
The culprit who caused the Demon incident during the entrance exam had been caught, so we could enjoy the entrance ceremony with peace of mind.
…Could she be among them?
Yuriel looked around.
The freshmen from the Swordsmanship department, Magic department, and Theology department were gathered in the main stadium.
Yuriel looked for an unidentified girl mixed in among the freshmen.
There were few clues.
A beautiful voice like beads rolling.
Petite, but one of the charms of a woman was voluptuously swollen.
Such a size is not common…
That’s all I felt with my back.
But I could immediately tell that the plumpness was not of ordinary size.
At least the size of a head.
Yuriel’s golden eyes were fixed on the breasts of the female students.
Feeling the intense gaze, the female students turned away from Yuriel’s gaze.
It was the moment when rumors spread that the Skolhart Family’s young lady was crazy about women’s breasts.
“Distinguished students, I sincerely congratulate you on your admission to the Academy.”
The entrance ceremony began with the congratulatory remarks from the President of the Imperial Academy.
Listening to the boring and trite greetings with one ear and letting them out with the other, Yuriel continued to look around.
I really wanted to meet that girl.
Regardless of whether we become friends or not.
I wanted to see the girl’s swordsmanship with my own eyes once again.
It was only for a brief moment, but the swordsmanship the girl used was the Skolhart Family’s swordsmanship.
I wanted to ask.
How can you use that?
That’s how I was looking around and scanning the breasts of the female students.
“Next, there will be greetings from the freshmen representatives of each department.”
Freshmen representatives.
Students who passed the entrance exam with top marks.
The freshmen representatives from the Swordsmanship department and Magic department came up to the platform one after another, followed by the Theology department representative.
“…Found her?”
Breasts that swayed up and down with each step she took up the stairs.
Yuriel’s eyes were fixed on the breasts of the Theology department representative, the Saintess.
Yuriel’s eyes followed the Saintess’s breasts as they swayed.
It’s not certain.
But her height and body frame were similar to that girl.
Above all, that blonde hair was the same as the one that flowed down to the girl’s chest.
Was it the Saintess?
I can’t believe it at all.
It doesn’t make sense logically.
“Hello, everyone.”
After the greetings from the Swordsmanship department and Magic department representatives, the greeting from the Theology department representative began.
This voice…!
It’s the same.
It was the voice of the girl I met yesterday morning.
I don’t think it makes sense, but all the clues pointed to the girl’s identity as the Saintess.
Yuriel stared intensely at the Saintess.
Seeing that, the female students around her felt, ‘As expected…!’
They thought that the Skolhart Family’s young lady, who had been staring at the breasts of the female students since earlier, was showing interest in the Saintess’s large breasts.
3.
The entrance ceremony proceeded smoothly.
The official events were over, and the freshmen went to their respective department buildings to attend the celebration party.
The three freshmen representatives were heading to the President’s office for a separate meeting with the Academy President.
“That was a great greeting, Sister.”
The freshmen representative from the Swordsmanship department, Hoth, said with a cheerful laugh.
His white teeth stood out even more because of his tanned skin.
“Thank you. And don’t call me Sister.”
“You said it’s okay when it’s just the two of us, didn’t you?”
“It’s not just the two of us now.”
Elia glanced behind her.
“Haaauuum… Uuum…”
A girl yawning with her mouth wide open.
A large conical hat and a large robe.
She was holding a large teddy bear on one side.
The freshmen representative from the Magic department, Lua Pertel.
She had sleepy eyes and was nodding off while walking.
She had been in that state even before the entrance ceremony started.
She still looked tired even though she hugged her teddy bear and slept during the entrance ceremony.
I didn’t expect that girl to become the freshmen representative from the Magic department.
I thought it would be Reine, of course.
But the Magic department held a separate third exam, so the top student was determined there.
The Magic department’s third entrance exam was a written exam.
There were five Magic circle analysis questions.
Considering that the average score was less than 40 out of 100, you can see how difficult the exam was.
Lua was the only one who got a perfect score there.
The exam proctors were shocked.
They made the questions so that no one could get a perfect score, but someone got a perfect score.
“I didn’t know you were here!”
She said rude things in a loud voice.
“By the way, I heard that the culprit of the Demon incident yesterday was caught?”
Elia nodded.
“Yes, I heard he’ll be handed over to the Imperial Knights by tomorrow.”
It’s not a distance that can be traveled from the Imperial capital to the Imperial Academy overnight.
Even the fastest carriage takes almost two days.
“You seem uneasy?”
“I’m a little uneasy.”
“What is it?”
“I don’t know if that Assistant professor is really the culprit.”
“I heard there was also evidence that he made a deal with the Demon race?”
“Still… that kind of thing is definitely… huh?”
One possibility flashed through Elia’s mind.
‘Double contract…!’
An incident that happened on the battlefield a long time ago came to mind.
There was a case where an internal traitor gave the Demonic energy he obtained from the Demon race to others to increase the number of contractors.
So one squad became contractors and annihilated two companies.
What if this time, too, they made a double contract…?
It was when she thought of that possibility.
“Stop.”
Elia grabbed Hoth’s wrist. And pulled him back.
“Oh, uh?”
Hoth, who was about to fall, steadied himself by grabbing the wall.
“What’s wrong all of a sudden…?”
It was at that moment.
-Bang!!
The floor exploded.
Darkness bloomed and covered the hallway.
““Krrr…!””
Along with the growl of a beast, dozens of red Eye light flickered in the darkness.
