Chapter Index

    Serial Murders in Stozanya City

Norbert smiled with a satisfied expression.

“Eueum. Good. As expected, becoming a subordinate of the God of Darkness-nim is the best. Hahaha.”

Dark humans around him flattered him.

“That’s right! Congratulations on becoming a subordinate, Norbert-nim!”

“Please take good care of us too!”

Norbert, receiving the service of the women, spoke with a serious expression.

“The God of Darkness has given us a mission.”

    “What is it?”

“You all know about the Crow case, right?”

    “Yes!”

“The God of Darkness will welcome Crow as an ally. All Dark humans will package Crow’s crimes as resistance against the oppression and tyranny of the wealthy, and spread resistance ideology to the working class.”

    A Dark human asked.

“Are you thinking of inciting a worker rebellion?”

“Let me be more specific. First, we will create a labor union. And we will educate the workers about workers’ rights and how to acquire rights through resistance. We will incite strikes throughout Stozanya City, destroy factories, and seize the assets of the wealthy to create a world for the workers.”

“But isn’t education alone too weak to unite workers and lead them to action?”

“That’s why we need sacrifices. Sacrifices must come from both the working class and the wealthy class.”

    “I see.”

“If the labor union is launched under the leadership of Dark humans, the church will be suspicious. We need the participation of ordinary people in the launch of the labor union.”

The Dark humans said in unison.

“I will try to persuade my family and friends.”

That day, Norbert launched something called a ‘labor union’ for the first time in the Hamel Empire.

The labor union claimed to be an organization for the rights and welfare of workers.

Various middle-class people and workers joined the labor union, and the number of members gradually increased through the promotion of the union members.

Among the smart middle-class people, many sympathized with the ideology of the labor union.

When the Stozanya Business Association members expressed concern about the workers uniting and put pressure on Marquis Miriam, Marquis Miriam called Norbert and scolded him.

“Norbert! What are you doing! Stozanya City lives off of businesses, what will happen if the workers unite and the production volume decreases!”

“Mother. What is the meaning of development that only a few are happy with? Countless workers have shed blood and suffered in order for the upper class to enjoy the benefits of development. We must return some of the benefits of development to the workers as well.”

“The rights of commoners are lower than those of nobles! The Hamel Empire has become a powerful nation in the Elia Continent because we squeezed the commoners to increase corporate production! Now is the time when sacrifices are needed to prepare for the war with the God of Darkness!”

“Happy workers have higher productivity. The situation where workers are used for a few years and then discarded when they get occupational diseases must disappear. Rather, keeping them healthy and using them as skilled workers will be beneficial to the company in the long run.”

The mother and son continued to argue like this, but they could not find common ground because their ideologies were too different.

Marquis Miriam eventually kicked her son out of the Marquis’s mansion.

She didn’t completely banish her son from the Marquis family, but she kicked him out so that he could suffer a little outside.

Norbert came to live in the Dark Human Association building, and it wasn’t too difficult because the Dark human beauties volunteered to serve him.

Due to the influence of the labor union, many workers rebelled against the unfair treatment of companies by leaving the factory as a group, and the protests became more intense.

Among the workers, some people praised Crow’s actions and attacked the wealthy, and were caught by the security forces.

The workers’ resentment had been building up for a long time, and it was finally erupting.

The wealthy fired or threatened workers who joined the labor union.

However, it was not very effective because the labor union financially helped the laid-off workers and resisted the threats by uniting and gathering force.

Now, workers armed with wrenches, clubs, and hammers roamed the streets in groups, and the wealthy or gangsters couldn’t mess with them for fear of getting hit.

It was a touch-and-go situation where both the wealthy and the workers felt anger towards each other.

It was a few days after the labor union was launched.

Inquisitor Leader Roshan and Deputy Leader Umakant arrived in Stozanya City.

Forty Inquisitors resided in Stozanya City, watching the movements of the Dark humans, and recently discovered a series of suspicious movements and contacted the leader.

When Roshan and Umakant got off at the station, 10 Inquisitors came out to greet them.

    “Leader-nim! Deputy Leader-nim! Welcome.”

    Roshan also greeted them simply.

    “Have you been well?”

    “Yes!”

Roshan remembered the Inquisitors’ report and asked again.

“So, the Dark Human Association took the initiative to create something called a labor union, and while closely observing it, they discovered that the dark energy of Norbert, the president of the Dark Human Association, had become stronger. Is that right?”

    “That’s right!”

“Eiiing. Those Dark human bastards are plotting something. Should we kill them all before it gets worse?”

Umakant persuaded him with a serious face.

“Leader-nim. King Madhan told us not to kill without evidence, didn’t he? That’s just getting involved. If I’m right, the labor union will start a rebellion. How about getting permission from Marquis Miriam at that time and killing all the Dark humans?”

    Roshan smirked.

“Hihit! You’re right. Let’s wipe out all the seeds of darkness in Stozanya City this time!”

Roshan shouted while raising his hands.

    “A-men!”

The other Inquisitors also shouted with fanatical faces while raising their hands.

    “A-men!”

The goal of the Inquisitors was only to eliminate the darkness that defied Goddess Elia, so they had no interest in the ideology of the labor union.

Roshan and Umakant decided to stay with the other Inquisitors in the priest’s quarters of the Stozanya City Cathedral and wait.

The Hero party joined the labor union according to Norbert’s persuasion.

During the day, the Hero party saw the poor living and working conditions of the workers and encouraged them, and at night, they stayed at the homes of 4 Stozanya Business Association members and waited.

Park Gyeong-cheol, who came from modern Earth, was the most angry about the bleak reality of the Hamel Empire’s workers.

“This can’t be! How can they not give workers any protective gear! What’s with kicking them out and threatening them when they get occupational diseases!”

A mother whose daughter had an occupational disease grabbed Park Gyeong-cheol’s hand, shed tears, and pleaded.

“Please avenge my daughter. My husband is dead, and it’s just me and my daughter. But Mana Power says that it’s not the company’s responsibility, so I have to find out the cause of my daughter’s illness myself. Waaah.”

Mana Power was inherited and operated by Jacque’s son, and he treated the workers harshly just like his father.

    Park Gyeong-cheol vowed inwardly.

‘I have experienced a more developed society on Earth. The workers on this continent live in such poor conditions. I have to teach the concept of workers’ rights to this continent. This is what a Hero should do.’

Park Gyeong-cheol went to the places where the workers were protesting and joined them, and enthusiastically explained to the workers about the workers’ rights that he knew.

Park Gyeong-cheol gradually became the spiritual pillar and center of the workers.

Prince Andre was a little displeased, but he decided to follow Park Gyeong-cheol.

The workers gained great strength from the fact that the Hero of the continent supported them, and they more enthusiastically asserted their rights.

Marquis Miriam and the Stozanya Business Association members tried to appease and pressure Park Gyeong-cheol, but Park Gyeong-cheol was unwavering.

The fact that Park Gyeong-cheol hated Victor, the second generation of Dragon Electronics, who was the son of the Stozanya Business Association chairman, also played a part.

Park Gyeong-cheol had many difficult times, but Serena encouraged him from the side, so Park Gyeong-cheol was able to overcome everything and support the workers.

Serena was always on Park Gyeong-cheol’s side.

“Gyeong-cheol-ah! I believe that you will make the continent much more beautiful!”

Three weeks have passed since the labor union was launched.

During this period, 3 additional Crow victims occurred.

The victims were a financial fraudster who took money from the weak, a loan shark, and one Stozanya Business Association member that the Hero party was not waiting for.

As I still haven’t met Crow, I, Na Kyle, was starting to get impatient.

‘Norbert, that guy. Is his taste completely unique?’

Today, I followed Park Gyeong-cheol with Nisa and encouraged the labor union members, and then returned to Baron Margit’s mansion.

Baron Margit treated us well whether we were labor union members or not because we were his lifeline to preserve his life from the murderer.

At night, in a room a little away from Baron Margit’s room, Nisa and I fell into a light sleep.

While I was sleeping soundly, I felt a familiar dark energy approaching Margit’s mansion.

I am very sensitive to dark energy because I am the God of Darkness.

‘This is an energy I felt once before. Who was it?’

When the dark energy arrived at Margit’s window, I shot my energy towards it.

‘If he knows me, he will come to me. If not, I will give him physical education and make him listen.’

The dark energy seemed flustered and spun around, then approached my room’s window.

    ‘Nice!’

I got up from the bed and woke Nisa up too.

    “Eueung~ honey. What’s wrong?”

“Crow is coming, so wake up.”

    “Huh?! Okay.”

After setting up a soundproof magic, I waited for a few minutes, and a fly with dark energy entered through the half-open window.

    Aeeeeaeaeaeang

The fly suddenly grew bigger and bigger, became a 3m monster, and threatened.

“How did an Elf scrub spread the energy of the God of Darkness-nim? Tell me quickly if you don’t want to be torn to shreds and die.”

“Hey. Don’t you remember me? I’m Kamaite.”

I transformed my arm into a Tentacle and shot out dark energy.

The monster was surprised, opened its mouth wide, and stood blankly, then spread its arms and ran towards me.

    “Kamaite-nim!”

The monster hugged me tightly, lifted me up, and danced around.

“Kamaite-nim! I missed you! Why are you only coming now!”

“Now put me down. Have you been well? Hyde?”

Hyde had been my loyal subordinate since a thousand years ago.

Hyde was originally Jekyll, a human archmage who studied monster Chimera a thousand years ago.

Jekyll’s experiments were so cruel that many monsters died or suffered as test subjects.

I caught Jekyll, wrapped him tightly with Tentacles so that he could not sleep, and then soaked him in the Chimera solution he had created so that he could experience the same pain.

Jekyll suffered unimaginable pain in a situation where he could not sleep.

A new personality separated from Jekyll’s original personality, and he became a split personality.

The original personality recognized himself as Jekyll and maintained morality.

The new personality called himself Hyde and called Jekyll his brother.

Inside the Chimera solution, Jekyll hid his personality inside and let Hyde go out to suffer instead.

Jekyll’s personality was protected, but Hyde was completely tainted with madness and soaked in the Chimera solution, becoming a monster of darkness.

The unique thing about this guy was that even his soul was divided, so when Jekyll’s personality was revealed, he became his original human form, and when Hyde’s personality was revealed, he became a monster.

This was a phenomenon that occurred because the body and soul influenced each other.

A thousand years ago, Hyde’s personality was so strong that he only lived as Hyde.

Hyde was impressed by my dark energy and swore eternal loyalty to me, and worked as a biotechnology researcher to strengthen Tentacles.

Hyde put me down on the bed and explained.

“After Kamaite-nim lost the Tentacle War, my brother Jekyll’s personality became stronger. My brother has lived for a thousand years, working as a researcher, doctor, and various other jobs. He is now running a small surgical clinic. And he has been steadily taking mental barrier drugs to prevent me from coming out.”

    “But you’ve gotten stronger recently.”

“That’s right. My personality has been gaining strength little by little since about a year ago.”

“It must have been when I awakened as a demigod.”

“These days, I can come out on my own will once or twice a week. Every time I come out, I devour humans.”

    “You’re doing well.”

“But what is that delicious-looking Fairy next to you?”

    Nisa got angry.

    “I’m delicious!”

    I introduced her.

    “This is my wife, Nisa.”

Hyde instantly changed his attitude and rubbed his hands together, saying.

“Hehe. You’re the Madam. I’m sorry about just now. Please take good care of me in the future.”

I explained to Hyde the journey I had taken to get here and my future plans, and also said that I had changed my name to Kyle.

Hyde was impressed by my achievements.

“Wow. As expected, Kyle-nim is amazing. The future of the Dark race is completely bright.”

“That’s right. Are you going to participate here too?”

“Isn’t that obvious? But I have a favor to ask.”

    “What is it?”

“Can’t you leave the humans alone? I like humans so much….”

He meant that he liked to eat humans.

“I’m also thinking about a human domestication plan. So that you can freely choose from a variety of the highest quality humans.”

Hyde swallowed hard, drooling just imagining it.

“Gulp. I’m looking forward to it.”

“You weren’t a subordinate back then, but how about becoming my subordinate now? If you become a subordinate, you can communicate even when you’re apart.”
