Seonbae (Yudong) – Foxes Are a Bit Much

    * Seonbae (Yudong) – Foxes Are a Bit Much (2)

Yudong, sitting at a cafe within the apartment complex, with desserts lined up in front of him, lets out a small breath. He tries his best to maintain a normal demeanor to hide his nervousness, but that’s impossible amidst all the ajumma-deul. Besides, a camera lens is clearly visible through the gap in the bag on the table, and he can’t shake the feeling that things will blow up if he makes any mistakes now.

What am I even doing right now?

I just wanted to visit my hoobae in the hospital.

I should have just stayed home quietly.

With regrets like that, he puts a piece of bread in his mouth. Even in this situation, his phone rings obnoxiously, with self-proclaimed oppa-deul (those bar bitches who are actually older than him) looking for him, but he figures it’s too risky to even turn on his phone right now, so he clicks it off.

‘Thankfully, there are a lot of people. I see some familiar faces, so nothing should happen.’

He confirms that some rough-looking men in black suits, who weren’t there until just now, have sat down at a nearby table. They were the bald guy’s subordinates who usually watch Yudong, but he immediately realizes that these women contacted him while they were briefly away.

‘This is like something out of a movie. Junseo’s subordinates in the back, a women’s group in the front, and me, a one-night stand guy who was just banging bar bitches until recently. How did this happen?’

    Munch, munch, gulp.

He grabbed a piece of bread to stall for time, but that’s gone now too.

    “Shall we start talking?”

“Yes, yes, why are you talking to me all of a sudden? I have nothing to do with any women’s groups. If you’re going to make me fill out some weird survey, I’m leaving right now.”

“It’s nothing like that. We’re looking into student Lee Junseo, so we wanted to talk to you for a moment. You’re seonbae-hoobae at the same university, right?”

“No. We’re in the same department, but we’re not close. Can I leave now?”

“Aigoo, you’re a good liar. Then why did you come here? This is Junseo’s house.”

“It’s not like he’s the only one living here. I’m leaving, okay?”

“Tell us who you came to see, and then you can go.”

    “Euk…?!”

Juyeonmi, the center director and boss of these followers, immediately latched onto his words. She had no intention of letting him go, using her followers to grab his shoulders and force him to sit down as he tried to stand up. It wasn’t noisy or noticeable, but it was definitely uncomfortable and infuriating.

    “Hey, ajumma.”

“Ajumma? Call me noona, okay? There’s not that much of an age difference.”

“Okay, Juyeonmi noona. What do you want from me that you’re doing this? You’re being too forceful for a first meeting. Can you let go of my shoulders so we can talk?”

“What? What shoulders? I don’t see anything.”

    ‘This shibal-lyeon.’

He felt an intense urge to beat up a woman for the first time at her glib smile, but he knew that losing his temper would only make things worse for him. Yudong suppressed his sudden anger and just smiled.

“Can I just shout and run out of here?”

“Yes, go ahead. While you’re at it, should we shout too? We can say you sexually harassed us. You know what kind of era we live in, right? It’s obvious which side has the advantage, but if you’re okay with that, then do whatever the fuck you want.”

“At least you guys shouldn’t be making threats like that…”

“We get so many consultations of this type every day. We know all the know-how. So, will you just sit still quietly? We’re busy too, and we don’t want to get into a legal battle with you one by one. Once we’re done talking, we’ll let you go nicely, so let’s not be assholes to each other.”

“You guys are funny… What’s this and that…?”

It was an attitude that clearly looked down on the other person. But he couldn’t escape, and Junseo’s subordinates behind the backrest didn’t come to help right away either. They were taking a wait-and-see attitude, but even that made Yudong uncomfortable.

‘I know I can’t expect help from anyone. Why are these shibal useless bastards just watching?’

There must be a reason why the subordinates weren’t intervening. So, he repeatedly vowed to watch his mouth, and the moment he let out a breath, Juyeonmi’s annoying voice flowed into his ears again.

“Tell me about Junseo. What do you do with him?”

“What’s your relationship with Junseo? What are you to him that you’re doing this?”

“I’m the one asking the questions, so answer me directly.”

“You know too. We’re just seonbae-hoobae. We occasionally talk about alcohol, girls, or dirty stuff. Guys’ relationships are all the same, what are you asking?”

“Why are you dodging the question? We know that you confessed to the prostitute he keeps at his house and got rejected. Or are you hiding it because you’re ashamed? I guess I would be too. How much would your pride be hurt if you got rejected by a bitch who spreads her legs for anyone?”

He had just resolved to watch his mouth, but the other person immediately crossed the line.

“Shut your agari. Who are you to call his noona a prostitute? Are you crazy? It’s already fucked up that you’re digging into other people’s relationships, but a prostitute?”

That incident wasn’t a good memory for Yudong either. He can’t say he has a good relationship with Haeun. But to call his acquaintance a prostitute, and by a woman he’s meeting for the first time, of course he’s angry.

“You speak well. Say it like that.”

    “This jot-gateun?!”

“Uh-huh. You wouldn’t hit me, would you? Everyone’s watching.”

The jot-gateum rose to his throat, but he couldn’t take his eyes off the bag. She probably never intended to hide it from the start, and now she’s openly messing with him.

    “Where did you hear that?!”

“We used to know a lot of information like this. But recently, we haven’t had anywhere to get information. Things have gotten annoying, but I don’t need to explain it to you, so can I shorten the story?”

“I don’t know what’s going on… What do you mean, shorten the story…? Wait, shibal-lyeona. Speak plainly. How the fuck are you trying to screw me over that you’re treating me like this?”

    “You should watch your mouth.”

“Why?! Why? Why? Shibal, why should I watch my words to a crazy center director who brings up the fact that I got rejected and calls someone a prostitute?! Fuck off, please!”

    “Oh, is that so.”

Before he knew it, the main point came out.

“Should I just tell you plainly? You had fun in a dangerous place last time, right? It looks like you’re still contacting them recently? You’re doing that as a student… Aren’t you ashamed to face your family…?”

    “Ha…”

As expected, that’s what it was. He wasn’t too surprised because he had a feeling he would be caught by the tail for this, but the fact that he had a weakness didn’t disappear.

“Who are the people behind me? Aren’t they Junseo’s subordinates? Why are those bastards keeping their agari shut?”

“We’ve already bought them off. If we get caught, someone else will come soon, so it’s meaningless. But we were able to seize the opportunity to meet you, so let’s just say that’s enough.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, you ajumma! This is fucking annoying!”

He was wondering why the guys behind him weren’t moving, and his eyes widened when he heard that they had been bought off. On top of that, the fact that he went to that bar was found out by the women’s rights center director or whatever she is. Just that alone is a stressful situation, and the fox-like lyeon in front of him doesn’t even want to explain properly and is just trying to say what she wants. It was a really unpleasant situation.

“I just have one request. Can you shut up and listen to my request? I wanted to emphasize that you don’t have a choice anyway, and while I was at it, I scratched your personality a bit. Your angry face looks more idiotic than I thought.”

    “Shibal!”

His shoulders are grabbed as he tries to jump up again, and he’s forced to sit at the table. When he jumped up high, the men in the back also tried to stand up, so he realized again that he couldn’t escape.

“We’re looking for a kid right now? I think they might be at or near Junseo’s house, but it’s too much for us to find them, and I want to send a text with your phone to see how they react. Or you can call them directly, what do you think?”

“What? Did Junseo kidnap a kid or something?”

    “Something like that.”

“I don’t know, shibal. Why would I find them for you? I have no intention of cooperating with you guys, so don’t be a pain in the ass and get lost right now.”

“Then can you give us your phone at least? We know your relationship with Junseo well. If we send a text from your phone and bring up your dongsaeng, I think we’ll get an answer right away.”

“Jiral, I’m not going to tell you! And I don’t have a phone! I didn’t bring it!”

“I saw it ringing a while ago, and you’re lying again. That’s why I don’t want to talk to a hannam saekki who only has lust in their head.”

“What is this gae jot-gateun lyeon babbling about…?!”

“That fucking jot, jot, jot. Is that the only swear word you know? Then should we do whatever the fuck we want too? We’ll forcibly take your phone with the guys in the back and report you as a sexual harasser.”

‘I don’t know what’s going on, but it sounds like they’ll let me go if I give them my phone…’

    I don’t want to.

I don’t want to, even if I die.

What does this shibal-lyeon think I am?!

“Phone? Are you talking about this?!”

“Oh my, it looks like you’re going to give me your phone even though you’re pissed? Good thinking. If you apologize for swearing, I won’t go any further…”

    Juyeonmi smiles brightly.

But that fox-like smile was only for a brief moment.

    “Fuck off!”

    ──Kkwajik!

    “Ha.”

Yudong, not being the type to back down to someone who picks a fight with him, threw his phone down flamboyantly and stomped on it magnificently. It was an act that could have been difficult since he threw it under the table and stomped on it, but whether it was because of the good angle he stomped on it or the power of his anger, it broke into three pieces perfectly, looking like it was impossible to recover.

“What are you doing, grab him.”

    Kwang!

    “Euheuk?!”

The men sitting in the back slammed Yudong’s head on the table and held him down. Juyeonmi’s followers belatedly stuck their heads under the table to find the remains of the phone, but they didn’t stop moving their feet while saying kwak kwak kwak, so it was already powder.

    “Idiot, serves you right.”

    Yudong chuckled at that.

    However.

“Oh really, you’re being annoying. How do you even live in this world if you’re this stupid? I’m really curious what’s in your head.”

    “Ssip…”

Even though the phone, which was the goal, was broken, she didn’t seem that interested and didn’t show any surprise.

“You didn’t think the phone was our only goal, did you? The phone story was just a test, after all?”

“So what are you going to do? Drag me away if you’re so upset.”

“Yes, that’s what we were planning to do from the start. It would have been nice if it ended with words, but you gave us a chance for nothing.”

“Don’t talk about chances, you lyeon with a face like you have a fire on your feet.”

“I wonder how long you’ll be able to maintain that face?”

    “Euk, kkeuk, keugeuk…”

A commotion breaks out in the store, but Juyeonmi doesn’t care. If she can’t get the phone, she has other ways. Whether she intended to do this from the start, Yudong is strangled by the men and faints. While the men are dragging him into the car, a part-time worker belatedly runs over.

“Customer?! What’s wrong! What’s going on?!”

‘I was in such a hurry that I didn’t think this far, but thankfully, it’s really nice that I can somehow manage with just one business card.’

    The fox doesn’t panic.

She made a show of 「hurriedly taking out a business card」 while making an urgent voice.

“That person is a sex offender! Please take this business card! I’ll come back with the police later, so please keep the CCTV footage?!”

    “Yes? Uh…?!”

The women’s rights center written on the business card. Just that one line gives credibility to the lie. Even though there’s no connection at all.

“Did it happen inside the store?!”

“No, we caught him committing it outside and were interrogating him, but he went wild, so we’re taking him away now! The customers might be surprised, so please don’t make a big deal out of it!”

    “Yes, yessir!”

“I’ll contact the owner later, so can you give me your phone number?”

    “J-just a moment!”

The two awkwardly take out their phones and type in their numbers. The part-time workers seem to really believe that such a thing happened. In the end, only Kim Yudong became pitiful, but they wouldn’t know that, and they ended up seeing them off without any problems.
