Preparing for the Second Raid

The moment Hwarang-nim reached max level and acquired a 4th rank job, I sent messages to the users we had already coordinated with.

The entrance to the level 45 dungeon was near the Drake hunting grounds, so we didn’t have to go far.

Near the entrance of the massive cave, the bones of giant Drakes were scattered.

The level 45 dungeon [Tomb of the Dragon] was a dungeon we had to go through before going on a raid.

After waiting for a while with Hwarang-nim, the users who had promised to go to the dungeon together arrived.

Helena was the first to arrive.

Wearing a luxurious robe with gold embroidery on a red background, it seemed she had chosen [Elemental Master] as her advanced job.

Unlike lower-tier jobs that only allow you to choose one attribute, the Elemental Master, befitting its name, was a job that freely utilized the four basic elements.

The second to arrive was Iyap.

The job leader of the rogues within the raid party, and now the person I trusted the most after Hwarang-nim and Helena.

Seeing the black aura swirling around his body, it seemed he had chosen [Night Walker] as his advanced job.

The Night Walker, which supplemented the Assassin’s lacking survivability and had skills that further enhanced single-target damage, was a pretty good choice.

The last to arrive was Chloe.

The job leader of the priests within the raid party, she had chosen [Cleric] as her advanced job.

Regardless of the god she served, it was a job that drastically increased healing and used various shields for party members.

“Yeon-nim, are you going to tank?”

“Yeah, it’s not a raid, so I can hold out if I equip a shield.”

The Paladin, which I chose at 2nd rank, was the only tank-related job I had, but I didn’t have to worry much about normal dungeons.

Even though I was holding a shield, my current job was Berserker, a ridiculously OP character, so the boss would definitely melt before it could even show a few patterns.

With that, we formed a party of five and entered [Tomb of the Dragon].

The entrance of the cave, covered in darkness, showed a messy sight with the bones of people and Drakes scattered here and there.

The sensation of the bones crumbling under my feet was excessively realistic.

    “Ew…”

I took out my sword and shield and poured Taechuk into my mouth.

As a result of using the gold I had desperately farmed during the event period to buy Taechuk, I had become the person with the most Taechuk in Deron.

“But, Yeon-nim. Do you know the way around here?”

“Yeah, I came in alone when I had time and figured out the path.”

I answered Chloe’s question casually and walked forward.

In fact, I hadn’t looked into it, but no one could know that.

If I say so, then it is so.

“What are the boss patterns like?”

“I couldn’t last long enough alone to see many patterns.”

As we continued our light conversation, giant Drakes revealed themselves in front of us.

Subspecies that failed to become dragons. They had larger bodies than the ones you could encounter in the field.

I lightly ran forward and swung my sword. A pillar of sunlight soared from the holy sword wrapped in red bloodlust, shaving off the Drakes’ scales.

I was in charge of the tank position, but I was by no means weak.

Rather, the Drakes’ health dropped by about 10% with just one normal attack.

At this rate, I could easily gain aggro without using Shout.

    “Yeon-nim! You’re too fast!”

I heard Chloe’s voice from behind, but I didn’t stop.

It would have been dangerous if I were a normal tank job, but I wasn’t.

After gaining the aggro of all the monsters in the passage, I jumped into the sky.

Thanks to my exceptionally high jumping power, my head almost touched the ceiling of the cave, but thanks to my small height, it only grazed it slightly.

    [Leap Strike]

This time, I didn’t jump into the monsters.

My small body instantly jumped over the monsters and landed behind them, near my party members.

    Kung!

I immediately raised my shield and slowly rotated the wrist holding my sword.

Since Hwarang-nim and Iyap were jobs specialized in single-target damage, I couldn’t expect much from them when doing mob hunting like this.

In this situation, Helena was the only one I could trust.

The moment about 40 Drakes approached, I activated my skill.

I swung the sword in my hand greatly and slammed it down on the ground, causing a wide shockwave to erupt and sending the Drakes’ bodies flying into the air.

    [Rampage]

The system’s correction followed, swinging the sword in the air and scattering red blood, unleashing five sword strikes.

The Drakes’ health noticeably decreased, but I couldn’t kill them in one go.

At that moment, Helena’s robe began to flutter, and a giant meteor fell from the cave ceiling.

    Kwang!

The moment a fiery explosion occurred, the Drakes that were half-floating in the air were swept away in an instant.

    “Mages are strong, huh.”

    “Berserkers are stronger.”

“Mages are the best, after all.”

    “I said Berserkers are stronger.”

I nodded at Helena’s words and fell into thought.

Once the leveling of this character is roughly finished, I have to start raising my alt character, [Princess Yeoni], soon.

I put Elemental Master on the list of job candidates.

The [Tomb of the Dragon] dungeon wasn’t very complicated.

If you followed the path, you would encounter four named Drakes, each a color-coded named mob in charge of one of the four elements.

Hwarang-nim and Iyap showed tremendous damage output in the named battles.

Iyap’s appearance as he moved behind and rapidly stabbed the Drake’s back was truly eerie.

Hwarang-nim was just shooting from afar, so I couldn’t see his appearance.

However, the DPS I confirmed in the named battles showed a higher number than Iyap’s.

We defeated the four named mobs, exchanged the dropped equipment, and moved forward.

The final boss of this map wasn’t a Drake, but a Dragon.

The guy who was coiled up in the giant cavity burst into red light the moment we approached and rose from his spot.

[Foolish humans have come all the way here!]

If you proceeded with the sub-quests, you could learn the story about this dungeon, but all I wanted was the items I could get here.

    “Let’s go right away.”

The boss’s lines continued, but I didn’t pay attention and kicked off the ground and charged forward.

My body, jumping high, fell above the boss’s head and slammed my sword down.

    Kwang!

The Dragon, hit on the head, staggered greatly, but soon shook its head and shook me off.

I fell down and continued to swing my sword.

    Kaga gagak!

The rapidly swung sword scraped away at the Dragon’s scales, and ranged attacks began from afar.

Pure white flashes flew towards the Dragon’s head.

    Tang!

It’s uncomfortable to tank a guy with such a huge body.

I frowned and turned the Dragon’s direction backwards.

The moment the guy who was looking at the party members showed his back, Iyap, who appeared on the black mist, swung his daggers and tore off the Dragon’s wings.

Immediately after that, Helena, who had been continuing a long casting, raised her staff high and swung it as it was.

Then, a giant magic circle floated in the sky, and hundreds of ice picks poured out from within.

    Kwadeudeudeuk!

The magic that slammed onto the Dragon’s body caused its huge body to stagger.

The boss’s health is rapidly decreasing. It was faster than expected.

I immediately started running on the Dragon’s body.

It was an impossible movement when playing with a keyboard and mouse, but it was possible here.

I ran and swung my sword to peel off the scales.

Hwarang-nim’s bullet shower poured into the spot where the scales were peeled off.

The boss [Elastica] had a breath-shooting pattern befitting the Dragon race.

It was a pattern that appeared when its health reached 30%, and it poured out a breath that dealt tremendous damage in the direction it was looking.

    “Breath is coming!”

The guy started shaking his head greatly and began to inhale deeply.

The moment the front of his chest began to swell greatly, Iyap, who was close by, disappeared, leaving only black mist.

There were large rock objects prepared in various places in the boss room to avoid the breath.

    But I didn’t avoid it.

Rather, I jumped on top of the Dragon’s head and started swinging my sword.

    Kang! Kang! Kang!

The crimson sword strikes continued, and the scales that had grown on his neck began to peel off.

At that moment, the guy who was shaking his body opened his mouth wide and began to spew out a huge flame.

    Hwareureureuk!

    Hot heat spread widely.

I kept swinging my sword in that state.

The moment the holy sword that had dug into the peeled scales pierced the Dragon’s neck, I twisted the sword and raised the direction of the breath into the sky.

    “Now! Deal damage!”

The boss’s health was not much left.

The moment my shout burst out, a huge fireball flew and slammed onto the Dragon’s defenseless body.

    Kwang!

    That was the finishing blow.

The giant Dragon lost the light in its bright red eyes and slowly began to fall.

The hot breath flowing from its mouth also gradually dissipated.

    Kung!

The moment the giant Dragon’s body lay on the ground, the dropped items appeared before my eyes.

    Level Restriction 45

A staff made of Dragon scales.

Two weapons dropped from the first run.

    I was lucky.

The Dragon Blood Mantle was a guy whose stats were randomly assigned when it dropped.

In other words, even if a Dragon Blood Mantle with the same name appears next time, the additional stats may be Agility or Intelligence instead of Strength.

    Helena took the Dragon Staff.

The Dragon Blood Mantle and Dragon Claymore came into my inventory.

I immediately put on the mantle and equipped the new weapon.

The moment the giant greatsword came into both hands, a heavy weight was conveyed.

The long, jet-black blade and the dragon head decoration, which was opening its mouth as if to swallow the sword, were shining in gold.

    Buung-!

When I gave it a lot of strength and swung the weapon, I felt like my body was being pulled slightly, unlike before.

    Still, I was satisfied.

“Isn’t that bigger than your height…?”

“It gets smaller if you stick it on your back.”

I answered Hwarang-nim’s words and stuck the giant sword into the scabbard on my back.

Then, the giant sword gradually shrunk and became the perfect size for my body.

    I was a little sad.
