New Character

Two weeks since WFK ended and I started Brown Dust.

In other words, it’s been two weeks since I’ve been able to use my prosthetic arms and legs even a little bit.

Maybe because the path was already paved, my proficiency in handling the prosthetic arms and legs has increased rapidly over the past two weeks.

Now I can walk around my hospital room as I please, and I’ve grown to the point where I can eat meals by myself.

In fact, I can now live in the hospital room without anyone’s help.

The problem is that I can’t just use the prosthetic arms and legs recklessly.

If they were just basic prosthetic arms and legs, there wouldn’t be any problem, but the prosthetic arms and legs I’m currently using aren’t just simple ones. They read brainwaves from my brain through a connector on my neck and transmit them to the prosthetic arms and legs to make them move.

This consumes a significant amount of battery power from both the prosthetic arms and legs and the connector, so even with modern technology, they can’t be used for long periods of time.

The more I move, the faster the battery drains, they say.

On top of that, if there are signal interference factors, it can be interrupted in the middle, so it seems that its use is quite limited.

But even with those limitations, it creates a miracle like giving me arms and legs when I have none, so many amputees want it more than you’d think.

It’s just that the astronomical price is the biggest drawback, they say.

    ,Arang-a~”

    ,Unnie’s here?”

    ,Yeah. How’s your body?”

    ,Very healthy!”

Three years as Arang’s body. Half a year since opening my eyes as Arang.

Walking in reality is something that happened so long ago that I was slowly walking around the hospital room to get used to it little by little when Anna came in.

I can do it alone because I have prosthetic arms and legs, but it feels good to have her helping me from the side even when I don’t need it, so I rely on her day by day.

Of course, I’m not the only one who thinks that way.

Once I got somewhat used to the prosthetic arms and legs, I got up before Anna came and washed my face alone with the prosthetic arms and legs, and Anna was shocked and saddened that I had escaped from her embrace.

So I keep getting help from Anna, Pinku Berry, and the doctor every day.

Today, as usual, I ate breakfast, spent time getting various tests and consultations, briefly logged into Leore, and came out.

[Did you see the PV? Seriously, it’s giving me goosebumps?]

[ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Are you kidding me? Is Ambassador-nim’s wish coming true right away?]

[What’s funny is that it’s also super cool ㅋㅋㅋ]

I was doing Brown Dust when I saw an interesting chat in the guild talk.

-What do you mean my wish came true?-

[Ambassador-nim, the new character PV is up on Brown Dust RyuTube right now. Go go quickly]

[The character Ambassador-nim wanted is here ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ]

    ,Huh?”

At the guild members’ words, I went to Brown Dust RyuTube and clicked on the PV video that had been released less than an hour ago.

,Wow… what is this? Why is it so cool?”

This new character, as the guild members said, was a character without arms. A character without both arms.

She had both legs, but her arms were just shoulders like mine, a proper female character.

Instead of arms, she had prosthetic arms.

The prosthetic arms, with a sleek design and coolness, each held a large greatsword.

What’s even more interesting is that the prosthetic arms aren’t attached to the character’s arms, but floating.

The PV showed combat motions, and the prosthetic arms moved freely like summons, sweeping away monsters with two greatswords, and the romance was no joke.

A physical melee dealer, an armless prosthetic arm character.

    I liked it so much.

    -I like this so much?-

[ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It’s just so well made. It’s a character that appeared out of nowhere, but the design is so good.]

[I know, right? I’m so curious about the story too. Why does she have no arms, why did she join, I want it to come out soon.]

[But for Ambassador-nim to get an armless character as soon as she arrives ㅋㅋㅋ What a coincidence.]

-I know, right ㅋㅋㅋ Come out quickly, full constellation and full refinement again this time.-

[Wow, I can’t help but admire Ambassador-nim’s wealth.]

[For real ㅋㅋㅋ Honestly, just having the character is enough for the game.]

[Doesn’t it usually cost about 200 per character to fully max them out?]

[That’s right. But Ambassador-nim also fully maxes out one-pick characters… didn’t she spend about 2,000?]

[Ambassador-nim has been playing for a month, so 2,000 in a month? Wow, that’s brutal.]

-You’re all exaggerating. There are a few people here who fully max out characters too.-

[ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ We’re tightening our belts to do it.]

[The release date is next week, so I need to get a part-time job.]

I understand why all the guild members like it.

She has a neat and charismatic face like a knight, and a design for female armor that looks solid.

But she has no arms and has huge greatswords on her floating prosthetic arms.

    To be honest…

She looked like an upgrade to the knight character I’m currently using, who is a permanent character.

I’ve been using her as a tank role while playing Brown Dust, but… if this continues, I’ll probably replace her when the prosthetic arm character comes out.

,Ugh. Why can Brown Dust only bring out 4 characters…! Of course, if characters keep coming out and they’re all out, it’ll get complicated…!’

[Ah, Ambassador-nim, where do you roughly live?]

    -Um? Why suddenly?-

[It’s not that, we have regular meetups every quarter, and we’re thinking of doing it this quarter too. It’s okay if you don’t want to tell us if you’re uncomfortable.]

-Oh, meetups are good. I live near Seoul Asan Hospital.-

    [Wow, you live in Seoul]

[Wow, we’ve finally found out the source of her immense wealth.]

[Saying Seoul Asan Hospital specifically… wow, her job is too obvious.]

[It makes sense that she can fully max out characters ㅋㅋㅋㅋ]

    [ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ]

[It’s too expensive to meet in Seoul, so we always meet in Namyangju. The exact details haven’t been decided yet, so we’ll announce it again later.]

[We need to grill a lot of meat again this time.]

[I’m bringing the acrylic boards I couldn’t sell at the last Comiket]

[Yeah, good. Let’s put them up as prizes and play games ㄱㄱ]

It seems that the guild is old and the guild members are very close, because when the meetup story came up, everyone started talking about the last meetup, and the chat became active again because everyone had a good time.

Come to think of it, this is the first time I’ve been invited to a meetup? I was always the one who invited people in Leore.

Looking at the chat, it seems like it will be a while before the meetup, so I should just ignore it.

    Is this really coming out?

I’m going for full constellation and full refinement again this time.

    [Comments]

    -ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Crazy

-A character with no arms is coming out as a pickup in a subculture game? ㅋㅋㅋ

-Honestly, looking at Brown Dust’s current skills, I think they’ll be able to create a really attractive amputated character

ㄴFor real ㅋㅋㅋㅋ And an amputated character? Might be good?

-I don’t understand people who like amputated stuff

ㄴWatch ASAVAGI’s classic masterpiece, then you’ll like amputated stuff

    ㄴDon’t ever watch it, that author is famous for drawing a lot of gore;;

I won’t say who, but I don’t understand people who like amputated stuff

    What’s so good about it? I just squint when I see it;;;

I admit that this Novel is cool, but having all limbs missing is too much

    [Comments]

-People who like amputated stuff are just a little mentally…

    -Please respect preferences

-Seriously, Novel’s design is really good this time. It’s amazing that a character with no arms is this attractive.

ㄴIt’s very well done ㅋㅋㅋ Did they put a lot of effort into the PV too?

ㄴI admit this Novel is good ㅋㅋㅋ

    [Reason for Liking Amputation]

    -Author-

    ㅇㅇ

In the popular post below, you asked why people like amputated stuff?

First of all, it’s hot that the person can’t do anything alone and has to rely solely on someone, and the sense of betrayal that a person is reduced to a mere object is hot as hell.

And we know how to distinguish between reality and fiction. We just like it as a creation.

Amputation is just the same as loli, rose, yuri, and other preferences.

    [Comments]

    -I agree.

-Wow… you guys are crazy ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-If you look at the works of authors who draw amputated stuff well, it’s pure love itself

ㄴI agree with amputated pure love.
