Hell – 5
by Shini
Thump-thump. Margarita desperately suppressed her heart, which felt like it was about to burst. Even though quite some time had passed since she lay down on the bed, she simply couldn’t fall asleep.
‘Just what are those two…?’
The reason Margarita was like this was entirely because of the two people who had suddenly appeared in Hell.
The woman who introduced herself as Kaikilia was the Emperor of the Aeternum Empire, and the man who introduced himself as Delta was a knight assisting the Emperor-those two.
They clearly stated they were in a lord-vassal relationship, yet they didn’t look like it at all. What kind of knight in the world would treat their Emperor like that?
Even though he consistently used honorifics and polite language, the man’s attitude was far from the etiquette a knight should show to an Emperor.
Although Margarita was from the Holy Nation, she knew quite a bit about the etiquette of the Empire. She also knew that if there were a knight behaving like that, there would be more than enough reason to immediately chop off their head.
The strange things didn’t end there. Right after Margarita pulled out the demon’s eye, the two were practically embracing each other. No, it would be more accurate to say they were half-embracing.
The knight had his hand on the Emperor’s side, slowly caressing her waist, and the Emperor was letting out lewd moans, accepting his touch.
No one in this world would allow such actions unless there were special feelings involved.
‘But…’
The man naturally caressed her side, and the woman also naturally accepted his touch, letting out moans as if forcibly suppressing pleasure. To anyone looking, it was far from a normal relationship.
It was even more so when considering the difference in their combat power.
Delta was also a quite excellent knight, both objectively and subjectively, but he was no match for Kaikilia, who had single-handedly cut down hundreds of demons without even exerting much effort.
If she wanted to, she could have subdued the man’s hand and meted out appropriate punishment at any time. Yet, the fact that she was being touched without any resistance meant….
‘Tacit permission.’
Because he had bowed his head deeply, it was an angle Delta couldn’t see, but Margarita, standing at a right angle to the two of them, saw it clearly.
The Emperor’s expression, which was on the verge of melting from pleasure.
She makes such an expression just from having her side touched a little? A woman’s body isn’t that easily swayed. Therefore, it was obvious that the two knew each other’s bodies very well.
However, in response to Margarita’s question, they replied that they were simply in a relationship of Emperor and knight. It had to be a 100% lie.
‘They must be wary of that secret relationship spreading to the outside world.’
It was more than understandable. After all, Margarita and those two had met less than a day ago. It would have been stranger to reveal such a level of secret in such a short time.
Margarita peeked her eyes out from behind the curtain. Delta was leaning back in a chair near the window, fiddling with his sword, and Kaikilia had gone outside and still hadn’t returned.
Just as she was wondering what on earth she was doing that she still hadn’t returned.
ㅡHmph…
‘Huh?’
Margarita’s ears caught a small moaning sound. Margarita froze in the position of peeking out with only her eyes. She wanted to believe she had misheard.
ㅡHnn, ngh…
‘…Crazy.’
She hadn’t misheard. An utterly lewd moan, enough to excite even a woman, was faintly seeping through the curtains from outside.
Because several layers of curtains had been drawn to block the bright red light, the sound itself was very faint, but her already sensitive ears caught the sound without missing it.
It wasn’t very difficult to guess who the owner of that moan was.
‘…Outside? No, even if they couldn’t do it inside because of me. Really outside? Just how often did they do it before coming here?’
Margarita couldn’t help but be inwardly astonished.
Even if they had slaughtered all the nearby demons so there were no eyes to see, how could they do such a bold thing out in the open? Were they the type to get pleasure from exposure?
Margarita, who had barely recovered from the shock, subtly posed a question to Delta, who was still calmly fiddling with his weapon.
“…Hey. Don’t you hear any strange sounds from outside?”
Of course, she couldn’t openly state that his lover was outside soothing her aroused body, so she didn’t forget to phrase it as carefully as possible.
“I don’t hear anything?”
Delta, who had briefly looked beyond the curtain, replied nonchalantly. Margarita was astonished once again.
‘Is doing that outside not even considered strange?’
A knight of that caliber would surely have extremely sensitive senses.
It was a moan loud enough for even Margarita, who had rusted over hundreds of years, to hear, so it was absurd that this man, who possessed far superior skills than her, couldn’t hear it.
“No, don’t do that, listen more carefully. You really don’t hear it?”
“…I really don’t hear anything, I told you?”
In response to Margarita’s urgent repeated question, Delta closed his eyes and concentrated for a long time, then opened his eyes and shook his head.
It was an expression that seemed to say, ‘Why on earth is this person acting like this?’ There was no doubt. He didn’t even think the sound coming from outside was strange.
Or, he was deliberately pretending not to hear his lover’s actions of comforting herself.
Margarita wanted to believe it was the latter somehow. Because if it were the former, it would mean they were an unimaginably perverted couple.
“I-I’m sorry. I guess I misheard because I got too excited thinking I could get out of here.”
“No, it’s alright. That can happen. I completely understand.”
Margarita, who had hesitated for a moment, closed her eyes tightly and added her last words.
“Um… you know. If you go out and head to the cliff on the left, there’s a pretty big crevice, right? I know because I lived there before building this house; it’s quite spacious and cozy. There’s even space to lie down. If you go a little deeper, sounds won’t leak outside either.”
“I don’t know why you’re telling me that, but I understand for now.”
Margarita, seeing Delta nod with a reluctant expression, admired her own thoughtfulness to herself and lay back down on the bed.
Of course, even lying down, sleep wouldn’t come. There was no way she could sleep with such lewd moans continuously coming from outside.
‘…I told them, so why aren’t they leaving?’
Even though quite some time had passed and no sounds of movement were heard, Margarita eventually couldn’t stand it anymore and peeked her face out from behind the curtain again.
The moans continued to be heard, but Delta was not only stubbornly staying still in his chair, but now he even had his eyes closed. He was clearly trying to sleep.
To neglect his lover even after hearing those agonizing sounds from her, it was hard to understand.
Just as Margarita’s doubts grew, the door opened with a creaking sound. Margarita quickly lay down on the bed and pretended to be asleep. She wouldn’t be seen anyway, thanks to the several layers of curtains.
A faint peach scent also wafted in, but there was no time to question the peach scent. This was because a much clearer moaning sound began to be heard than before.
‘…Surely not here?’
Fortunately, this sound was short. Margarita let out a sigh of relief that her guess was wrong.
Soon after, it became quiet outside. Margarita, who had been lying quietly on the bed, couldn’t resist her curiosity and peeked her eyes out to observe the outside.
And she was so surprised that she almost made a sound.
Kaikilia was straddling Delta’s body, with her legs spread to either side. The Emperor, straddling her lover’s thighs, was staring intently at his peacefully sleeping face.
She had no idea what she might be thinking while staring at that peaceful face.
“What are you doing on top of me?”
A slightly low, deep voice was heard. With the weight of one woman on his thighs, it was a natural progression for him to open his eyes.
As soon as Delta’s voice was heard, Margarita was startled and unconsciously lay back down on the bed. Even though it was the other side that was caught, her heart was pounding.
‘Surely… they wouldn’t do it here, would they?’
Margarita seriously considered, if only for a moment, what she should do if that ‘surely not’ were to happen. Should she pretend not to hear, or should she give them a hint to go outside?
After pondering such thoughts for a long time, she couldn’t even endure 30 seconds and poked her head out from behind the curtain again. She simply couldn’t suppress her curiosity.
It was partly because she had been trapped here for such a long time that she had gone 360 degrees crazy and then returned almost to her senses, and partly because Margarita was human, after all.
To tell her not to pay attention when such things were happening right before her eyes was practically impossible.
“This is…”
The next to speak was Kaikilia. Kaikilia seemed to ponder something for a long time, then answered the question in a voice that was still utterly solemn.
“…Yes, it’s a punishment.”
“Did you say punishment?”
“That’s right. How dare a mere vassal disrespect the Emperor’s sacred body so arbitrarily? I shall personally punish this disloyal knight.”
“I never imagined I’d be punished in this manner. What kind of punishment are you trying to inflict?”
“You’ll see if you wait.”
Margarita unconsciously poked her head out further. The atmosphere was strange. What if they really did move on to the next stage like that-
“I don’t know what Your Majesty is thinking, but…”
Black eyes turned towards Margarita.
She had never imagined that he would look this way from here, so Margarita froze in place.
“Are you alright doing that where there are eyes watching?”
“…!”
At those words, golden eyes turned towards Margarita. They were eyes that had not lost their inherent golden hue, even in a world covered in faint red.
Hiccup. A hiccup sound was heard, though it was unclear who made it.
I was walking beside Kaikilia, who was striding along indifferently with her holy sword. Margarita was following a little distance behind, constantly observing the two of us.
After the atmosphere was shattered by my words, we departed for the location of the next item as soon as time vaguely passed and the sky regained its twilight glow.
Kaikilia’s expression was still indifferent, but seeing her cut down the group of demons we encountered along the way as if taking out her frustration, I could roughly guess what she was feeling.
‘Seriously, why did Floreta have to say something unnecessary…? No, she was provoked first, so it’s right to retaliate, but…’
The reason Kaikilia suddenly acted that way. It was clearly because of what Floreta had said.
While she said she was envious of her pure body, it was obvious what her true intentions were. She had practically teabagged her to her face, so it was impossible for her not to lose her temper.
Kaikilia, who had coveted me to the point of openly calling me ‘hers’, it wouldn’t be strange at all if she had done such a thing in a fit of pique after seeing the Pope’s actions.
Disrupting the atmosphere on purpose last night was also to give Kaikilia a little more time to think rationally.
“Um, we’re going to find ingredients now, right?”
Margarita, who had been hesitating in the distance, cautiously opened her mouth.
“That’s right. Why do you ask?”
“It’s nothing special, I was just wondering why we’re going this way. If we keep going in this direction, it’s a cliff, isn’t it?”
“Yes. It’s a cliff.”
“Then why…?”
I glanced at the location of the unactivated magic circle, which was on the cliff near the rocky mountain.
“Because it would take too long if we walked.”
