Chapter Index

    Lin Xiaomei.

A superpowered person who is the leader of the Justice Alliance.

The reason I remember her name is not because she was the leader of the Justice League, but because she was a woman with a rather interesting superpower: controlling plants.

The Justice League is such a great organization that I wonder if I will remember the name of its leader. Even looking at the current situation, it is almost like a pirate group.

What caught my attention was that even just one small weed could grow into a sturdy vine and tree in an instant.

Isn’t this exactly the kind of ability that elves have in fantasy?

If she used her superpowers well, it seemed like she could even turn a desert area into a jungle.

Or, you can grow a giant tree that is thousands of years old into a world tree.

‘Of course, considering that Blue Phantom couldn’t turn or stop the ship, it’s unlikely to be able to produce that much power, but it’s a possibility.’

I thought as I watched the vines writhing behind Lin Xiaomei.

‘It looks like he was able to withstand the shock of the sudden stop with his supernatural powers.’

It seemed like he wrapped that around his body like a wire and used it as a seat belt.

I knew he didn’t have any physical strengthening abilities, but seeing him standing there perfectly clear was certain.

‘But isn’t that exactly a tentacle ability?’

    Dozens of wriggling green vines.

It’s a superpower that seems like it would cause trouble if caught.

Lin Xiaomei looked at it with curious eyes and asked with heightened alertness.

“Why are you here? Did you stop the ship? I heard you were in Japan… ”

“How long has it been since I came back to Korea, and you still think I’m in Japan? And have I come to a place I can’t go? This is Korean territorial waters, after all.”

“… Are you planning on fighting here?”

“Well, if it’s necessary, then so be it.”

When he answered like that, Lin Xiaomei’s body froze with tension.

“Do you think you can handle us all by yourself?”

“Do you think I’ll understand if I say it in a martial arts style? I don’t like to see bloodshed unnecessarily, so I’m telling you to go back now. Take the chance when it’s given to you.”

First, I tried to explain it to her nicely with words, as Inspector Seo Min-jeong had asked.

In fact, when I stopped the cruise ship, I could have already sunk them all.

No matter how much modern technology is used on a ship, if you make the bottom of it like a rag, it will sink just like a modern cruise ship or a martial arts boat.

Rather, it would be much more difficult to stop a ship of this mass without sinking it.

‘But… if we just wiped them out, things would get a bit complicated. And if they were the kind of people who would listen to us obediently, we wouldn’t have just blindly sailed into Korea like this.’

Although the Justice League is a group that is dissatisfied with the Chinese government and the Chinese government also dislikes them, it is a bit difficult for me to kill them as I please.

If it were assassination, there would be nothing to worry about, but if we annihilate those who have already entered Korean waters, the Chinese government, which has turned a blind eye until now, will step in.

    That’s politics.

My job was to try to persuade them verbally, and if that didn’t work, to send them away by beating them up.

Extermination is likely to be a problem, but the few casualties in the process can be easily tolerated.

As superpowered people with rough personalities became villains and social problems, various terrorism and crimes were rampant in foreign countries.

China might also be happy that it ended with a few deaths, as it has nibbled at the problem.

“You’re almost in Korea, and you want me to back out? I can’t do that. We’ll talk to the higher-ups! Take me to the person who sent you here. It won’t hurt them if you listen to their story!”

‘What kind of gentlemen are those criminal bastards? Do they think they are diplomats or something?’

As expected, Lin Xiaomei ignored my polite request and shouted, “Manager, come out here!”

I guess he thought I was taking orders from someone.

Although they left the Blue Dragon Corps and formed the Justice Alliance, it seems that they still had the habit of following the government’s orders, and that they thought that I was in a similar position to them before.

But even when I was a member of the Hero Office, I could do whatever I wanted, so now that I’m a free man, there’s no way I’d have a superior.

Anyway, it turns out that we’re past the stage of being able to just talk things through nicely.

Honestly, I didn’t expect much either.

Even among ordinary thugs, there are many cases where they do not back down even when guns and swords are pointed at them because of their pride, but these people here are even people with supernatural powers.

Perhaps that pride is incomparable to that of a gangster.

The Incheon Port they were aiming for was right in front of them, but they didn’t want to turn the ship around because they were scared by a single male hero. If that happened, the Justice Alliance would surely fall apart, either in terms of reputation or internal conflict.

Sure enough, while I was talking to Lin Xiaomei, I saw the guys who had come to their senses slowly gathering around me.

Even country dogs, when they gather together, become full of energy and roam the neighborhood as if it were their own home.

As her subordinates gathered, Lin Xiaomei also gradually relaxed.

‘About 40 people, excluding the injured.’

There weren’t as many people injured to the point where they couldn’t move as I thought.

I grumbled, tensing myself up for battle.

“Why do Chinese people flock to Korea like a pack of dogs in the first place? They should just go and play local lords like they used to. They’re just making busy people come and go.”

“We came to help Korean heroes! I heard that Korea, like China, has a government that oppresses its heroes. If you join hands with us, that won’t happen again!”

As the number of pages filled up, Lin Xiaomei regained her confidence and said something that even she couldn’t believe.

That’s just an excuse, and if they start proper negotiations, they’ll probably offer money or men to take you to China or cooperate with you in Korea to work there.

“You dare to touch our Justice Alliance?”

“I guess we need to educate ourselves on who’s on top. Hehe… ”

“Is that Ignis? His body is really amazing… ”

The gathered Justice League thugs scanned my body with sinister eyes.

It seemed like he was eyeing male heroes like me, in case anyone thought I was a woman.

I scanned their faces roughly and laughed.

    Sigh-

“I don’t have any taste for going under ugly bitches. I don’t plan on having you as my subordinates. Unfortunately, you guys failed the interview.”

“Hey…! Hit them all! First, subdue them and then go to Korea! If we have Ignis in our hands, they won’t be able to move recklessly!”

Lin Xiaomei ordered her subordinates to attack.

    Waaa!!

No one, man or woman, felt good about being criticized for their looks.

The superpowered people belonging to the Justice League each displayed their abilities and attacked me.

However, I wonder if he can never give up his greed, because even by my standards, not to mention the standards of an ordinary superpowered person, I didn’t see any attacks that could threaten his life.

‘You have no idea how strong I am.’

If I had seen the video of the fight with Kang Da-kyung in Japan, I wouldn’t have been this relaxed.

Although they were superpowered beings from the vast land of China, they were no different from frogs in a well.

    First memory-

Spread your legs, lower your center of gravity, clench your fists and lower them to about waist level.

If you use the Emperor’s Sword, you can crush all the guys rushing at you with one move.

But I thought that if I did that, about half of them would die.

Because there are superpowered people with enhanced physical abilities mixed in here and there, it will be difficult to control your strength.

‘Then I guess I’ll have to hit it with my body.’

With that thought in mind, I flew away.

    bang!

In Shanghai, I almost caught up with Feng Liu on my bike. Maria helped me find the shortest route, and I eventually caught up with Feng Liu, although it was thanks to her endurance.

And it was all thanks to a new artifact I created: the Synergy Bangle.

Synergy Bangle is a tool that enhances the output of a vehicle as much as the power I have.

And that means the enhanced vehicle caught up with Feng Liu.

‘… I can do something similar myself.’

    Kwaaang!

    “Eeee!!”

“What, what?! Where did you go all of a sudden?!”

“Over there! It went over there!”

    “So where is that?!”

He crouched down as if he was almost falling head-on and dug into the gaps between his enemies.

Normally I don’t run like this because I don’t need to worry about air resistance, but now that the enemies are so densely packed together, this is the best way to move without colliding.

‘This is also my kind heart that takes into consideration all of you who are weak.’

If you run at this speed and collide head-on with someone who isn’t physically enhanced, they’ll just burst like a water balloon.

I gently tapped the enemies in my path with my open palm.

Compared to the supernatural powers raining down around him, it was a movement that could hardly be considered an attack, but it was enough.

    Phew!

    “… … !”

The pushed enemies spun around and flew diagonally.
