Chapter Index

    A peaceful morning.

As I go to work and sit down at my desk like any other day, I feel hot stares from all directions.

Amy, Shine, and Rain’s gazes held similar emotions.

I swallowed dry saliva at the goosebumps that rose up behind my back.

These days, we have to do exercise that is more difficult than a long-distance marathon three times a day, or at most once.

When I raised my hand and touched my cheek, it felt thinner than before.

It was clear that if I continued like this, there would be no more left in my body.

I jumped up from my seat.

This situation could not be endured, so special measures were needed.

Should I go to my grandfather’s house?

No, I couldn’t feel safe because it was my grandfather’s house.

Grandfather’s castle, with its vast space and dozens of rooms, was a great place to sneak in and get eaten without anyone knowing.

If I went there, I would definitely be locked in my room without ever seeing my grandfather’s face until I returned home.

I bit my lip and took out my phone.

In times like these, the only people I could ask for help were my close friends.

I immediately messaged Appleton asking if he could let me stay for a few days.

    “Jeff what are you doing?”

    “Oh… It’s nothing.”

As I was tapping away at my phone, Rain came over and stuck his head in.

I shook my head, pushing Rain’s head away.

Because Rain secretly reached out his hand and tried to caress my butt.

Rain seemed to have been feeling a bit more impatient lately, becoming a bit more daring.

The dragon takes the initiative and, using his small stature, tries to touch me out of Amy’s sight.

Rain stepped back as if he felt regretful.

    Rain didn’t look cute anymore.

That thing was just a beast.

    How much time has passed?

A reply to the message I sent to Appleton arrived.

When I heard the alarm go off, I was startled and took out my phone, and Rain and Shine’s gaze flew towards me.

I took a deep breath, turned my back to them so they couldn’t see me, and checked the message.

    The result was permission.

Appleton welcomed me and told me I could stay as long as I wanted.

I got up straight from my seat.

    “Where are you going?”

“Okay, I’ll go out for a bit.”

    “Shall we go together?”

    “Oh, no!”

I shook my head in horror at Shine’s actions of trying to follow me.

If Shine followed, it was certain that Appleton’s house would be full of them all day long.

Rain also wiggled his hips as if he wanted to follow me, but when I glared at him, he just sat there with a sullen expression.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

Anyway, it seemed like I wouldn’t be able to pack my bags.

I was planning on staying at Appleton’s house for a few days, but if I started packing, these two were sure to notice.

So, I decided to go out and buy the necessities and clothes I need outside.

He puts his wallet on the desk into his pocket and jumps down from his seat.

Before leaving the office, I glanced at CC and Lily.

The two girls were lying on the sofa, hugging each other, as if they had fallen asleep from exhaustion while drawing.

That sight is so cute, I can’t help but smile.

I should buy you a gift when I come back later.

    “Jeff, where are you going?”

    “Oh. Yes.”

    “Are you coming back soon?”

    “Um. Well.”

Before leaving the office, I paused for a moment to answer Amy’s question.

Amy tilted her head at my ambiguous answer and said.

“Do you think it’ll be late?”

    “It won’t be too late.”

I’m just going to stay for a few days.

So, it wasn’t exactly a wrong statement.

    Amy nodded at my words.

After checking the appearance, I immediately left the office.

Since I often went out alone, I didn’t think anyone would suspect me.

I ran out, holding back my laughter as I giggled.

After getting out with Mr. Schumaine’s help, I walked down the street.

Because it was impossible to drive with such a small body.

I headed to the department store first.

It was to buy daily necessities like clothes, underwear, and shoes for me to change into all at once.

Since I didn’t bring a bag this time, the first thing I bought was a bag.

I moved my short legs hard and passed through the long hallway until I reached the corner where the bags were gathered.

Since I didn’t need a small bag like a handbag, I went past it and went inside, where I was able to find the type of bag I wanted.

A place where bags made of various characters are displayed.

    It was right here.

Among them, I found a sturdy, cool, and cute dinosaur bag.

There was a cute little thing similar to the one Amy had bought for me, with its mouth wide open.

The guy in the transparent packaging looked at me as if he was telling me to buy it right away.

    I bought it right away.

Now that I had bought my bag, it was time to buy some clothes and underwear for me to wear.

    But this was the problem.

I bit my lip and started to hesitate in front of a corner.

An adult looking at my 20s.

But most of the clothes that fit me were children’s clothes.

    Yes, that’s right.

I was hesitating to go in front of the children’s clothing corner.

If I wanted to buy clothes that I could wear, I had to swallow my pride and go in there and buy clothes.

If you buy clothes that are designed for adults, they will definitely not fit and will flow down.

Finally, I closed my eyes tightly and entered the children’s clothing store.

After purchasing two sets of comfortable clothes and a set of pajamas, I head to the children’s underwear section.

This time, I bought a decent set of plain white underwear and stuffed it into my bag.

    Now everything is ready.

After packing everything I bought into my bag, my new dinosaur bag was full and stuffed.

After patting the dinosaur’s belly, which looked like it was going to burst, I left the department store and caught a taxi.

Just show the taxi driver the address Appleton sent you.

Now, all you have to do is wait for the taxi to arrive.

The taxi, having exited the street lined with shops, entered a residential complex.

After running for a while like that, a large mansion that was a little different from the other houses came into view.

The taxi stopped in front of him.

After finishing the calculation, I got out of the taxi and blankly stared at the mansion.

It was smaller than my grandfather’s house, but it was definitely a very spacious house.

The garden is large and you can see a pretty fountain.

I approached the large front door, fixed my bag, and reached out to the doorbell on the door.

    “Eeeet…”

But unfortunately, I was a little short and couldn’t reach it.

It was really just a little bit.

I bit my lip, jumped up from my spot, and rang the doorbell.

How long have I waited like that?

As I was thinking about calling Appleton because I didn’t hear an answer, I heard a familiar voice.

    [who are you?]

    It was Appleton’s voice.

I shouted into the microphone on the doorbell.

    “Appleton!!! It’s me!!!”

Maybe it’s because he’s short that he can’t hear.

Feeling a little worried, I shouted loudly.

Appleton laughed at my answer and opened the door for me.

[Come on. Just follow the road and you’ll be there.]

With a clanking sound, the front door of the mansion began to slowly open.

I squeezed in between them and ran.

As we approached the mansion across the large garden, the front door opened and Appleton appeared inside.

Appleton, dressed in light sportswear, smiled and waved as soon as he saw me.

    “Appleton!”

“Come on, Jeff. Aren’t Shine and Lane here with you?”

    “Oh, uh… a little…”

    “What happened?”

    “That, that…”

    It was difficult to speak.

Even though he’s my close friend Appleton, how could I tell him that Lane and Shine were picking on me so much that I ran away?

Appleton nodded at my awkward laugh and held out his hand.

So, holding Appleton’s hand, he goes into the mansion.

    ***

By the time Jeff headed to Appleton’s house, Shine was looking at her phone.

The message that popped up on her phone was informing her of Jeff’s card payment.

Shine asked Ferman to make all the bills paid on Jeff’s card fly to his phone.

Shine tilted her head as she looked at the list of items Jeff had purchased.

A bag, a few clothes, and a set of underwear.

It was ordinary content, nothing special.

I thought maybe she wanted to buy new clothes, but Shine’s intuition told me otherwise.

I rested my chin on the desk and tapped my phone.

I tried running an app that was supposed to track Jeff’s location, but it didn’t work because Jeff seemed to have turned that feature off.

At that moment, another message arrived on Shine’s phone.

    It’s a bill that says I took a taxi.

Shine immediately started tracing the taxi number written on the bill.

It wasn’t difficult to track the taxi’s location.

Just enter the number and wait for satellites to track the taxi’s location.

As we waited, the location where the taxi dropped Jeff off came to mind.

Shine immediately started importing the coordinates into a 3D map and examining them.

It was a residential complex with clean roads and many houses gathered together.

But the most striking thing about it was the mansion, which was larger than the others.

Shine stroked her chin as she looked at the mansion.

Are you saying Jeff came here for some business?

    Why on earth?

Shine began to look around at the information on the buildings around her.

All that was known was who owned it, but that was enough.

Finally, Shine confirmed who the owner of the large mansion was and stood up with a victorious smile.

    “It was Appleton’s house.”

    “Hey, Appleton?”

Rain, who had been sleeping next to Shine, woke up with a start.

Shine said as she wiped Rain’s mouth, which was dripping with saliva.

“I think Jeff went to the Appletons’ house to play.”

    “Oh, you left us out?”

    “Yeah.”

    “How could this happen…”

“Shall I go and scold you?”

    “Okay!”

Rain nodded at Shine’s words and jumped down from his seat.

I was thinking of punishing naughty Jeff.

I’m talking about a very dirty punishment.

Shine, who was looking at Rain with a sinister smile, said to Amy.

“Mom. Rain and I will go out too.”

    “You too?”

    “Going to Jeff.”

    “Um… Can you come quickly?”

    “Okay. I’ll be back soon.”

Amy sighed in relief at Shine’s words.

I was worried about Jeff going out to play alone, but I was relieved to hear that his older sister, Shine, was going.

With Rain and Shine out of the office, only Victor, Amy, and the two girls taking a nap remained.
