Chapter Index

    “How was it?”

I let out an awkward laugh at Lily’s question.

Although the mansion itself was nice, I couldn’t find what I was looking for.

There were things like refrigerators, but electronic devices like cell phones and computers were nowhere to be found.

Now there is only one place left.

    It was Kelly’s room.

    “It was fun.”

Lily clapped her hands in delight at my words.

What a cute girl who reacts so well.

I couldn’t believe that he was actually 50 years old.

I looked at Lily and let out a small smile.

“I had a lot of fun today too. It’s been a while since I’ve played with other people.”

    “Lily won’t leave this mansion?”

“Yes. My mother told me not to go out.”

I looked at Lily with pity as she sent me a sparkling gaze.

I’ve lived my entire life in this mansion without ever leaving.

If only I could, I would show Lily the outside world.

    “It’s almost meal time.”

Lily said, checking the time on the pocket watch she was carrying.

Oh my goodness, it’s not even a wristwatch, it’s a pocket watch.

I was dumbfounded at the sight of him using objects that looked like they belonged in a museum.

    “Eat…”

    I muttered blankly.

Can I really eat the food prepared here with peace of mind?

I followed Lily to the restaurant.

When we arrived at the restaurant, Kelly was already there and sitting down.

She looked at me, smiled slightly, and waved.

“Mom! Since we have guests today, I will make you a more delicious meal!”

Lily shouted loudly as she sat me down on the chair.

As I blinked and looked at Lily, she left the restaurant, thumping her chest as if telling me to trust her.

“It seems like you’ve become quite close with Lily.”

“Because Lily is a good girl…”

“You’re 50 years old and you call me a kid?”

    I frowned at Kelly’s words.

Lily being 50 years old was absolutely impossible.

A child so innocent and cute can’t be 50 years old.

“Be honest with me. Are you both lying about your ages?”

“No way. What good can you gain by lying about your age?”

    I sighed at Kelly’s words.

It seems that Lily’s age is really 50 years old.

“Isn’t it time to show your memories now?”

I shook my head at Kelly’s words.

I could never, ever show it.

Asking me to show you my memories was something only a sex offender would say.

    “Please send me home.”

“If you show me, I’ll send it to you.”

“Why do you want to see my memories?”

“Well, it seems like you’re connected to the incident of the past 7 years.”

“What if there is no connection?”

“Do you think I would believe that?”

I kept my mouth shut at Kelly’s words.

And so silence fell between Kelly and me.

How much time has passed like that?

Just as the snowball fight with Kelly was starting to get a little tedious, Lily arrived with a large cart bringing in some food.

    “Ta-da!”

Lily shouted loudly, placed a plate of food on her head, and began to move it to the table, slurping.

I looked at the sight and asked Kelly.

“Is Lily preparing all the food?”

“Yeah. Lily’s cooking is really delicious.”

At the sight of Lily, I got up from my seat and tried to help her.

But Lily shook her head with a determined expression and answered.

“Mr. Jeff, you are a guest, so please sit down.”

    “But…”

    “It’s okay!”

Lily said that and started moving faster.

I looked at the plates placed on the table.

Kelly’s words didn’t seem to be a lie, as all the food Lily prepared looked delicious.

I swallowed hard and grabbed the knife and fork.

Lily placed all the food on the table, pushed the cart to the corner, and sat down next to me.

Kelly looked at Lily, raising an eyebrow, as if she didn’t like that.

“Lily. Why are you sitting there?”

“I’m going to eat with Jeff Yang!”

    “I…?”

“Mom, you always eat together, right? Since I don’t know when Jeff will return, I’m eating with Jeff for now.”

    “Jeff must be really nice.”

“Yes! Of course! Jeff plays with me. I really enjoyed my time with Jeff.”

Kelly sighed at those words and nodded.

    That’s how the meal began.

I stared at the plate in front of me.

The unnamed fish was deliciously grilled and tempting me to eat it.

But I couldn’t touch it rashly.

“Jeff, are you feeling uneasy about anything?”

    “No…”

I shook my head at Lily’s question.

Because I couldn’t ask her in front of her shining face with anticipation whether she had put any medicine in it.

“Is it because of the fish bones? I’ll put them on for you!”

Before I could even answer, Lily took the plate and started spreading the fish.

    That too, very hard.

Using a knife, he cuts open the flesh of the fish and skillfully removes any bones inside.

Her knife skills were quite sharp, as if it was no lie that she had made all these dishes.

Perhaps, I have found the person who will continue the tradition of my tonkatsu swordsmanship?

I moved the knife in my hand lightly.

    “Ta-da!”

Lily smiled brightly, holding the plate out in front of me.

On the plate was a grilled fish, literally perfectly boned.

I absentmindedly moved my hand at the sight of the grilled fish with only the pure white flesh left.

Even though he did all this for me, I couldn’t not eat it.

I close my eyes tightly, pick at some meat with a fork, and put it in my mouth.

“What do you think? Does it suit your taste?”

I nodded blankly to Lily’s question.

The lemon flavor, along with a slightly salty taste, completely covered up the fishy smell of the fish, giving it a clean taste.

Lily let out a sigh of relief at my words and smiled.

After tasting the first bite, I put down my fork.

It was to prepare for any unforeseen circumstances.

But no matter how long I waited, I never lost consciousness.

You really didn’t put any medicine in it.

I feel sorry for doubting Lily.

    “Try this too!”

I ate all the food Lily pushed for me.

Lily seemed to enjoy just watching me eat, as she barely emptied her plate.

He just looked at me and smiled brightly.

    “I can’t eat any more…”

I touched my bloated belly and cried.

I ate so much that my stomach was bulging like a slob.

If Shine had seen it, she would have teased me, saying that I was having a baby.

“I had a good meal today too. Lily.”

“Oh. Mom. Are you going to stop eating?”

    “Yeah.”

Kelly left those words and jumped down from her chair.

Then he moved his short legs hard and headed towards the entrance of the restaurant.

As I was quietly watching the scene, Kelly turned and spoke to me.

“Jeff, if you ever change your mind, just come to my room and we’ll be able to go home.”

“I would never do that, you sex offender.”

Kelly furrowed her eyebrows at my words.

It seemed like he didn’t like being called a sex offender.

But, if you look at Kelly’s actions alone, there really was no such thing as a sex offender.

If someone kidnaps me, holds me captive, and then tries to see my precious things, what else could they be but a sex offender?

Kelly sighed and left the restaurant.

After the meal, it was Lily’s job to clean up.

She busily placed the empty plates into the cart again.

This time, I couldn’t just watch.

    “Oh. Jeff!”

I push away Lily’s hand that is trying to stop me and move the empty plate together.

It wasn’t that hard work, but I didn’t feel comfortable being treated to delicious food and doing nothing.

    “Thank you!”

As we put all the plates on the cart, Lily smiled bashfully and said to me,

    It’s really cute.

Enough to make me want to take it home.

Later, when Amy and Shine come to save me, I should tell Shine secretly.

I want to have a cat.

    “Jeff, your belly is full.”

    Lily said, patting my belly.

I flinched and stepped back at that ticklish touch.

Lily quickly apologized for my actions.

    “Oops. Sorry.”

    “Oh, no. It’s just a little ticklish…”

“Then, would it be okay if I touched it a little more?”

I just blinked blankly at Lily’s question.

    My ship? Why? Why?

Anyway, it wasn’t a problem, so I nodded.

Then Lily smiled happily and started stroking my stomach with both hands.

    “Hehehe…”

    “… Okay?”

    “Yes!”

    I couldn’t understand Lily’s reaction.

Even Rain and Shine didn’t do this, touching my belly and being happy.

Lily, who had been touching her belly, looked at me and slowly brought her head closer.

To be precise, I mean the ears.

Lily’s ears and soft cheeks touch her stomach.

“Ouch. I heard a gurgling sound!”

At Lily’s words, I pushed her away gently.

    Because I was quite embarrassed.

What on earth is this, listening to the sound of one’s stomach?

As her face felt hot and she touched her cheek, Lily got up and walked over to the cart.

I headed to the kitchen with Lily.

The cart rolled smoothly with a thud.

“Jeff. I wish Jeff wouldn’t show his memories. As long as possible.”

Lily spoke in a small voice as she washed the dishes.

I sat behind her and tilted my head at her.

    “Why?”

“That’s right. If Jeff shows his memories, I won’t go back.”

I laughed slightly at Lily’s answer.

Because I didn’t know you might be thinking that way.

“Oh. But is it still a secret from your mother?”

    “Yeah.”

Lily was enjoying washing the dishes, wiggling her butt and humming a tune.

I swallowed as I looked at Lily’s butt.

    It’s really cute.

    “Lily over there?”

    “Huh?”

“You don’t want to break up with me, do you?”

    “Yes, that’s right.”

“Then, are you not thinking of following me?”

    “Jeff Yang?”

At my question, Lily jumped down from the stool.

    I nodded and continued.

    “Later. When I get home.”

“Oh… I’d like to, but my mother won’t allow it.”

    “What if Kelly lets me?”

    “Then…”

Lily was about to answer my question without thinking, but suddenly her face turned red.

He shook his head, not knowing what to do with his bright red face.

    “Seo, no way… Jeff… It hasn’t even been a day since we met… It’s too fast…”

    I stared blankly at Lily.

Because I couldn’t understand what on earth he was thinking.
