Chapter Index

Awaken’s open recruitment for creators has ended. A total of 46 people were recruited. In order to make up 50 people, including myself, Maria, Sarah, and Seok-gi Jang, I intentionally included some ambiguous people.

The people added in this way were mainly people who had better synergy when combined with others than were fun when alone. Although it lacks its own weight class, it is a type that would be a shame if it were not there when doing something as a group.

After recruiting, I spoke to Maria.

“Maria, should we do something like MCN recruitment commemorative content?”

    -Good idea!

In fact, there was no need for Awaken to lead the content. The role of existing MCNs was mostly to connect advertisers and creators and collect commissions from them.

Still, in the case of MCNs that some creators set up themselves, they were operated with a crew-like mindset and planned large-scale content.

‘And Awaken is a bit of a unique case. ‘There are probably more creators who signed the contract expecting something other than advertising expenses.’

Then, meeting those expectations would be a good thing for both parties.

‘What kind of content is good?’ ‘

Since this is our first event, it would be best to have content that everyone can participate in.

At the same time, it would have been better to be able to show off Awaken’s support and technology. Otherwise, it would be no different from an ordinary large-scale merger.

For example, there might be things like drone filming or applying a Virtuber’s avatar. Among the people who signed this contract, 9 Virtubers were included. Perhaps their hearts are pounding in anticipation of the newly upgraded avatar.

As I was wondering what kind of content would be good, Maria offered her opinion.

    -I already have something ready!

    ‘You were preparing something? when’

-We have been preparing since we founded MCN!

As expected, Maria was the best in this part.

‘So what content have you prepared?’

    -That’s right… Real Minecraft!

    ‘reality… ‘MyCraft?’

I also know the game called MyCraft very well. I’ve tried it before. Basically, it was a sandbox-type game with extreme autonomy guaranteed, so it was a magical game where time melted away endlessly if you played with intention.

And at the same time, it was also a proven item as many Internet broadcasters were already carrying out large-scale mergers of marks.

It was usually like a set template to create and develop a village with a specific concept by transplanting other game systems into Mark.

A system that is perfect for organizing content to enjoy briefly for a certain period of time.

But the word ‘reality’ is added in front of it?

‘What does the alternate reality mark mean?’

-It literally means Minecraft in real life! Set up a separate place and enjoy playing as a group there!

‘It’s like some kind of MT. Instead the game is combined.’

After listening to Maria’s explanation, I roughly understood it. But I still felt like something was missing.

‘But wouldn’t that be a bit boring? Well, since Maria has the ability, no matter how we prepare the place, I don’t know if the creators will want to move their bodies and play.’

-Hehe… That’s where Awaken’s capabilities come into play. It shows a quality that can make all other offline content that has been released so far into the same level as playing house!

That wasn’t the end of my worries as as many as 50 people gathered… There was no way Maria would push forward with a plan she wasn’t sure about.

I decided to trust her and move forward with the work.

‘Okay, let’s give it a try.’

    ***

    Boom~

“Do you see what’s going on here today? If you see all the customers going in this direction. Is there any event?”

    “Ah, yes… ”

Virtuber Kkotmallang, who just turned 20 this year, awkwardly answered the taxi driver’s question. It was a courageous answer for her, who was uncomfortable with even simple conversations in real life due to her timid personality.

Fortunately, the taxi driver did not seem to be the type to force a conversation with a customer, and when the icebreaker failed, he seemed to quietly concentrate on driving.

    ‘Phew… thank god… ‘

Flower Mallaeng looked at the scenery passing by outside the window with anxious eyes. The current situation, leaving the city center and moving to a place with few people, somehow felt like a movie.

She was now heading to a pre-announced location to participate in Awaken’s MT.

    ‘MT… ‘

The hem of Kkotmallaeng’s top was wrinkled due to the fists clenched due to tension.

She never went outside unless it was time to take out the trash. Even without engaging in outside activities, she was able to make a living just from the income she earned from broadcasting, so she never left her home except in special cases.

However, when I was informed that the application I had submitted to Awaken, just in case, was accepted, and that there were plans to conduct MT offline, I felt so out of touch with reality that I pinched my cheek.

To be honest, Kkotmallaeng hesitated to participate even the moment she left the house.

In the first place, being a vertuber was not a combination that suited offline.

I had to be careful about being caught on camera for fear of my identity being exposed, and it was uncomfortable to have to wrap myself up just in case. Also, if the entire facial expression and body were covered like that, the audience would not find it interesting and the reaction would usually not be very positive.

Although Awaken guaranteed that there would be no risk of her identity being exposed, if it were not for a vertuber named Maria, she would not have participated in this content.

    ‘I want to be like Maria… !’

I thought about dried flowers, biting my lip as if I had made a firm decision.

To the general public, Maria did not become a hot topic because she was overshadowed by Minho, but her appearance brought about a change in the world of vertubers.

This was because the natural movements and facial expression changes, as if an animation character were alive, were unique and could not be imitated by anyone with current Virtuber technology.

Kkotmallang mustered up the courage to participate in offline content in order to receive support from Awaken, who is believed to have created such an avatar.

‘If only there wasn’t a requirement to come in person to prevent technology leaks… Hehe… ‘

    “Okay, we’re here.”

    “Oh… thank you… !”

After bowing to the taxi driver and paying for dried flowers, I got out of the taxi.

    “Wow… ”

Three large buildings caught Kkotmallaeng’s eyes. It was a country-like place with nothing around, but the buildings were sparkling as if they were newly built.

Dried Flowers, which had been staring blankly at the building, looked around. This was because I was informed that a separate helper would be waiting for the Virtuber when I arrived at the entrance.

    “Uh… !”

In her eyes, she saw someone wearing a staff name tag around their neck. The problem was that he was a typical Westerner with blonde hair and blue eyes.

    ‘foreigner?!’

Kkotmallaeng, who was extremely xenophobic, looked around diligently, but other than him, he couldn’t find any other staff members.

In the end, dried flowers approached him crying and decided to eat mustard, but he stuttered and opened his mouth.

    “Excuse Me… mom… Am, am a vertuber… Wow staff… ?”

“You can say it in Korean.”

    “Yeah?!”

Kkotmallaeng was startled by the very natural Korean language and screamed. But soon he realized his shame and cleared his throat. And after checking that the mask, sunglasses, and hat were in place, he spoke.

“Hmm… Are you the person guiding the Virtuber? I said you were at the entrance… ”

“That’s right. What is your nickname?”

    “Dried flowers.”

After hearing her answer, the foreign staff played with the earpiece in her ear for a moment and then nodded.

    “Kkotmallang. Confirmed. Then follow me.”

    “Yes… ”

Kkotmalang, who was quietly following the staff, realized that the area around the building was quieter than expected.

It was clear that many other creators other than her had participated in the event, and the number of people seen outside the building could be counted on one hand.

There were a few cars parked nearby, but compared to that, there were very few people walking around.

    Dried Flower asked hesitantly.

    “Um, over there… ”

    “Yes?”

“How many people participated today? ?”

I participated in Kkotmallang, believing that Minho and Maria lived up to their name, but when I saw that there were not as many people as I expected, I felt anxious. I was worried that the content might be poorer than I expected.

But the answer that came back slightly exceeded her expectations.

“The participation list that was delivered shows that not a single person is missing.”

    “Um, everything?!”

“Yes, participation was not mandatory, but all creators voluntarily wanted to participate.”

“Well, why are there so few people outside… ?”

“Not everyone has arrived yet. I think we’re halfway there now. and… ”

The staff member smiled meaningfully and continued.

“Those who arrived first are already having fun inside.”

    Gulp~

Flower Mallaeng swallowed his saliva without realizing it.
