Chapter Index

In the past, I posted several strategy posts on the community. It wasn’t my intention to help others, I just thought of it as proof that I’ve been working hard at the game.

So, when Arthur asked me to tell him how to conquer the dungeon, I didn’t think much of it. I thought I could just let Arthur know like I wrote on the community before.

But when I started writing on paper, I realized that I shouldn’t do that. Arthur is not a person beyond the monitor, but a person who must enter the dungeon directly and fight monsters.

It was impossible for him to understand the method tailored to the user.

So I erased everything I had written and wrote something new. Thinking back to when I first conquered Soul Academy, and when I was building the foundation for dungeon raids by beating all the modes.

The book created in this way became an amazing object that could be used to conquer any dungeon that exists in this world, provided that you perfectly master the contents written in it.

Because there was so much content in it, it became a strange book that most people wouldn’t even dare to read, but I didn’t bother to edit it.

Because Arthur is the one who will read the book I gave you. A guy whose basic intelligence stat is over 100 is sure to be able to understand this with ease.

His basic intelligence is twice as high as mine, which I worked hard on all year, so there’s no way Arthur can’t do that! Even I, with an intelligence of 58, can do it, so does it make sense that he can’t do it!?

So, I had expectations when I entrusted Arthur with the dungeon strategy today. You were extremely confident until you entered the dungeon.

At that time, I even thought that maybe I had given too much time? But as I progressed through the strategy, I realized that I had overestimated Arthur.

First of all, I’m having a hard time finding my way. I was told that there would be no problem as long as I checked the intersections of the dungeon because there was a regularity, but I couldn’t find it and ended up wandering around several times. I told him to skip it if he could because it was a waste to deal with all the random mobs, but he still had to deal with them all. I didn’t even look at the gimmick properly because I was busy moving around during the boss.

Oh, how hard I had to endure what I wanted to say in the middle. I really thought my teeth were broken.

Anyway, as I watched him imitate me clumsily and not embody any of the things I had written down in the book, I naturally saw what the outcome of the bet would be.

And as I expected, Arthur failed to conquer the dungeon within four hours.

    ‘It took six hours.’

“Huh? Are my eyes wrong? Why does it look like six hours have passed? There’s no way the poor confident prince could fail?”

Arthur just bit his lip and didn’t respond to my sarcasm. You’re probably looking back at the mistakes you made. At least he knows what he did wrong.

    “That Lady Arlen.”

Just as he was thinking that he was glad that he knew his mistake, Joey defended Arthur.

“3Please don’t blame the prince, because it is our fault that the attack was delayed.”

There were plenty of ways to refute what she said.

If you think about the specifications of our party now, it would take more than four hours.

Even if I hadn’t taken a wrong turn along the way, I wouldn’t have run out of time.

To put it bluntly, it was the command’s fault for not being able to properly protect the party members.

But I didn’t bother to say it out loud. What would be the point of mentioning the mistake that Arthur himself must have made? Instead, I immediately took the three people with me and headed to the next dungeon.

‘Prince 3. ‘Take a good look.’

“Poor prince. Please take a good look. Because I will make you realize how poor your command was.”

First of all, it would be better to show Arthur the ideal he should pursue.

When he entered the next dungeon, Arthur thought that Lucy would show off her unique dungeon strategy.

A strategy that seems to understand everything that exists in the dungeon, as if reading numerous futures and choosing the best path among them.

However, this time Lucy did not use that method. She led them not as a prophet, but as a skilled mercenary.

“There are some idiots in front of you. At that level, there’s no need to use magic. Idiot, just prepare the magic circle.”

“Is this also set up as a trap? It’s not fun.”

“Run without worrying about the trash that follows behind you. Even giving attention to those guys is a waste.”

“Is this bastard such a pervert that all he can see is me, who is cute? It will draw attention, so fire from behind. Idiot’s magic is poor, but this pervert’s is even worse.”

The speed was slower than usual because I chose a standard strategy rather than an eccentric one, but that’s only based on Lucy Aln.

As can be seen from the astonishment of the person guarding the front of the dungeon upon hearing that the attack had been completed in just an hour, Lucy Aln was a person who could awe others no matter how hard she chose.

After conquering two dungeons in one day and returning to his lodgings, Arthur locked himself in his room and reviewed what had happened during the day.

I thought I understood most of the theory written in the book, but when I got into practice, I realized I was arrogant.

It’s natural that I made too many mistakes, and because I was so focused on what I had to do, I even failed to lead others properly.

It’s entirely my fault that we lost the bet even though the dungeon’s difficulty was relatively low for our level.

The good news is that Lucy Alln personally told me how to fix my problem.

Lucy could have used the prophet’s method if she wanted, but she went through the dungeon using the knight’s method. The intention was clear to anyone who saw it. To show Arthur the way forward.

Because he knew him, Arthur followed Lucy and watched her move through the dungeon one by one. And then I realized. That Lucy Alln is doing everything she wrote down in her book as if she were breathing.

It wasn’t about being skilled. It was as if the method of conquering the dungeon was embedded in the soul itself.

Looking at him, Arthur once again realized what a monstrous person Lucy Alln was, but on the other hand, he also came to one major realization.

What is important is the field of view. The person leading the dungeon strategy had to capture the entire surrounding scenery in their mind, not just look in front of them. Only then can you conduct perfectly without making mistakes.

And in order to be able to do such eccentricities as if you were breathing, you need to be at a level where you can move naturally without having to think of a dungeon strategy.

Just looking at today’s events, it is clear that Lucy Alln’s nature is good. If she was truly a mean person, she wouldn’t have shown such consideration.

Is the being who controlled the sailors on the ship distorting Lucy Alln’s true feelings? Are you stopping her from speaking her truth? Why?

I can’t possibly guess why. This is especially so because, judging by his tone, he doesn’t seem to have any hostility toward Lucy Aln.

Arthur stared at the book that Lucy had given him one day, which contained the dungeon strategy, and searched for an answer that did not come out.

How long did you do that? Arthur, who came to his senses at the sound of a knock on the door, stared blankly at the tip of the pen with dried ink, then turned his head.

“3Prince. Do you have a moment?”

“Joy? what. No. Come in first.”

Joey entered the room and lowered his head as he took a quick look at the book Arthur had opened.

    “Sorry for being so late.”

“It was a pointless example. What’s going on beyond that? joy. He said he was tired and made a fuss.”

    “Ah. I. That’s it.”

    “Hmm?”

“Lady Aln wants me to tell you this. 3 Prince.”

Arthur blinked when he saw the headband with rabbit ears that Joey was holding out.

    “What is this?”

    “Headband.”

“I know that. What I asked was… Is this really the penalty Lucy Alln was talking about?”

“Yes. They say I have to keep wearing it until the end of this trip.”

    “Crazy.”

Arthur swore without thinking, but that didn’t make the headband in front of his eyes disappear.

After looking at the headband in silence for a while, he took it with a long sigh and put it on his head.

Then, Joy quickly took out a fan and covered her mouth, but the fan only obscured her vision and did not stop her from laughing.

    “Laugh openly instead.”

“Ah… Puheap. no. How dare I cause such a fire. fire. Sigh. Phew.”

Arthur, whose face was red, was trying to tell Joey what to do when he spotted Frey beyond the open door.

“3The prince has such tastes. That could be so.”

“It’s not like that! Frey! This!”

“It’s okay. It suits you well.”

Frey said this with an expressionless face and walked down the hallway as if nothing had happened. Arthur, who momentarily stiffened at the unexpected reaction, passed by Joey and hurriedly followed Frey.

“Don’t go! Give me a chance to make excuses! please! Let me protect my honor!”

After conveying Arthur’s punishment to Joey, I took off my disguise and went out into the night with Caria, who was my guard, and Carl, who was my guard.

The evening in the archipelago was very noisy. People who drink alcohol to forget their hardships lose their senses and start screaming randomly. I hear the sound of a fight somewhere. Also, this place where I could hear the sound of my stomach rumbling from somewhere was similar to the scenery I saw in the university town before I set foot in this world.

Those who seemed to be senior adventurers shook their heads at the people causing the commotion, but did not do anything to stop them. I guess it’s because they know that if they give advice to the truth guys, they will only end up getting tired.

The person I wanted to meet was one of those people who looked at men who were fist bumping as if they were pitiful.

    “Heishan. Have you waited long?”

As Karia pulled up a chair and said hello, the woman called Heishan shrugged her shoulders.

    “No. I just arrived too.”

“Then I’m glad. ruler. This is my employer. This is the person who wanted to meet you. I think I know your name even without you telling me.”

Heishan’s expression was filled with astonishment as he checked on me. I haven’t heard the story, but I think I know why she makes that expression. You probably know about Lucy Alln’s notoriety.

This hadn’t happened in a day or two, so instead of making an excuse, I sighed and sat down in the chair Carl had given me and crossed my arms.

    ‘My name is Lucy Aln.’

“Even though you know me, you can’t control your facial expressions. Like an uneducated commoner, you are stupid and rude.”

“Ah! I. that. sorry. Lady Aln. My name is Heishan. He’s an adventurer who achieved Grade A a few months ago.”

Heishan, who came to his senses belatedly, presented a greeting so neat that it was hard to believe that he was an adventurer who was a commoner.

Anyone who didn’t know the situation would have raised their eyebrows and admired her sophistication, but not me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to become friends with the second queen, who was the daughter of the duke family at the time.

“I heard that a nobleman wanted to meet me, but I never thought it was the daughter of the famous Arlen family these days. I was so surprised that I forgot what to say for a moment.”

Seeing Heishan smiling awkwardly, I smiled back. The intention was to reassure her, but judging by the way the corners of her mouth hardened, it seemed to backfire. The smile created by the Mesugaki skill is a bit scary.

“Stir. Why did Lady Arlen come to meet this insignificant adventurer?”

‘Your friend is looking for you.’

“Do you think he is a good person even if he is a sloppy commoner? If you see some old monster still wanting to meet you.”

    “…No monster?”

As Heishan tilted his head as if he didn’t understand what was going on, Karia next to him let out a sound of lamentation.

“Employer. I’ll explain the details, so just stay still.”

huh. I think it would be better that way.
