Chapter Index

    “Die… !”

As time slowed down through a high-speed accident, I thought to myself as I saw a ninja holding a sword approaching my chest.

‘As expected, a ninja… ! There was! ‘I believed it!’

    -It’s finally come out.

‘That’s right. I was wondering how long you would be watching. He was probably looking for a clear opportunity.’

As you can see from the conversation, we were already expecting another villain to invade during the battle. It was a pleasant surprise that the villain was a ninja.

‘is not it? ‘Because it’s Japan, it’s probably more of a cliché.’

When the battle with Kang Da-kyung first began, Maria decided that she could not help much with Kang Da-kyung’s telekinesis.

But that didn’t mean he quietly left everything to me, the owner, and went into observation mode.

Since Maria was not assisting me in combat, she used her spare computational resources to analyze the surrounding situation and reported what she found to me.

    -We are short one executive.

    ‘okay?’

-yes. Last time Da-kyung Kang appeared in front of the master with a group of executives, there was one more person.

‘There were definitely two faces I didn’t recognize at the time.’

One of them turned out to be a trickster, but I had no memory of meeting the other one again after seeing him that time.

‘Aren’t they still in the building?’

-That’s not it. It’s not tracked at all. And if he had, he would have met him before he came out like a trickster. Just in case, I’ll observe my surroundings.

    ‘okay.’

And, befitting its incredible performance, Maria soon detected something abnormal.

    -The shadows are unnatural.

    ‘A shadow?’

-yes. A shadow is a dark area that occurs when an object in the path of light blocks the light. However, there is a shadow that appears in a location that does not match the light generated by the master’s wings.

‘How come they don’t fit in?’

-Shadows that were supposed to appear behind the object appeared on the side or in front of the object, and shadows were caught moving in places where human-shaped shadows could not appear.

Maria captured everything in my field of vision even as I fought and moved from place to place at great speed.

Actually, I was so focused on Kang Da-kyung that I couldn’t pay any attention to the shadows. In a way, it has accomplished a task that requires more complex calculations than combat assistance.

-If the villain is hiding in the shadows, that also explains why my tracking didn’t work. If the villain hides in the shadows, the nanobots will remain on the surface of the object.

    And now again.

It was exactly as Maria said.

The last executive jumped out from the shadows and delivered a turning blow.

‘Of course, the turning blow delivered by a ninja will not work on me.’

I changed my posture with a relaxed smile behind my mask. If you thought that just because you had wings on your back you could only move forward, it was a big mistake.

    Quaaaa!

    “!”

I spread one hand toward the floor and spewed out flames, and my body, which was horizontal to the ground, became vertical. The inertia was compensated for by the durability of the body, and the necessary power was replaced by the driving force of the flame.

    ‘It’s almost like a rocket.’

Thanks to this, the sword that was aimed precisely at the chest failed to hit the target and pierced the air.

A look of astonishment was seen in the eyes of the ninja whose lower body was covered with a mask. Seeing that he was surprised that his move barely missed, it seemed like he wasn’t a real ninja, but just a guy playing a concept based on the superpowers he got by chance.

‘It won’t hurt if you get hit, but there’s no need to stab your chest when there’s no reason to get hit.’

A three-dimensional maneuver method that utilizes the feature of being able to emit flames from the entire body rather than the back. And there were traces of Alvaroi’s fighting skills, which were responsible for my fighting skills in the early days of growing up, which I no longer use as often as before.

‘There’s a chance I won’t use it often. There are martial arts that allow you to use more powerful techniques by using internal skills, and there are many newly acquired souvenirs.’

Alvaroi’s fighting art was a martial art designed with the assumption of dealing with ordinary humans. Practical martial arts for efficient suppression and murder. So, after gaining overwhelming power, the use of techniques actually became far from the efficient fighting pursued by Alvaroi’s fighting techniques.

However, there was one key point emphasized there: to defend and attack at the same time.

To be more precise, whether it’s defense, movement, evasion, or anything else, it’s all about forcing losses from the enemy and choosing moves that benefit you.

I don’t know if my goal was something other than defeating the enemy, but that wasn’t the case right now.

    So I did that.

    “Quaaahhh!!!”

The ninja suddenly came out of the shadows, stretched out his sword, and was covered in the flames that I released to change direction. The ninja screamed.

Since I had to turn it into an artifact, I deliberately fired it toward the floor to avoid killing it, even though the damage was limited to the lower body.

-Honestly, it wouldn’t be surprising if someone died instantly from shock.

    ‘is it?’

I answered Maria’s words hesitantly. When I used this ability, it always turned the enemy into a lump of charcoal, making it difficult to control the burning to a level where they didn’t die.

‘But isn’t this normal? ‘It’s strange if you’re good at grilling people.’

-Anyway, if you deal with more people, you will eventually become better at it.

    ‘… … .’

I couldn’t find anything to deny Maria’s opinion, so I looked away.

Where my eyes were directed, there was a ninja who was lying on the floor and trembling, thankfully not dead, and Kang Da-kyung, who was looking up at me with a devastated face.

All tornadoes surrounding the area have disappeared.

    ‘Have you given up?’

I came down from the air and slowly approached Kang Da-kyung.

As soon as I set foot on the ground, Kang Da-kyung lowered her head and stopped moving. Then he muttered something that I had no idea what he was talking about.

    “… … .”

    “What? Speak clearly.”

Even with my sensitive senses, I couldn’t hear it properly, so it seemed like I was mumbling rather than speaking a specific sentence.

    ‘Have you lost your mind?’

With that in mind, I took a step closer to Kang Da-kyung, and she, who had been keeping her head down, lifted her head up and swung her arms.

    “Duuuh!!!”

    “Tsk.”

It seemed like he was trying to lure me in by pretending to give up on purpose, as if he was planning on hitting me with his telekinesis at close range as a final struggle.

It was clearly an attack with such an unusual concentration of telekinetic power that the space around the fist could be seen with the naked eye slightly distorted.

However, the speed at which Kang Da-kyung swings her fist is much slower than when she fires a projectile. It was his last struggle, but it was proof that he was unable to make sound decisions.

    Suddenly

    Tuk…

    “Aaaah!!!”

He took a sword from his inventory and cut off her arm. He then swung the sword one more time and cut off the healthy arm holding the severed arm.

As a result of observing Da-kyung Kang’s use of telekinesis, we found that she always moved her hands and arms whenever she used strong supernatural powers. This means that without arms, there is a high probability that the power of telekinesis will be significantly reduced.

    “Ugh… Ignis… !”

    Huh…

Sure enough, she was glaring at me like she was going to kill me and used telekinesis on me, but unlike before, she couldn’t make my body take a single step back.

I struck Kang Da-kyung, who was about to go crazy, on the back of her neck with the handle of my sword and knocked her out. And to prevent bleeding, I took out a low-grade potion and roughly sprinkled it on the cross section of my arm.

When I looked around, the villain was no longer visible. Heroes belonging to the Japanese nation, who were watching the battle through a hole in the building, also appeared to be slowly approaching this direction.

    ‘It’s almost over.’

    -You must take the loot.

‘that’s right. ‘I have to take care of it.’

If I stayed idly by, there was a high chance that I would take care of everything and the loot would be taken away by the Japanese government.

Following Maria’s words, I searched Kang Da-kyung’s arms. In addition to various miscellaneous items, I was also able to find the ‘key’ artifact she showed me.

Once I got it, I swept it all into my inventory to look at later.

The same was true for the ninja villain’s belongings. The guy didn’t have anything in particular except the sword, but the sword was surprisingly of good quality.

    Tingㅡ

When I flicked the tip of the sword with my finger, I heard a clear and refreshing black sound.

‘Maybe there’s a little bit of Starlight in here too? If I had just tried to fight it with my body, I might have scratched my suit.’

I noticed it right away when it jumped out of the shadows to attack me, but hiding in the shadows was definitely a deceptive superpower.

Maria also agreed with my assumption.

-Yes. Apostle’s alter ego also contains some Starlight, so there’s definitely a possibility.

So, wouldn’t the Trickster also have an object made of starlight somewhere in his chest?

As I watched Shiranui coming this way, I thought I would search through my pockets to retrieve it.
