Chapter Index

There was no special reason for allowing a villain who called himself a trickster to copy his superpowers.

After thinking about the advice Bae Yeon-hee gave me after calling me, an interesting thought suddenly occurred to me.

‘People on this trip think that my ability to control fire is a supernatural power, right? The real superpower is high-speed thinking. Then, maybe we could use it in reverse?’

Do you even enjoy defeating your opponents using copied superpowers?

Since the output of a copied superpower cannot be stronger than the original, having such confidence would mean that one’s combat ability and ability to use superpowers exceeds the average of most superpowers.

In that case, there was no need to waste energy by bumping into Kang Da-kyung before dealing with her.

He says he will become weak to the level of an ordinary person on his own, so why would you stop him from doing so?

Sure enough, the villain known as the Trickster only used his power instead of spouting flames, and his face was turning red.

It was so funny that I couldn’t hold back my laughter.

    “Pugh… !”

“… Are you laughing at me now?”

Trickster gritted his teeth and said. I waved my hand and mocked him.

“No, no. Sigh… Try a little harder. Do you think fire might come out of your face then?”

“Profit… ! Why isn’t the fire coming out!! Aaaah!!!!”

The Trickster screamed and stretched out his arms towards me.

However, no matter how much you swing your hands or stretch your arms, you will not gain superpowers that do not exist.

Instead, in a desperate attempt to activate high-speed thinking, the guy’s expression was seen changing rapidly from moment to moment.

I decided to stop playing around and slowly subdue him.

Since I seemed to have figured out the correct answer, it would have been better to catch it before I started saying strange things.

    “This is… ? Your superpower is definitely… !”

    “Yes. Isn’t it very surprising?”

    Wow!

    “Big!”

In an instant, I moved to the front of the trickster and grabbed his neck with my right hand.

I thought about hitting my solar plexus, but I felt like I would die right away if I hit it when I was so skinny and had no supernatural powers. It wasn’t a joke, it was because it was made really poorly.

Maybe it was because of the high-speed accident, but he tried to avoid it somehow, but he had no luck.

My pure physical ability without any superpowers is at a poor level, and I was the original owner of the high-speed accident.

If you were aware of the same speed of time, you couldn’t miss it.

    puck! puck… !

    “Grurg… ”

The trickster swung his arm and hit the arm holding his neck, but it was a meaningless resistance. After putting moderate pressure on my hand and waiting a few seconds, the guy suddenly lost consciousness.

    ‘Cut one executive! ‘It’s easy.’

If I had copied and used Kang Da-kyung’s superpowers, he could have been a bit of a troublesome guy, but his personality and my superpowers matched well, so I was able to easily subdue him.

First, I broke the unconscious guy’s wrists and ankles, and broke his jaw to prevent him from copying the superpowers of any passing villain or hero.

-To be sure, it would be better to cut off the tongue too…

    ‘okay?’

    -You never know.

Following Maria’s advice, I ripped off my tongue and poured some of the potion into it. The bleeding stops moderately, but only to the extent that the limbs do not heal.

In the process, the guy seemed to have come to his senses by making a sound like he was out of breath, but no one here paid attention to such a trivial fact.

There was no other reason for going through the trouble of subduing the Trickster rather than killing him. Since he is a unique guy who copies superpowers, of course they wanted to make it into an artifact.

‘I wonder what kind of artifact will be created.’

-Iknow, right. Could it be possible to create something like a weapon that copies the superpowers of the previous user?

‘Then it would be fun. ‘I’m not sure.’

As with the key shown by Kang Da-kyung, the artifact had a strong feeling that it had some similar related function rather than containing the actual superpower of an actual superpower.

The artifacts that I created in the lab and simply named Telepathy and Haste Artifacts were originally the super powers of communicating to a large number of people and the super powers of speeding up hand movements, respectively.

One of them actually improved in performance after becoming an artifact, and the other could be seen as a case of being nerfed.

‘No matter what, it feels like I’m running a lottery, so this isn’t a bad thing.’

You can even deal with villains in the process? It was killing two birds with one stone.

After roughly throwing the trickster in the corner of the hallway, I got up.

    thud… ! Thump thump… !!

As the shock echoed throughout the building, it seemed like the heroes were still holding up well.

After passing through the curved hallway, I finally saw Kang Da-kyung and the Japanese heroes facing off.

Among them, the one that stood out the most was the familiar Shiranui. She was not wearing a flashy hero costume, but was dressed like a special forces member. A tactical outfit made entirely of black and equipped with various weapons and equipment.

To be honest, I expected the Japanese hero’s costume to look a bit like a ninja, but I was a bit disappointed.

    ‘I don’t know emotions, emotions.’

As I clicked my tongue, Shiranui, who was looking in my direction, spotted me.

    “Ha… ha… Ignis… ?”

He looks like he is very tired, shaking his shoulders and taking a deep breath. It doesn’t seem like he was directly affected by Kang Da-kyung’s telekinesis, but minor injuries were visible.

And Kang Da-kyung, who heard her muttering, also turned her head and looked at me.

Maybe it was because he got hit in the back of the head by me, but his eyes didn’t have the usual murderous look in them.

Kang Da-kyung spoke in a low, growling voice.

“… I finally got over it. Is this something you did?”

There were still Japanese heroes, including Shiranui, and there was no reason to reveal that the anonymous informant was me.

I shrugged my shoulders and took my stance.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about? Shall we go out to a wide area first?”

    thud!

Without answering any questions, he rushed at Kang Da-kyung.

Shiranui seems to have somehow survived by using the supernatural power of hallucination, but it was a method that was difficult for me to follow.

This meant that even if the heat distorted one’s vision, it would be difficult to avoid the telekinesis that filled the hallway unless it completely disrupted one’s senses.

So I rushed at Kang Da-kyung as if to tackle her.

    Wow!!

    “Ugh!”

As if she had not been able to raise her strength sufficiently due to her rapid approach, Kang Da-kyung began to be dragged away, maintaining only her telekinetic shield.

When I reached the wall of the hallway, rather than slowing down, I tightened my strength on my thighs and rushed forward.

    Kwaaaang!!!!

Debris and dust from buildings scattering as if exploding. Perhaps because we broke through the wall on the second floor and jumped out into the open air, we felt the force of gravity pulling us to the floor.

A body that naturally leans downward.

I said quietly when I saw Kang Da-kyung, who was about to be grabbed by me and pinned to the ground.

    “The lab did well.”

    “!”

When she heard those words, her expression distorted mercilessly. The look in his eyes was almost like he was going to shoot a laser and kill me.

    “Ignis… !”

    Coo… !!

I fell to the concrete floor with Kang Da-kyung down, released my tackle stance and stepped back.

‘I think I came to my senses quicker than I thought. ‘There was little shock.’

Is it because of the telekinetic shield surrounding Kang Da-kyung’s body? The shock was barely conveyed to me, who hugged her and fell with her.

As expected, Kang Da-kyung woke up again, clear of the dust, looking fine.

“I wasn’t suggesting you cooperate… I should have killed you the moment I first encountered you on the street.”

The first meeting that Kang Da-kyung talks about is probably when they ran into each other while arresting a villain. Actually, at first impression, we didn’t have a very good relationship.

If Kang Da-kyung hadn’t had the illusion that I had the skills to create artifacts, she wouldn’t have suggested cooperation in the first place.

“When it comes to villains, isn’t the mindset that it’s usually the one who gets fooled that is at fault? I don’t know why you’re blaming me.”

“… The guy called Hero just lives his mouth. I will especially capture you alive and use you as an experiment for the rest of your life!”

As soon as Kang Da-kyung finished speaking, I felt something invisible flying toward me.

    Whoop!!

As I twisted my upper body to the side, I felt a rush of wind as if a transparent cannonball had passed me by.

    “I have a good feeling.”

“Is this the end? There’s nothing special about the villain organization boss.”

    “… … .”

A vein appeared on Kang Da-kyung’s forehead.

“You probably thought that it would be easier to avoid my attacks if you moved to a wide space… But the opposite is true.”

    “The opposite?”

“Telekinesis also allows for larger attacks in larger spaces. You made the choice to dig your own grave.”

Then she spread her arms left and right and shouted.

“I’ll see how long I can avoid it like that!”

    Kugugugugugung…

I felt the air around Kang Da-kyung tremble. The vibration did not get smaller, but grew exponentially stronger as time went by.
