Chapter Index

No special permission was needed to go out with Amy.

After I simply sent a message to Jin saying I was going out, Mr. Shumain opened the door for me.

I was so excited that I shook my bag.

The objects inside made a rattling sound, but it didn’t stop.

It’s time spent just the two of us.

How could I not be excited?

“Hey, Mom, where should we go first?”

I circled around Amy and asked.

Since it was my first time dating, I didn’t know what to do.

In the comic book that Rain showed, it said that you have to try to please the other person and have a good time.

    “Hmm…”

Amy crossed her arms thoughtfully at my words.

    I kept running around.

This is a big deal. It’s supposed to make you so excited that you can’t think about anything else, but it’s already making you think about anything else.

I started to rack my brain desperately.

At that moment, scenes of Jeff and Amy together flashed before my eyes.

But, the sight of the two of them happily laughing together and eating crepes.

    Yeah! This is it!

I held onto Amy’s hand tightly as she was lost in thought and started running forward.

    “Je, Jeff?”

    “This way!”

I knew where the crepe shop was.

As I smiled brightly at Amy and kept pulling her hand, she pretended not to be able to resist and came to me.

After running like that, I was able to arrive at the crepe shop I wanted to go to.

A place where colorful crepes are displayed in abundance.

It was a cute pink store.

    “Wow!”

I pressed myself against the clear glass and looked at the crepes inside.

Since it was a food I had never tried before, I was very curious about the taste.

Of course, I still had memories of Big Jeff, but strictly speaking, that wasn’t something I had experienced.

“Jeff? Are you going to choose the menu?”

“I, I have this and that and this…”

I was so excited that I started picking out everything I wanted to eat.

There were more than five crepes that I chose like that.

    Amy picked only one.

After waiting for a moment, the clerk handed me a box filled with some very delicious-looking crepes.

    “Wow!”

I started walking around Amy with the box in my hand.

I wanted to hurry up and shove these delicious things into my mouth.

After finishing her calculations, Amy gently lifted the box I was holding.

    “Ahh. I’ll take it!”

“No. If you keep running around, it might break.”

Amy said that and started walking ahead.

    I quickly followed her side.

Amy headed to the central square with the clock tower.

The view was clear, so I could see the surrounding scenery at a glance.

    “Shall we eat here?”

    “Yes!”

As I nodded, Amy immediately went to a nearby bench and sat down.

I immediately opened the box and held the crepes inside in both hands.

The crepe, which was as big as my face, gave off a sweet scent as if begging me to eat it.

    “Yum.”

It was the moment when I had a crepe in my mouth and was chewing on it.

Sweetness that spreads in your mouth.

The familiar flavors I had been eating until now were mixed together, leading to a new taste.

    My tongue is trembling.

    “Is it that delicious?”

    I couldn’t even answer Amy’s question.

Swallow the crepe slowly, savoring its flavor.

In that empty mouth, the lingering aftertaste gently caresses my tongue.

I need to eat more, more.

I started to eat the crepe with shining eyes.

One bite, two bites, three bites, yum yum. As I was moving my mouth vigorously, the crepes I was holding in both hands disappeared.

But I still had three crepes left.

    I moved my hands quickly.

“Eat slowly. No one will take it away from you.”

    “Yes!”

However, it wasn’t a taste that could be eaten slowly.

I ate all the crepes so quickly.

    The taste was very satisfying.

Enough to give Jeff a compliment sticker.

I took out a notebook from my small purse, drew a picture of the crepe shop, and added five stars to it.

    I also left a note.

    Very delicious.

So I put the notebook back in my bag and looked at Amy’s expression. She was staring blankly into the distance, eating a crepe little by little.

    There’s still half left.

Amy seemed to be a slow eater.

But I felt uneasy looking at her expression.

Oh, are you not having fun?

    “Hey, Mom!”

    “Huh?”

I swallowed hard and began to open my mouth.

    My world is so small.

All I could think about was using the internet to explore a limited world, or school life.

Since I had few opportunities to go out, the only stories I could bring up were naturally school-related ones.

Although my story started out haphazardly, Amy began to listen to it intently.

Every so often, she would let out a small laugh and make a surprised expression, and I opened my mouth in excitement.

    “That’s why I have a cat.”

    “Cat…?”

I opened my mouth in excitement, but quickly closed it.

    This is a big deal.

It was a secret about the cat…

As I slowly rolled my eyes and observed her expression, Amy looked down at me with a complicated gaze.

We didn’t talk about Prin, but Amy was sensitive to the word cat.

    It was really, really big.

Amy, who was with Big Jeff, once witnessed Shine playing cat.

“Jeff. Are you referring to that cat as your friend?”

I shook my head with my mouth shut.

It was a really urgent move.

He turned his head so quickly that the white hat he was wearing fell back on his head.

    “Right?”

“Yes, yes… Of course… It was just a normal cat. It would jump over the fence and come over to play sometimes…”

Amy gave an awkward laugh and patted my head.

I held the removed hat in my arms and sighed without Amy knowing.

    “Then Jeff?”

    “Huh?”

“Oh, do you know what cat play is?”

Amy’s words caused my gaze to waver greatly.

Why on earth would you ask such a question?

I looked up at Amy, catching my breath.

She was looking down at me with a slightly subtle expression.

It was a really strange expression, neither smiling nor crying.

The tips of the ears are slightly red.

I could see the tips of Amy’s ears starting to turn redder.

    “Oh, cat play…?”

“Yeah. No. It’s okay if you don’t know.”

When I pretended not to know and ignored her, Amy pulled me into her arms.

I could hear her heartbeat speed up a little.

Amy’s motherly scent also grew stronger.

    West, no way…

I covered my face with my hat in Amy’s arms.

I wonder if Amy wants to play cat with me?

Maybe, it really could have been.

I swallowed hard and opened my mouth to make a small sound.

    “Ae, aeong…”

    At that moment, Amy reacted.

Her arms grew stronger as she listened to my voice.

    I swallowed hard and thought.

If, if Amy really wants to play cat…

For Amy, I was ready to wear a pink leash.

    “Should we stop?”

While I was mentally preparing myself, Amy suddenly stood up from her seat with an urgent voice.

“Yeah, I guess I should watch a movie. What do you think?”

Amy asked me as she dropped me off.

I slowly lowered the hat that was covering my face and observed her expression.

The corners of his eyes were twitching.

For some reason, a smile escaped my lips as I watched her look so flustered.

    Amy.

    I want to play cat.

But I didn’t ask to do it first.

I nodded and opened my mouth.

“Okay. But what movie are you going to watch?”

“Well, let’s look up some information about nearby movie theaters?”

Amy put her hands in her pockets at my question.

    This is a big deal!

Amy was trying to take out her cell phone.

I jumped up and grabbed her hand.

    “Hey, Mom!”

    “Huh…?”

“Wouldn’t it be more fun to just go without knowing?”

    “Really…?”

“Yes! A little thrill! The anticipation of going without knowing what’s showing!”

    “Sure…”

Amy nodded at me and took her hands out of her pockets.

Luckily, she didn’t have her phone in her hand.

I started to pull Amy’s hand.

The cinema was located not far away.

If you leave the square and walk a little, you will come across a huge movie theater.

Even though it was early, there were a lot of people walking around the area.

    “Wow…”

I held Amy’s hand tightly as I watched the scene.

Because if I let go of his hand and just sat there blankly, I felt like I would get swept away by the crowd.

“Hmm… There are quite a few.”

Amy was looking at the posters and billboards hanging outside the movie theater building.

I also followed Amy and looked around the place.

The first thing I noticed was a really cool poster with a space background.

However, sci-fi movies are not my taste, so I exclude them from my options.

    “Ahem…”

While I was carefully looking at the movies, Amy suddenly hugged me.

    “Oh, Mom?”

“Uh, should we go inside first?”

    Amy’s expression looks urgent.

She carried me straight into the cinema.

“Okay, let’s see this. Jeff’s favorite dinosaur is in it?”

    Oh, a dinosaur?

I looked at the pamphlet Amy handed me.

The title of the movie is, [The Last of the Hyper Mecha Tyrano.]

I looked over the movie’s plot, my heart pounding with excitement.

Mecha Tyranno, who was fighting monsters in the future, gets caught up in an incident and is sent back to the past.

Mecha Tyranno flew to the era when dinosaurs lived.

There, he learns love and friendship and spends happy days.

But that time didn’t last long.

Because there was a very bad meteorite heading straight for the Earth.

I really, really wanted to see you.

“How about it? If I buy the Mecha Tyranno Popcorn Set, I get a toy too?”

    “Okay, toys…”

Of course I really wanted it.

    But I shook my head.

Today, you are out on a date, so you need to be considerate of the other person.

What I meant was that I had to consider not only my own tastes, but also Amy’s tastes.

I shook my head and pushed the pamphlet away.

“Look at something else besides this.”

    “Really? There’s a dinosaur?”

“I’m fine. I think it’s what Mom likes.”

    “Really…?”

I nodded and started looking through the other movies.

At that moment, a small picture of a cat came into my sight.

The genre was a family film.

[The Adventures of a Little Kitten.]

The moment I saw that poster, what Amy said came to mind.

As I was staring blankly at the poster, Amy suddenly turned around and changed direction.

As I was held in her arms, I had no choice but to look elsewhere.

    “Well, how about this?”

This time, Amy chose a safe hero movie.

As I nodded, Amy quickly paid for the ticket.
