Chapter Index

    Huuung~

I heard an airplane flying overhead. This is Kumamoto Airport, with low mountains in the distance against a blurry blue background.

It happened to be an airport not far from Higashi Ward, where the incident took place.

The only airport I knew of in Japan was Tokyo International Airport, but there were also places like this. It was an inevitable choice because the distance between Tokyo and Higashi Ward, where the incident occurred, was quite far.

Although it was a relatively small airport, there were no particular complaints. In the first place, I didn’t come to Japan to shop at places like duty-free stores.

And the Japanese treatment was not disappointing just because the airport was small. Rather, I should say that it was better than expected.

    “日本を助けに来てくれて本当にありがとうございます。”

A middle-aged woman who looked like a politician at first glance lowered her head and said something to the Korean heroes who had just left the airport.

The woman with her head bowed had a badge on her chest that looked a little different from the one on National Assembly member Kang Hye-won’s lapel.

-Thank you very much for coming to help Japan.

“ Representative Ayumi Uenishi said to Korean heroes… ”

I purchased [Language Learning Jelly] at the mileage store while listening to the interpreter next to me who was interpreting one step behind Maria. Then, it was consumed by putting it in the inventory and taking it out of the mouth.

As Representative Uenishi continued, I slowly began to understand Japanese. It felt as if the Lego pieces that had been scattered meaninglessly in my head were being assembled on their own.

“まず、皆さんの… … There will be a prepared press conference. Come this way… ”

    “Everyone! Please follow me carefully!”

A Korean hero representative, who relayed the story to us through an interpreter, led us. The horse was a representative, but he was just a hero belonging to the country, so his identity was clear. It was necessary to appoint a representative, but no matter what, we could not have a hero who worked anonymously as the person in charge.

Still, the other members were basically people with righteous personalities who engaged in hero activities, so there seemed to be no difficulty in leading them.

‘When deciding on personnel, heroes with ambiguous personalities were probably filtered out. ‘If you go to another country and get into an accident, it would be an international shame.’

As I left the airport following the instructions, I saw a temporary platform. And in front of it, a lot of reporters from the Japanese media were camped out.

    Just do it yourself!!

The reporters who spotted us flashed! And I started taking pictures with a bright flash. The sound of the photo being clicked rang so loudly that it hurt my ears.

    “Korean heroes, please look here!”

    “Please strike a pose!”

“Please at least wave your hand!”

Reporters were clamoring to get usable photos.

‘What is it? If I travel just 30 minutes, I can clearly see the ruins of the city. ‘It looks like some celebrity has visited.’

Regardless of the situation that was happening right next to him, he seemed to be obsessed with news stories.

It’s not that there aren’t participants with a strong sense of work, but it seems like there are a lot more people like that wherever you go.

We followed the Japanese politician and went up to the podium. She took the microphone and calmed down the reporters. Then, telling a cliché story, he introduced the group of Korean heroes one by one to the reporters.

After the introduction, a question and answer period followed. There were several questions directed not only to politicians, but also to the Korean heroes standing behind them. The representative hero gave a standard answer, asking if he had received an answer sheet from the government and expressing deep regret for the villain’s terror attack in Japan.

Then, a reporter raised his hand and opened his mouth.

“This is JHK’s reporter Koji Mitsuaki! The male hero behind you, I mean… Ignis, I have a question for you!”

The politician looked somewhat embarrassed by the reporter’s actions. He kept glancing in my direction and hesitating. It seemed like he would be happy to take questions, but was reluctant to hand over the microphone to me for fear of causing trouble.

‘Well, I have a stake in the villain suddenly moving to Japan, so I’ll give it a service.’

“Korean heroes are in a hurry to help Japan, so preparations are still needed. So, we will skip personal questions at this press conference… ”

“No. it’s okay. It was only a few hours of plane ride.”

    “!”

I took a step forward and stopped the congresswoman from asking a personal question. She looked surprised at my proficiency in Japanese.

He waved his hand at the interpreter who was approaching from the side, indicating that it was not needed, and continued speaking in fluent Japanese.

    “So what is the question?”

The reporter who was staring at me blankly came to his senses at my question and adjusted his microphone.

“… You seem to be very good at Japanese. Where did you study? Do you have any experience studying abroad?”

“No. That’s not it. I studied Japanese because I was personally interested in it.”

Even though I had only recently learned Japanese, I started lying. If you decide to just pay lip service, you need to make sure you do it.

Naturally, anticipation spread among reporters due to the positive response from the hero from a neighboring country.

“Oh… I guess you have always been interested in Japan. ”

“Yes, well… I like Japanese ramen. I also watch animation sometimes.”

    “Oh!”

    Loud, loud, loud.

As soon as they heard my answer, the reporters burst into laughter as a group, expressing exclamation. The camera flash, which had subsided for a while, came on again! It started to explode.

As far as I know, Japanese people like gukppong as much as Koreans, but even taking that into account, it was a very strong reaction for someone who just said that they like ramen and animation.

As Maria later explained, Japan’s international status in Namhira was considerably lower than it was in reality.

The pool of psychics was small, which meant that their basic status was nerfed. It seemed like the writer’s taste was reflected.

In such a situation, when a hero from a much more prosperous neighboring country spoke positively about Japan, the response was bound to be positive.

After that, as I threw in a few words that I had roughly picked up from the Internet, some of the reporters started shaking as if they were having a mental orgasm.

    “Heo, heo, heo… ! A Korean hero who loves Japan… !”

“My dream is to marry a Korean man in the future!”

“Why is there no hero like Ignis in Japan!”

    “Take me ooohhh!!!”

In the end, the situation calmed down only after several drooling reporters were dragged away by the police who were controlling the area.

The press conference at the airport ended ambiguously and the group moved to a hotel prepared by Japan. While moving on a large bus, I heard the group whispering.

“You can make a woman go with just words… ”

    “Wasn’t Ignis’ superpower controlling fire?”

    “Well, it’s not that I don’t understand at all… ”

“If Ignis decides to seduce someone, is there anyone who would have the confidence not to fall for it?”

    -It’s a total homme fatale.

    “… … .”

After obtaining the necklace of charm, all the women of Namhira became poor. I just chose to remain silent. Now I felt like whatever I said would backfire.

When we arrived at the hotel, the Japanese hero handed us something.

    “Hmm… Here, please take this.”

She glanced at me and explained the item she had handed me.

“The necklace I gave you is a temporary ID for those of you who work anonymously. You will do most activities with a Japanese hero, but if a problem arises if there is no Japanese hero around, you can present your ID to the police.”

‘It resembles an employee ID card.’

I looked around at my temporary ID. It was a necklace made so that a card with a face and a hero name could be worn around the neck.

The Japanese hero continued his explanation.

“Korean heroes will take on roles such as rescuing people and distributing supplies in areas where disasters have occurred.”

“What about the villain? Don’t you beat the villain?”

    Someone asked that question.

“Of course, if a villain appears, the heroes will need help. However, the search for the villain is currently being conducted by Japanese heroes in cooperation with the police and Self-Defense Forces. In that case, we will request support from you, so until then, please do your best to provide support to the public.”

In short, unless the villain suddenly appears in front of us with the intention of killing people again, there is little chance of encountering him.

No matter how much we were heroes, our position was similar to that of volunteers who suddenly arrived. Since the details of the investigation were confidential, it seemed difficult to share them.

    “Well, it’s not bad.”

“Seeing as you don’t ask for help right away, I guess the situation is the worst.”

    “Tsk… I’m a little disappointed.”

“Did you come here to fight? I came here to save people.”

The opinions of other heroes were divided. The position that it was convenient to just quietly help people and then return to Korea coexisted with the position that I wanted to use this opportunity to raise awareness.

“Well, since it is late, I will see you again tomorrow morning.”

The Japanese hero bowed his head and left, and we rested in our respective lodgings. We will have to be busy starting tomorrow morning, so each of us will have time to prepare.

    ‘But not me.’

When everyone was asleep, I quietly left the hotel and hid in the darkness.
