Chapter Index

    Inside Mary’s lab.

Amidst the tension, Rain nodded, looking at the capsule in his hand.

It was a signal that preparations were complete.

    “Hey!”

Rain let out a loud shout and threw down the capsule he was holding.

Whirlyrick – The capsule flies while spinning and falls to the ground, starting to glow.

Soon, the capsule broke apart and a small water droplet burst out from inside.

    Porrr-

Rain clapped his hands in delight at the sight that resembled soap bubbles.

    “Wow!”

    Mary sighed at the sight.

Although the capsules have been improved in various ways, the total amount they can hold has not changed.

When Rain uses it, it becomes a simple bubble toy with no destructive power.

She seemed to like the droplets that the capsules produced, but that wasn’t the direction Mary was going for.

    “Umm…”

Mary takes out her notebook and starts scribbling down notes.

Amy looked at the sight and took the capsule in her hand.

    “I think I’m okay now.”

At least that’s what I think.

Amy added softly and threw away the capsule she was holding in her hand.

The capsule flew quickly, hit the ground, and then exploded with a small flash of light.

The energy that spread out from inside the capsule was Amy’s ability, White King.

Although his momentum was weak, the White King’s water droplets spread out widely around him and swept away all of Rain’s water droplets.

    “Aaak!”

The floating water droplets burst and water pours down onto the floor.

Rain, who had been running around happily underneath, ended up getting splashed with water.

Rain, who collapsed with a short scream, had a tearful expression on his face.

“Do you know how much it costs to make one of these? It’s not cost-effective. At this level…”

I listened to Mary and picked up the capsule in front of me.

It’s small and pretty, so it would be perfect as a toy, but it’s a shame that it’s expensive.

Store your abilities in a capsule and use them when needed.

Since the user of the capsule can retrieve and use the stored functions even if they are not the owner of the ability, the application methods are endless.

But the total amount of ability that can be contained.

    That was the problem.

Let’s say I put my abilities into this capsule.

If so, this capsule can only produce the power of one small battery.

At most, it’s a power of D size?

As Mary said, it is not cost effective.

In my case, it would have been better to bring a specially made battery.

No one in this headquarters could use the capsules as efficiently as Amy right now.

    “How about increasing the size?”

“If you want to start mass production, this size is appropriate. If you make it bigger than this, the cost will double.”

    “Hmm. Cheer up.”

Amy tapped Mary’s shoulder as she answered weakly, then took out her cell phone.

I too looked at her phone screen.

Since I’m short, I can’t see very well, so I just jump around in place.

On the screen that was confirmed like that, a message that had flown to Jin was floating around.

“I’ll go take care of some work for a bit. Please take care of the kids.”

    “Yes. Have a nice day.”

When Amy left, Mary sighed heavily and collapsed on the sofa.

He looked very suffocated as he lay down, hugging the cushion with a tired face.

“Can I use everything here as I please?”

Rain’s eyes lit up as he looked at the capsules strewn across the table.

    Mary nodded at her words.

With Mary’s permission, Lane immediately began to imbue the capsule with his powers.

At best, it might only be able to create something like soap bubbles, but that was exactly what Rain was aiming for.

    “Umm…”

Shine was also fiddling with the capsule that was given to her as her share.

I wonder how she plans to use that capsule.

I wasn’t interested, so I gave all my capsules to Lane.

Lane was delighted that he could make more bubbles.

Mary, who had been lying there listless, seemed to have regained some energy after a while and began to look at the bundle of papers she had recently retrieved.

I glanced over and saw that it was filled with unidentifiable words.

There was a drawing on it, and numbers written next to it, so it looked like a blueprint for some object.

    “Um…”

Mary let out a small groan as she examined the blueprint in her hands.

I didn’t think that was an important thing.

Is the item so important that you would commission it to be manufactured in a backward factory complex?

If it were me, I wouldn’t have even glanced at that place.

    “What is this?”

    “Don’t you know, Mary?”

    “Yeah.”

Mary nodded and began pasting the blueprint onto the large screen.

As dozens of blueprints were pasted onto the screen, a bright light shone over them.

The light that passed through the blueprint gathered in one place and poured out transparent parts.

A three-dimensional version of the drawing on the blueprint.

Mary reached out and began assembling the parts.

What was created was a small toy car.

“Jeff. Is this what you brought on this mission?”

    “Yes. That’s correct. I wasn’t wrong.”

Mary let out a small sigh at my words and began to disassemble the car.

The same action was repeated several times like that.

Disassemble and assemble, disassemble and assemble.

But in the end, it always ended up as a toy car.

“Why did you commission production of something that doesn’t even work?”

    “That’s right.”

Mary rolled the transparent toy car around.

The car, which was gliding through the air, disappeared after passing a certain distance.

“Wouldn’t it be different if you actually made it?”

    “Is that so…?”

I started to persuade Mary with shining eyes.

I’m not saying this because I absolutely want a toy car.

No matter how sophisticated the hologram is, there will be something different if it is actually made.

Mary, who eventually gave in to my persuasion, began to operate the machine in the corner of the laboratory.

A large printing machine began to whirr and spit out parts drawn on the blueprints.

    Mary was very dexterous.

Dozens of parts were quickly assembled to create a compact toy car.

    “Wow…”

    “There’s nothing different…”

Mary rolled the toy car around a few times, then sighed and handed it to me.

    Twinkle twinkle.

The car with the pretty red color was really cool.

    “Jeff, what’s that…?”

Rain, who was playing around making bubbles, started showing interest in my car.

As expected, you have an eye for detail.

I held out my car proudly.

Rain’s face was reflected on the shiny surface.

Playing with toy cars was simple.

Playing with it by placing it on the floor and making a rumble sound.

    But that’s how kids played.

If you’re an adult, if you’re a cool adult like me, you need to play a little differently.

I put the car on the ground and raised my hand.

It was time to put to use the power I had recently discovered.

    Baby.

Of course, the baby’s help was needed.

    Phagejik-

A blue lightning bolt extends from the hand and connects to the car.

With Baby’s help, Lightning’s nature begins to change.

The car responds to the faint magnetic power it has begun to exert.

    “Ouch… a car!”

Rain jumped up with a scream.

Because a car zoomed past between her legs.

The car was moving at a fast pace.

I can’t stop smiling when I think about a car that moves the way I think.

As I was following the car, Rain followed me.

    “Me, me, me, me!”

Rain also wanted to play with the car, so he started running towards it, extending his hand.

I look at the back of Lane’s head as he tries to catch the car passing me.

    That was nonsense.

I haven’t fully enjoyed it yet.

I waved my hand to the side.

At that moment, Rain kicked the ground and jumped forward.

The chick, floating into the sky, reached out towards the car with the eyes of an eagle.

    But my ability was faster.

Swish- The car that had been emitting small sparks suddenly swerved and went sideways.

    “Ugh!”

Rain fell to the floor and rolled around.

Rain, who jumped up with a tearful face, ran straight to Mary.

    “Mary! Make me one too!”

    “Huh?”

    Peep pee-pee.

Lane started to chirp at Mary, begging her to build him the car he wanted.

Mary shook her head with a troubled expression, then sighed and walked back to the printer.

    Wheeing-

A printer that starts making noise and spitting out parts.

Rain shouted as he saw it.

    “I’m yellow!”

Mary nodded and changed the paint job as Lane requested.

It was a simple task that could be solved with a few presses of a button.

The completed yellow car ended up in Lane’s hands.

    “Ta-da!”

Lane pulled his car out in front of me and started showing off.

The yellow one was quite pretty, but the red one was even better.

    “But Rain can’t do this.”

I started steering the car that was on the ground.

The car, which was moving quickly back and forth, turned sideways and even jumped.

    Phagejik-

The car stopped, emitting a faint spark.

Lane lowered the car to the ground with his eyes shining.

    “Yep!”

Rain shouted loudly, stretching out his hand.

    But the car didn’t respond.

    It was natural.

Because I was driving the car with my own abilities, not the car’s functions.

Rain, unaware of that fact, tilted his head and sat down on the floor.

    “Is it broken?”

    Knock knock.

I tap the car with my little hands and bring it to my ear.

Rain looked up at Mary with a puzzled expression.

“Hey Mary. Why won’t my car move?”

    “It’s not a moving toy.”

    “Ha, but Jeff’s thing moves?”

“Jeff is using his powers, right?”

    “Ugh…”

Lane fell to the ground with a dumbfounded expression on his face at Mary’s words.

Her yellow car rolled along powerlessly.

At that moment, as if something had occurred to him, Rain jumped up from his seat and filled the capsule with water.

Mary looked astonished at Rain’s simple act of pouring water instead of any ability.

    “That, that…!”

    But Rain didn’t care.

A capsule filled with water was placed inside the car.

The capsule that entered the vehicle got caught in a very suitable place.

    “I can do it too!”

With a loud shout, Rain reached out his hand and the car began to roll forward.

    She discovered it.

    How to move a car!

    Vroom vroom.

Two toy cars were busily running around the floor of Mary’s lab.
