Chapter Index

The long-awaited first day of school.

I smiled brightly as I recalled the gifts I had packed neatly in my bag.

“Why are you so happy today?”

    “Going to meet a cat.”

    “Cat?”

    “Hot!”

I covered my mouth and answered Amy’s question without thinking.

    Shine said.

Don’t tell anyone about the cat.

I shook my head and ran down the hallway, jumping up and down.

Amy tilted her head as she looked at me like that.

Luckily, Amy didn’t seem to pay much attention to what I said.

“Oh. Right. Jeff. That kid named Prin.”

As I was running around here and there, my body telling me I was ready for school, Amy said to me.

Prin, why are you suddenly bringing up Prin’s story?

Amy said with a small smile as she leaned against the wall, cautiously, looking around.

“There was nothing special about it. My family history was also ordinary. But since Jeff said it was suspicious, if you find anything strange, can you tell me?”

I nodded, keeping my mouth tightly shut.

Of course, Prin had asked for an investigation because he was suspicious, but not now.

She became my, Shine’s, and Rain’s cat.

So, there was no need for an investigation.

At that moment, Rain and Shine, who had gone to the bathroom, returned.

Now I’m all ready to go to school.

    “I’m going to school!”

With a powerful greeting, the three of them, as always, hold hands and throw themselves into the warp.

Amy greeted us like that and said goodbye.

At the warp location, Shandroi was waiting for us.

After the usual greetings, he told us the class schedule.

According to her, I can arrange my classes as I like, but I have never done so before.

“Then have a nice day today.”

    “Yes.”

After breaking up with Shandroy, I walk down the hallway.

I smiled as I imagined how delighted Prince would be to receive the gift.

    I couldn’t resist a bell necklace around a small, cute girl’s neck.

As we arrived at the classroom and were packing our bags, my friend Appleton showed up.

She arrived a little later than usual, and when she saw us sitting there, she approached us with a bright smile.

    “Hello!”

As soon as I saw Appleton, one good idea came to mind.

    Appleton is my dear friend.

I was able to confide in my friends.

So that means we can show you our cat.

The main reason I wanted to show her the cat was because of the camera she had, but anyway, I got up and grabbed Appleton’s hand.

    “Appleton!”

    “Huh?”

“I have something to show you!”

“What do you want to show me?”

    “Very cute cat!”

Appleton, who had been away for a while before, did not see the cute cat.

    I really regret that.

    “Let’s go!”

After collecting the neatly wrapped gifts from our bags, the four of us headed to the hallway where the cat was.

“Cat, why are you coming to the first grade hallway?”

Appleton tilted his head and asked, seeming to be interested in the cat too.

    But I couldn’t answer yet.

That means our cute cat is trying hard to imitate humans.

I approached a quiet-looking girl in the hallway and spoke to her.

    “Hello?”

She had been bowing her head, but she raised it at my words.

    Eyes grow wide.

It seemed like he was surprised that I, a senior, had spoken to him.

“Excuse me. Can you call me Prinzom in the classroom? Just tell him Jeff is waiting in the back flowerbed.”

I could go and summon Prin directly, but that would attract more attention than necessary.

The cute girl who was listening to me nodded.

Judging from the way he listened well, he was clearly a good child.

He patted her head as a compliment.

I watched the girl walk away to tell Prince something, then quickly left the building and headed toward the flower bed at the back.

A place where the number of visitors has significantly decreased due to the cold weather.

Children who always grew up in greenhouses hated cold weather and didn’t go outside much.

It was clear that I would be able to pet cats to my heart’s content here.

“Hey, Jeff, I said I was going to see the cat. Why did you call Prin?”

I gave Appleton a strange laugh at his question.

If you wait, you will find out.

Appleton looked back at Lane and Shine as if he was frustrated because they were giving him a strange smile without answering.

But they didn’t seem to have any intention of saying anything either.

So, after some time had passed while waiting for Prince, a black shadow suddenly fell from the sky.

The way he landed gently really looked like a cat.

Appleton stepped back in surprise at Prin’s sudden appearance.

Perhaps, to the untrained Appleton, this appearance seemed unusual.

    “Hello, seniors~”

Cat Prin, as soon as she appeared, she moved her body and showed her affection to me.

The body that moved smoothly approached quietly and rubbed its body against mine.

I stroked the head of such a prince and looked at the top of the building.

The wide open window and the branches of the large tree beneath it slowly swayed.

It seemed that he had jumped out of the window and stepped on a tree branch to slow his fall.

As expected, he was no ordinary child.

Maybe, Prince was a child who wanted to be a cat.

    “Meow~”

At the sound of Prince’s cat, Appleton’s face turns pale.

She asked me with a look of incredulity.

“That, that, that cat, is that really Prin?”

    “Yeah!”

    I answered Appleton’s question vigorously.

We didn’t forget to show off our cute little prince.

Isn’t it cute? Isn’t it cute?

When I asked Appleton, stroking Prin’s hair, she nodded with a faint expression.

That’s weird. I thought Appleton liked cat Frin too.

As I tilted my head, Shine moved.

She approached Appleton, who was greatly embarrassed, and placed her hand on the back of his head.

It was such a natural movement that Appleton couldn’t even react.

    “in…”

Appleton’s eyes, which always sparkled, lost their light.

Appleton’s expression became blank and his eyes were blank.

But soon, the light began to return to her eyes.

    “Go…”

    “Go?”

    “Cat!”

Thanks to Shine’s help, Appleton also seemed to like his cat, Prince.

She came up to me, very excited, and started stroking Prin.

“I knew Appleton would like Prin too.”

    “So cute!”

Appleton, whose tastes match ours, or rather, who has changed to match ours, showed an intense reaction as if he couldn’t stand the love of the cat, Prinn.

She was so excited that she felt all over Prince’s body, and eventually she took out her camera.

“Wait. Appleton. Don’t take the picture yet.”

I waved my finger at Appleton, trying to stop him from taking a picture.

    “, why?”

“I have to take a picture of the most perfect cat.”

After saying that, he opened the gift he was holding and revealed its contents.

I’m talking about a pair of black cat ears that match Prince’s hair, and a choker with a pretty pom-pom.

The choker had a small hole through which a leash could be attached.

“Okay. It’s a gift for you.”

    “Really? Is this my gift?”

Prin was a pretty and kind child who was happy with even small gifts.

    No, it was a cat.

She put the gift I gave her on as soon as she received it.

The cute cat ears flutter in the wind.

In time with her delicate movements, the large bell hanging from her neck made a cute tinkling sound.

It was truly the perfect cat.

It was really unfortunate that it didn’t have a tail, but it was an inevitable choice.

“What do you think? Do I look good on you?”

Tinkle, tinkle, the little girl who had been jumping up from her spot began to move like a cat.

Appleton’s camera blazed as it circled around us.

Click click click, the shutter sound continued to burst, and Prin naturally took a pose.

I approached Prin, who was holding his pose, and put the rope around his neck.

The pink leather strap stretches out long.

Because it is made of soft material, it won’t hurt even if it gets tangled with Prince’s body.

    “Leash…?”

“Yeah. Let’s go for a walk.”

Prince seemed a little embarrassed by the leash, and he flinched and made passive gestures while touching his neck.

I looked at that sight and thought.

I guess cats don’t like going for walks?

But I had seen that certain types of cats liked to go for walks, so I figured that Prin might be one too.

“Excuse me, do you not like going for walks?”

“No! If I can be with my seniors, I’m happy about anything. But I’m still a little embarrassed.”

As I was holding the leash in my hand and thinking, Shine whispered softly in my ear.

“Prin is pretending to be a person right now. That’s why he’s embarrassed. There’s no problem.”

When I heard it, it was like that.

It was clear that the cat, Prince, was too absorbed in imitating people.

    I pulled on the leash.

It seems that Prince lacks a bit of awareness that he is a cat.

    “Okay, let’s go.”

I walked through the flower beds, leading the Prince.

It was a lonely street without a single flower, but it was good for both me and Prin to be able to wander around freely rather than worrying about what other people thought.

How could she possibly reveal to others her true identity as a cat?

When Prin saw us, he got really excited and started taking pictures of us.

To achieve the perfect cat photo, Prince had to walk on all fours, but that would definitely get his cute little hands really dirty.

I pulled the leash hard, thinking that I should buy cat paw mittens later.

Frin, who was admiring the small flowers from a distance, quickly followed my gesture.

    “Ahh.”

Even though she was staggering, Prin didn’t fall over and came into my arms and hugged me.

    What is this?

    Something.

    It was strange.

As if doing something bad that you shouldn’t do.

My heart was pounding and I felt a strange excitement.

I stepped back, clutching my chest, and handed the leash to Lane.

Judging from the way his eyes were shining behind me, he seemed to want to take his cat for a walk too.

“Will Senior Rain take me for a walk this time?”

As the leash passes to Lane, Prin approaches her and tilts his head to ask.

At that sight, Rain’s face turned bright red.
