Chapter Index

“Can’t we just both be moms?”

Shine smiled at me as she answered Rain’s words.

I looked down at little Amy with such shining eyes.

If the kid was okay with it, then it didn’t matter.

“Baby. How about having two moms instead of one dad?”

Little Amy stomped her feet, sending sparks flying as if to tell them not to talk nonsense.

    Crackle- Crackle!

It seemed like he needed his dad, as he clearly showed that he was feeling uneasy.

“Looks like you need your dad…”

    “Hmm…”

I was lost in thought with Shine.

One of them had to be a father.

Little Amy looked at me and Shine, raised her hands in the air, and opened her mouth wide.

Although his voice was not heard, it seemed as if he wanted to say something.

“Huh? Baby. What did you say?”

As I put my ear to Little Amy, who was waving both her hands wildly, Little Amy suddenly jumped up and burrowed into my hair.

    “Ouch. Ouch! Aah! It stings!”

Little Amy, who had come into my hair, was running around here and there in my head as if it were her own home.

Every time a small foot hit my head, a sharp, stabbing pain would go through me.

    “Oh. Oh?”

Every time a tingling spark shot through my head, little Amy’s thoughts flowed in.

No, no, no. I hate them both.

Very fragmentary words begin to float through my head.

I caught little Amy rummaging through her hair and said to her:

    “You hate both?”

Only then did little Amy nod and stop spitting out sparks.

I spoke to Shine while slowly stroking little Amy in my hand.

“Hey. Shine. The baby doesn’t like both mommy and daddy?”

    “What?”

“Yeah. That’s what the baby did.”

    I reached out to Shine.

Little Amy, who had been twisting her body while being stroked by me, jumped out of my hand in fright when her body got close to Shine.

Poruru – The little girl who fell ran and hid behind a large dinosaur rock.

If you can’t see the other person with your own eyes, do you think they’re completely hidden?

A small smile appears on her face as she crouches down, wearing a large witch’s hat pulled down tightly.

“You don’t like mom. Our baby is going to get scolded.”

Shine watched little Amy like that, then with a playful smile, reached out and took little Amy in his hand.

    Crackle- Crackle-!

Little Amy writhed in Shine’s grasp with all her might.

Every time that happened, little sparks would fly out in all directions.

“Why is my baby so dissatisfied?”

Shine looked worriedly at little Amy, who was being held in his hands, and gently pressed her stomach with her fingers.

At that gentle touch, little Amy writhed and screamed silently.

A face distorted as if trying to endure ticklishness rather than writhing in pain.

Eventually, little Amy, unable to bear the tickling, disappeared again.

Passus- Shine, who was blankly staring at the scattered blue debris, spoke to me with a strange smile.

    “Hey Jeff.”

    “Huh?”

“I thought about it, and if it’s something that requires a father’s role, I think I can take over.”

    “Uh… Really?”

    “Yeah.”

“Thank goodness. Our baby will be happy!”

“Yeah, I’ll do my best. Day and night.”

As I clapped my hands in joy, Shine also smiled strangely and said,

It was a smile that had a strange, somehow erotic feel to it, and I felt a little burdened.

    “Bar, even at night?”

Rain was greatly embarrassed by Shine’s words and fidgeted with the fingers he had placed on the desk.

I looked away from her because she seemed to be starting to have delusions again.

Victor only had three hours a day to train him.

Because he was so strict about keeping up with his training schedule, he didn’t let me watch his training after it was over.

In the end, the day passed without incident.

    ***

    The next morning.

After arriving at the office, when it was time for training, I headed to the training ground with Victor.

After he arrived at the training ground, he sat down on a large chair and spoke to me.

    “Take it out once.”

    “Net!”

I answered Victor’s words forcefully and started calling out to little Amy, the brain child.

As before, he created a round sphere on his palm, and little Amy popped out of it.

Little Amy was wearing a witch costume exactly as I had first imagined her to be, not a blue gown.

She looked at me and nodded, tilting her large hat slightly.

Last night, Shine, who was trying to fulfill the role of father, took little Amy along and taught her various things, which seemed to have had a great effect.

“Hi! Want to say hello to Victor too?”

Little Amy turned around with an elegant gesture at my words and greeted Victor as well.

Victor opened his mouth, looking greatly embarrassed by the gentle greeting.

“How is it? Our baby, is he becoming a good person?”

Little Amy didn’t shoot sparks at Victor like before.

Victor looked down at little Amy on my hand for a while, then held out his hand to me.

“I need to do some experiments, so put the guy on my hand.”

    “Not a guy. It’s a baby.”

    “Okay. Bring your baby up.”

I nodded to Victor’s words and pointed to Little Amy’s hand with a wink.

Then little Amy jumped up and landed safely on Victor’s hand.

Knock knock – A faint spark rises as Victor’s palm, which he is standing on, seems to not like it very much.

“From now on, I will show you a picture to your brain. You have to guess the picture without calling your brain.”

    “Huh?”

    “Let’s start.”

Victor didn’t answer my question and moved little Amy out of my sight.

Little Amy, who had been moved behind the large plate, seemed to be emitting sparks as if she was anxious, but when Victor waved his hand, all the sparks that had been scattering around her disappeared.

With the large board between us, little Amy and I couldn’t see each other.

But I could feel little Amy’s anxious emotions flowing from beyond the board.

Victor took a small card out of his pocket and showed it to little Amy across the table.

Because a large plate was covering it, I couldn’t see what was drawn on the card.

    No, I shouldn’t have known.

    “Jeff.”

    “Huh?”

As I answered Victor’s question, I rubbed my eyes at the blurry image before my eyes.

“Now, I showed the picture to your brain. You have to guess the picture that the brain saw without moving a single step from where you are.”

Victor said this and took a large chocolate bar out of his pocket.

It meant that if I could solve the picture puzzle correctly, I could get that chocolate bar.

I swallowed hard and focused on the blurry image floating in the air.

Is what I’m seeing the same picture my baby is seeing?

The picture that appeared in the blurry vision was very simple.

The 7 of Hearts is the trump card.

I called out to Little Amy in my mind.

    ‘Baby. Is that 7 hearts?’

Little Amy shook the card in her hand wildly as if that was the correct answer.

At the shaking picture, I answered Victor with a strange smile.

    “Heart 7!”

    “That’s correct.”

The chocolate bar in Victor’s hand flew towards me.

I quickly reached out and grabbed the chocolate bar.

    “Next question.”

Victor took back the card he had given to little Amy and handed her another card.

I looked at Victor’s pockets expectantly.

Those pockets were sure to be filled with sweet treats.

But, contrary to my expectations, Victor did not bring out any snacks.

    “What do you see?”

I focused on the hazy afterimage of Victor’s words.

Even without products like chocolate bars, training had to be done diligently.

The picture you see this time is Spades 2

    “2 of Spades!”

Victor nodded at my answer and replaced the card again.

Victor repeated this several more times, making me step back and distance myself from little Amy.

“Let’s do it here this time.”

    “Net!”

Victor took out a chocolate bar again.

If you get the question right again, you’ll get a delicious chocolate bar.

    I munched and concentrated.

The afterimage of the picture was so blurry that it couldn’t be compared to the first one.

It was as if a thick fog had covered the card, and only the shape of the card could be seen, so it seemed impossible to match the picture on the card.

    “I…”

“Why? Don’t you want to eat a chocolate bar?”

    “Umm…”

I kept my mouth shut and concentrated more on Victor’s words.

Baby, I can’t see the picture!

Little Amy shook her card vigorously at my words.

But despite my efforts, I couldn’t match the picture on the card.

    That’s how time passes.

One minute, two minutes, three minutes.

After five minutes, Victor slowly moved his hand and began putting the chocolate bar he had taken out into his pocket.

I shouted urgently as I saw that sight.

    “Ouch, Clover 4!”

    Is this correct?

Baby, is Clover 4 the correct answer?

But little Amy didn’t answer my question.

After hearing my answer, Victor slowly walked over, took out a card from beyond the board, and showed it to me.

The picture on the card is 5 hearts.

    That wasn’t the correct answer.

Victor ripped open the chocolate bar’s packaging on the spot and chewed it mercilessly.

    “The connection is weak.”

    “Hey, are you connected?”

“Yes. The brain is made up of a part of your mind. Even if you are far away, you should be able to see what the brain sees. ”

“Even though we’re this far apart?”

Victor nodded to me and said.

    “Today’s training is picture matching.”

That’s how my picture matching training with little Amy began.

As the distance grew further and further, the connection became more and more blurred, and even my voice could not reach little Amy.

The maximum firing range was less than 5 meters, making it nearly impossible to use the brainwashing weapon in actual combat.

    “Victor!”

    “Why.”

“How can I strengthen my connection with the brain?”

After being absorbed in solving the puzzle for about an hour, I approached Victor and asked him his secret.

“Always keep it by your side.”

    “Ha, always?”

    “Yeah.”

“Even when you go to the bathroom?”

    “Yeah.”

    “Then when you shower too?”

    “Yeah.”

    “Then…”

“Just don’t leave me by your side all day long.”

I nodded to Victor and placed little Amy on my head.

She had been shaking the card in her hand all day, and she must have gotten tired of it because she just sagged on my head.

    “Is your brain tired too?”

I asked Victor, looking at little Amy with her head hanging over his head. He answered with an eyebrow wiggling.

“Of course you’re tired. It’s part of your mind, so you need to let it sleep and rest.”

    “Oh my… I see.”

I nodded to Victor and lay down on the soft mat with little Amy.

    “What are you doing?”

“Huh? You said you need to let him sleep and rest?”

    “That’s right.”

    “So I’m going to sleep.”

I answered Victor, who was looking at me in absurdity.

Since the brain is a part of my mind, it was obvious that if I slept, the brain would also be able to rest.

    So it’s good time.

I closed my eyes, making a white hair quilt for little Amy.
