Chapter Index

Today, training with Victor began again without hesitation.

    “What happened to the brain?”

    “I made it!”

    I answered Victor’s question forcefully.

I raised my hand and looked at him, and Victor’s eyes opened wide in surprise.

    “Already made it?”

    “Yes!”

It seemed that the brainwashing process was faster than Victor had expected.

If I had done it alone, wouldn’t it have taken a long time for me to succeed, just as he expected?

It was all thanks to Shine’s help for me.

“Okay. Then take out your brain.”

    “Net!”

As Victor said, I put both my hands forward and started calling out to little witch Amy.

PHAJIJIC – A round sphere appeared above both palms with a small spark.

Little Amy popped out of the sphere just like before.

Little Amy no longer looked around, perhaps because she was used to it.

He just folded his arms and sat down on my palm as if he was annoyed.

    “Hmm…”

Victor stroked his chin as he looked at little Amy sitting on his hand.

“How is it? Isn’t it cute?”

I raised my hand, tiptoeing, so Victor could see better.

    But Victor didn’t answer.

He just watched little Amy for a long time without saying anything.

Little Amy, who was feeling uncomfortable, fired small sparks at Victor’s face, perhaps because she was annoyed by his gaze.

A straight line of light struck Victor’s forehead.

Victor touched my forehead as if he felt a slight tingling sensation and spoke.

    “A little rough.”

“You don’t look like you’re feeling well!”

I reached down and took little Amy in my arms.

The small body struggled to escape my embrace, but I did not let it go.

    “Jeff.”

    “Huh?”

“Are you feeling unwell right now?”

    “What do you mean?”

“The brain is affected by your state. If you are feeling good, the brain will feel good, and if you are feeling bad, the brain will feel bad.”

    “Really?”

I nodded to Victor’s words and patted little Amy’s head roughly.

Every time I touched it, sparks flew out, but to me it seemed like nothing more than a small complaint.

Victor said, smiling as he enjoyed the stinging sensation.

    “That’s a little strange.”

“Are you saying my baby is weird?”

I looked up at Victor, frowning at his words.

Then, Victor looked very embarrassed and asked me back with his mouth wide open.

    “A baby, a baby?”

“Yes. I gave birth to it, so it’s my baby, right?”

Victor seemed so shocked by my words that he slumped down on a nearby chair.

He looked back and forth between me and little Amy for a long time in silence.

    “That’s not wrong.”

    “Right?”

Eventually, Victor had no choice but to admit to my baby.

I nodded and patted little Amy again.

But, perhaps because she was too pretty? Feeling burdened, little Amy waved her arms and legs wildly, turned blue, and scattered in a flash.

“Jeff, let me ask you one thing.”

    “Huh? What kind?”

“The brainwashing you summoned was definitely created by taking your mind away?”

    “Well, maybe not?”

I nodded to Victor and said.

But Victor shook his head, as if he didn’t like my lukewarm answer.

“Call me again. I have a few things to check.”

    I nodded to Victor’s words.

It wasn’t too difficult to bring little Amy back.

    “Yep!”

Bring both hands together and use your strength again.

When the blue light surrounding your arm gathers into your palm to form a round sphere, little Amy will pop out from within it.

    Just like this.

    Phagecic-!

    “Oh.”

But for some reason, the blue sphere only spat out small sparks, and did not spit out little Amy as I had expected.

I frowned and raised my power again.

    Phagecic-!

But the result was the same.

Little Amy was throwing a tantrum and didn’t want to come out right now.

“The baby doesn’t want to come out?”

    “How do you know that?”

“Just? I can just tell. She doesn’t want to come out now. She seems upset.”

I closed my eyes and answered Victor.

I felt like there was a little Amy somewhere inside me.

I couldn’t tell exactly where, but I heard a voice.

The cute and soft voice was like that of a child who was complaining to his mother.

    “Baby. Mommy was wrong~”

I began to soothe little Amy, mimicking the tone of voice she used when soothing me.

I took some candy and cookies out of my pocket and placed them on my palm.

But no matter how much I tried to coax and appease her, little Amy’s anger could not be appeased.

    “I guess I’ll go.”

Victor looked at me and covered my face with his hands.

The longer little Amy refused to come out, the deeper Victor’s sighs became.

    I sighed too.

I wanted to be a good mother, but it seems I failed.

“I’ll take a short break, so call me when you can summon the brain again.”

    “Yes!”

Victor said that and lay down on the cot in the corner of the training ground.

After checking Victor, I took out my phone and searched for the necessary information.

How to be a good mom…

How to calm a cranky child…

The first thing I checked was the 10 ways to be a good mom.

    1. Listen to the child until the end.

First of all, since our little Amy can’t speak, I thought it would be okay to skip this one.

    2. Praise in front of others.

This is something that is still being done.

It was very important to build up the child’s confidence by praising him/her generously.

    3. Have a lot of skinship.

    “Jeff!”

While I was checking out some good information for Little Amy, I heard a familiar voice.

I looked up and into the distance to see Rain opening the door at the end of the training grounds and running towards me.

I jumped up from my seat and waved my hand.

    “Rain!”

Normally, Lane would still be training, but perhaps because of what I said, he came quite early.

Rain, who had been running hard with her small feet, clung to me and spoke with shining eyes.

“Hey, where are you? You said you were going to show me something I might like?”

I let out an awkward laugh at the sight of Rain’s eyes filled with excitement and anticipation.

Even if I wanted to show it, I was in a situation where I couldn’t show it right now.

    “Sorry.”

“Why? Why are you apologizing? Can’t you show it? Then is it okay for me to tell you what I want to see?”

Shake, shake – Rain clung to my body and shook it wildly.

I pushed her away slightly and spoke in a calm voice.

“Excuse me. I can’t show you right now. I think it’s crazy.”

    “What? Who?”

    “My baby.”

Rain gaped at my words, took a step back, then collapsed on the spot.

    “Baby?”

    “Yeah. My baby.”

    “Jeff’s?”

“To be exact, Shine and my baby.”

Rain’s face turned bright red at my answer.

She seemed quite surprised, and stuttered with her mouth wide open.

“That, that baby, that baby. Really? No… Amy knows too?”

“Yeah. There really is a baby. And Amy already knows.”

The corners of Rain’s mouth begin to rise without warning after hearing my answer.

Lane asked me, covering his mouth with both hands.

“Did you two make this? Sisters. Twin sisters?”

“Yeah, I was able to make it thanks to Shine’s help.”

Hoo- Rain exhaled deeply, catching his breath.

She slowly calmed down, caressing her flushed cheeks, then got up from her seat and asked me.

“When did you get it? Or did you already give birth? Which one of you? The belly was still the same? We were always together.”

Rain’s speech was quite fast, as he was still excited, but his pronunciation was clear, so I could understand what he was saying.

    I nodded and answered calmly.

“It was born yesterday. I think it was me who gave birth to it.”

    Rain seemed to have misunderstood.

The baby I made with Shine wasn’t a baby that came out of my stomach, so I needed to explain it to Rain.

To do that, we had to start with the story of the brain.

Rain, who had been stamping his feet with excitement, changed into a drooping look as I continued to speak.

I felt a little sorry for taking away the high expectations, but I needed to correct the misunderstanding.

“In the first place, Shine and I are both women, right? Biologically, we can’t have children.”

    “Well, that’s true, but…”

“Hasn’t Rain been watching too many comics?”

Rain sat down with his mouth shut at my words.

I looked at the exhausted lane and spoke to the baby inside.

Baby, can you come out now?

    No answer came.

But since I didn’t feel the same sense of rejection as before, I raised both my palms.

“Shall I come out and see?”

PHAJIJIC – The blue spheres that had gathered in an instant spat out little Amy along with sparks.

She popped out with a “poof,” checked her surroundings, and nodded.

    “Wow…”

Lane was smitten with little Amy at first sight, his eyes sparkling and his hands wriggling.

Little Amy, feeling threatened by the sight of Rain like that, lowered her posture and let out sparks.

    Phagecic-!

“Baby. This is Rain. Mommy’s friend.”

    “Amy in her little form…”

I gently poked Lane’s side, who still hadn’t come to his senses.

Then, a startled Rain fluttered and greeted little Amy, who was standing in my hands.

    “Oh, hello? I’m Rain.”

Little Amy didn’t respond to Lane’s greeting.

I just took a quick look at Rain’s face and turned my head away.

“You shouldn’t do this. A good child should greet others properly.”

I scolded little Amy’s behavior in a pretended stern voice.

However, my scolding could not change little Amy’s attitude.

Little Amy crossed her arms and turned her head away.

I moved my hand and pressed little Amy’s head, making her greet Lane.

    Crackle! Crackle!

Little Amy didn’t hide her discomfort, and sparks flew everywhere.

“This is not it. I did it wrong. Do you understand?”

    Kook-kook.

With a spark, I pressed Little Amy’s head hard, and Little Amy jerked her head to the side, and bit my finger!

I opened my eyes wide in surprise at the stinging sensation rather than the pain, and little Amy had turned blue like before and disappeared.

It seemed like becoming a good mother would be very difficult.
