Chapter Index

Police lines made of holograms were created throughout the club. After receiving Victor’s report, the police arrived and installed it to preserve the scene.

The investigative methods of the future city police were very quick and accurate.

When something like a flashlight was shined on the wall and floor, numerous footprints and handprints were revealed.

Through it, they found out that the victim and the suspected android had entered the room together, and that only the android had suddenly disappeared from the room.

    “Mr. Victor.”

    “Yes?”

“Please show me the data from CCTV installed inside and outside the club.”

    “Yes yes… ! I understand.”

“And I’m asking just in case, but you probably didn’t create a secret space through illegal expansion on the walls or ceiling inside the room, right?”

“Oh my… ! of course! My business motto is trust and honesty!”

A man in a black jacket with a detective badge on his chest skillfully gave instructions to Victor. The detective’s name is Branco. He was a supporting character called Detective Branco in the movie.

While the two people were talking, small drones, similar in size to bees, began scanning the scene while making whirring sounds.

And I was standing quietly in the lobby watching all of this happen. I have already shown the placebo ID card to the police so I am not particularly touched. Perhaps because it is a prestigious group in its own way, it felt like the ID card was actually working well.

I took a step back and looked at the backs of Detective Branco and Victor, who were reviewing the CCTV footage. They were looking into space and pointing their fingers. If you think about the original movie, they would be observing what happened here in the form of augmented reality through lenses placed over their eyes. It was truly futuristic CCTV technology.

‘Baby Victor is scared for no reason… If I had hidden like she told me to do, the problem would have gotten worse.’

When the police first came, Victor told me to hide because he was afraid there would be trouble for receiving an android he didn’t order. It was roughly assumed that the sudden murder led to poor judgment.

It was already a sensitive case, but it was clear that if I disappeared, which was clearly captured on CCTV, the situation would escalate further. Then, it became obvious that if I was accused of being the culprit who committed murder, it would be bothersome in many ways.

As expected, it was good to ignore Victor’s instructions.

“… Confirmation is complete. It really makes a ghost cry.”

“I was also very embarrassed. There were no pictures of us leaving the club at all… If he saw that it wasn’t in the room, he would have gone somewhere.”

“Just in case, you should request an inspection from the company that produced the Android… ”

“Detective Branco! Are you inside?!! Please answer me ! I’m Detective Branco!!!”

“… … shit. Where on earth did I smell this again?”

A loud female voice suddenly came from the entrance of the building. It was the voice of the female protagonist, Blair Lovena.

And Detective Branco’s face frowned when he heard that. In the movie, Blair was a player who went around various crime scenes and bothered Detective Branco.

Detective Branco, accustomed to ignoring the voice calling him from outside, spoke a few more words with Victor and left the lobby.

“Uh… hey! Where are you going again?”

I also went out of the building, ignoring Victor’s call from behind me.

At the club entrance was Blair, who was blocked from entering by other police officers. she shouted, stretching her arms over the shoulders of the police officers who were trying to stop her.

“Detective Branco! What happened this time? Has a club visitor ever suffered a fatal accident due to a sexroid? Or did the visitor cause a disturbance?”

“Ha… Blair. The field is not your playground. Especially in serious cases.”

“That means… ! That sounds like a real scoop! Just a few more questions please!”

“I can’t say anything in front of you. Hey, tin can. You completely prevent Blair from entering the scene. okay? Blair is that woman’s name.”

Detective Branco shook his head and ordered me to block Blair’s entrance.

    “Okay.”

“Phew… What a pain in the ass. Recently, the number of Androids suddenly leaving the designated location has been increasing. Plus this mysterious murder case… I got enough sleep today too.”

Detective Branco muttered that and left. The police also withdrew, leaving behind only the minimum number of personnel.

They will now return to headquarters and solve the case through augmented reality that reconstructs the scene. With evidence scanned by small drones flying around inside the club.

“Detective Branco! Where are you going! Wait a minute!”

Blair screamed at their car as it was leaving the scene, but no one stopped to deal with her.

In the end, she lowered her shoulders and clicked her tongue as if she was in vain.

“Tsk… If you look closely, there’s definitely something there. Where should I dig up information?”

Unlike the passionate reporter she had shown a moment ago, she turned around with her arms crossed crookedly.

    “Surprise… !”

    “Hello.”

“Who are you… Wait, if you look at the Android badge on his shoulder… You are the security android of this club.”

Blair looked surprised when she found me standing behind her. Of course, after that, he looked me up and down and observed me, probably because of his journalistic curiosity.

“An Asian model with a design you’ve never seen before… Did the club renovate it to give it something special? Hmm… I think you have some sense.”

Blair put her face close enough to feel his breath coming from her nose. Thanks to her observing me while standing on tiptoe, I too was able to look at her closely.

Wavy black hair that goes down to the collarbone and amber eyes. The cat-like eyes filled with curiosity were filled with fatigue that could not be hidden. The atmosphere combined with her white skin, as if it were covered in flour, gave the impression that she was somehow sickly.

If you see it moving actively, you might just get that impression.

“You seem like a real person, right? The skin seems to have more elasticity than rubber… You’re barely using such a sophisticated android for security?”

I opened my mouth to stop Blair from groping and analyzing my body. I’m welcome to touch her, but I had other business to attend to at the moment.

    “Blair Lovena. Is that correct?”

“Huh? How did you know my name?”

“Detective Branco told us. It also says to stop people from entering the building.”

    “Tch, such a useless thing… ”

Blair grumbled for a moment, then tapped my shoulder and spoke in a soft voice.

“Can’t you just let me in? I’ll just look around without touching anything. Take a few pictures.”

    “Let’s go in.”

“Yeah, that won’t work either… What?!”

“Didn’t you want to see the scene? I will guide you.”

Blair must have thought there was no way she would listen while she was talking, so she made a blank expression when I obediently allowed her to enter. After staring into space for a few seconds, she soon came to her senses and muttered something.

“This is a crime scene… In this special case, public authorities would automatically be given the authority to issue orders directly to the security androids of the facility… ? Can you ignore Detective Branco’s orders? How?”

    ‘Was there such a rule?’

Perhaps it is a hidden setting that was not depicted in the original work.

However, since I was waiting here to establish contact with Blair in the first place, I couldn’t just stand by and block the road as Detective Branco said.

Even without my help, Blair would eventually get clues and pursue the story on her own, but doing so would be like missing an opportunity to make a good impression.

Blair narrowed her eyebrows and pondered for a moment, then shook her head to shake off her doubts.

“Well, maybe the settings are wrong. It’s a fortunate story for me. Security, guide me to the scene.”

    “Okay.”

As I walked into the club with Blair, Victor, who was in the lobby, stood in my way.

“Minho! Where on earth are you wandering around? If it continues like this… ”

In that situation, Victor tried to nag. But I stopped talking when I saw Blair coming in behind me.

“The woman next to me… Are you a guest?”

“Oh, my name is Blair Lovena. energy… ”

    “Yes, I am a customer.”

He stopped Blair from introducing himself as a reporter and lied that he was a guest. From the manager Victor’s point of view, there was no way he would want to have a reporter inside when a murder had occurred in the club. If that’s the case, it just means that the business can fail.

‘Seeing as he is still harassing customers even though a murder has occurred at the club he runs, it seems like Victor is not normal either.’
