Chapter Index

The last place we arrived at as we excitedly toured the school was the teachers’ office.

Grandfather Ferman naturally went to the highest seat and sat down.

Normally, this would have been the seat where Shandroy would have been sitting, but she didn’t say anything to Grandpa Ferman.

She prepared tea for us herself.

Appleton was constantly fidgeting, as if she was uncomfortable in this position, and I had to use my powers to calm her down each time.

    “How was your day?”

In response to Shandroy’s question, Grandfather Ferman lifted the teacup in front of him.

That simple movement looked so cool that I imitated my grandfather’s movements.

The strong scent of black tea wafted from the hot cup in my hand, tickling my nose.

After sipping his tea for a while without answering, he nodded and answered.

    “Not bad.”

    “Then…”

    “Instead, that’s not good either.”

An ambiguous answer that is neither good nor bad.

But Shandroy’s expression was not good.

    She looked embarrassed.

“Of course I can try harder, right?”

    “Yes…”

“You’re saying that you can’t do something that should be obvious right now.”

Grandpa Ferman quietly put down his teacup.

    The teacup was empty.

I opened my mouth in surprise at the sight.

It was really amazing how he could finish this hot thing off in an instant without making a sound.

I wanted to blow on the tea and let it cool down while drinking it, but I felt like I was being watched by those around me.

In the stiff atmosphere, I felt like I couldn’t move easily, so I quietly licked my tea with my tongue.

The tongue that touched and fell lightly was hot, but not to the extent of Dale.

    “Jeff.”

    “Huh?”

The moment I was concentrating on the car, I was startled by Grandpa Ferman calling me, and I answered.

I was trying to ignore the conversation because I had a feeling it was going to be a long one, but it seemed like it ended faster than I thought.

Grandpa Ferman raised his hand without saying a word.

It was a gesture to call his subordinates around him, just like he did at home.

Then, as if it were a lie, something vaguely appeared from a place where there was no one and came close to the grandfather.

    “Che, Chen?”

He was a bodyguard named Chen.

An old man I would often encounter while staying at my grandfather’s castle.

He greeted me with his eyes, then handed the large box he was holding to Grandpa Ferman.

    “Hmm…”

Grandpa Ferman looked over the box in his hands.

I looked at the box too.

The surface of the box had a very cool picture of a camera printed on it.

This is the camera that Shine asked for.

You didn’t forget to bring it.

Since I wasn’t that interested in cameras, I didn’t know the exact price, but just looking at the box it came in, I could tell it wasn’t cheap.

“Okay. Take it. It’s the camera you asked me to buy for you.”

I held out both hands politely and received the box.

My grandfather’s face never lost its smile, as he seemed so satisfied with my appearance.

    “Okay. Appleton. It’s yours.”

    “This, this is…”

    “Sorry for breaking the camera.”

Even though I borrowed my grandfather’s strength, isn’t this okay?

Appleton stroked the surface of the box with trembling hands.

“By the way, I don’t see Rain.”

Grandpa Ferman looked around and muttered quietly.

    “Ouch!”

Those words also reminded me of someone I had forgotten.

A chick sleeping deeply in the classroom.

    What is she doing now?

Shine also nodded slightly as if she realized something, as if she had forgotten about Rain.

I jumped up from my seat right away.

    “I’ll bring Rain!”

“No, it’s okay, Jeff. You don’t have to do that.”

“Yes? But wouldn’t Rain be happy to see his grandfather after such a long time?”

“It’s a shame, but I don’t have much time left.”

    “Ahh…”

I checked my watch at Grandpa Ferman’s words.

It’s only been two hours since Grandpa came to this school, and already we have to leave.

Ironically, my grandfather had the ability to control time, but he lived as if he was being chased by time.

I looked up at Grandpa Ferman with eyes filled with regret.

Grandpa Ferman, who had been smiling bitterly at my gaze, checked his wristwatch and got up from his seat.

It looked like he was about to leave.

“I guess I should go now.”

We walked towards the helipad again.

    As I walked, I didn’t say a word.

He just held onto Grandpa Ferman’s hand even tighter, as if he didn’t want to let go.

My steps slow down as the helipad approaches.

The grandfather, who had been walking in step with me, eventually hugged me in his arms with a small sigh.

    “Ahh…”

    “Come again next time.”

Since I wasn’t walking slowly, the helipad got closer in no time.

With the large helicopter right in front of us, my grandfather carefully lowered me down and patted Shine and I on the head without saying a word.

    Doo doo doo doo doo-

The loud sound of propellers hits my ears.

But I didn’t cover my ears.

The helicopter carrying Grandpa Ferman rose high into the sky and then disappeared in an instant in the direction it had originally come from.

After looking at the sky for a while, I turned around and touched my cheek.

    “Are you going now?”

“Yeah. I guess we’ll meet again next time.”

After seeing off our grandfather, we returned to the classroom.

Contrary to my worries, Rain was sleeping with a very peaceful expression on his face.

Judging by the drool, it seemed like no one had ever bothered her before.

Seeing her like that, I felt annoyed for no reason, so I stretched out my finger and poked her cheek.

Then, Rain’s expression began to crumple.

She shook her face from side to side, trying to avoid the fingers poking her cheek.

    But my fingers were persistent.

Such a small disturbance would not make her give up her soft cheeks.

The moment I was poking his cheek, which he kept trying to avoid, Rain’s mouth suddenly bit my finger.

It didn’t hurt because I didn’t grit my teeth, but her warm, squeaky tongue wrapped around my finger in an instant.

    “Ugh!”

When I was startled and hurriedly pulled my hand away, she was sucking so hard that the moment my finger came out of her mouth, a “sss” sound was heard throughout the classroom.

Appleton, who had been watching the whole scene from my side, blushed and couldn’t raise his head.

A tingling sensation starting from the tips of my toes.

A strange tingling sensation that stimulates a corner of the heart.

I looked down at my fingers, clutching my startled chest.

    Rain’s saliva-soaked fingers sparkled slightly.

In the end, it was Shine who woke up Rain from his sleep.

She looked down at Rain with a hot gaze, then spread out her palm and rubbed Rain’s cheek roughly.

    “Ugh, eueeeek.”

Lane woke up screaming as Shine rubbed her cheek mercilessly.

She looked around with her half-closed eyes, dumbly.

    “What, what is it?”

Is this really what an adult looks like?

I said, wiping the drool off her with a handkerchief.

    “Class is over.”

    “Already?”

Rain didn’t reject my gesture, but quietly stuck his face out so I could wipe it clean.

I couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief at her actions, which were so natural.

    “Yeah, it’s lunch time now.”

Yes, all the morning classes were over.

After having fun walking around the school with Grandpa Ferman, all the morning classes were over.

She had been sleeping all day, so there was no way she knew what had happened today.

I woke up, still holding Rain’s hand who was still half asleep.

    “Let’s go buy lunch boxes!”

Today’s lunch box is the same as last time, I chose pork cutlet.

The four of us headed to the rooftop like that.

The best place to eat lunch, Appleton told me, was the rooftop.

As we crossed the wide open door and reached the rooftop, a vast, empty space greeted us.

    “Oh…”

Rain looked around as if he found it strange.

I had the same reaction as her.

When I came here with Appleton before, there seemed to be a lot of students, but now I couldn’t find a single person.

“That’s strange. Where did everyone go?”

It was strange, but I decided not to think too deeply about it.

I liked it quiet rather than noisy surroundings, and I liked it without other people’s gaze rather than with them.

I grabbed Appleton’s hesitant hand and dragged him over to a spot with a nice parasol and we sat down.

The last time I came here, there were passengers so I couldn’t sit here, but this is good.

    “Appleton.”

    “Uh, huh…?”

Appleton looked up at Shine’s words and answered.

Now she was holding the camera that Grandpa Ferman had given her, and it seemed larger and heavier than the camera she had used before.

It was so uncomfortable to use on a small girl’s body.

But she seemed to like this camera so much that she never put it out of her hands from the moment she unpacked it.

“Have you taken a picture of it?”

    “Ah, not yet…”

“Then take a picture of Jeff and me.”

Appleton nodded absentmindedly at Shine’s words.

Shine comes next to me to strike a good pose for a photo.

Come to think of it, I don’t remember taking a picture with Shine.

A family without even one of those common family photos, really…

    “Shine.”

    “Huh?”

“When I get back later, I’ll tell Amy to take a picture too.”

    “Yeah.”

Shine answered my question and hugged me from behind.

Shine’s face resting gently on my shoulder.

A hand gently holding the lower part of the stomach.

I relaxed my body and leaned my back against Shine.

A comfortable smile forms on his face.

Shine was also looking at me and smiling softly.

“Chi, should I take a picture?”

    “Yeah.”

Appleton took pictures with a large camera in his hand.

Without a shutter sound, a faint radio wave was emitted with a crackling sound.

    “Did you take a picture?”

    “Yeah.”

Appleton nodded in response to my question and showed me the photo.

The images of pretty girls appearing on the camera screen.

The twins hugging each other looked very close.

“Me too! Take a picture of me too!”

Rain also saw the photos that were taken and clung to me, asking me to take a photo of him too.

It seemed like she wanted to be in a picture with me and Shine rather than appearing alone.

    Eventually, Appleton took another photo.

Lane was delighted and received the photo on his phone.

“Should we take a picture with Appleton too?”

    “Oh, no! I’m fine!”

    “Oh, really?”

I sent her the photos I had taken and asked her to take a photo with me, but she refused, throwing a tantrum.

An awkward silence fell at the unexpected reaction.

I fiddled with the lid of my lunchbox, feeling very depressed by Appleton’s rejection.

“Well, actually, I think it would be okay to take a picture…”

    “Really?”

As I fiddled with the lid of my lunchbox, Appleton stammered and spoke.

I jumped up from my seat, delighted at her words.

It shouldn’t have been like this.

It’s a special photo, so there must be some cool pose.

I grabbed Lane and Appleton who were sitting in their seats and stood up.

“What are you trying to do?”

    “Hehehe.”

I smiled at Lane’s curious question and sat down comfortably.

    “Something familiar!”

    “Familiar?”

    “And that’s awesome!”

    “Is it cool?”

“And it feels good when you do it!”

    “Hey, are you feeling better?”

Rain, who was listening to me, blushed and lowered his head as if he remembered something.

Yes, we will strike gymnastic poses and take pictures.

“Okay, everyone, get used to it.”

Clap clap- clap clap- clap clap-

    I started clapping my hands.

As the familiar rhythm began to flow, Lane and Appleton’s bodies began to move.

It was the same for me and Shine.

    Height increase gymnastics best pose.

Just before we get to the final highlight.

Stretch your arms out wide and raise them high into the sky to form a triangle, stand on your right leg and extend your left leg down.

    “Appleton! Timer please!”

Appleton, who had been posing nicely with me, seemed to come to his senses at my words and quickly ran over to operate the camera.

As Appleton manipulated the camera, a timer began ticking inside it.

She quickly ran towards here and took up her position again.

The resulting photo was absolutely perfect.

I set this picture as my phone wallpaper.
