Sinful writer, 6 minutes cut from smoking.
Today, [I became the final boss’s teacher.] has concluded with its 186th episode.
I committed many sins, such as being late every now and then or not finishing the series, but I think it was thanks to the readers that I was able to finish it. Thank you.
But somehow, before I feel grateful, I think the first thing that comes to mind is my sin for making you wait.
Since it’s a review, I’ll leave it at that for a moment.
First of all, I would like to thank the readers who have followed me for a year.
It may sound a bit cliche, but I don’t think there’s anything better than this. Because of you, I was able to write.
I’m serious.
Since I can’t fill this review with just thank yous, I’ll talk briefly about the novel.
Let me add, holding up the shield of my first work,
Personally, I became the master of the final boss. The following is an immature work in many ways.
It seems like there are some immature aspects here and there in every episode of the work.
The story should have focused on the priest-student relationship from the very beginning, but the writer’s lack of ability prevented that from happening.
Of course, since they were a priest-disciple relationship, there would have been more to show.
Also, I feel like the story ended without any of the characters, except for the main character, being able to fulfill their roles.
Representative characters include Lily, Jackal, and Samgeom, who have not been active since their appearance.
It seems that there are not only characters, but also unresolved plot threads and small gimmicks.
I wanted to solve all of these, but… unfortunately, I had difficulty solving them in relation to the main story, so I turned away from them.
In fact, Choi Bo-seung had nothing set in stone except for the part in the early mountains and the final scene. It was really a blank slate.
There were no plans for warriors or saints to appear.
Every day, whenever I thought, ‘Should I try making something like this come out?’, I wrote it spontaneously.
Because of my personality, the main story keeps changing and becomes somewhat unstable… .
Looking back now, I think they were all valuable characters, so I think they were well-casted regardless of the overall quality of the writing.
I’m so attached to the kids.
As much as we became attached to them, it’s a shame that the children’s story couldn’t be told in more detail.
I think I could do better if I rewrote it now, but I don’t think there will be a remake.
Since this is my first work, I think my immaturity is showing. I somehow find myself drawn to this immature state.
So I thought.
When should I write about these unrelated plot twists and the lovey-dovey nature of our priest-disciple relationship?
The answer was surprisingly simple.
‘Why don’t you just write it as a side story?’
If that happens, I think I’ll feel more mentally relaxed since the restrictions on the main story will be somewhat removed.
I think I’ll probably start writing the side story tomorrow without any break.
I don’t know how much content there will be, but it seems like it will be quite long.
Because I have to make Harang II too.
Actually, the cover has already been sold.
I’ll see you again with this work someday.
So far, this has been the 6-minute cut of the writer of [I Became the Master of the Final Boss] quitting smoking.
thank you
