Chapter Index

    Whooo

    “… … .”

I was watching a plane take off at San Diego International Airport.

‘I thought they would take me to San Francisco by car because they sent a driver… ‘

    But that wasn’t it.

The driver Olivia sent took me to San Diego International Airport, where I arranged a flight to San Francisco.

“I didn’t know you would come to the airport.”

“To get to San Francisco by car, it takes about 9 hours to drive from here. It takes a ridiculous 10 hours, even taking breaks in between, so if you leave after breakfast, you have to have dinner when you arrive.”

The driver smiled brightly and handed me the bag. He was holding it as a porter until he boarded the plane.

“On the other hand, if you take a plane, you still have time until lunch even after eating breakfast. You can easily get there in 2 hours. Do you have a fear of flying?”

“It can’t be. Honestly, I think I could somehow survive if I jumped without a parachute.”

“Hahaha. You are a fun person. Well, I hope you have a nice trip.”

“Aren’t you going with the driver?”

“I have to return the rented car first. When you arrive at the San Francisco airport, someone else will be waiting for you.”

The driver said those last words and disappeared somewhere.

It’s not an island like Jeju Island, but you travel by plane within the same land mass… It felt a little strange, yet fun.

[Passengers, our flight has arrived at San Francisco International Airport. Do not unfasten your seat belt until the plane comes to a complete stop, and check nearby to see if you have forgotten anything. Hope to see you again. thank you.]

As I boarded the plane and settled in, I arrived in San Francisco in the blink of an eye.

In this way, I thought I could have lunch at Olivia’s house or eat lunch at a nearby restaurant.

“Anyway, I said there was someone who could guide me… I don’t really see anyone like that.”

I got off the plane and left the platform, but the guide the driver had mentioned was nowhere to be seen. Thinking it might be because I arrived too early, I decided to wait in the corner of the terminal outside the airport.

‘Let’s see, shall we turn on the broadcast for a moment?’

It was the first broadcast since I announced that I was going to the United States to see Comic Con.

It wasn’t an unauthorized hiatus, but it was clear that viewers were dissatisfied as the show had been shut down for almost a week.

    [Just Chatting/ Hello California!]

    -Bang On

-It’s been a really long time.

    -Minho haha

    -It’s here!

    -Let’s go~

    -I thought you stopped broadcasting.

-Fuck hello. It’s time to enjoy everything alone.

As soon as I turned on the broadcast using my smartphone, viewers flocked to the show.

    “It’s been a while.”

As I was moderately accepting their greetings, a question coming up in the chat window caught my eye.

-Why does it take so long to turn on the broadcast? What happened?

    “Um, what’s going on… ”

For a moment, the riot that took place in front of the convention center and the incident involving the old man named Rogers and Ignis flashed through my mind.

    “Nothing happened at all.”

-I heard there was a riot at Comic Con. Minho, were you okay?

    -Really

-I was a little worried when I saw that.

-You should also post a separate notice!

-I read the article and it said that some Kosher was the one who beat up all the riot leaders and got all fucked up haha.

    -Hero appears lol

“I was eating at a nearby restaurant at the time. Fortunately, everything was cleaned up when I came outside.”

I avoided answering as much as possible to slightly sensitive questions that were difficult to answer.

“I refrained from broadcasting as much as possible due to Comic Con security issues and the fear of going abroad and being criticized for being a nuisance. I took some photos and videos, but when I have time, I will edit them and upload them to the channel.”

-Why did you turn on the broadcast now?

    -Statement of conviction~

    -omg

-Be quiet and then turn off the broadcast.

    -ㄹㅇㅋ

“I just turned it on for a moment while I was waiting in front of the airport. Should I turn it off then?”

    -No, no.

    -manager! Ban that bastard!

-There is no manager here, Lee Min-ho cut it himself haha.

-The physicality of the knife is crazy.

It was when I was interacting with viewers and talking about the places I visited in San Diego.

    Secretly~

    Wow!

    “Minho~!”

I felt someone slowly approaching behind me, and then they hugged my back with both arms.

    -????

    -Who is it?

-Do you think there will be some controversy about this?

    -Are you really a girlfriend?

    -You look like a foreigner?

-I’m so excited about the chat lol.

Of course, that scene was captured on the camera that was recording my face. I could clearly feel in the chat that the viewers were taken aback by the sight of the woman suddenly appearing and hugging my back.

    “Olivia?”

‘Was Olivia the guide the driver was talking about?’

“Surprise! You didn’t know I would come in person, did you?”

“Yes, of course… No wait. I’m on air.”

This was the difference between the schedule in San Francisco and the schedule in San Diego.

    Permission was given to broadcast.

Olivia’s family also knew that I was a private broadcaster, so they allowed me to stay in the United States for a long time at their invitation so as not to damage the broadcast.

‘Still, it’s a bit awkward to point a camera anywhere without notice. I should only turn it on when I’m moving around and when I’m alone in the guest room.’

And the feeling of appearing on a broadcast after mentally preparing and suddenly being caught on camera in everyday life felt quite different from the perspective of accepting it.

“Is it okay for my face to appear on TV?”

I asked Olivia because she seemed to have more qualms about appearing on the show than I thought, even after looking at the camera. It could be a sensitive topic, so if she showed signs of reluctance, I planned to stop broadcasting or cover the camera.

    “Are you okay?”

“… You asked for a mosaic on the video taken in Saipan, right?”

“Of course! I drank too much water and was brought out with rolled-up eyes. How can I just show such an ugly appearance on TV? Even if my dad didn’t ask me to, I would have made him cover it somehow!”

    “… … .”

While I was momentarily speechless at that extraordinary answer, Olivia put her face to my smartphone and introduced herself.

“Hi! My name is Olivia! Minho saved my life in Saipan, so I invited him in return! I happened to be coming to the US for Comic Con, so it worked out well!”

‘They say that today’s generation is very familiar with smartphones and social media… ‘

I’m still in my 20s, but seeing Olivia’s ability to adapt made me feel like I was mentally old.

-I don’t know what you’re talking about, but it’s funny haha.

-Look at Lee Min-ho’s expression haha.

    -You already look excited haha.

    -lol

    -Wow, talking is refreshing.

-Isn’t Comic Con just an excuse to come and meet him?

    -This is a guest.

“… I’m not a guest. I’m just an ordinary person. I’ll try to keep it out of the screen as much as possible, so you shouldn’t keep looking for it. If you say something harsh, a lawyer may contact you, so be careful while chatting.”

    -ㅇㅇㅋ

-All the kids who don’t notice have already been scammed.

-When a strange chat came up before, the host cut it off at almost program-like speed, haha.

Although they were communicating with viewers in Korean, Olivia opened her mouth next to her as if she had guessed the content.

“Guest? How did you know Minho was coming to our house as a guest?”

    -???

    -what?

-Wasn’t it just a tour guide?

    -This s***…

    -why? What did you say?

-I heard you invited me to your house?

    -Kuhhh… This envious bastard… !

    -omg

-After all, the West is the answer.

    -What

    -This bastard… !

    -You, that’s a crime!

-I see a lot of people getting caught in chat haha.

Naturally, the chat window burst into flames once more.

-Did you two go to Comic Con too?

“No, Comic Con is different… ”

“Olivia couldn’t go with us because we had other plans. It must be because of school, right?”

Olivia stopped her from saying anything. There was no choice because there was no end to the story about Jeong Soo-jin. She glared at me for a moment and then nodded.

-nice… Lee Min-ho’s English pronunciation is really annoying.

-Ah haha, I’m looking forward to this more than Comic Con.

-So, are you filming a vlog while staying here?

    -That would be fun too.

-Let’s feel like traveling abroad in the corner of our room.

“I will proceed with that depending on the situation. I think it’s probably possible, but I’m not sure.”
