Chapter 180 – Ignition

    “Welcome! Master!”

The moment we entered Class 1-6, a pretty maid waiting at the entrance greeted us.

The hair ornament on her head, the frilled design throughout her outfit, and the short skirt that exposed half of her thighs, along with the black stockings covering her legs—it was truly the quintessential maid uniform.

The maid at the entrance, perhaps due to her impressive professionalism, showed no awkwardness at all.

This girl, too, must have been just an ordinary academy student until yesterday.

    “Wow… that’s amazing?”

“Indeed. I’ve never seen something like this.”

“Hehehe! Shall I try being a master?”

As Abel and I marveled, Yas let out a vile laugh, like a corrupt noble who had harassed maids countless times.

He was so disgusting that my fists instinctively clenched.

Even the highly professional maid’s expression crumbled for an instant.

Just then, Uni ran out from inside the booth.

    “Abel! Everyone! You’re here?”

    “Ah, Uni!”

Uni was also wearing a maid outfit, and though she was a childhood friend whose defeat was confirmed, her beauty was so remarkable that it captivated, exuding a subtle yet irresistible charm worthy of a heroine.

Abel, as if captivated by her appearance, simply stared blankly, looking her up and down.

    Following her, Alisa emerged.

She was wearing a maid outfit that combined red and white.

Combined with her uniquely gorgeous appearance, it created an immense synergy, making everyone else around her look like squids.

    My eyes met Alisa’s.

    “What are you looking at?”

    “Nothing much.”

“Take your eyes off me, will you?”

As expected, at her usual sharp retort, I subtly averted my gaze.

    ‘I’ll get my revenge.’

Honestly, I thought I’d just choose another maid on the way here, but seeing her attitude, I realized I needed to properly humiliate her.

My designated maid is definitely Alisa.

Of course, I’m afraid of the consequences if I do this, but I won’t die, so it’s fine.

Just then, Uni led us inside.

“This way! If you’ve decided after looking at the menu, press this button to call us.”

    “Okay. Thanks!”

Uni left, and we looked at the menu, discussing our choices.

    “What are you getting?”

“Huh? Me? I… this one. I’m going for the Love Omelet Rice.”

“Oh? That’s a basic menu item. Yas, what about you?”

“Me, of course, this one right here, the Special Miracle Heart Kyun Kyun! Become Delicious! Omelet Rice. If you come to a maid cafe and don’t get something like this, why even come?”

His face, asking why I’d even ask something so obvious, was incredibly irritating.

However, regardless of that sentiment, I made the same choice as Yas.

    The reason was simple!

    ‘Alisa, you’re so screwed!’

To humiliate that arrogant maid who responded to me so rudely!

Of course, I didn’t think she’d easily comply, but just the act of putting her in such a situation was quite satisfying in itself.

“Then I’ll get the Special, uh, whatever it is.”

“Hey. It’s the Special Miracle Heart Kyun Kyun! Become Delicious Omelet Rice. Say it properly.”

“Ah, why are you making a fuss over something like that? Just shut up and call the maid.”

    “Ugh… tsk.”

Yas glared at me with a displeased look, but still obediently called the maid.

Uni immediately approached, holding an order pad.

    “Have you all chosen?”

“Uh, yeah. I’m going for the Love Omelet Rice, and for the designated maid… can I, uh, can it be Uni?”

“Yes! Of course! What about the others?”

“I’ll have the Special Miracle Heart Kyun Kyun! Become Delicious Omelet Rice! And for the designated maid… Oh! This one doesn’t look like Serlin at all. I’ll take her!”

“I’ll have the same thing. And for the designated maid…”

I subtly shifted my gaze behind Uni.

There, Alisa stood with her arms crossed, glaring at us discontentedly.

Following my lead, everyone’s gaze turned to her. She flinched at the sudden attention, then understood its meaning and twisted her expression into a fierce scowl.

    “You… are you crazy?”

“No, I’m not. My designated maid is you, Alisa.”

“Are you itching to die? Aren’t you afraid of the consequences?”

    She openly warned of retaliation.

If you think I’d back down at this, you’re gravely mistaken.

“Not afraid at all? I’ll do it even if I die. Anyway, that’s how it is, so get ready to act cute.”

    “Shut up! Why should I!”

As expected, her resistance was strong.

With her looking ready to grab me by the collar and throw me out of the classroom, I poked at her conscience.

“Then you’re not going to do it? If so, why are you even wearing a maid uniform? You’re being a complete nuisance. Do you think the other kids are doing this because they like it? Aren’t you being too selfish?”

“Th-that’s… true, but. Still, to someone like you…”

Her resolve that it could be anyone but me was palpable.

I resorted to my last resort.

“Ah, I guess I’ll have to tell Eunrang when I see her later. That you resort to violence every day, swear constantly, and are even a selfish woman with no conscience. Is that okay?”

“Hey! You wanna die? Don’t you dare tell her.”

“Then obediently accept being my maid. Got it?”

    “Ugh! You trash…”

Mentioning Eunrang seemed to be the perfect antidote, as Alisa’s momentum completely broke.

She clenched her fists and trembled, seemingly debating whether to just ignore me and punch me in the face, before nervously and abruptly turning away.

That was proof she had compromised.

Uni, who had been looking back and forth between Alisa and me, cautiously took down the orders on the pad.

“Th-then, one Love Omelet Rice and two Specials. Is that right? The special menu items will take a bit longer, so please wait comfortably. Ah, Alisa, let’s go!”

Uni and Alisa disappeared, and finally, peace descended upon the cafe.

    Yas patted my shoulder.

“Wow, you’re seriously crazy. How could you even think of making Alisa do that?”

“You were the one who said it first, weren’t you? How great it would be if Uni and Alisa called you ‘Master.’ So I just did it, didn’t I?”

“Hey, is that the same thing as this? I’ll give you credit for your execution, though. Don’t you agree, Abel?”

“…Yeah. Amazing. As expected of Ruan.”

The gazes of Yas and Abel, those two guys, were annoying.

Doesn’t that mean they believed I would make such a choice?

What do they usually think of me?

‘Where would you find someone as serious as me?’

I wanted to immediately correct their misconceptions, but since my revenge wasn’t completely over yet, I didn’t push my luck by making more enemies.

Right now, I need their support.

Based on this, I’ll definitely hear that magic incantation from Alisa.

    *

Meanwhile, behind the booth designated as the maids’ private space, Alisa was fuming.

“Why should I! Why do I have to do something like that for a guy like him!”

    Thump! Stomp!

Her shoes repeatedly dug into the ground.

If she didn’t do something like this, she couldn’t possibly calm her rage.

    ‘How dare that rapist!’

She was only treating him as if he didn’t exist for the sake of her friends, but did he think her hatred for him had cooled?

His pretense of cheerfulness was repulsive.

Moreover, to even mention Eunrang, she felt like running over right now and tearing his mouth apart.

But because of even the slightest possibility, the thought that Eunrang, having really heard Ruan’s words, might harbor ill feelings towards her, forced her to maintain her composure.

She didn’t want Eunrang to hate her.

Even if everyone else criticized her, she hoped that much wouldn’t happen.

As Alisa vented her anger, Uni approached and patted her shoulder.

“Alisa. Are you okay? If you don’t like it, should I talk to him?”

“…It’s fine. Who knows what he’ll do then. Just think of it as being tortured.”

    “But…”

“It’s really fine. I’m the class president, you know. What would the kids think if I said I didn’t want to? I was already planning to do something anyway.”

Even if the first day was busy with various things to worry about, she couldn’t not take orders on the second day as well.

The last day would have no customers anyway due to the tournament finals and various events, so now was the perfect time.

    It’s like a tough initiation.

“Alright. Then rest. I’ll call you when the food’s ready.”

    “Okay. Thanks, Uni.”

“Hehe! No problem. We’re friends, aren’t we?”

When she expressed her thanks, Uni, with a bright smile, went outside.

Alisa closed her eyes and began to rationalize.

‘Let’s think of it as being for Eunrang’s sake.’

Even if the target was a hateful rapist, if she assumed all of it was a sacrifice for Eunrang, she could endure it sufficiently.

And so, Alisa continued to compose herself until Uni came for her.

    *

    “Master! Your food has arrived!”

After a full 20 minutes, Uni appeared, carrying the food.

Behind her were an expressionless Alisa and a maid who looked nothing like Serlin.

Uni placed the omelet rice in front of Abel.

“Master. You’ve waited a long time, haven’t you?”

    “Uh, huh?”

“Hehe! Shall I cast a magic spell for you?”

    “U-uh, yeah!”

Perhaps not expecting Uni to call him ‘Master,’ a flustered Abel could only manage a brief reply.

Finding his reaction cute, Uni grinned, picked up the ketchup, and began drawing on the omelet rice as if it were a canvas.

Finally, she drew a heart with her hand and added a cute gesture.

“With love! Kyun! Kyun! Become delicious~ Yay!”

As expected of a basic menu item, the performance was a bit dull.

This time, I turned my head to Yas.

“Master. Here comes the magic spell!”

    “By all means!”

“Alright, then! Special Miracle! Heart Kyun Kyun! With love! Become delicious~ Yay!”

Up to this point, it wasn’t much different from Uni, but with the final chant, the maid climbed onto Yas’s lap and winked.

No wonder the special menu was so incredibly expensive; it seemed to include physical contact.

I was merely curious how Class 6 managed to push something like this through. The girls’ opposition must have been immense.

And Alisa isn’t the type to like this sort of thing either.

As I pondered this for a moment, I found myself looking at Alisa, who was now standing before me.

“Is our maid going to do anything?”

    “……”

“Are you ignoring your Master’s words?”

    Grind!

As soon as I provoked her, the terrifying sound of Alisa’s teeth grinding echoed ominously.

She took a deep breath, then carefully placed the special menu item on the table.

“M-M-Master… The special menu has arrived.”

“Good. Then please proceed with the magic spell.”

As I gave the instruction with a sly smile, she glared at me ferociously, as if wanting to snap my neck right then and there, before moving with stiff, awkward gestures.

    “Sp-Special Miracle… H-He…art. Kyun! Kyun! B-Bec-come… become delicious… Ugh!”

With the final chant, facing the physical contact, her eyes trembled, and she repeatedly glanced sideways at my knee, then…

“How can I do something like this! I won’t!”

She threw the ketchup bottle to the floor and disappeared.

    I nodded in satisfaction.

“She lasted longer than I thought.”

Honestly, I even thought she might disappear after taking the order, let alone come back with the food, so this was much better than expected.

And I even got Alisa’s Heart Kyun Kyun! So it’s fine.

Alisa’s blanket will probably have to endure countless kicks tonight.

Smiling contentedly, I picked up my spoon and began to slowly eat the omelet rice.

    ‘It tastes quite good?’

Whoever the chef is, their cooking skills are quite excellent.

Or perhaps it’s just because I’m in a good mood?
