Chapter Index

As the number of Violets grew from battalion to regimental size, I felt the importance of strategy more keenly.

Previously, I had focused only on how to defeat the enemy, but with the personnel exceeding a thousand, I had to pay attention to the preparation process before and after battle, as well as the method of conducting and concluding the battle.

As I began to consider strategic aspects, there was nothing in the world as important as logistics and information.

As I struggled, I could easily picture the countless generals and strategists throughout history agonizing over how to procure food and supplies for their subordinates.

“My head hurts! Why is there so much to consider?”

Fortunately, the Violets had many advantages over the soldiers of Earth before my transmigration.

First, the Violet Network granted us perfect, real-time communication abilities.

We could share each other’s thoughts and see the exact on-site information from distant Violets.

Furthermore, inventory bags and our object transfer ability made the movement and storage of supplies easy.

Thanks to this, food supply was not a major concern. We just had to buy plenty of food and store it in our inventories beforehand. If necessary, we could even hibernate to endure.

Most importantly, equipment of 3-star quality or lower could be replicated identically in large quantities, provided there was enough magic power.

Everything, from weapons to armor. Although it consumed a lot of magic power, weapons made in advance could be packaged and buried with hibernating bodies for long-term preservation.

    It’s a life hack.

Perhaps that was why? While the Violets and I were reorganizing the units in discussion with Irene, we discovered a noteworthy fact.

Namely, there were no logistics or communication units.

“I kept misunderstanding. You don’t need a communications officer, do you? The same goes for logistics. Where else in the world would such a unit exist? Truly…”

“Then I’ll delete this from the organization!”

However, even the Violet units were not completely free from supply issues.

For reasons still unknown, some items could not be replicated, and among those that were, some had severely degraded quality.

Due to the characteristic of replicas disappearing beyond a certain distance, live ammunition and arrows had to be real. The same applied to explosives.

Given this situation, the moment we saw ammunition piled up like a mountain inside the container, we almost cheered. We barely held back because we were in front of the weapons dealer.

    “Bullets! And rockets too!”

“These are the ammunitions you requested earlier. Not all of them. There are other containers besides what you see now.”

    “Alright, let’s see.”

As I waved my hand, masked Violets stepped forward and examined the ammunition.

When one of the airtight ammunition boxes, sealed like a can, was opened, a pile of bullets was revealed.

“The condition is good, not bad.”

“Alright. Let’s go see the next one. You’ve prepared it exactly as I requested, right?”

    “Of course.”

Now that we’d checked the ammunition, it was time to move on to examining the other items.

When the second container was opened, disassembled autocannons came into view.

“Is this what was in the catalog…”

    Armas nodded at my question.

“It’s an all-weather, multi-purpose autocannon usable for ground combat and anti-aircraft purposes. It’s man-portable, and its barrel and body can be disassembled for transport. It uses a 60-round drum magazine. Its firepower is certainly reliable.”

The heavy weapons introduction continued after that.

The doors of the container boxes opened, and we inspected the weapons. Armas fluently explained the characteristics, performance, and advantages of each weapon.

Occasionally, his subordinates would bring out samples to show.

“How’s the muzzle velocity? It’s a multi-barrel rotary machine gun. The soldiers of the Wall call it the ‘Howling Hellhound.’ Although its caliber is smaller than previous autocannons, seeing the rain of five to six thousand rounds per minute, it would be hard to say its firepower is insufficient.”

Each time a container opened, I felt an exhilarating thrill, as if I were peeking into Santa Claus’s sack.

    “This… it’s a missile, isn’t it?”

I pointed to the large, cylindrical object.

“You’re right. It’s a wire-guided, dual high-explosive warhead for magical beasts. The warhead is composed of Aetherium and rare metals from dungeons, designed to tear through the thick magic defenses and armor of medium to large magical beasts simultaneously. It also has a flight speed adjustment function for targeting high-speed movement suppression barriers.”

    “That’s incredible!”

After that, I continued to inspect numerous weapons. Heavy machine guns and mortars of various calibers, large and small. High-speed grenade launchers that showered grenades like rain. Portable anti-aircraft missiles and recoilless rifles. It was truly a weapons museum.

But the real prize was something else.

When Armas’s subordinate opened the last two prepared containers simultaneously,

we saw heavy metal cylinders piled inside. I immediately recognized what they were.

    “Cannons…!”

“There really were disassemblable field guns?”

The masked Violets examined the components of the field guns, carefully stored inside the container. Their appearance was rough and simple, but there was no dust or rust.

“As I mentioned before, these are second-tier equipment. The fire control system is a bit… old-fashioned. However, they perfectly meet your requirements. They can be easily disassembled into six parts for transport, and their total weight is just over one ton. Their range and accuracy are impeccable.”

    “Excellent!”

Once all the inspection was done, I couldn’t hide my admiration. Applause echoed across the deck. This weapons dealer had accurately selected the items we requested.

“Autocannons! Missiles! Everything we were looking for is here!”

Before the transaction, I had asked Armas to procure heavy weapons that met the following conditions.

First, excessively large and heavy objects couldn’t fit into an inventory, so they had to be easily disassemblable for transport.

They also needed long range and strong firepower.

    “It’ll be heavy.”

    “But the firepower looks solid!”

Looking at the countless weapons inside those containers, my anticipation soared. I wanted to play with them as soon as possible.

    “You’ve prepared the manuals, right?”

“Of course, the instructions are included. By the way, will it be alright? It would be difficult to handle all that equipment with just manuals.”

“We have people too, you see. We can practice even by ourselves.”

I was confident. Even the most difficult-to-operate weapons could somehow be mastered with enough time.

And I didn’t want to bring outsiders into our training.

After window-shopping for weapons, it was time to start the real shopping.

    “Alright, let’s begin the transaction!”

I said that and gestured behind me.

Masked Violets stacked large bags neatly in front of the weapons dealer.

Armas’s subordinates carefully opened the bags and inspected their contents with cold eyes.

Inside the bags were large amounts of cash, gold bars, bonds, and expensive decorative artifacts.

The subordinates checked for anything unusual and inserted bundles of cash into a bill counter to measure the amount.

    “Well, is it enough?”

“Yes, this is certainly enough, but it’s quite surprising. To pay such a sum immediately.”

Thus, our weapons transaction concluded successfully.

“By the way, how will you take all of these? We’ve disassembled everything as requested. You must be planning to use some kind of artifact.”

Armas asked. He seemed curious how I would take all those mountains of weapons in the middle of the vast ocean. I gave a vague answer.

“That’s right! I have several artifact items. You’ll understand if I put it this way, right? It’s an artifact item that’s wider on the inside than on the outside.”

Saying that, I pulled out a sizable duffel bag I had brought from home and showed it.

I explained that this duffel bag was an artifact with expanded space. The weapons dealer’s face changed to an understanding expression.

This was because artifacts with similar effects actually existed.

Now, the Violets carried the fake artifact bag and transported the ammunition and weapons.

In addition to this, we still had time for a spectacular show.

    “Girls, prepare the performance!”

After gathering the weapon boxes on the deck, we drew several fake magic circles around them with chalk.

Afterwards, Violets holding staffs muttered something in ecstasy and waved their staffs.

    “Be done… move… poof!”

Light magic was activated from the tip of the staff. Light erupted from the fake magic circles. Smoke bombs also exploded at the right moment.

A moment later, when the smoke cleared, there was nothing there.

The weapons dealer and his subordinates stared blankly at us, stunned.

“To think such a method existed… so you were mages.”

    “Well, it was a secret!”

We vaguely explained the method of moving the weapons as the power of artifacts and magic. In fact, it wasn’t entirely wrong.

After hearing the Violets’ words, a slight awe seemed to bloom on Armas’s face.

By the time everything was done and we descended from the cargo ship to the yacht, it was dim dawn.

“If you need anything next time, just call. We’ll serve you just as satisfactorily as this time.”

    I asked with a smile.

“So, can you get me tanks and helicopters?”

    “Haha, unfortunately, that seems impossible.”

We turned our backs on the cargo ship and headed back to sea. The cargo ship quietly disappeared beyond the dawn shadows.

    **

On the morning of the day the transaction was completed, I immediately began firing training on a cliff of an uninhabited island near the academy city’s main island.

While 512 rustled through the old manual, other artillery Violets slowly assembled the field gun.

“Let’s see. According to the manual… one, two, three, four?”

    “I don’t understand what it means…”

Fearing that the newly purchased weapon might break, we handled the cannon as delicately as a newborn.

“Ugh, it’s so heavy. Assembly’s done. Will it work properly?”

“We’ll have to see. Alright, load one shell!”

Several Violets gathered around the assembled field gun.

While 213 pulled the lever to open the breech, 884 pulled out a large shell from their inventory.

We performed the loading procedure, pushing the shell into the chamber and then closing the breech.

Once all preparations were complete, 512 pulled the lanyard.

“Then I’ll pull it. Three, two, one!”

A thunderous boom echoed over the uninhabited island cliff. A few seconds later, the shell dropped with a bang far out in the middle of the sea.

    “Oof!”

    “It’s a success!”

The Violets were so excited by the thrill of firing the towed artillery for the first time that they jumped up and down. All except 884, who had loaded the shell.

“Waaah… my arm’s broken. What do I do?”

    “Gasp! Quickly, reverse-generate it!”

Sadly, 884’s arm was broken when it was hit by the recoiling gun during firing. The cannon’s recoil was strong and dangerous. Seeing 884’s state, we realized how difficult the artillery branch was.

    “Ugh… artillery is hard!”
