Title: Complete Strategy Guide for Conquering the Abyssal Kraken (3)

    Author: LilGirlChang

Content: Continuing from the previous guide.

Remember when we successfully tamed Agnes in the last guide? Well, now the main event begins.

Just a heads up, this event won’t even trigger without Agnes, so don’t worry about building rapport with other characters and going on lake dates, only to face the Kraken battle.

Whether it’s a post-school date or a weekend outing, as long as you’ve managed to get Agnes to come out with you, you’re halfway there.

Be careful when planning your date route, as a wrong turn could mean missing out on the Kraken battle event even after all the preparations.

There are two main routes to the lakeside promenade:

    1. Grab a meal in the commercial district and then head to the lakeside promenade for the second part of your date.

    2. Stop by the bookstore in the commercial district, gift Agnes a book, and then head to the lakeside promenade for the second part of your date.

If you’re aiming to collect CGs, go with option 1; if you want to build up affection points, go with option 2. If you plan to do both, follow this route: meal → bookstore → lakeside. Personally, I’m not interested in Agnes’ affection points, so I stuck to the meal route.

After the meal, you’ll arrive at the lakeside promenade for the second part of your date. See that circle in the corner of the screenshot? That’s the boat rental station.

If you’ve followed either route 1 or 2, and have built up enough affection points, it’s okay to suggest a boat date. (If you bring Agnes from the lakeside promenade, but don’t take the boat, your affection points will decrease, so be careful.)

Pay the rental fee of 3 silver coins and rent a two-seater boat.

Take a leisurely boat ride around the academy campus, and you’ll encounter a few dialogue events.

There’s nothing particularly crucial in the conversations, so respond appropriately and skip through if needed.

Dialogue options do pop up occasionally, but they’re so easy that even a monkey could raise affection points, so I won’t explain further.

    (Example of dialogue options)

Agnes: Do you know what tomato meatball spaghetti and the 4th-order flame formula have in common?

    1. Are they both made up entirely of curves?

    2. Are they easy enough for a monkey to understand?

    3. …

Throughout the conversation, you’ll only see choices like these, and as you can see, there’s usually only one sensible option.

(Somewhere, a sinister sound is heard…)

Anyway, as you wander around the lakeside promenade, you’ll notice signs that the Kraken will appear soon.

Choose “Just walk away” to avoid the battle and end the day, or choose “Ignore and proceed” to face the Kraken and start the battle.

I’ll continue with the battle strategy in the next post.

    ㅇㅇ(175.223): Ending it here

ㅇㅇ(223.38): Why didn’t you include the battle strategy!!!

└LilGirlChang: I have a first period tomorrow, gotta sleep ㅅㄱ

└└ㅇㅇ(223.38): This guy’s a fashion lunatic. How dare he live in the present?

GuwonSunae: What kind of book should I gift from the bookstore to raise affection points? Can I just give any book?

└dd: Figure it out yourself. This guy comes to every guide and asks questions.

└LilGirlChang: Ah, I forgot to mention this. The red books in the Flame Magic section raise affection points the most. Other magic genre books are average. The rest are just okay.

└└GuwonSunae: Thanks a lot, always following the guides well. If I don’t follow guides like this, I get obsessive, haha.

ReallyGreatGame: Is it true that the Kraken event doesn’t happen at all with other characters? I have a condition where I go into a fit just seeing tsundere characters.

-릴걸창: I’ve never tried it, but I heard that characters with a maximum magic level over 2,000 can do anything in overseas strategies. But even if you hate tsunderes, you wouldn’t go on a date with Orion or a witch, right? Accept it as fate.

-정말갓겜입니다: Ah, just seduce Orion? Ok.

    -릴걸창: What the heck???

    -ㅇㅇ(61.43): Orion is gay…

    -oo: So what’s the choice!

    -ㅇㅇ(39.7): (Agnes is a loser)

    -릴걸창: (Agnes …… con)

On a small boat that Edan and I impulsively rented and boarded.

In the slightly awkward atmosphere, the boat carrying Edan and me began to move towards the center of the lake with the quiet sound of water.

    -Splash. Splash.

    “…Ah, Edan. There’s a tree behind.”

    “…Got it.”

On the awkward boat where Edan was rowing and I was directing the back of the boat, the boat gradually moved away from the shore and towards the center of the lake with Edan’s slightly reddened face due to alcohol.

As Edan and I were moved to the center of one side of the huge lake that enveloped the entire Knowledge Island, it would be difficult to pinpoint us as Edan and I who were looking at our direction from the Knowledge Island.

In the end, the boat, guided by Edan’s gentle rowing, stopped its movement on the unique lake.

Thanks to the gentle ripples of the lake, Edan and I could face each other in a serious atmosphere without any shaking or disturbance.

    “Lilith.”

    “Yes, Edan.”

“Can I finish the story I wanted to tell earlier?”

“…Yes. That’s why we moved to this place.”

I hoped that the calmness of the alcohol would bring back a calm mind while rowing, but sadly, Edan seemed to have made up his mind today.

Well, to be honest, it wasn’t the first time I almost confessed. There was a similar atmosphere in front of the bonfire before, and we managed to pass it somehow due to the bandits who appeared at that time. But in the current situation, passing it like that would be completely impossible.

There wouldn’t be crazy bandits coming to rob us on this lake.

    ‘…Huh?’

That aside, why do I suddenly feel strangely anxious as soon as we entered this lake?

It feels like I’m forgetting something important related to this lake.

    “Lilith.”

    “Ah, yes.”

As I tried to recall what I was forgetting, Edan’s serious voice calling me reached me again, and since it didn’t come to mind immediately, I guessed it wasn’t something very important and focused on the conversation in front of me.

“In fact, talking about this might seem a bit out of the blue to you, Lilith.”

    “…Yes, Edan.”

“But I feel like I need to convey this feeling to you at least once, Lilith. I wanted to express the feeling that I like you.”

…In the end, it has begun.

I hoped that the development wouldn’t go this way, but now I couldn’t just run away without answering.

In the first place, I didn’t have any intention of running away.

    “Lilith.”

    “Yes, Edan.”

“Do you remember when I asked you about the type of man you like before? Do you remember what you said?”

“…I don’t have a specific type of man I like, but I do have a type of person I dislike.”

    “…Yeah. You remember.”

    …Well, I could only remember.

At that time, my negative feelings towards Edan had reached their peak, and it was a time when I detested everything about Edan.

Looking back, it was probably from that moment onwards.

The moment when Edan stopped tormenting or annoying me, and instead, when people themselves began to change fundamentally.

“I don’t like imperfect people, or people who are short but chubby, or arrogant and lazy with only high self-esteem…”

    “….”

“And, and, I don’t like being sexually harassed by someone who stabs me with a sharp remark and mocks me right in front of my face, saying that he’s the worst man in the world…”

    “….”

“Back then, that statement, in fact, Lilyss wanted to convey that to me, right?”

    “….”

“P-please, tell me honestly, Lilyss. I won’t get angry or anything.”

    “…To be honest, yes.”

…Well, it seems like Edan has already vaguely caught on. If I were to lie now, it would only undermine trust.

If that’s the case, it’s better to be honest and move forward. I already knew that Edan wasn’t the kind of person who would taunt me with past events.

“Compared to the me back then, how am I now?”

    “What?”

“Lilyss, you said you don’t like imperfect people, so you’ve acquired proper manners and etiquette. You said you don’t like being short and chubby and lazy, so you’ve been training in swordsmanship with your father every day.”

    “…I see.”

“And, even though you might not like it, you haven’t touched me even when we sleep in the same bed. Except for what you did to me first…”

“…It’s okay. That was something I allowed Edan to do as a reward, so it’s different from sexual harassment.”

    “Y-yeah… that’s right…”

In fact, I had a vague sense of it.

The fact that Edan, who was known as the Pig Confucius, was growing in a completely different direction from the Edan in the game.

The only difference between the Edan in the game and the Edan in this world is one thing.

And at this moment, only after hearing the cause directly from Edan’s mouth, could I finally be sure.

Indeed, it was ‘me’ who had changed the Pig Confucius Edan like this.

“Is there anything still lacking? Is it still because I’m a little short?”

“…No. Edan’s height isn’t really a problem for me right now. He’s actually a bit taller than me.”

    “T-then…!”

“H-hold on, by any chance, if Lilyss has even a little bit of romantic feelings towards me as a man…”

    “…?”

“If there could be a relationship between me and you as a man and a woman, c-could we… date…?”

Water surrounds us. And in Edan’s hands are two scrolls.

There was no longer any way to escape.

It was time to face head-on the passionate feelings that Edan had for me.
