Chapter Index

The first thing I saw when I left the office was that the lights were on in the other team’s office.

I looked at it and asked Lane.

“Hey, Rain. Did the other teams get here too?”

“Yeah. Not all of them, but most of them came back.”

I looked through the slightly open crack in the door.

The other team members were working hard with serious expressions.

After confirming the sight, we quietly left the hallway without making a sound.

I walked down the long hallway to the elevator, pressed the button, and waited for it to arrive.

The numbers indicating the floors began to change rapidly.

After a while, the elevator arrived and we got straight inside.

Our destination is the forest at the top.

Lane confidently reached out and tried to press the button.

    “Ugh.”

But with Rain’s short keys, he couldn’t press the button at the top.

The elevator buttons were positioned quite high up.

Eventually, Lane ended up jumping up and down in place and pressing the button.

    widely-!

As Rain pressed the button, the elevator doors closed and began to move.

The elevator that took us quickly rose and soon arrived at the top floor where the forest was.

The thick smell of the forest wafted in through the crack in the door that slowly began to open.

The warm sunlight that I had never felt inside the building enveloped my body in a pleasant way.

I ran straight out of the elevator.

    “Whoa!”

I took a deep breath and looked around the wide surroundings.

I felt my head clearing as the fresh air filled my lungs.

A huge forest centered around a large tree, but there were no animals inside.

There was not a single sound of the usual birdsong, so it gave off a strange feeling.

    “Which way should I go?”

    Rain looked around and muttered.

I too stood next to her and began to think together with her.

    Where should I go?

In fact, there was no road.

As soon as we approach, a path appears, so it doesn’t matter where we go.

But still, I hope we get to a place with some nice things to see.

“I think that place would be good.”

At that moment, Shine, who had been keeping her mouth shut, raised her hand and pointed to one side and said.

Rain and I nodded and headed there.

The densely grown forest and the grass-covered forest made a path for us as we approached.

The grass shaking its leaves as if it was happy was quite cute.

I stroked the blade of grass.

The path covered with soft grass made it feel like I was walking bouncing along.

A little elasticity. The fun that little sensation gives makes me smile.

The three of us walked forward, chugging along.

As Allen said, the forest was more fun than the boring interior of the building.

Even though it was just a simple plump bump, the smile didn’t disappear.

As I bounced along the path the forest had made, I came across a small pond.

The clear water reflected everything around it like a sparkling mirror.

I ran straight towards the pond.

There was a large rock near the pond, and the sunlight was shining brightly on it, warming the rock.

The surface of the pond did not move even slightly.

I picked up a small branch that had fallen nearby and started to poke around in the water.

The entire pond shook with a small splashing sound.

    “There are no fish.”

Shine said, looking into the pond.

As she said, there was not a single fish living in the pond.

“Rain. Do you happen to know how deep it is here?”

    “Wait a minute.”

After answering my question, Lane took off his shoes and stepped into the pond.

Her little feet made ripples in the water.

    Rain’s body did not sink.

When we walked slowly and stood in the middle of the pond, Rain said.

    “Not deep!”

I took off my shoes and socks and placed them on the rock at Rain’s words.

The little toes wiggled and showed themselves.

Since he said it wasn’t deep, it was clear that it wouldn’t even reach halfway up Lane’s waist.

    I took a bold step.

The cold water rushes to my feet and calves.

My body trembles slightly at the pleasant sensation.

    “Shine isn’t coming in?”

    “Yeah.”

I asked Shine, who was sitting on a large rock, but she shook her head and laid down on the rock.

She seemed to like that warm feeling.

I kept walking until I reached where the rain was.

The further I walked, the deeper the water became.

From the ankle to the calf and thigh.

I approached Lane, holding onto the hem of her skirt.

“Rain. Surely it doesn’t get any deeper than this?”

    “Yeah.”

I nodded at Rain’s answer and thought.

Still, I thought I should avoid moving around too vigorously.

Because I didn’t want to get my underwear wet.

“Are you worried about getting wet?”

“Yeah. I think I’ll get in trouble with Amy.”

“I’m here. What are you worried about?”

As he said this, Rain released his powers.

Then, Rain’s body, which had been standing on the water, fell into the pond with a splashing sound.

Even if it fell out, it was only Rain’s thighs that were completely submerged.

Lane waved his hand, showing off his soaking wet clothes.

Then, water droplets began to flow out of Rain’s clothes, which had been soaking wet, and the clothes returned to the condition they were in before they got wet.

Yes. With Rain’s powers, even if the clothes got wet, they could quickly return to their original state.

I immediately let go of the hem of the clothes I was holding.

The dress that fell fluttering was soaked with water.

I jumped straight into the water.

A cold sensation enveloped my entire body, making me snap to my senses.

When I opened my eyes in the water, I saw Rain’s small feet.

I walked up to Lane and pushed her backwards, knocking her over.

Rain’s body sinks into the water with a splash.

Her golden, sparkling hair scatters in all directions.

Her blue eyes were wide open in surprise.

    I smiled at Rain.

Although I couldn’t hear the laughter because it was underwater, Rain also smiled at me.

I was picking out cute rocks while underwater, and then I started to feel out of breath and came up to the surface.

    “Pooha!”

A weight that I hadn’t felt in the water weighed down my body.

Her damp hair clung to her body, and so did her clothes.

I looked at my reflection in the water.

Because she was wearing thin clothes, the clothes clung tightly to her body and showed off her body’s curves.

I gathered my loose hair and wrapped it around my neck.

    “Rain?”

Rain was still submerged under water.

    I approached Lane.

    Rain’s face was slightly red.

Her blue eyes scan my body from side to side.

I felt her gaze and smiled slightly.

    “Rain. Let’s go.”

    Rain didn’t answer.

Her blue eyes tremble without rest.

I reached out to Rain, who wasn’t coming out, and pulled her body up above the water.

Rain’s hair also became stuck to his body, just like mine.

    “Rain. I feel like drawing.”

    “Ugh…”

    “Rain?”

Rain couldn’t even meet my gaze properly while I was talking.

    Why is this happening?

I grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the pond.

The feeling of damp clothes sticking to my body was not a very pleasant feeling.

After getting out of the water, I wrung out the water from my clothes.

    “Rain. Please.”

    “Ahh! Yeah!”

I exposed my body to Lane, spreading my arms out.

Then, Rain hesitated and held out his hand.

She raised her abilities as I asked.

As you showed me earlier, small water droplets scattered in all directions from the clothes wrapped around my body, making my clothes wet.

    The same goes for hair.

I ran my hand through my flowing hair a few times and spun around in place.

All the dampness I had felt all over my body disappeared.

    “Thank you, Rain.”

I held Rain’s hand and smiled slightly.

She just nodded slightly, her head bowed low at my smile.

Shine was lying flat on the rock, fast asleep.

I walked up to her and put on my socks and shoes.

Raindo used his powers to blow away all the moisture, then came over and sat down next to me.

The warm warmth of the rocks brought a pleasant sleep.

    Still, I couldn’t fall asleep.

I yawned heavily and took my sketchbook out of my bag.

Since we arrived at a place where we could draw a nice picture, we had to draw it.

I took out various colored pencils and crayons and started to think.

What should I draw with today?

After thinking about it for a long time, I finally picked up a colored pencil.

Today I was thinking of drawing with colored pencils.

Rain lay down next to Shine, probably thinking of taking a nap.

It was natural that I would fall asleep while basking in this pleasant sunlight.

    The forest was too quiet.

If it weren’t for the sound of two people breathing next to me, it would have been a little scary.

    I drew hard.

Sunlight pouring into the middle of the pond and the trees and grass surrounding it.

To Shine and Rain lying on a huge rock.

And I also drew a picture of myself drawing.

As I was drawing for a while, I was able to discover something black at the end of the pond.

At first I thought it was a stone.

But even if I moved my gaze and looked at it from a different direction, the black appearance did not change.

It was like a dot in thin air.

I picked up a branch that had fallen nearby and got up from my seat.

    My curiosity was unbearable.

I was careful not to wake up the two people who were sleeping, and slowly approached the blackness.

    Black wasn’t even an object.

It was just some kind of phenomenon.

    A dot in the air.

It felt as if someone had placed dots on a piece of paper with a pencil.

I threw some rocks that had fallen around at the black thing.

The stone flew away with a whoosh and disappeared into a black hole.

    “Gasp…”

I was startled by the sight and stepped back.

    This wasn’t an ordinary hole.

    But nothing happened.

I picked up a stone again and threw it at him.

Another stone flying away with a whoosh.

This time again, the black hole swallowed the stone.

    This time again, nothing happened.

I threw rocks several times while watching the scene.

Swish swish swish – When all the rocks that had fallen around had disappeared, I could notice the change.

    The hole had gotten bigger.

A feeling of inexplicable anxiety begins to rise.

I was startled and ran to the rock where Shine and Rain were sleeping.

    “Rain! Shine!”

    That was the moment.

    Kwajik-

I heard something breaking behind me.
