by adminThere has been a huge change in my routine.
The problem was that the training time was completely empty.
Victor and Amy were both busy with work, so they had a hard time spending time with Shine and me.
Even though Rain played with us for a while, it was only for a little while.
Shine and I couldn’t stand the boredom.
Sometimes I would leave the office and walk down an empty hallway.
A convenience store with its lights off, and a restaurant and a shelter.
Even the park where Jin’s beloved rabbits were located had completely disappeared.
I sat on the steps and looked up.
Now I know.
That’s why Jin installed the elevator.
The top floor of the stairs, a place I had never been before, was collapsed.
There was no way to get down or up the stairs any more.
“Jeff.”
“Yeah.”
It’s not like there weren’t any people at all.
But it was so much smaller than before that the empty space felt so big.
“Let’s go back.”
I stood at the end of the stairs and stared at the collapsed section for a long time.
The faint scent wafting in had a familiar smell for some reason.
“Yeah.”
I turned around without rejecting Shine’s hand that gently grabbed my arm.
As the two of us were walking down the stairs, we found a familiar brown skin at the end of the stairs.
It was a little boy named Allen, with long black hair braided in braids.
Allen was staggering up the stairs, carrying a large box in his arms.
The direction he’s heading now is covered in rubble from the collapsed stairs, making it impossible to climb any further. So why is he heading this way?
I stood there for a while, silently looking at him.
Allen’s gaze turned to me and Shine.
He put the box on the floor with a welcoming smile.
“Jeff! Shine!”
As always, Allen’s smile was refreshing.
It was like the wind in the forest.
The sparkling golden eyes showed no emotion whatsoever.
“Hello.”
I said hello to Allen.
Shine hasn’t greeted Allen yet, probably because she doesn’t like him.
I just stared at him without saying a word.
“What are you doing?”
Allen asked me and Shine.
But the one who wanted to ask was me.
What is he doing?
What was in the box he was holding in his hand?
“I was just bored so I was looking around.”
“Are you bored?”
“Yes.”
Allen laughed softly at my answer, sitting on the large box.
Hehehe, the laughter that flowed out brought the wind through the forest.
“Then how about going to my forest?”
“A forest?”
“Yeah. If you take the elevator, it’s on the top floor. ”
Allen answered my question by pointing his finger to the sky.
“I think it’ll be more fun than here at least.”
I nodded to his words.
I thought so too.
Rather than staying in this stuffy place, I thought it would be more fun to go out into the forest and play.
But Shine’s thoughts seemed to be different.
She grabbed my hand and started walking down the stairs.
I pretended not to win and followed her down the stairs.
Step by step, I go down the stairs and pass Allen.
He smiled at me until the end.
“Hey. What’s in that box?”
Before I got too far away from Allen, I grabbed Shine’s hand and stopped her, then asked Allen.
He said, gently tapping the box he was sitting on.
“Jin asked me to. Clean those up. They’re the guys I need for that.”
Allen said, pointing to the remains of the stairs spread out behind him.
I became interested.
How does he get rid of them?
I winked at Shine and told her I wanted to see it.
Shine, who had caught my gaze, thought for a while and then nodded slightly.
As he hugged my body tightly, it seemed like he was telling me not to come closer.
I smiled awkwardly at Shine’s appearance.
“Want to take a look?”
“Yes.”
Allen nodded at my answer and stood up.
He headed further up, still holding the large box in his arms like before.
Where the stairs collapsed, where you couldn’t see above.
He put the box down in front of him and opened its lid.
As the lid opened, the thick smell of the forest filled the place.
A strong, refreshing scent.
I stared blankly at the sight.
Allen took a small branch out of the box and held it out in front of him.
At the same time, a golden current slowly flowed out from Allen’s body.
The branches began to grow.
Slowly, very slowly.
The leaves are lush and the branches are thicker and stronger.
The tree branch that stretched out was no longer a small branch.
The tree stretched forward and dug into the remains of the collapsed stairs.
Starting from small branches, the trunks dug into the debris and began to grow larger.
It was at that moment that the golden current flowing out of Allen’s body grew larger.
KURRUNG – A small noise shook the entire building.
I looked at the remains of the stairs with anxious eyes.
The large branch began to push away all the debris on the stairs that were blocking it.
As if to fill the void, trees began to grow and form stairs.
The tree that had been pushing the fallen debris stopped at some point.
The leaves fluttering around in abundance swayed downwards in the slight breeze.
“That’s it for today.”
With those words, Allen stuck the branch he was holding into the ground.
Then, the trees supporting the surrounding area began to move all at once and became more solid.
“How about it? Do you want to go play in the forest?”
Allen looked back and asked us.
“I’m going to get in trouble with Amy.”
I answered Allen’s question and went down the stairs with Shine.
“Does Shine hate Allen?”
“I hate it.”
“Why?”
“I just hate it.”
I kept my mouth shut at Shine’s words.
What can I do if he just says he doesn’t like it?
There may be things you dislike for no reason.
I, too, sometimes find myself disliking the politicians I see on television.
When Shine and I returned to the office, Amy and Victor were not there.
Only Rain was left alone, taking a nap under a blanket on the sofa.
I walked closer to Lane and poked her cheek.
“Rain. Rain.”
Rain’s face, sleeping with a relaxed expression.
As I poke her cheek, Lane’s expression frowns.
She pursed her lips and covered her cheek with her hand.
“Rain.”
Kuck kuck – I tried poking the other cheek this time.
The feeling of my soft cheeks sinking in as I poked them was so good.
This time, Rain covered his cheek with his other hand.
Rain sleeps with her cheeks held between her palms.
This time I pressed my lips hard.
Her red lips, even more luscious than her cheeks, were furrowed in confusion.
That was when.
Rain, who had been frowning, opened his mouth wide and bit my finger in his mouth.
It happened so suddenly that I couldn’t even panic, so I just opened my mouth in a daze. Then, Rain’s tongue started tasting my fingers here and there.
Judging by the crunching sound she made, it seemed like she was eating candy in her dream.
“Jeff?”
While I was paused like that, Shine came over and called my name.
I was so surprised by that that I took my finger out of Rain’s mouth.
Rain was sucking so hard that the moment his finger pulled out, a slurp sound was heard and a long stream of saliva fell out.
I quickly wiped the sticky saliva off my clothes.
“I think Rain is sleeping.”
Shine approached Rain at my words.
Lane was smiling happily, caressing both of her cheeks.
I wrapped my fingers around Rain’s sucked finger and sniffed Shine secretly.
There was a strong smell of bubble gum.
It seemed like she was chewing bubble gum before going to bed.
Shine began to wake up Rain.
I left the two behind and headed towards Lane’s desk.
It was to find the bubble gum she had eaten.
On Lane’s desk sat a sagging bag of chicks.
I put my hand into the chick’s mouth and rummaged around inside.
Candy, chocolate, and jelly. Unidentifiable pieces of paper tangled with my fingers.
Lane’s bag was full of nothing but food.
The paper was bubble gum paper.
I took out a perfectly good piece of gum and put it in my mouth, then closed Lane’s bag tightly and placed it neatly on one side of her desk.
There, Shine’s dinosaur bag and I sat back to back.
“Ouch!”
Lane jumped up from the sofa with a short scream.
Shine was looking at her shiny fingers with a disgusted expression.
It looked like Shine’s fingers were being sucked like candy.
Shine took a handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped his fingers.
Rain was still half-asleep, caressing his cheek roughly.
“Rain.”
I walked over to Lane and sat down next to her.
The soft sofa was warm, perhaps because Rain was lying on it.
“Jeff. Shine. When did you get here?”
“Just now. But where did Victor and Amy go?”
“Ugh… I said I was going to see Jinhan for a bit.”
Rain answered my question with a roll of his eyes.
It seemed that Victor and Amy left shortly after we left the office, as Shine and I hadn’t been away for very long.
That being said, it seems like Rain chose to take a nap during that short period of time.
Rain folded the blanket he had been covering himself with and held it in his arms.
“Rain.”
“Huh?”
“Shall we go play in the forest?”
“Forest?”
I nodded to Lane, who was asking back.
Earlier, it was just me and Shine, so we didn’t follow Allen into the forest, but if we had an adult like Lane with us, Amy would definitely allow us to go into the forest.
“Hmm… Is that so?”
Rain’s eyes sparkled as he listened to what I had to say, perhaps because he was bored.
I started packing my bag right away after seeing her reaction.
A sketchbook, crayons, colored pencils, and a small notebook.
And even the bear paw-shaped Mia button that Amy gave me a while ago.
The preparation was perfect.
“Are the three of you going together?”
Shine looked at me and asked.
I nodded and put my bag on my back.
“Okay then.”
Shine and Rain started packing their bags at the same time.
Rain packed a lot of food into his bag, and Shine borrowed Victor’s drinks from the fridge and filled her bag.
The carbonated soft drink with a large M logo on a white background was Victor’s favorite drink.
I walked up to the whiteboard hanging on the office wall and left a large message.
I’m going to the forest.
-Jeff-
At this point, it was clear that Amy wouldn’t have to worry.
After leaving the message, I immediately left the office.
