Chapter Index

    “Yawn.”

Cheon Soyul yawned, covering her mouth, as she trailed behind Lee Hyunjin and Ryu Seeun. She kept a bit of distance, feeling a considerable amount of fatigue.

She had thought she slept enough on the train, but it seemed she hadn’t.

Moreover, unlike Ryu Seeun, who was thrilled to be back at a base almost like her home, and Lee Hyunjin, who had taken an interest in the Border Defense Unit itself, Cheon Soyul had no great interest in this land of Cheorwon…

Strictly speaking, she had simply trotted along after Lee Hyunjin, without any particular sense of duty.

Wouldn’t Lee Hyunjin and Ryu Seeun naturally handle Black Heaven’s persuasion anyway?

Honestly, Cheon Soyul, who had no resistance to the cold, found this Gangwon Province land simply uncomfortable.

‘At least it’s somewhat decent inside.’

The fact that the building’s heating system was working properly was at least some comfort. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have even considered staying here.

    “Whew.”

Cheon Soyul stretched lightly and looked at the two ahead of her in the distance.

Ryu Seeun excitedly introducing various places, and Lee Hyunjin, following her, equally intrigued as he looked around the building.

Thinking how well they got along, Cheon Soyul let out a chuckle. While she had complicated feelings about Lee Hyunjin dating many women…

That first-year top junior, like Baek Ayun, was one of the few people she held in high regard.

Perhaps it was because they were from the same academy. Even the very threatening succubus, Kanzaki Rie, was seen as not bad by Cheon Soyul.

    “I’m really too soft, aren’t I…?”

Cheon Soyul muttered with a bitter smile. Honestly, shouldn’t she be stopping whoever approaches him?

She was aware that a typical fiancée would certainly do so.

Nevertheless, the reason she tolerated Lee Hyunjin’s philandering… Well, there were many diverse and complex reasons.

    “…Ahem.”

One definite and significant reason lay in her own tendencies.

Cheon Soyul still refused to admit that she felt a strange sense of immorality and pleasure from ‘her boyfriend engaging in physical intimacy with other women.’

All of that was a lie. A temporary falsehood, not the truth, concocted to persuade Lee Hyunjin’s mother.

Cheon Soyul truly believed that and nodded her head repeatedly. Of course, that was it.

    -Ah!

It was then. Suddenly, an utterly strange, and perhaps even sensual, soprano voice faintly reached her ears.

    “Huh…?”

Cheon Soyul, who had been walking slowly, blinked. She paused, standing still, and gently looked around. Had she misheard?

    -Darling, ah, wait! Go easy.

    “……”

No. It was neither a mistake nor a halluc; this was clearly a real voice.

Cheon Soyul’s face instantly flushed crimson as she turned her head sideways.

    [Pantry]

A simple sign, but what was happening inside seemed to be anything but coffee-making.

She felt like she shouldn’t go closer, but Cheon Soyul couldn’t suppress her curiosity.

    Gulp-

Swallowing nervously, she walked slowly to the pantry door.

The door had a translucent sheet covering part of its surface.

It was blurry, but an Awakener’s enhanced vision could certainly peer through. Cheon Soyul felt her fingertips and toes curl for some reason, and she subtly narrowed one eye.

    ‘J-just a little peek. Just a little.’

Perhaps something was wrong. With that convenient excuse, Cheon Soyul pressed her head closer to the door—

    “What are you doing?”

    “…Eek!”

She let out an involuntary shriek at Lee Hyunjin’s voice, which had suddenly echoed by her ear.

It wasn’t a very loud noise, but the problem was what came next. Cheon Soyul stumbled.

    Click!

    “Ah…?!”

And to steady her swaying body, what she happened to grab was, of all things, the pantry doorknob. Cheon Soyul felt incredibly unlucky.

But, regardless of her feelings, the door swung wide open.

    Thump!!

Accompanied by the sound of the opposite doorknob roughly hitting the wall, the entire scene inside the pantry was revealed with startling clarity.

A man and a woman, half-perched on a table, their military uniforms discarded, their bodies pressed against each other.

    “…Ah.”

    “Ah.”

All four individuals, including Cheon Soyul and Lee Hyunjin, let out a simultaneous gasp.

They looked to be in their mid-twenties at most. The first to regain composure was the naked woman.

    “G-get off! Hey!”

    “What? *Gasp*.”

She swiftly pushed away the man who was leaning on her. Judging by the clean strike, she was likely a close-combat Awakener.

Cheon Soyul, though pondering such bewildered thoughts, couldn’t regain her composure.

Cheon Soyul prided herself on having frequently engaged in physical intimacy with Lee Hyunjin, and having already experienced various promiscuous acts, including orgies.

However, even she had never witnessed strangers engaging in sexual activity before.

It was shocking, yes, but was it a shock in a bad sense? Well…

    “…Ngh…”

Unaware, Cheon Soyul unconsciously twisted her legs, then felt her lower abdomen subtly tremor and was startled.

Was she… aroused? By watching those people have sex, surely not?

    ‘Oh no.’

Cheon Soyul wore a troubled face, feeling quite complicated. She knew. This state wouldn’t be easily resolved.

She could try to endure it, but for a definitive solution, sexual activity was required.

Whether that meant sleeping with Lee Hyunjin, or simply covering herself with a blanket and stickily rubbing between her legs alone…

All of this was due to excessive libido, which had developed from her past with Lee Hyunjin.

Just as Cheon Soyul, hastily clasping her hands behind her back to prevent herself from putting a hand under her skirt, was practically steaming from her head,

“…What exactly is going on here?”

A low, sinking voice echoed. It was Ryu Seeun’s voice, who had noticed Lee Hyunjin and Cheon Soyul’s absence and approached from behind.

    “Gasp.”

    “…Ah, young lady. Well.”

The faces of the two individuals, who appeared to be members of the Border Defense Unit, instantly paled.

Ryu Seeun looked down at them with cold eyes and entered the pantry.

“Hana Unnie, and Junwoo Oppa. What exactly are you doing in the pantry?”

She murmured softly. Despite being addressed with familiar honorifics, Shin Hana and Park Joonwoo trembled violently.

And that trembling wasn’t solely because they were naked.

Ryu Seeun’s violet-hued eyes began to flicker black. She clenched her fist, as if expressing how truly angry she was.

Then, pulling the corner of her lips into a sneer, she spoke to Shin Hana and Park Joonwoo.

“Do you want to put on your clothes and pick up your gear right now? Or should I report this directly to Father?”

It was less a choice and more a command. Shin Hana instantly closed her eyes tightly and shouted,

    “I’ll choose the former!”

Park Joonwoo was already scrambling to put on his clothes. Soon, the two scurried away before they could be caught again, and Ryu Seeun sighed.

Perhaps because it was a mixed-gender military unit isolated from the world, such incidents occurred occasionally.

Human sexual desire was something that couldn’t be helped, and if anything, Ryu Seeun was more lenient than Jung Yiseo.

But why did it have to happen just when guests were visiting?

    ‘How embarrassing, really.’

Ryu Seeun swept her hand over her face for a moment, then turned around with an awkward smile.

“You must be very flustered, right? I apologize for my unit members’ disgraceful behavior—”

And she tried to naturally lighten the mood, but then…

    “…What?”

The two people who should have been behind her, Lee Hyunjin and Cheon Soyul, had vanished without a sound.

    Ryu Seeun blinked blankly.

“Where did they go, these people?”

Ryu Seeun, scratching her cheek as she headed into the hallway to find them, didn’t notice the door of an empty room in her blind spot slightly opening and closing.

    *****

    ‘What was that?’

Cold sweat trickled down me. This situation that had just unfolded, even for me, was impossible to accept calmly.

    ‘What the hell.’

I felt a little dizzy. To reiterate, I couldn’t understand the situation.

    “Pant, pant…”

Before my eyes was Cheon Soyul. Just as the two Border Defense Unit members left the pantry, she had suddenly grabbed my neck and pulled me.

And then, in that empty room that looked like a storage closet, she had pushed me down—

    “Haa, uhh.”

That very Cheon Soyul, panting heavily, forcefully pulled my wrist.

I couldn’t stop my fingers from entering her underwear.
