Chapter Index

I didn’t want to pay attention.

Today, as part of that, I was just thinking about watching a movie alone in peace.

Although it caught my eye before entering the theater, I thought there wouldn’t be any problem when watching the movie.

    However.

    However!

“But have you seen the prequel?”

“No, I haven’t. Isn’t it just a mindless action movie?”

    “That’s true.”

    ‘…Why the back row?’

Minjuhee wrapped her head with her hands at the voices of two people making a ruckus behind her.

Since there weren’t many people around, and the surrounding seats were empty, she could easily get caught if she made a mistake.

With her lips tightly sealed, Minjuhee intentionally sat leaning back, trying not to attract any unnecessary attention.

‘Ah, but the movie will be watched quietly anyway.’

It was a complicated situation, but once the movie started, she wouldn’t have to worry about those two.

Believing so, Minjuhee began watching the advertisements before the movie started.

    “Huh?!”

    A groan came from behind.

Startled, Minjuhee’s eyes widened for a moment, and her head instinctively turned slightly backward.

    “Ah, uhh!”

Though they tried to stifle the sound, Yoorin’s groans were unmistakable.

    ‘These crazy people!’

Even if there were no people around, what were they thinking doing such things here without any warning!

She wanted to stand up immediately and say something, but…

    “Feeling good?”

    “Y-yeah.”

Hearing the muffled voice of Kim Woojin and Yoorin trying to endure, Minjuhee abruptly stopped in her tracks.

    The groans continued.

In Minjuhee’s mind, the image of the back seat partners started to form naturally.

Kim Woojin, somewhat forcefully, putting his hand on Yoorin’s lower body and moving it like handling a toy.

And despite Yoorin verbally resisting, her body was responding differently.

    ‘Crazy!

    Her head spun, feeling flushed.

She knew this was wrong, but the hand resting on the armrest seemed to move down to her lower body involuntarily.

Yoorin’s groans were strange, and Kim Woojin was taking advantage of her.

    If it were her…

    Could she push him away?

As these thoughts flooded her mind, her hand involuntarily moved downwards.

    “Wow, you’re good at massaging?”

Yoorin’s words broke the tension in Minjuhee’s body.

“Yeah? I learned from YouTube. I got massages on my hands and feet, I’ll do the feet later.”

“These days, I learn everything from YouTube. The massage felt really refreshing.”

“Really? They said I did well.”

    “Yeah, you did… well?”

    ‘Oh, come on.’

    It was a massage?

How could someone make such comments about a simple massage being refreshing.

    ‘Ugh, Minjuhee, get yourself together.’

Slapping her own head lightly, Minjuhee took a sip of cola and decided to focus on the movie that was about to start.

“Who did you do it to, you jerk?”

“I’m exercising my right to remain silent.”

“Come out for a moment. We shouldn’t let screams be heard by people around us for no reason.”

    “…Choi Yiseo.”

There seemed to be a slight argument happening behind her, but that was all.

    * * *

The best part about starting a new semester was being able to rearrange your timetable.

“I’m finally free from those boring five-hour breaks.”

A smile crept onto her face as she looked at the normal timetable displayed on her phone.

Although registering for classes was a bit of a hassle, she was proud of the satisfying results.

    “One iced Americano, please.”

    “Yes, one iced Americano.”

Ordering coffee at the café inside the school, she stretched.

The relaxation seeping into her body despite the start of classes.

    I guess I’m a sophomore now too.

Living in the dormitory wasn’t as bad as she thought.

She had expected to get along effortlessly with the other dorm residents, but surprisingly, there were many who subtly drew lines.

Well, sometimes it gets really noisy. There are scenes you shouldn’t watch.

‘Everything’s fine. But it feels like living in a school dorm.’

It’s not wrong to say that since I’m a dorm student.

Without plans, I either eat alone in the cafeteria or grab something at the convenience store.

Since I have a laptop at home, unless there’s a special situation, there’s no reason to go to a PC bang.

Sometimes it’s frustrating not to leave school.

    “Hmm?”

In that moment, my eyes fell on the four people sitting in the corner.

One of them was Choi Yiseo.

Although she said she would stop, she seemed to be taking on more responsibilities again, and next to her was Bugwade An Hyunho.

On the opposite side, two people who looked like first-year students were sitting.

‘Those two must be first-year representatives and vice-representatives.’

Perhaps Choi Yiseo and An Hyunho were briefly explaining the roles of the representatives while also giving advice.

    “An iced Americano for you.”

    “Yes, thank you.”

I received the coffee, inserted a straw, and took a sip.

Looking back at the other table, the two were still happily explaining things.

Caught up in a strange mix of emotions, I found myself walking towards them.

    “What are you doing?”

Even though I suddenly approached the table, Choi Yiseo, upon seeing me, smiled softly and replied.

“I’m helping the first-year representatives and vice-representatives. They might be confused at first.”

    “Like giving advice?”

    “That’s right.”

Glancing at the first-year students, the two of them nodded to me in greeting.

“Hello, I’m Kim Gyua, the first-year representative.”

    “I’m Han Minseop, the vice-representative.”

    “Hello. I’m Kim Woojin, a second-year student.”

Here too, a girl was the representative and a boy was the vice-representative. Surprisingly, they gave off a similar vibe to Choi Yiseo and An Hyunho.

    “…What do you want?”

Finally, An Hyunho, who had been glaring at me the whole time, spoke up.

It seemed like he wanted me to leave if I had no business here.

“I don’t have any business. Just bored. Is it okay if I hang around and listen?”

    “Get lost.”

    He immediately cursed at me.

It seemed like he didn’t want me to intrude on his rare time with Choi Yiseo.

Sorry, but I have no intention of leaving.

    However…

“People might feel uncomfortable, so joining might not be a good idea.”

    As expected of Choi Yiseo.

Since the boundaries between work and personal life were clearly set, I eventually had to step back, and An Hyunho’s expression softened.

“It’ll be over soon, so wait at the nearby table. Have you had dinner?”

    “Not yet.”

    “Okay, let’s have dinner together.”

    An Hyunho’s expression changed.

Just a moment ago, I mentioned being bored in the dorm, and now I had made dinner plans.

It seemed like he was about to suggest having dinner separately, but I decided to sit at a nearby table, wearing a satisfied smile.

    – An Hyunho: Why are you interfering?

A text came directly to me.

    – Kim Woojin: Interfering? What interference?

    – An Hyunho: You bastard. Weren’t you dating Yerin?

    – Kim Woojin: You’re meeting Han River seniors too. Why are you still interested in Yiseohan?

    – An Hyunho: …Woojin, I mean he’s a guy.

Although messages kept coming, most of it was nonsense, so I just ignored them.

Honestly, even though it felt questionable, I acted according to my feelings.

About 10 minutes later, Choi Yiseo approached me with a smile.

“Let’s go. Since it’s a bit early for dinner, let’s go to the gym and work out.”

“W-wait, that wasn’t part of the plan.”

“I heard drinking coffee while working out can have an awakening effect and is good.”

Surprisingly, there were many people at the gym drinking coffee.

    “Let’s go, okay?”

Grabbing my arm, Choi Yiseo led me away.

As we passed by the table from earlier, where the first-year representatives, vice-representatives, and An Hyunho were looking at us, she paid no attention.

    ‘She’s quite bold.’

The first-year students will soon find out that I don’t have a good reputation in the department.

    No, I might already know.

When Kim Woo-jin was introduced earlier, the expressions darkened slightly.

Anyway, casually linking arms and walking, it seems like he’s the type who doesn’t really care about others’ opinions.

“Isn’t there some bad rumors going around even among the first-year students for no reason?”

Having successfully revamped his image at the festival, the second-year students didn’t look at him too badly, but…

The third and fourth years are still filled with people who dislike me.

    “What does that matter, though.”

But Choi Yiseo whispered while gripping my arm tighter.

    “You’re even jealous like this.”

    “It’s not jealously.”

“Heh, were you worried because I was with Hyeon-ho?”

    “….”

    It’s not a wrong statement.

If it were the original me, I would have just gone on my way drinking coffee, but this time, I couldn’t just let it go.

“I know it’s a bit awkward for me to say this, but Ahn Hyeon-ho spent the vacation meeting a lot of girls with his older friends.”

“That’s not something you should be saying, right?”

    “….”

I tried my hand at political maneuvering in my own way, only to face immediate retaliation.

“Let’s go sweat it out at the gym and then grab dinner.”

“Fine, let’s go. Show me the stamina you’ve built up through home training.”

“Huh? Are you still doing that? It’s been quite a while, hasn’t it?”

As she mumbled, Choi Yiseo suddenly stopped walking and stood in front of me.

    “What are you doing?”

She reached out to touch my chest or pat my stomach, engaging in peculiar actions.

    “Hmm, hmm.”

Choi Yiseo, with her chin resting on her hand, her mouth slightly upturned.

After letting out a strange chuckle, she stood back beside me with a satisfied expression.

“It seems like my body has improved a bit.”

“Really? I’ve been diligently exercising at home since I had nothing else to do.”

“Hmm, what should we have for dinner?”

“It’s been a while since we had pork belly. How about that countryside-style pork belly dish?”

Upon my suggestion, Choi Yiseo pursed her lips and proposed something else.

“Why don’t I cook pork belly at home instead?”

“You? No, it’s fine, it’s bothersome. If you don’t want pork belly, we can have something else. Tonkatsu?”

    “Let’s order tonkatsu then.”

“What should we order? How much is the delivery fee? The gym and the tonkatsu place aren’t that far apart.”

    Is tonkatsu not good either?

“Or do you want something else? As long as it’s not a salad place, anything is fine.”

“Minji and I cooked some meat yesterday and there’s some left. Let’s go eat that together.”

    “Bossam? That’s random.”

But well, it’s meat, so it’s good.

“Okay, let’s go. We decided to go to the gym anyway.”

I should probably get a monthly pass there. Since I work out at home, I’ve been too stuck in a school-centric lifestyle.

I need to get out to go to the gym.

I heard that Seo Ye-rin also works out there, so it might be nice to go together sometimes when bored.

    Hm.

But Choi Yiseo tugging at my clothes.

Thinking it was something, she turned her head slightly in embarrassment and muttered.

    “L-let’s just go eat.”

“Why? We said we’d work out. I also want to show off the results of my home training.”

“N-no… Exercising is, you know, tough.”

“What are you saying? You exercise because it’s tough.”

I wondered why she suddenly acted like this.

Even if I wanted to ask if she ate something wrong, she didn’t eat anything separately.

Continuously glancing around, Choi Yiseo eventually approached and whispered in my ear.

    “M-Minji isn’t home today.”

    “….”

    Ah.

    I see.

“It must be tough to exercise.”

I shouldn’t waste my energy elsewhere.

Now I understood Choi Yiseo’s words about going to eat, heading back to her place.

    “…Choi Yiseo is quite naughty.”

    My true feelings slipped out.

    “S-shut up!”

Despite being embarrassed, Choi Yiseo immediately hit my back, but such actions only made her seem cute.

“The quiet cat goes up the stove first. Choi Yiseo is just in heat.”

“Just go to the gym! I’ll let you go home early today!”

“Yeah, I won’t go. Today’s workout starts at night. Resting is for Choi Yiseo.”

With a flushed face, he runs away from her charging towards him.

He was caught soon after, as expected.

“But why did you suggest going to the gym if you were going to do this?”

As we stepped outside of school, I asked Choi Iseo, who was already visibly annoyed, but she just turned her head without responding.

“Fine. Cancel it if you’re in heat.”

    “I’m not!”

“Then why are you angry? Because I called you a seductive woman in broad daylight? Or said you got horny from touching a man’s body?”

“Geez! You knew all along and still asked!”

    How could I not know?

Since she touched me earlier, her behavior and tone had subtly changed.

Choi Iseo started fidgeting again to hide her embarrassment.

“Kim Woojin is out of line. Trying to seduce women with his body… Wait! Don’t hit- Ouch! Wait! It really hurts!”

Her hand was so strong that she winced in pain from the punch to her back.

    “Kim Woojin is annoying.”

Dragging me by my hair while crouching, Choi Iseo led the way.

It was a strange sight, but for now, we were going together.

A striking car attracting people’s attention in front of the school came to greet us.

    A deep red sports car.

It exuded an extraordinary aura that seemed unwelcoming even from a distance.

It had the effect of dispersing the university students working part-time.

A woman stood leaning on the high-end sports car.

Her wavy hair dyed the same deep red as the car.

Wearing sunglasses, she waved at me with a smile.

    “Kim Woojin!”

At the call of my ex-girlfriend Oh Yoonji, I involuntarily flinched.

Seeing Oh Yoonji, Choi Iseo quietly let go of me.

    “What, you’re with Iseo?”

Even though I came with Choi Iseo, she approached nonchalantly, smiling and pointing at the car.

“Do you have plans? If it’s okay, can I take Woojin for a bit?”

    “…Where are you going?”

“Just for a drive? That’s Woojin’s dream car.”

    “Really?”

At the surprised shout, both of their gazes turned to me.

It was a new sound to me.

I did have some interest in cars.

I mean, I had to look it up myself if I was interested enough to find out about the car.

But did I ever mention a dream car?

“Yeah, I mentioned it as a dream car. I said I wanted to drive that kind of car when we go for a drive together in the future, remember?”

    “Oh.”

    I remembered.

I recalled Kim Woojin back then, hitting my forehead.

    The reason was absurd.

“When it comes to sports cars, it looked spacious. It would be great for car se-.”

“Hey hey hey! Why bring up old stuff!”

Frantically covering Oh Yoonji’s mouth, Choi Iseo’s icy gaze was already fixed on me.

“Anyway, let’s go for a drive together. I don’t want to dwell on the past, I want to talk about the future.”

Casually linking arms with Oh Yoonji, her rose scent felt like pheromones scattering, making my body warm instantly.

“Iseo, can you give in a bit? I paid you well for your part-time job.”

Oh Yoonji trying to drag me along.

Naturally, I resisted, but surprisingly, she was strong, leading to a struggle.

    “Come on! Let’s go!”

“I don’t want to! I’ve already forgotten about that! Who are you?”

“Who said you were my ex-girlfriend? Let’s just start as friends again! My husband!”

“Then why do you call me your husband if we’re starting over?”

    “It’s just a habit!”

“Shut up! Don’t call me that!”

“Honey, don’t you like car se-? Want to try it out? Let’s go?”

    “No! I won’t do it!”

“But you relax every time you mention car se-.”

    “…No, I don’t.”

Amidst the tug-of-war-like situation repeating itself.

    “Let’s go.”

    Choi Iseo intervened.

    “Instead, I’ll come along.”
