Chapter Index

“Chaerin, what do you think about letting Jihoon meet her?”

Kang Yiseo suggested this as a way to relieve An Chaerin’s stress and fatigue.

It was so unexpected from Park Yuna’s perspective that she stopped in her tracks and asked, “Jihoon? You mean… you literally just want them to meet once?”

“No, I was thinking of introducing them as a potential couple.”

    “What? As a couple?”

“We talked about it before, right? You said you feel magically better after being with Jihoon. Wouldn’t Chaerin’s stress and fatigue be relieved if she were with Jihoon too?”

“Wait, are you saying we should hook them up?!”

    Park Yuna looked utterly shocked.

Kang Yiseo, as if anticipating the reaction, calmly replied, “Not exactly hook them up, but create a possibility? Think about it, Yuna. Is there any guarantee that Jihoon won’t bring another woman besides us and Mom?”

“Well… honestly, there isn’t, is there? He’s already made three girlfriends.”

“Right? Of course, it would be best if it didn’t increase from here, but there’s no guarantee, and we’ve decided to accept whatever Jihoon really wants.”

Park Yuna nodded, agreeing. Her sister continued, “If the number of women is going to increase, we want to avoid strange women, right? For Jihoon’s sake, and for our and Mom’s sake too.”

“That’s true. It would be a bit… scary if she was someone scary.”

“Wouldn’t Chaerin be alright? Since we know her and she’s trustworthy.”

    “Chaerin would be perfect!”

As Kang Yiseo said, if Han Jihoon’s new girlfriend was An Chaerin, Park Yuna could rest assured.

However, she still had a question.

“But will it work out just because we introduce them? Chaerin is super pretty, but she might not be Jihoon’s type.”

“That’s why I said let’s create a possibility, not hook them up.”

    “How?”

“Remember what Chaerin said today? She said she needs to hire a part-timer for the office.”

    “Yes, I remember.”

    “So…”

Kang Yiseo’s suggestion was to recommend Han Jihoon, who was on vacation, for that part-time position.

The intention was to have him go to the office as a part-timer and encounter An Chaerin.

If Han Jihoon liked An Chaerin, he would obviously approach her on his own.

“But, if he doesn’t feel anything for Chaerin?”

“Then nothing will happen. If Jihoon has no intention of increasing the number of women anymore, that would be welcome news for us. And even if nothing happens, it would still benefit Jihoon, right?”

    “Why would it?”

“Jihoon’s dream is to become a game review YouTuber. If he works at an MCN, he can learn various things related to YouTube, so it’s a benefit.”

    “Oh, that’s right?!”

    Park Yuna, impressed, clapped lightly.

If Han Jihoon and An Chaerin connected, An Chaerin could relieve her stress and fatigue, and Park Yuna could become closer to the sister she admired.

Even if they didn’t connect, it wouldn’t be bad, and it would actually help Han Jihoon’s career, so there was no reason to object.

    “I think it’s a good idea!”

“So you agree? I’ll ask Mom when we get home, and if Mom agrees too, I’ll talk to Chaerin and Jihoon.”

“Now I’m even trying to introduce Jihoon to another woman. It’s my fault for dating a boyfriend with many affairs, I guess.”

Kang Yiseo, as if finally reaching a state of enlightenment, muttered inwardly.

With the opinions of the two lovers gathered, they discussed what would happen when Han Jihoon started working and returned home.

    ===

With the final exams over and the vacation beginning, my mind couldn’t be more relaxed.

I need to make lots of memories with my lovers until the second semester starts.

Of course, as I’ve decided on a career as a game review creator, I plan to work harder on managing my YouTube channel during the vacation.

And coincidentally, an event that would help with my plans occurred.

Two days ago, Yiseo asked if I would be interested in working part-time at the MCN she belongs to.

    Of course, I said yes.

Sand Fox Entertainment isn’t a small MCN, and if I work there, I can learn a lot about channel management.

If things go well and my channel gets contracted, that would be the best thing ever… but if I expect too much, I’ll be disappointed, so I shouldn’t go that far.

    “Is this it?”

A little after six in the evening, I arrived in front of the Sand Fox Entertainment office.

To attend an interview as a part-time applicant.

“I wonder what the CEO is like.”

Yuna said she’s a really cool older woman, so I’m even more curious and nervous.

Perhaps because they were expecting me, I passed through the already open office door and went inside.

    “Excuse me…”

The office was empty, as if all the employees had left, so I became careful without realizing it.

    That was when.

    “Ah, just a moment.”

A woman’s voice came from beyond the tall partition.

Soon, the owner of that voice appeared.

    “Wow…”

Her hair, long enough to pass her waist, was so beautiful that admiration rose from my heart.

Despite her somewhat sharp eyes, her large eyes gave her a calm impression.

Her figure, which filled out a plain white blouse and pencil skirt, couldn’t hide her voluptuous figure.

It was as if a beautiful female boss from a work of fiction had been transported into reality.

    “What brings you here?”

The other person asked with a faint smile on her face.

Even knowing it was a social smile, it was hard to take my eyes off her.

“Yes? Ah. I’m here for a part-time job through Yiseo.”

    “Your name?”

    “Han Jihoon.”

“Yes, that’s right. I asked just in case. We have to check every time in case a strange person invades.”

    “Ah, yes.”

“Please, sit down. Do you want coffee?”

    “No, thank you.”

Politely declining, I sat down at the table in the middle of the office, and the other person sat across from me and opened her mouth.

“Sorry for calling you at this time. I was a bit busy today.”

“It doesn’t matter. I have plenty of time.”

“Then shall we have a brief chat? First, I’m An Chaerin, and I’m the CEO of Sand Fox here. Jihoon, you’re still a student, right? Vacation has started now?”

Perhaps because she was the president of a company, there was no hesitation or timidity in each of her words.

“Yes. I heard you were looking for a short-term part-timer… or not?”

“Not really, but Yiseo asked me to see you.”

    “Ah…”

“If you work here, you’ll be assisting with office work. You might be doing paperwork, answering phones, and doing some miscellaneous tasks. The workload isn’t heavy to begin with, and we’re hiring a part-timer to make things easier for the employees, so you don’t have to worry too much.”

    “Yes, I understand.”

As I nodded and replied, the other person continued.

“I heard from Yiseo that you’re running a YouTube channel related to games, is it just a hobby?”

“At first, it was a hobby, but it seems to suit me well, so I’m thinking of going in that direction.”

“That’s great. As I said earlier, the workload isn’t heavy, so you can learn about channel management while watching over my shoulder. You’re working part-time to earn money, but it’s even better if you learn other things during that time, right?”

    “Thank you, CEO.”

“The workdays are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, three days a week. You’ll come in at 9 a.m. and leave at 6 p.m. You can come in tomorrow and check the details on this contract.”

    “Yes.”

    ‘It’s going smoother than expected.’

Feeling much more at ease, I read the contract that the CEO gave me.

‘Wow, what? 15,000 won per hour?’

The hourly wage is high for an office assistant part-time job.

The workload isn’t even heavy, so it’s a total steal.

There were no other problematic details, so I immediately picked up a pen.

    “Can I sign it?”

    “Yes. Ah, before that.”

    “Yes?”

    “Jihoon. You’re dating Yiseo, right?”

I was momentarily taken aback by the unexpected question.

I was trying to pretend otherwise because I was worried that Yiseo would be in trouble, but it seemed she had told the CEO first.

From the fact that Yuna wasn’t mentioned, it seemed that my relationship with Yuna wasn’t necessarily known.

    “Ah… yes.”

“Originally, there were only female employees in this office, and I wasn’t planning on hiring any men in the future to prevent any unexpected problems, whether it be affairs or sexual harassment.”

    “…”

“But I said okay because Yiseo asked me to, since Jihoon’s dream is to be a YouTuber. I’m close to Yiseo, and she’s helped me a lot when I was going through a hard time.”

I thought she had just recommended me because there was an opening, but I didn’t know that Yiseo had asked her directly for my sake.

I should repay her somehow next time.

But the fact that the CEO is saying this with such a serious face is really intimidating.

“So please take good care of her for two months so that Yiseo’s position isn’t compromised. Got it?”

    “…Yes. I will work hard.”

“You don’t have to feel too pressured. There’s nothing difficult about the work, just be diligent. Okay?”

A smile reappears on the other person’s face, which had been serious.

I signed the contract and quietly thought to myself.

This person doesn’t seem like an easy woman.

    ===

    “Phew.”

An Chaerin, who was tidying up the office alone, let out a light sigh.

Now was the time to leave work and rest her tired body.

Even as she turned off the lights and locked the door, her mind was thinking about the part-time applicant who had come earlier.

    ‘Will it be okay…?’

An Chaerin had limited the company’s employees to women.

Because having both male and female employees could cause unexpected problems, whether it be romantic problems or sexual harassment.

Nevertheless, the reason she hired Han Jihoon as a part-timer was, as she had told him, because of Kang Yiseo’s request, who was a close friend.

‘…Right. He’s dating Yiseo, so will he care about other women? If he’s a normal person, he won’t hit on other employees and just work.’

Of course, there is no guarantee that he is a normal person.

But if Han Jihoon was a man born with a wandering spirit, Kang Yiseo wouldn’t continue to date such a man.

‘He’ll only be here for two months, so there won’t be any problems. And Yiseo recommended him, not someone else. Let’s trust Yiseo.’

With that, she reassured herself and left the office building.

Her car was in the shop for repairs, so she called a taxi and waited. Then, a familiar voice was heard from somewhere.

    “Oh, Yuna.”

Turning her head, she saw Han Jihoon.

He was just coming out of the convenience store and talking to someone without noticing her.

The fact that a woman’s name other than Kang Yiseo’s came out of his mouth made her nervous, and while waiting for the taxi, An Chaerin’s ears were focused on his voice.

‘Is it another close female friend besides Yiseo? But there’s a Yuna in our company too.’

“Yeah. I just came back from an interview at Sand Fox. …I know. The CEO was really pretty.”

    ‘What? It’s our company’s Yuna?’

He is unusual because he is friends with two streamers in his company, and in a relationship with one of them.

Just as An Chaerin was amazed in her heart, words that shocked her even more came to her ears.

“You want to go on a date? Okay. Where should we go?”
