Chapter Index

-Today is expected to be a fairly dry day due to the hot weather. It looks like the wind will be calm and the sky clear without a single cloud will continue, but always watch out for localized heavy rain…

“So shamelessly, everyone ate tuna sashimi yesterday without me?!”

As we were watching the news on the large TV installed in the hotel restaurant, we turned our attention to Choi Jun-hyuk, who was approaching us excitedly.

“Ah, it happened because Junhyuk failed, so what should I do? We wanted to eat together, but we had no choice.”

“I ate a hamburger at McDonald’s! I just went on a trip to an island in the Pacific, and what is this? Next to it was a gambling place that looked like a container house!”

“Huh? McDonald’s isn’t that bad, right? It’s America, so I guess it’s okay to say I’ve tried a local burger.”

Choi Jun-hyuk held the back of his neck, probably getting more heated after hearing Bang Bang-an answer in a calm manner.

“But wouldn’t there be something else today? Brother, please come quickly and have breakfast together.”

    “Yes… Today is definitely…!”

Seojun Kim gently comforted him and made him sit down.

Producer Park Tae-jun, who was quietly filming their skits with a camera, opened his mouth after confirming that all the cast members, including Choi Jun-hyuk, had gathered.

“You didn’t have any plans yesterday other than coming into the dorm, right? I hope you all had a good rest.”

    “Yes!”

“It wasn’t bad except that it felt a little humid.”

“Because you gave me enough time to sleep.”

After hearing the cast members’ answers, he nodded and continued speaking.

“Starting today, we will learn about this island called Saipan in earnest! You probably all admired the beach on the way to the accommodation, but you probably didn’t get to look inside it.”

I had already finished watching it once and kept my mouth shut.

“We plan to do various leisure activities, including snorkeling, today, so please purchase your own equipment beforehand!”

    “Purchase? Where?”

“When you leave the accommodation, you are immediately on Garapan Street. There are shopping centers and department stores here, as well as many stores selling various sports goods. You will probably be able to find anything you can think of. Only!”

    “Dan?”

“The budget we provide to performers is limited. This means that you have to spend rationally with a limited budget.”

Then PD Park Tae-jun looked at me and said.

“You said there was a benefit for the team that came in first place in the last mission, right? As a benefit, Minho and Jiyu will receive twice the amount of the other team’s budget.”

    “Wow!”

    “Good.”

“If you can’t purchase within your budget, don’t worry. We have some rentals just in case. However, we cannot guarantee the quality.”

“Kwaaa… I can already see it… the future struggling while wearing goggles…”

When Choi Jun-hyuk grabbed his head and groaned, Moon Ji-yu, who was happy about the fact that the budget had been doubled, looked worried about something.

“Hey, PD! I have a question!”

    “Yes, please ask a question.”

“You can’t buy equipment with your own money, right?”

“Yes, because there is no point in doing missions.”

“Then what if you earn money yourself here and spend it?”

    “Here?”

    “Doing things like busking.”

Perhaps because Moon Ji-yu’s question was unexpected, PD Park Tae-jun looked surprised.

    Bang Bang-an asked her.

“Jiyuya, the budget is double, so is there really a need?”

“But, even if Minho and I are okay, other people might not have enough money… This time, there was no telling us not to help other teams, and it’s so sad that we came this far and can’t play properly…”

Choi Jun-hyuk made an exaggerated face and cried when she said she was worried about the other cast members.

“Huh! Jiyu There is only you…! The child’s heart is as beautiful as his face…!”

“Hmm… This is an unexpected proposal.”

Producer Park Tae-jun, who had been whispering with the staff, including writer Shin Man-jae, who was next to him, told us.

“Good. We will allow Jiyu Moon to help other teams by busking.”

    “Good, brother!”

    “Hey!”

“However, there may be problems with accepting money from passers-by even if you do not know how to simply sing, so we will increase the budget in proportion to the number of people listening to the music.”

    “PD is the best!”

Producer Taejun Park received cheers from the cast and left for a moment to obtain permission for busking.

“That’s amazing. I know how to do business with the PD.”

“Hehe… I just thought it would be good to promote my song and help other people as well.”

Moon Ji-yu laughed and scratched his head at my words.

“Oh…! I will take responsibility for JiU’s new song and promote it to those around me!”

“I never thought I would come up with such an idea.”

While we were talking like that, writer Shin Man-jae received a call from producer Park Tae-jun, who was away, informing him that he had safely received permission.

The place to busk is in front of the American Memorial Park near the accommodation.

It was a park established to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives during World War II.

Although it was a fairly large park built on land near the yolk, it is said that Saipan was also struggling because there were not many visitors.

Meanwhile, a Korean program was said to be promoting Saipan and busking, so permission was granted at an unusual speed.

Led by Moon Ji-yu, who came out of the room carrying a guitar case, the filming team headed to the busking location.

Artist Shin Man-jae approached me while I was on the move.

    “Mr. Minho.”

    “Yes?”

Artist Shin Man-jae makes a small gesture when I turn my head to hear a voice calling me. I left the cast for a moment and distanced myself from the group with him.

Once it was out of the way for others to overhear, writer Shin Man-jae carefully asked a question.

“Before Jiyu’s busking, can Minho use magic to attract a few people?”

“Magic? Didn’t you say that you would do that when the cast was together?”

“That’s right, but I think it would take a long time just with Jiyu’s song to create a picture where enough people gather. As you said last time, if the location is not a problem, even for a moment…”

At the same time, he cautiously told me that it was okay to refuse since this was an offer that was purely asking for my opinion.

Well, I didn’t feel bad at all when they asked me to play a role in brightening the mood.

Yesterday’s team action showed that Moon Ji-yu was a good person, and this busking started with good intentions.

“Isn’t busking only permitted for JiU’s performances?”

“There is no problem because permission was granted in the name of our filming team, not JiU. As long as you strictly observe the place and time.”

    “Then I’m fine.”

“Hahaha! As expected, it’s Minho! Thank you!”

If there were no procedural problems at all, there was no reason to refuse, so I readily accepted writer Shin Man-jae’s request.

Then, with a bright smile, he contacted PD Park Tae-jun.

Watching that, I joined the cast again.

    “Huh? Where have you been?”

Moon Ji-yu looked around and noticed that I had returned and asked with a puzzled look on his face.

“I have something to talk about with the author.”

    “What are you talking about?”

“It’s also related to busking, but I think I’ll probably do a little magic show first before you sing.”

“Magic?! Do you know how to do magic?”

“A little. So, by the way, can I borrow your guitar for a moment?”

“It wouldn’t be normal to even perform…”

Even as Moon Ji-yu said that, he obediently handed me the guitar.

For a musician, it must be her precious instrument… but when she handed it to me without saying anything even though she said she would use it for magic, I couldn’t tell if I had gained that much trust or if she was just being nice.

When I arrived in front of the American Memorial Park and the filming equipment was being set up, I said I would get ready for a moment, went behind the wall, put the guitar in my inventory, and came out.

    ‘Okay, let’s get started.’

Passers-by snooping around out of curiosity when they see the filming team, the filming team and cast members are filled with anticipation, and even Moon Ji-yu looks anxious at the sight of the guitar suddenly disappearing.

    ♩♪~♩♫♬~

I clapped my hands as the music flowed from the speakers and more and more attention was focused on me standing still in the center.

    match!

    “Oh…!”

What appears between the palms of each other is a magic wand for magic.

    Whiik!

    Crack!

I swung it around to show that it was all in one piece, not foldable, and I rotated my body once.

    Seueueuu

    “The hat…!”

“Where did it come out of nowhere?”

People were amazed at the bowler hat that suddenly appeared as they turned around.

He was dressed like an ordinary person visiting the beach, but there was no place to hide his hat anywhere.

As I felt more and more people gathering, I identified the hat to the audience and tapped it with my magic wand.

    Crack.

And when he put his hat on, water suddenly started pouring out of the hat like a waterfall.

    Gurgling ㅡ

    “Ugh…! Ufufu…!”

    “Khahaha!”

    “No, water suddenly comes out?”

“Ahahaha! It was a gag magic trick!”

People’s eyes widened at the sight of me suddenly being covered in water, and they burst out laughing in amazement.

I put on a puzzled expression and took off my hat again.

Of course, the connection to the inventory was closed, so the water disappeared.

He looked like he had completely fallen into the water, checked his slightly damp fedora again, showed it to the audience, and then put it back on.

    Gurgling ㅡ

    “Ahh…! Oh my…!”

    “Ahaha…! Come out again! Again!”

    “It’s really amazing!”

    “No, Minho was a magician…?”

I had a difficult time acting due to the water constantly flowing out.

Not only the cast who saw me doing magic for the first time, but also the production crew who had already seen me do magic were surprised.

While the previous show was a small-scale close-up magic, this one was closer to stage magic.

It was not unreasonable to be surprised.

    “Uh, this?”

When I approached an audience member, I pointed to her necklace.

She, who had been watching the magic trick from the beginning, obediently handed over the necklace with an interested look on her face.

I held it in my fist and blew on it.

    Hook!

Then he slowly opened his hand to show that the necklace was gone.

He flicked his index finger left and right at the astonished faces of the people, and tapped the hat he was wearing at his side with a magic wand and turned it over.

    Sigh.

    “Wow…!”

Then this time, the necklace that disappeared instead of the water fell safely into the waiting hands.

I returned it to its owner and looked around.

‘It looks like enough people have gathered.’

It’s fun to get people’s admiring looks, but the star of this busking was not me, but Moon Ji-yu.

With the intention of ending the magic soon, he put the magic wand in his hat and bowed 90 degrees to those around him, bowing politely.

    “I guess it’s over… It’s a shame.”

    “It’s a little short.”

    “Still, it was interesting. Right?”

People who noticed that the full-scale magic was over expressed their disappointment.

I shook my head at them and pulled a large piece of cloth from my hat.

It was a soft material reminiscent of a red carpet.

Feeling people’s attention again, I swung it into the air.

    phut!

    Slurp~

When the wide spread cloth blocked my view, I took out the guitar I had put in my inventory again.

With the red carpet laid out on the floor, I motioned to Moon Ji-yu.

    “eh…? Me?”

After hesitating for a moment, she soon came forward and stood on the red carpet.

After handing Moon Ji-yu the guitar and placing the felt hat used for magic on her head, I left.

    “Hwiikㅡ! Good job!”

“Shall we listen to our song too?”

“If you watch magic, I think singing would be good too.”

    “It’s fun!”

Moon Ji-yu, who was frozen as if he had been startled, came to his senses after receiving people’s attention.

The music coming from the speakers gradually became quieter and people cheered less.

    “Hueup…”

Moon Ji-yu took a deep breath and started singing.

    “♩♪~♩♫♬~”

    “Oh… your voice is nice.”

    “Which country?”

    “I think it’s Korea.”

“Ah! I know there! Gangbuk style!”

“Is it okay to just listen to the melody?”

I was worried that I might have gone too far, but that was unfounded.

Rather, Moon Ji-yu sang happily as if he had gained something from seeing the magic.

Her refreshing voice combined with the sound of the guitar clearly had something that made people from other countries pay attention, even though the languages were different.

After the exciting melody and lyrics were finished, applause erupted from the crowd surrounding the song.

    Clap clap clap!!!

    “Encore! Encore! Encore!”

They wanted an encore, so Moon Ji-yu had to sing about three more famous pop songs.

After the busking performance ended successfully, I went out next to Moon Ji-yu again, took my fedora, and bowed my head to the audience.

    Gurgling ㅡ

    “Push…!”

    “Perfect until the end.”

“Is this a hat that releases water when a man wears it?”

So we finished the performance and started cleaning up after ourselves.

“Where on earth did you learn magic?!”

Mun Ji-yu asked with red cheeks whether he had not yet calmed down from the excitement of busking.

    “I did some self-study as a hobby.”

“Minho’s younger brother, really… I guess it’s okay to just call him a magician?”

“It was more amazing than the performance I saw in Korea last year.”

“Do you know how to do other magic tricks?”

Other cast members also added their comments one by one.

“Haha. Not to that extent. I’m running out of ideas right now…”

I just kind of glossed it over.

In fact, rather than thinking about the magic itself or the idea, the only difficult part was using the inventory without being caught on camera.

After praising the magic trick, people next gave a favorable review of Moon Ji-yu’s song.

The smile on her face couldn’t go away as she was happy that her song was well received.

Anyway, after finishing all the cleaning up, we were able to get a budget that exceeded our expectations from the production team, and with our generous budget, we went shopping for a lot of the things we wanted.

And after a quick lunch, we moved to our next destination, Forbidden Island.

A piece of cloud was seen passing over the head of the sports car for which the production team had extended the rental period.
