Chapter Index

The green grass began to follow me.

A world filled with green grass on all sides.

There was no one here to help me.

I kept running, moving my hands and feet with all my might.

Until I was out of breath. I didn’t stop!

    Jeff-

As I was gasping for breath, I heard a familiar voice.

    Amy! Amy!

    help!

    The green monsters are chasing!

I shouted in the direction where the voice was coming from.

But the voice did not come out.

It was stuffy. It was so stuffy.

I stretched out my hand with all my might.

    “Jeff?”

    “Gasp!”

The voice that had been heard from far away suddenly became closer.

The blurry sensation in my body became clearer, and I felt Amy’s hand digging between my fingers.

    “Amy?”

    “Yeah. It’s Amy.”

I released Amy’s hand and started checking my body to make sure there was nothing wrong with it.

From head to toe, no pain. No injuries.

    There is nothing strange.

I don’t see any green monsters either.

This time I threw back the blanket and looked inside.

There was no green monster here either.

    “Did you have a nightmare?”

“A nightmare? Yes, that’s right. It was a really horrible nightmare.”

I nodded in response to Amy’s words.

It was a truly horrible nightmare.

I imagine all kinds of green vegetables coming towards me, dragging their large bodies.

It felt like there was a grassy smell in my mouth.

    “Ugh.”

    “What was it about?”

“The green monsters were chasing me.”

    “Green monster?”

“Yes. Big cabbage and cucumber-like things.”

    “I see.”

These are guys you can’t like.

It was tasteless, and it came to torment me even in my dreams.

Looking back, it seemed like revenge was necessary.

“I have to get ready for work.”

    “Oh. Yes.”

I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom.

Shine had already finished showering and was sipping on some cold milk.

    “What happened now?”

    “Yeah.”

“Your expression doesn’t look good. Did you have a nightmare?”

“Yeah. It was a dream about a lot of cucumbers.”

“That was a really horrible nightmare.”

    “That’s right.”

After exchanging a brief greeting with Shine, I went into the bathroom, took off the pajamas I was wearing, and started showering.

The warm water flowed over my entire body, slowly loosening the stiffness from the nightmare of the previous night.

After finishing my shower, I sip a glass of cold milk that Amy prepared for me.

The cold sensation running down my throat makes me exclaim in admiration.

After drinking milk, dry your hair and get dressed.

I put on the clothes Amy prepared for me and put my bag on my back.

Inside the bag were Amy’s packed lunch and a dinosaur water bottle filled with green juice.

    “Let’s go!”

The three of us left the room like that.

We walk down a long hallway and arrive at Team Harmonize’s office.

I walked straight to my seat and put my bag down.

A desk smaller than the one Amy uses was the one dedicated to Shine.

There were a lot of office supplies on display to cheer me up, but I never used them.

Probably. I don’t think there will be any in the future.

    “Victor and Rain are late.”

“Yeah. I was late yesterday too.”

Shine and I sat facing each other and nodded.

Amy poured herself a cup of coffee and took her lunch box out of her bag.

Shine and I checked the scene, and we also took out our lunch boxes from our bags and placed them on the desk.

    “What is it today?”

    “Chicken breast.”

    “It’s always chicken breast.”

    “Yeah.”

I opened the lunch box lid without expecting much.

    “Gasp!”

    But this can’t be happening.

The contents of the lunch box were beyond imagination.

    It’s not chicken breast.

It even had pork belly in it.

Of course, there were plenty of vegetables in it, but I couldn’t resist this.

    I lifted my chopsticks, drooling.

    “It’s delicious meat.”

I wonder if Amy made a mistake.

I looked at Amy with that thought in mind.

I met eyes with Amy, who was looking at me.

She smiled slightly and picked up the pork belly with her chopsticks.

I checked the appearance and immediately moved my chopsticks.

Yum yum. In the midst of a delicious meal time.

The door to the office, which had been tightly closed, opened and Rain appeared.

    “It’s out!”

    Rain shouts proudly.

He was so confident, even though he arrived five minutes later than the scheduled work time.

But that’s okay. There was no one here to tell her anything.

In the first place, the idea of commuting time didn’t really seem to have any meaning.

    “Oh! You were already eating!”

    “Hello Rain.”

    “Hello!”

Rain ran towards us, his short legs moving hard.

Rain’s private seat also shared the same desk as ours.

Dadadadatta- The sound of small footsteps rang out several times, and Rain approached the desk and pushed aside the documents that were on top of it.

A torrent of white papers poured down and rolled across the floor.

But Lane paid no attention and placed his bag on the desk.

The yellow chick bag flapped and spat out the lunch box.

    “Ta-da!”

She showed off the contents of her lunchbox.

Indeed, the contents of the lunch box were something to brag about.

It was like looking at a colorful traffic light.

What on earth did you pack?

The bright colors were so dazzling that I couldn’t see the contents of the lunch box clearly.

    “What is that…?”

    “It’s kimbap!”

As he said this, Rain took out a long object from his lunchbox.

    It was purple.

    “Purple kimbap…?”

“Yeah! It’s wrapped in grape-flavored seaweed.”

    “Uh…”

“How is it? Isn’t it pretty?”

    “Yeah…”

I nodded with a trembling expression.

But Shine seemed interested in Rain’s kimbap.

    “Rain.”

    “Huh?”

    “Give me some too.”

“Do you want to eat shine too?”

“Yeah. I think it’ll taste interesting.”

    “Okay. I’ll share it!”

Rain nodded, willingly complying with Shine’s request.

Lane holding kimbap in one hand and raising a finger with the other hand.

After a while, small droplets of water began to form on her fingers.

Drop by drop, several water drops formed beads, which soon began to spread out thinly.

A very thin film of water.

Lane moved his hand and swung it like a sword.

With a snap, half of the kimbap in Rain’s hand was cut off.

    “Okay!”

    A cleanly cut cross-section.

The contents inside were also strange.

    “Grapes in kimbap?”

“Yeah. Since it’s grape-flavored seaweed, I put grapes inside.

The grapes were not of one kind.

Green grapes, just grapes, Kyoho grapes, and even raisins.

Rain handed half of the kimbap to Shine.

    “Okay!”

Shine took Rain’s kimbap with a big smile.

I looked at her expression with concern.

    “Ah!”

Rain bit into his kimbap with all his might.

Shine, who was watching Rain like that, also put a grape kimbap in her mouth.

Rain and Shine’s little balls began to puff up and swell.

    Is that really delicious?

The smile on Rain’s face looked truly happy.

This time it’s time to take a look at Shine.

There was no change in Shine’s face.

Shine was mumbling with the same expression as before.

Shine, who swallowed all the kimbap that entered her mouth, slowly opened her mouth.

I wonder if he was going to say something. As I thought so, Shine immediately shoved the remaining kimbap into her mouth.

Mumble, mumble. It didn’t take long for the long kimbap to disappear into her mouth.

    “Is it delicious…?”

    I asked Shine cautiously.

Shine, who had been mumbling for a long time without answering, swallowed the kimbap that had entered her mouth and nodded.

    Is that true?

I looked at her with suspicious eyes.

“Jeff, do you want some too?”

Rain took another kimbap out of his lunch box.

Judging from the slightly yellowish color of the seaweed, it looked like a lemon or banana.

    “That… tastes like banana?”

    “Yeah!”

Lane nodded vigorously and raised a finger.

Even though I didn’t even ask for it, it seemed like he was ready to give it to me.

Before I could say anything, Rain’s fingers moved.

    Snip-

A banana kimbap cut in half fell onto my lunch box.

What was inside was actually a banana.

Bananas were wrapped in rice, and the rice was wrapped again in banana seaweed.

I lifted the banana kimbap into my hand.

To be honest, I didn’t feel like eating it.

But I couldn’t help but eat it because of Rain’s eyes that were sparkling with anticipation.

With a reluctant expression, I opened my mouth cautiously.

Although I quite liked the sweet smell that wafted out as I got closer to the kimbap, I was still uneasy.

    Yum-

Kimbap that I carefully bit into with my small mouth wide open.

After a while, sweetness surged into my mouth.

    This is no ordinary rice.

    Even the rice was sweet.

    It was so delicious.

It didn’t feel like I was eating a meal, it just felt like I was eating a delicious, sweet snack.

I shoved all the remaining kimbap into my mouth with my eyes shining.

    “How is it?”

    “This is the best!”

    Lane was a great cook.

    “It was delicious.”

    Shine also praised her.

While Shine and I were praising Lane, Amy, who was sitting far away, opened her mouth.

“Rain. Did you bring me some weird kimbap again?”

    “That’s not weird!”

“That’s weird enough. What kind of kimbap is that?”

    “Because it’s made of Kim!”

It seemed like this wasn’t the first time Rain had made kimbap like this.

It was while Rain and Amy were talking.

The closed door opened wide and Victor came in.

It was incredibly late, but no one pointed it out.

    “Hello!”

I jumped up from my seat and said hello to Victor. He waved at me and walked over to the desk where we were sitting.

    What are you coming for?

Victor quickly approached her and took advantage of her moment of carelessness to reach for her lunch box.

A small light flashed and Victor was holding a red kimbap in his hand.

    “Oh no!”

Only then did Rain realize that his kimbap had been stolen.

She jumped up from her seat, screaming.

    “Hey!”

    “Eat one.”

Victor stuffed his mouth full of kimbap.

Victor, who loves candy, also seemed to like Rain’s sweet fruit kimbap.

Victor took a seat next to Amy, munching on his kimbap.

    “Do you like it??”

    “It’s delicious.”

Amy asked with an incredulous expression, but Victor nodded nonchalantly and answered.
