Chapter Index

“S…Sir Ska, what were you doing?”

Mion, wearing a white priestess robe, asked hesitantly.

Flustered, Yoo-shin Jung waved his hands and darted his eyes around.

    “W…well.”

Karin saw this and smiled slyly.

    “Hmm?”

The wolf beastkin who had been anxiously having her nipples fondled by the man she liked just moments ago was gone.

It was her turn to show her dignity as Ska’s first female.

    “That’s right…Ah!!!”

    Karin stopped talking abruptly.

She quickly scrapped her plan to brag to that damp cow priestess.

Because one possibility flashed through her mind.

Ska’s declared ban on mating bothered her.

    ‘5 months.’

    It was too long.

Long enough for that damp cow priestess to find out everything and devour her man whole.

She couldn’t let her guard down.

The beauty of the cow priestess.

    ‘She’s as pretty as me.’

Slightly closed eyes. A small beauty mark beneath them.

    Soft lips.

    Decisively.

Her indecently swaying milk jugs and the damp priestess robe revealing her panty line.

Although hidden by the white priestess robe now, she was in battle readiness, prepared to seduce Ska and initiate mating at any time.

There was a high possibility that Ska would fall for that priestess’s clutches.

She decided to postpone showing off her superiority as Ska’s first female.

But she was too disappointed to just let it go like this.

Karin narrowed her eyes and looked at Mion.

    “Mion, are you curious?”

    “Yes.”

    Mion nodded.

    Karin looked at Yoo-shin Jung.

“We’ll talk for a moment, just the two of us.”

    “…Okay.”

Yoo-shin Jung nodded and left the yard.

They had talked alone last time too, so it seemed like they had something to talk about among the women again.

Yoo-shin Jung was semi-forcibly kicked out of the yard and circled around the counter.

Tarman, who was mopping the floor of the inn, saw this and smiled grimly.

“Hehe. Sir Ska, this is your good fortune.”

“What are you talking about all of a sudden?”

“Honestly, aren’t you enjoying the best of both worlds? The passionate and easygoing Karin-nim and the gentle Earth Mother priestess-nim? Sir Ska, you are truly blessed.”

“Crazy bastard. That person is a high-ranking priestess. And her brother is the inner castle knight commander of the labyrinth city. If I mess with her, I’ll be murdered without a trace.”

‘But, you liked squeezing her belly fat, didn’t you?’

An evil self whispered from the darkness.

    Yoo-shin Jung shook his head.

Again, the darkness of the labyrinth was invading his mind.

    Tarman trembled slightly.

    “O-oh, I see. She seems to be a high-ranking person. But since she’s a kind person…”

    Tarman’s words were cut off.

Because a sound from the yard penetrated the kitchen and reached the inn hall.

But because it was faint, it was difficult to understand the contents properly.

    “Die…bitch…! The agreement…?!”

    “With…just that…what can you do…dampandwet…with your little fingers…masturbate in defeat…”

    “Bitch!…Leash…!”

    “D…don’t do it…!”

Anne ran out of the kitchen with a pale face.

“Sir Ska! The two of them are rolling around in the yard and fighting!”

Yoo-shin Jung tasted the feeling of wanting to tear his hair out, passed through the kitchen, and ran into the yard.

    “Both of you, stop!”

Yoo-shin Jung ran into the yard and shouted. But he was a step late. The situation was already over.

Karin was sitting down with her bra removed, and Mion’s white priestess robe was disheveled, revealing her black priestess clothes.

    “Hoo…hoo…”

Mion breathed roughly and looked at Yoo-shin Jung for a moment.

“Sir Ska, is it true that Karin touched Sir Ska’s ‘that place’?”

    “W…well, yes.”

‘It didn’t end there. We had sex.’

He felt a strange feeling and answered truthfully. Because the truth was the truth.

“Hoo. I have no choice then. I have taken measures to ensure that this insolent bitch can never touch Sir Ska’s sacred place again.”

    “…?”

    Measures?

    “Sir Ska.”

Mion walked up gracefully and took Yoo-shin Jung’s hands.

    “Yes.”

“Please don’t let your body be harmed by succumbing to lust.”

    “Yes. I understand.”

Mion’s face turned red and she hesitated before opening her mouth.

“If…if you really can’t stand it, I…I can help you, you know? You know? Come to the confessional and tell me everything.”

    “O-okay.”

Mion held Ska’s hand tightly, glared at Karin, and left the kitchen.

Karin clutched her chest and gnashed her teeth.

    “That annoying damp cow!”

    “Karin, are you okay?”

    “Yeah.”

“Why are you covering your chest?”

    “It’s complicated.”

Karin couldn’t say it even if her mouth was torn.

That Mion used magic and knocked her down with power that surpassed hers, then grabbed her chest and engraved ‘Pleasure Assimilation Magic’.

    Karin bit her lip tightly.

    The plan was disrupted.

She had endured the shame and ‘marked’ him to inform many people, but Ska’s mating ban had messed things up.

She was about to lose Ska to another female.

And that female was her biggest rival, Mion.

‘First, I need to keep Ska from wandering outside, then I need to silence my kin.’

There were many of her kin in the streets. There were probably many people who had smelled it too.

It was a nearly impossible plan.

Success was impossible. But she couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.

‘I have to block it as much as I can.’

At least until the 5-month mating ban is lifted, she has to make sure Mion can’t find out, no matter what it takes.

‘The smell will fade in a week.’

Karin quickly wiped her body with a towel and went up to the second floor. She had a lot to do.

    After a round of fighting.

When Yoo-shin Jung was cleaning the yard, Anne came and handed him a small bundle.

“The priestess left this behind. During this festival, they made and sold small charms at the Earth Mother Temple, and this one was specially made for Sir Ska, so she asked me to make sure you keep it.”

Yoo-shin Jung nodded and received the bundle.

    ‘So that’s why Mion came.’

    “Okay. Thank you.”

“No. You’ve been through a lot.”

Anne’s voice contained a feeling of pity. Yoo-shin Jung sighed deeply.

    ‘I’m feeling dizzy.’

The dawn training was over, so the inn staff gathered for an early breakfast and started their work.

Yoo-shin Jung couldn’t stay still, so he spent time working in the kitchen.

There was also Anne’s earnest request.

The summer kitchen was close to a steamer. He had to be close to the fire and work diligently without rest.

    In a word.

It wasn’t easy. But if someone had to do it, he was the type to take on the hardest work.

Karin and Tarman were serving outside.

    “Sir Ska.”

Tarman, who had entered the kitchen, called Yoo-shin Jung’s name.

Yoo-shin Jung, who was slicing celery, raised his head.

    “Why?”

    “Snoutnose is here.”

“Really? Tell him to come to the yard.”

    “Yes.”

He sat down in the shade of the yard, wiping away sweat, and Snoutnose approached.

“Sir Ska, long time no see…!”

Snoutnose greeted him, then grabbed his nose.

    “Why?”

    “N…no, it’s nothing.”

Snoutnose avoided his gaze and mumbled.

‘Karin-nim told me to be prepared, but this is no joke.’

    Yoo-shin Jung tilted his head.

‘What is it? Is my sweat that bad?’

    He wondered, but dismissed it.

He had been working hard in the kitchen, so it would be strange if he didn’t smell like sweat.

“Snoutnose, it’s been a while. Thank you for helping out when we were short-handed during the last festival.”

“N-no problem. I’m just grateful that Tarman took good care of me with the payment.”

    Snoutnose gave a stiff smile.

Tarman came out of the yard. He was holding two cups of cool mint juice in his hands.

“Here you go. Talk while you drink.”

    “Oh!!! Thank you.”

Snoutnose smiled broadly and took the juice that Tarman handed him.

    “I don’t want it.”

Yoo-shin Jung frowned and shook his head.

It was juice with a half-and-half mix of cilantro and mint.

    ‘Cilantro-flavored toothpaste juice. How awful.’

Snoutnose drank all the juice in one go, then smacked his lips.

“Tarman, Sir Ska said he won’t drink that, can I have it?”

“No problem. Okay. Sir Ska, is that okay?”

Yoo-shin Jung shook his head at Tarman’s question.

    “Drink a lot. Drink twice.”

    “Hehe. Thank you.”

Yoo-shin Jung looked at the two men chattering and laughing, then looked up at the hot sky.

    ‘Those two get along well.’

Did they start talking intimately since the chef interview and now they’ve become friends?

The friendship between a former novice explorer who became an inn worker and a kind-hearted man working under Aldaine.

The world is a funny drama.

Tarman went back into the kitchen and only Yoo-shin Jung and Snoutnose remained in the shade of the yard.

    “So, what’s up?”

“Ah! It’s not a big deal, but there was a monster attack during the last festival, right?”

    “There was.”

“Aldaine-nim caught some guys who were doing strange things, taking advantage of the chaos in the city.”

    “Really?”

“I thought you should know. Have you heard of the Pig Head Mercenary Group?”

“Aren’t they the guys I had a fight with?”

    “Those guys were slave hunters.”

    “Oh…really.”

“We caught them in the act, so a few of them were caught. We handed the rabble over to the guards and imprisoned only the important ones.”

    “Really? That’s good.”

Yoo-shin Jung looked at the heat haze rising in the yard and answered casually.

Then Snoutnose made a flustered expression.

    “S-Sir Ska? What’s wrong?”

    “What?”

“Shouldn’t you come and torture them and ask them questions while you’re at it?”

    ‘This bastard.’

What kind of image does Snoutnose have of him?

He’s not a heartless psycho killer, why would he torture them?

There were no more virgin murderers suffering from madness.

There was only a calm and peaceful modern man who had gotten rid of the bad energy in his body.

    “Why would I do that?”

    Snoutnose’s eyes widened at Yoo-shin Jung’s question.

“Are you just going to leave them alone?”

    “What does Aldaine-nim say?”

“He says he wants to see the skills of a rookie who’s good at monster dissection.”

Yoo-shin Jung was speechless for a moment, then opened his mouth.

“That guy is a real bastard too. Tell him to have sex. It’ll calm his mind. I think he needs sex.”

“No…what?! Why are you suddenly talking about sex in this ruthless place?! Aren’t you the one who roamed the streets like a noble wolf, slaughtering bad guys?!”

Snoutnose’s voice contained a small amount of resentment.

    “It’s not that serious.”

“Anyway, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that. Aldaine-nim might call you.”

“Tch. I’ll go if he calls me.”

He had received a lot of help in many ways, so he couldn’t refuse the call of the monster dissection chief.

Snoutnose left the inn and Yoo-shin Jung sat quietly in the shade with his arms crossed, then got up from his seat.

    “I should get to work.”

    * * *

Several days had passed since Snoutnose’s visit.

Yoo-shin Jung’s daily life was the same.

In the morning, he learned swordsmanship from Karin.

The rest of the time, he stayed in the kitchen and worked silently.

If there was anything special, it was Karin’s behavior.

Karin brought him a strange drink in the middle of the day.

    “Drink this.”

“What is it? Is it a sedative?”

“No way! It’s just a medicine that speeds up magic recovery.”

    “Thank you.”

When he drank the drink he received from Karin, a refreshing sensation swirled through his body, and it felt like the sticky energy clinging to his body was slightly loosened.

‘Is it some kind of elixir? How thoughtful.’

Had Karin been leaving the inn frequently for the past few days because of this?

He was happy and patted Karin’s plump butt.

    “Ah! Don’t do that!”

    Karin blushed and stepped back.

Yoo-shin Jung scratched his head, feeling awkward.

    ‘Was I too casual?’

    * * *

After various things happened, at dawn a week later.

    Clang!!! Clang clang!!!

Two men and women were clashing short swords in the dawn yard.

Yoo-shin Jung was learning short sword skills from Karin.

Unlike Yoo-shin Jung, who had been wielding short swords instinctively until now, Karin knew how to use short swords properly.

    Karin taught him kindly.

She told him in detail about the angle of swinging, the direction of applying force, and how to stab in what posture.

Yoo-shin Jung honed his short sword skills under Karin’s guidance and slowly refined his body.

“Sir Ska, you have a visitor.”

Tarman came to the yard and said.

Yoo-shin Jung stopped sparring with Karin.

“This early in the morning? Tell them to wait a bit.”

    “Yes.”

He cleaned the yard, wiped away sweat, and entered the inn hall.

Familiar faces were sitting in a corner of the table.

    Iron Mask.

The dwarf priest Kubo, who walked around in his underwear.

And the rat beastkin guide, Mas.

“Ska, long time no see. Mas has been released.”

Iron Mask waved his hand and said.

Yoo-shin Jung smiled brightly and approached Mas.

Mas grabbed his nose and frowned for a moment, then tilted his head.

‘That’s strange. I thought I smelled a dangerous scent from Ska for a moment, but am I mistaken?’

While Mas was confused, Yoo-shin Jung opened his mouth.

“Oh. Let’s see, Mas, you’ve lost weight? Did you steal your own flesh with the kleptomania engraving?”

“Ska, are you kidding me? It’s not funny at all. Look at my mouth. It hasn’t moved.”

Mas, who had lost weight, muttered.

“Didn’t you steal my sense of humor with the kleptomania engraving?”

    “Ah. Stop it!”

    Mas squeaked and got angry.

Yoo-shin Jung sat down with the party.

“Mas, I heard you were doing well in prison, was there a problem?”

“It was pretty comfortable until the festival, but after that, the atmosphere changed in an ominous way. Strange humans started to be imprisoned one by one, and then torture started. It was terrible.”

“Really? You’ve been through a lot.”

    “C…cough!!!”

Mas shed tears at Yoo-shin Jung’s gentle patting.

The dwarf priest wearing only triangular panties climbed onto the chair and wiggled his butt.

“Mas, let’s have a drink to celebrate your release! I’ve been working at the temple all the time during the festival, so my body is sore.”

Yoo-shin Jung didn’t feel uncomfortable at all even after seeing the scene.

He was just grateful that he could meet them safely and go into the labyrinth together again.

It didn’t matter if he postponed his promotion today.

Yoo-shin Jung’s party gathered at a corner table from dawn, eating and drinking.

    Iron Mask started the conversation.

“Ska, it’s a bit early, but our party has received a designated request.”

Yoo-shin Jung’s head tilted to the side.

    Suddenly?

    “What designated request?”
