Chapter Index

The plan to steal Amy’s attention with gymnastics was a very good idea.

Amy, who had become so focused on the gymnastics, stopped asking us what we were doing.

Rain, Shine, and I worked out harder than ever.

Hands and feet moving busily. Spinning round and round, then clapping loudly.

Clap clap – Amy also watched the scene and clapped.

    “Are you done?”

    “Yes.”

I took a deep breath and straightened my posture.

While Amy was focused on her phone, I looked at Lane’s yellow chick bag that was lying among the dolls.

It came out a little crooked, but Amy didn’t seem to mind because it still looked like a doll.

I watched Amy’s expression and then approached the dolls.

But to avoid suspicion, she picked up the chick bag and the large teddy bear together.

I handed the chick bag to Lane and walked away quietly.

Stealthily, Rain and I started to head to the door, carrying the teddy bear and the chick bag in our arms.

Shine seemed to have noticed my intentions and sat still, trying to get Amy’s attention.

    “Amy.”

    “Ah. Huh?”

Amy’s gaze, which had been focused on her phone, begins to turn to Shine.

    “Where did you go today?”

“Today? To Jinhan for a moment.”

    “Jin? I hate Jin.”

As I watched the two people talking, I immediately opened the door and ran out of the room with Rain.

    “Jeff? Lane?”

“I’ll go out for a bit!”

Amy sat up in her seat as if worried, but Shine gently grabbed her arm.

“There’s a lane next to it.”

    “That’s true, though.”

I shut the door, ignoring the voices coming from behind me.

I let out a small sigh as I suddenly found myself out in the hallway holding a large teddy bear in my arms.

    “Sigh…”

Rain also breathed a sigh of relief.

If Amy had caught him, all the hard work Lane did in gymnastics and drinking milk today would have gone down the drain.

    I gently stroked Rain’s head.

How many times have you been hit that you are so short?

Rain, who had been looking up at me with a strange gaze, shook his head and shook my hand away.

    “Thanks Jeff.”

I started walking down the hallway, holding the teddy bear in one hand and holding Lane’s hand with the other.

There were still many people passing by in the hallway.

    “Where is Rain’s room?”

    “Over there.”

I thought I’d take this opportunity to check out Rain’s room.

When I asked her where her room was, she spread her fingers and pointed straight ahead.

    Nothing seemed different to me.

There was just a long, stretched-out hallway.

Could it be that it’s near Victor’s room?

I had to walk with Rain for a while to make sure my guess was right.

Pass the shelter, pass the training ground.

After passing Victor’s personal training room, we also pass Victor’s room.

    “Here it is.”

    Lane’s room wasn’t too far from Victor’s.

I stopped in front of the door and nodded.

It was so fancy that anyone could tell it was Rain’s room.

The nameplate hanging in front of the door was shaped like a large chick with the word “Rain” written on it.

Rain’s doorknob was strangely placed low.

It seemed like it was probably tailored to her height.

    “Come in.”

As he said this, Rain opened the door wide.

I entered the room and looked around with my mouth open.

I was surprised because it was cleaner than I expected.

    “Why are you so surprised?”

    “It’s so clean.”

I was imagining Shine and my room to be a mess like when Amy was away for a long time, but that wasn’t the case.

Rain seemed surprisingly good at cleaning.

I took off my shoes and entered the room.

The smell coming from the room resembled Rain’s body odor.

It was a slightly sweet yet cool scent.

    “What…what are you doing?”

    “Yeah. Just.”

As I was sniffing, Rain asked with a blush on his face.

I shook my head and went deeper into the room.

The design of the room was cute, reflecting Rain’s personality.

Furniture made to fit her small stature and objects tailored to her gaze.

It felt like the world that had seemed so big had returned to normal.

    It was comfortable.

    It feels so comfortable.

I put the teddy bear down on the floor and headed towards the bookshelf filled with books.

    “Cypress scent, you? Astrosa’s rose?”

As I was absentmindedly reading the title of the book, Rain, with a flushed face as if embarrassed, ran towards me and blocked the way between me and the book.

    “That… This is.”

    “Are they all comic books?”

    “Yeah… There’s a novel too.”

I pushed Lane’s body aside slightly and looked through the rest of the books.

Most of the books had a similar atmosphere.

There wasn’t a speck of dust on the book, as if it had been carefully managed.

I ran my finger across the title of the book.

    “Is this… all like that?”

    “Yeah…”

Rain answered my question with his head bowed.

I watched her and let out a small sigh.

Then Rain started to flinch and look at me.

“Rain. I told you earlier. This was fun.”

I snatched the chick bag from Lane’s hand and took out a comic book.

It felt weird having to put my hand into the chick’s mouth, but I managed to get my hands on three comic books.

I put a comic book in one of the empty bookshelves.

To match the picture, to match the sound of the title.

And to match the cover picture.

I am slightly impressed by the way the bookshelf is organized with its own unique atmosphere.

    “Really…?”

“Yeah. You can bring everything when Amy isn’t around.”

“Really? You’re not lying, are you?”

“Yeah. Instead, something like that… something a little weaker.”

“Yeah. I get what you mean.”

Lane held up his fingers and pointed to the books from the bottom to the middle.

“From here to here, it’s relatively mild.”

    “Innocent?”

    “Yeah. Jeff doesn’t think it’s a big deal. It’s a great introduction. ”

I don’t really have any intention of getting started.

I couldn’t say anything under Rain’s gaze that was full of anticipation.

I looked at the books on top of it under Rain’s gaze.

The 19+ sticker on the book cover piqued my curiosity.

    Gulp.

Dry saliva flows down my throat.

As I stealthily reach out my hand, her gaze turns to my hand.

It seemed like he was waiting for me to make a choice.

I pointed to the book underneath the 19+ book with my finger.

    Then Rain nodded.

This time I pointed to the 19+ book that was a bit higher up.

    Then Rain shook his head.

I nodded and quickly took out the book.

A book with a red mark firmly embedded in it.

I saw Rain reach out his hand in surprise at my choice.

But I was faster than Rain.

Ppachik – A light in the air.

At that moment, I was on Lane’s bed.

    “Where…”

    “No!”

I lifted the cover of the book.

The cover showed two naked girls entangled together, with only their genital areas covered by a blanket.

The book falls out of my hands.

    This is definitely weird.

The book fell with a thud, bounced off the bed, and fell to the floor.

Rain ran towards me, making small footsteps, and hugged the book carefully.

“That… This is a bit strong.”

    She was right.

    A little. No, a lot.

I put my hand on my heart and caught my breath.

“Did you show that to Shine?”

    “Yeah… Shine asked me to.”

“Rain. Shine is still young. She’s not old enough to see that kind of thing.”

Rain rolled his eyes here and there as if he was sorry and apologized in a small voice.

    “Sorry…”

I sat down on the bed and sighed.

Rain, who had been observing me, came over to me and spoke in a small voice.

“Hey… do you want to see this?”

The book she carefully held out to me was the dirty book I had just dropped.

I turned my head in confusion.

    “Ah. No, that’s not it.”

To be honest, I wanted to see it.

No, I was curious about the content.

“That… This is it. It’s about my sister and my younger sister.”

    “Sister and sister?”

    “Yeah. With family… So.”

    family?

As soon as Rain finished speaking, Shine’s voice seemed to be heard.

I find myself reaching out without realizing it, hearing Shine say that she learned from comic books things that families should do.

    “Jeff?”

“That…with family? I’ll have to check first.”

    “Uh… Yeah.”

I lifted up the book that Rain was holding as if snatching it away.

The content of the book was ordinary.

    No, it wasn’t ordinary.

No. To be honest, I didn’t know if this was normal or not.

Is this how family members do things?

    Because Shine said so, right?

    “Do families usually do this?”

“Uh… because we’re family. Usually secretly… avoiding eye contact.”

    “I see.”

I nodded while checking the contents of the comic book.

Is this what family does in secret, like Rain said?

    The room felt hot.

I fanned myself and swept my hair back.

    “Is it hot?”

    “Yeah… a little bit.”

Rain, who had been watching me, got up from his seat with a happy face when I started reading the book with interest.

I took my eyes off the book and followed Lane’s back.

She was running to the refrigerator.

A mini fridge, or at least one made to fit her height.

Lane took a cold cola out of the fridge.

    “Cola!”

“You haven’t been drinking much lately, have you?”

    “Yeah!”

Rain approached me with a shy smile.

    “Drink a lot.”

Then, wouldn’t he just hand me an entire large plastic bottle?

I was so touched that I hugged Rain.

    “Thank you!”

My mouth was tingling with green juice.

I had to brush my teeth every day, even though I hated doing it, because the smell of grass would come up strongly just by breathing.

In such terrible times, cola was like rain in a drought.

As her name suggests, she rained cola on me, who was parched.

    “Do you need a cup?”

    “Yeah.”

This time, Rain headed to the sink.

She, too, was using the step stool like me.

It was cute to see her short legs moving diligently.

Rain came holding a large cup in both hands.

As expected, Rain knew how to drink cola.

It was better to drink a lot from a large cup than to drink greedily from a small cup.

The cup had a picture printed on it that seemed to be Rain’s taste.

The large chick changed its appearance as the cola poured over it.

The sight of flying with short wings spread wide.

As I looked at him curiously, Rain explained proudly.

    “It’s a custom-made cup.”

    It was really cool.
