Chapter Index

    [Hidden quest cleared.]

[The Lizardman champion has been defeated.]

    [Obtain skill different race hunter.]

    [You have become a cross-race hunter lv.1.]

I checked my newly acquired skills by looking at them.

It was a fairly simple skill.

The skill stated that when fighting against a different race, physical abilities slightly increase.

You can feel this only when you fight in person later.

“Aren’t you really conquering a dungeon like this?”

” Mr. Ai, why do you say that!”

The knight who spoke loudly to Leader Dana was beaten by other knights around him.

    Pretty strong.

The reason was that if I said it for no reason, I might be accused of corruption.

I guess it means don’t put up a flag or something.

Everyone didn’t say anything, but there was laughter and anticipation in their voices, as if they were thinking that way.

To put it mildly, Director Dana must have smiled too.

    But I couldn’t laugh.

    ‘It hasn’t come out yet.’

The entity that injured Director Dana in the original work and was defeated by the awakened Ethan.

I started to feel confident that I was in the deepest part of this dungeon.

    Can you really win?

    I looked around.

    Ethan was growing up now.

Seeing me in action, something seemed to boil over me, so I moved first whenever a mob appeared, and now I looked better than most knights.

I felt like I had a general idea of Director Dana’s combat power.

Although he was overwhelming among the knights, he was one level below me.

Cecil was just the average knight.

What I was most curious about was the type of magic that Lexi could use.

“What is the most powerful magic you can use?”

    “Yes.”

Lexi thought about my question and spoke as if she remembered.

    “Fire Spear…?”

    Why is it a question?

Lexi said with an awkward smile at my expression.

“It’s a bit difficult to use in practice…”

It is said that it is not used often because the spell takes a long time and has a high chance of missing.

    “Hmm…”

But it’s definitely a lot stronger than the fireball shown before, right?

If we can get it right, there might be hope.

    “Huh? Is that…?”

As I walked deeper into the dungeon, I saw something lying in the middle of the road.

As I got closer, I saw a familiar figure.

Yes, if it’s a dungeon, there should be at least one of these.

    “Isn’t this a treasure chest?!”

Someone shouted at the top of his voice.

As he said, a golden treasure chest was placed neatly in the middle of the street.

It did not seem to be fake gold as it gave off a soft and luxurious glow even in a dark dungeon.

As someone who has been paying attention to gold recently, I can assure you.

    “Is this… real?”

    “…I don’t know.”

In response to the article’s question, Director Dana turned his head left and right, saying it was his first time.

Everyone gathered around the treasure chest, but they were just watching, unable to touch it or give up.

“The treasure chest is revealed like this…”

    “Isn’t it a trap?”

“But you’re just leaving this behind?”

“I knew what would come out inside…”

Various opinions were expressed, but no clear answer was found.

I too was suspicious of the thing that was openly claiming to be a treasure chest.

At this time, Ethan raised his hand.

    “Okay, let me open it.”

    “Oh…”

Everyone was slightly impressed by Ethan’s courageous remarks.

Through the things he showed in this dungeon, Ethan was already being recognized little by little by the knights.

It was worth admiring him for showing courage once again in that situation.

Feeling somewhat proud, I looked at Ethan and nodded.

    Ethan also nodded.

    “Let’s leave it to Ethan.”

As I expressed my opinion, the other knights took a step back, leaving Ethan alone.

Director Dana also looked a little worried and took a step back.

Ethan slowly calmed his trembling hands and placed his hand on the treasure chest.

    And slowly opened the box.

    “…”

Everyone held their breath and looked at Ethan and the box.

I thought it might be some sort of trap, but it didn’t seem to be.

    Ethan looked at me.

    “What is this…?”

    “…”

In response to that question, I slowly approached and checked the inside of the box.

For some reason there was a ring.

It was a ring that had never appeared in the original work.

In the original, the dungeon could not be conquered to this point, so it was natural.

I lifted the ring and showed it to the other knights, including Leader Dana.

It seemed like everyone didn’t know.

Fortunately, the wizard Lexi helped out.

“I feel a little bit of magical energy, but it’s not a bad magical energy.”

    “…Really?”

I took the ring as an experiment.

It was something I could do because I trusted Lexi.

And then a window appeared before my eyes.

    [Acquire Heal LV.1.]

I didn’t clear the quest, nor did I get a reward.

However, a message window popped up saying that heel skill was acquired.

So does that mean the power of this ring?

    It was more than expected.

“…If you want that ring, you can have it. Because you were the one who performed better than anyone else today. What do you all think?”

    “I agree.”

    “It’s about a ring…”

    “Can’t I keep the box?”

When Director Dana seemed to like the ring, he seemed willing to give it to me.

The other knights also agreed with Director Dana.

I may be saying this willingly because I don’t know the power of this ring.

For me it was a good thing.

After obtaining the ring and walking for a while, the first thing called a door appeared.

The door that wasn’t even at the entrance to the dungeon was so huge that it was four times the height of a person.

    Everyone had a hunch.

There is something unusual beyond this door.

    “What should I do? Leader?”

When I asked in front of the door, the manager looked worried.

Opinions were divided even among the knights.

And gradually, everyone’s eyes turned to the leader, who was looking at the door with his arms crossed.

In the end, Director Dana had to decide.

Should I continue like this until the end, or should I return and repair it?

    I also couldn’t make a decision easily.

Director Dana seemed to have finished worrying and slowly uncrossed his arms and stood in front of the door.

“Challenge. Even if I lose, I’ll be sure to defeat him next time if I see him beyond this door.”

    “Yes!”

There were no articles opposing Dana’s words.

Everyone prepared to greet him in their respective positions.

Before opening the door, Lexi chanted a spell in advance.

As soon as I opened the door, I planned to hit it with a fireball.

Some knights stood in front of the door.

    To open that huge door.

    “Are you done?”

Lexi nodded at Dana’s words, and several waiting knights began to push the huge door.

    “Keuuuugh…”

    “Push!!!”

Perhaps due to its enormous size and considerable weight, it opened quite slowly even though the knights were pushing with their whole bodies, even throwing their weapons to the floor.

Fortunately, I was able to push because I had recently increased my strength a little by doing the three major exercises.

I wondered if Ethan and I should join in, but I could see gray fur through the small crack in the door.

“Everybody get away from the door!”

    “Kwoar!”

Leader Dana gave an unpleasant command and the knights scattered left and right.

Then, the guy who was visible through the gap in the door opened the door with his huge body.

    Empty!

Several knights collided with the suddenly opened door and flew away.

Fortunately, the injuries were not serious, but it seemed like he could not participate in the battle.

    It was incredible power.

It wasn’t enough to just open that big, thick door, it was enough to send the knights flying far away behind the door.

Lexi fired a huge fireball as if she had been waiting for the guy who opened the door.

It was a larger and faster fireball than the one fired at the Lizardmen before.

    Pubbung!

There was a tremendous roar, and dust and flames rose up.

Everyone held their breath in the silence that followed the loud sound.

    “…”

    Everyone looked into the smoke.

Everyone raised the weapons in their hands.

People who saw him through the crack in the door understood.

That it can’t go on like this.

    “Wow!”

A very angry guy jumped out of the fire.

    The target was Lexi.

I used my inner strength to close the distance in an instant and rolled on the floor while hugging Lexi.

    “Quick!”

Lexi’s high-pitched scream rang out, and the ax he swung just barely swung towards the spot where Lexi was.

When I looked back, there was a huge ax stuck in the ground.

    I looked up at him.

    Minotaur.

This was the identity of the monster that was the boss of this dungeon and the final boss of the original work.

“Everyone, protect Lexi! Good luck, Ethan! Aim for his legs with me!”

Leader Dana calmly led the way and raised his weapon.

Lexi got up from the floor and chanted a spell.

It was different from previous chants.

I grabbed Lexi and rolled her over and whispered in her ear.

This time, prepare a flame spear.

Lexi’s eyes were shaken by those words, but in the end, she believed me and began chanting the flame spear spell.

    Director Dana, Ethan, and me.

The three people rushed towards him, aiming for his legs.

    Whoa!

All three people reacted and avoided the swung ax, but the force of it stopped them in their tracks.

The wind pressure from swinging the ax was enough to blow sand into my eyes.

    ‘monster.’

Of all the monsters I’ve encountered so far, this was the one that suited that word the best.

A guy who looks like he’s 5 meters tall and has that speed.

He looked down at us and slowly lifted the axe.

I also put energy into my sword.

It seemed like it would not be an easy fight this time.
