Chapter Index

    104. Apology.

It had already been three months since Yeom Han-jin left.

Even though the warrior of the Black King Castle had left, Yohan’s daily routine did not change.

He still trained and inspected the village. To put it nicely, it was peaceful, but conversely, it was a boring routine.

    Ah, sometimes strange events occurred.

“Is this where the sect is ruled by a brat whose blood hasn’t even dried! The sect leader, come out and greet this body!”

Yohan, who was swinging his sword in the training hall, only rolled his eyes and looked at the main gate.

Perhaps because it had been recently renovated, the gate of the manor seemed to shine particularly brightly.

    The booming voice continued.

“You must have heard the alias Frontal Mad Sword! This very person is the hero who defeated the Tiger Wind Swordsman!!”

Yohan said to Jangcheong, who was standing up next to him.

    “Have you heard of him?”

    I haven’t.

“Yes. I have heard of him. He is a swordsman who has been making a name for himself recently. He leads several subordinates and causes trouble, so he has a high notoriety.”

    “Is that so?”

I still lack common sense. Yohan thought so and moved his foot towards the gate.

    Jangcheong said urgently.

“M, Master. Are you thinking of facing him directly? You’d better leave it to Commander Marim······.”

“It’s okay. You never know. I might be able to reduce my karma.”

    “Yes?”

Yohan didn’t bother to explain. He just lightly kicked the ground and climbed over the gate.

Yohan looked down. About twenty strong men were camped in front of the gate.

As a shadow fell over their heads, the man presumed to be the Frontal Swordsman looked up.

“Who are you! This is not a place for mere disciples to interfere!”

“Disciple? What are you talking about? This is not a sect, but the Demonic Cult.”

    “Demonic Cult? What’s that?”

    “······.”

    What is this guy?

    “Well, does it matter?”

Yohan raised his finger and pointed at the man. The man, seeing Yohan’s calm expression, relaxed a bit.

“Hey, you little punk. How dare you point your finger so rudely······.”

At that moment, Yohan’s finger flashed with blue light.

Yohan had no doubt that his Magic Missile would hit that man’s jaw.

That’s probably why. Yohan was very surprised the moment [Thought Acceleration] was activated.

    ─────.

    ‘······What!’

In the slowed-down world, he saw the man easily dodging the Magic Missile and soaring towards him.

It was a movement that couldn’t be thought of as a warrior who had looked down on Yohan. Yohan could tell.

    ‘I’ve been deceived!’

Come to think of it, it was strange that he didn’t know the name of the Demonic Cult, even though it had been gaining influence recently.

The man’s attitude and clumsy knowledge were all deception!

However, even in the suddenly reversed situation, Yohan did not lose his composure. Rather, he smiled.

There had been few challengers lately, so he could gain a good experience for the first time in a while.

    Whoosh······.

Blue particles gathered on Yohan’s long sword, and in an instant, blue light overflowed.

Yohan swung his sword down. However, a faint blue slash appeared in the air.

    Clang!!!

    “Kuh······!”

A suppressed groan escaped from the man’s mouth.

His sword and Yohan’s long sword competed fiercely. The sword energy, which was much clearer than before, confused Yohan’s vision.

Over the past three months, he had achieved remarkable accomplishments. And the warrior who applied for a duel like this was not the first this time.

    ‘Was it the third time?’

It feels like the level is gradually increasing. I guess I’m not mistaken.

    Clang! Clang!

The two’s swords clashed incessantly. Dust piled on the gate scattered here and there.

The height of the gate was quite high, but the width was not very wide. Thanks to this, it was an environment where balance could be shaken even with a slight misstep.

It was clearly not a suitable place to fight, but neither of them said to go down.

The man was because of his pride, and Yohan was still because he liked the new experience.

“Huh! This young one is quite skilled! He deserves to be called the leader of a miscellaneous cult!”

    “······.”

Despite the man’s sarcasm, Yohan just swung his sword.

He is still unskilled in swordsmanship. He didn’t want to break his concentration by talking.

    “How, uninteresting!”

The man lowered his body and stretched out his foot in a surprise attack. Yohan pulled the sword as if embracing the hilt.

The sword hilt and foot collided with a loud roar.

    Clang!

Yohan’s body floated up. Yohan did two somersaults and landed on the ground.

When Yohan raised his head, a blue blade was being raised. If he was unlucky, his neck and body would be separated.

Instantly, his head tilted strangely. He tilted his head back so far that it almost broke.

    “······!”

    Whoosh-

A few strands of hair fluttered in the air. Yohan rolled his eyes and looked straight ahead. The man’s armpit was wide open.

Yohan kicked his foot out while his neck was still tilted back.

    Thwack!

Yohan and the man’s figures were pushed back at the same time.

The difference was that Yohan was pushed back almost flying, and the man was pushed back, leaving a long, black footprint.

Yohan did a backflip and took his place.

“Heh, that guy’s kick is fierce.”

White steam was billowing from the man’s left palm, which was not holding the sword.

His palm was red hot, but thanks to sacrificing his hand, the impact on his abdomen seemed to be almost gone.

Sacrificing the small for the sake of the large. It was a wise choice.

    Suddenly, Yohan said.

    “You’re weaker than Yeom Han-jin.”

    “······What?”

“You’re trying to pretend to be calm, but in that state, you can’t beat me. Tsk, that’s too bad. I guess I can’t easily find a warrior with similar skills to that guy in the marketplace.”

    “······.”

The man’s face was momentarily stunned, then turned as red as a carrot.

He didn’t know who Yeom Han-jin was, but it was clear that the leader of that backwater village was insulting him.

“This bastard······. You’ve only succeeded in one attack, and you’re so arrogant.”

Crunch, his feet dug into the ground as if to grind it.

A posture as if he was about to be shot at any moment. Yohan also raised the tension in his whole body.

    “······.”

    “······.”

A moment of silence, which was broken first by the man.

    “Charge!”

    Clang!

At that moment, the gate of the manor opened with a rough burst of sound. Literally, it just pierced a hole.

Through that hole, a dozen or so strong men charged at Yohan.

Yohan’s head spun when he saw that. That gate had been recently renovated and was quite an expensive piece.

    “These, crazy bastards······.”

    “Waaaaaaah!”

“Son of a bitch! Die! You crazy cult leader!”

Perhaps mistaking Yohan’s pale expression for fear, their momentum blazed even more fiercely.

Looking closely, the man called Frontal Something was watching Yohan from afar. It was clear that he was looking for an opportunity.

    Yohan said quietly.

“······Did you really have to break the gate?”

However, his quiet cry was buried in the shouts of the strong men.

Yohan looked at the subordinate of the man who was approaching his chin. A straight sword with rust in places aimed for Yohan’s neck.

Yohan felt that his patience had reached its limit. He could forgive anything else, but he couldn’t forgive breaking the gate.

    Clang!

At that moment, the man’s straight sword and Yohan’s uvula met.

The man mumbled with a dumbfounded face.

    “Clang······?”

Starting with this, the weapons of many strong men slashed at Yohan’s entire body.

    Clang! Clang!

Every time, a sound like hammering iron echoed around.

The faces of the strong men who were attacking Yohan became strange one by one, and then turned pale blue.

This was because Yohan was looking at them one by one with a nonchalant face.

    “Is it all over?”

    “”······.””

They couldn’t answer. At that time, someone inadvertently nodded. As if it was over.

He was a man who had always been oblivious. And that was their last moment.

“I won’t kill you. The crime is not light enough to let you go comfortably.”

Immediately after, a blue haze wrapped around Yohan’s entire body.

    Peeling-

    Bang bang bang bang!!!

Blue orbs fired in all directions relentlessly pounded their entire bodies.

It was an impact they could never have anticipated or experienced. They all rolled their eyes and tumbled to the ground.

    “Hoo······.”

Yohan, who had sighed once, looked around. There were a total of two men around.

The Frontal Swordsman, who was looking at Yohan with a dumbfounded face from afar, and the man with the awkward impression who had just nodded.

Yohan said to the man who was nearby.

“You’re lucky. There weren’t enough angles because there were so many people.”

    “······Uh, well······.”

“It’ll be over soon. Don’t worry.”

    “Wait─”

    Peeling- Thwack!

The man’s figure fell weakly. Yohan now looked at the only remaining man.

The two’s eyes met in the air for a while.

    “······.”

    “······.”

    Thud-

The Frontal Swordsman quietly knelt down.

“······I, I lost. Please save me! Great Hero!”

    Yohan tilted his head.

    “Great Hero?”

Twitch, the Frontal Swordsman trembled in surprise.

“Hick! L, Lord! I’m sorry! Lord!”

“Are you just going to apologize with words?”

He carefully raised his head at Yohan’s words.

    “Then what······.”

    Yohan gestured towards the gate.

“Fix that first. I’ll accept the apology after that.”
