Chapter Index

As Siyoram is also an educational institution, the level of cadets is evaluated and scores are given.

The most basic ones are attendance score and attitude score. This is a pricing method that everyone knows.

You just have to do well in lectures and maintain the right attitude.

However, in terms of the overall ratio, the reality is that only a small amount is given.

The actual score is largely concentrated in three evaluations.

The first is a regular evaluation that takes place after each lecture session.

It’s a name that makes me shiver just hearing it, and it’s the main culprit that made it difficult for me to keep up with the progress.

It felt like death to me as assignments and tests were thrown at me at a pace I couldn’t catch up with yet.

When I look at my report card, what stands out is that my grades in the early part were very poor…

Since it was the beginning of the semester, I had to consider myself fortunate that there were few assignments.

After the vacation, assignments will probably pour in like snow from the next semester as the lecture time decreases.

The second is a common evaluation such as dungeon practice or entrance to the top.

This section also accounts for a lot of points. Still, I got a decent score here.

In the last dungeon practice… except for the magic issue, it was quite helpful, so I got a decent score.

At the top, due to a combination of good luck, I received scores that were either okay or above my level.

Thirdly, there is a midterm evaluation that is conducted once every semester.

These three things account for most of the score.

And the schedule scheduled for the next two weeks is the mid-term evaluation.

The midterm evaluation was not an event that required much attention in the original work.

It is an exam taken once every semester, and is largely divided into written and practical sections.

It is a five-day schedule from Monday to Friday. The first two days are written exams, and the remaining three days are practical exams.

First of all, since I am receiving a combat major lecture from Professor Atra… no, I will be taking a combat major practical course and probably participating in a tournament as well.

These days, whenever I walk around the campus, I see the library and training rooms crowded with cadets.

Of course, there were always a lot of them. There are very few cases where poetry cadets have a low academic zeal.

However, as the mid-term evaluation approaches, the number has increased, and it is true that motivation has increased noticeably.

There is a reason why midterm evaluations are given a higher score, but this is because this evaluation is not limited to internal use like regular evaluations or common evaluations, but is partially disclosed to the outside.

I remember that there were probably several types of practical skills and tournaments that were broadcast externally.

In other words, it was an appropriate event for a reputation work.

The mid-term evaluation did not have a significant impact, such as the main character dying or having a major hindrance to the player’s growth after making a mistake.

If you really have to ask, what about player growth evaluation and reputation? In the case of reputation works, it was still something to be concerned about.

In the early episodes, great attention was paid to reputation.

It was difficult for the player alone to stop the invasion of the tower or the rampage in the upper dungeon.

This was largely due to the fact that the force he had was insignificant, and even if he was a little stronger, there were ultimately limits to what he could do as an individual.

I always organized parties with strong people like Joo-yeon.

So, I put a lot of effort into the side quests and tried to increase the likeability of as many characters as possible.

After Baek A-rin’s backlash in the 8th round, I quickly gave up.

At the time, I had affection for NPCs. It’s true that I did the side quest for the purpose of clearing it, but honestly, I wouldn’t have tried it if it wasn’t fun.

Baek Arin was a character that was especially loved.

It was truly absurd that the episode, which was going well at the time, ended in vain after being stabbed in the back by that affectionate character.

From then on, I changed my way of playing.

Baek Ah-rin, who seemed like she would never betray him, got stabbed in the back. In an important situation, we are engaged in a battle with an invading tower owner.

At that point I couldn’t help but have doubts.

I was stabbed in the back by Baek A-rin, but can’t I say she was a different person? I’ve never had anything like that before, but wouldn’t that be the case? However, Baek A-rin is also someone who I never thought would betray.

If the episode ended with a party member being betrayed at a dramatic moment… I felt like I wouldn’t be able to control my anger…

And there was also the thought that something needed to be a turning point.

Therefore, we abandoned the management of favorability and insistence on taking the first route. I got sick of playing games where I was overly immersed in the player character and trying to save each extra NPC.

The later episodes didn’t care much about reputation.

Of course, if the reputation fell into the abyss from the beginning of the episode, growth would be hindered, so adjustments were made accordingly.

But at some point, he gave up on that and started throwing a tantrum.

The episode where the antics reached its peak was episode 11, ‘Diamond Warrior’.

Much of the high-level information, such as parts of the secret history of large powers such as the three major families, or the location and internal appearance of other secret places, was information ripped off by the Diamond Warriors in their mess.

In any case, the midterm evaluation was not an important event in the original work. If I made a mistake, it would not come back as a huge karma later.

‘Still, you shouldn’t be too lazy.’

However, it was a very important schedule for Siyoram cadet Lee Ha-yul, who was not a player.

There are no repeating cadets at City Cradle. Unless you cause a really serious accident, you won’t be expelled.

However, there was no reason to rush through the midterm evaluation.

When I think about the situation I’m in, I can clearly see with my dark eyes what kind of situation I’ll face after being nervous.

So, I stayed up all night for several days preparing for the midterm evaluation.

I gave up on ‘opening a book and reading’, which I had been doing with the thought that I should live with human-like habits.

I just shut up and put it into my head with the power of observation. I put off understanding until later, and pounded the information into my head first.

My head was pounding and I was complaining of pain, but it was limited to a little nosebleed. In fact, it even feels like the capacity within the brain is growing.

Writing wasn’t the only thing that needed to be prepared.

Rather, I had to prepare for the practical exam, which had a much higher score than the written exam.

I also had to prepare for practical tests for some subjects. I had to prepare because I had to go to a tournament…

It was a schedule that made me sigh.

On the other hand, my mind was quite a mess.

This is because the residue that had stuck to my mind after not being able to sleep for several days was swept away.

As soon as I heard the teacher’s past history and established the relationship between teacher and student, I fell asleep for several hours.

When I came to my senses, my major class was about to end.

I had no choice but to suppress my regret and stand up from Master’s arms.

    .

    .

    .

The second natural park located on one side of the city cradle site.

I sat down on the grass in the cool air and patted the blue light floating in front of my nose.

The spirit that was wandering around me trembled as if it was tickled, and then rubbed itself against my fingers.

There was no warmth, but instead a subtle softness was conveyed through the fingers. It may have been just an illusion, but he also seemed to be in a good mood.

“Spirit is really fascinating. I thought it was just natural energy, but he was acting cute like this.”

    [Iknow, right]

“Isn’t it? It seems like he only does that to Hayul…“

    Lecture on 『Understanding the Spirit』.

Unlike the first day, which ended with testing and promotion of friendliness, proper lectures continued on the second day.

Professor Liana even directly reproduced what she had learned in theory using the spirit she had contracted with.

There was also a lot of practical explanation, such as how to assist in the process of cooperating with an elementalist, and how to deal with an elementalist and attack their weaknesses when dealing with an elementalist.

Since Professor Liana herself was a hero active on the African Demonic Front, the reliability of the information was, to say the least, a nag.

Even as the lecture continued, I was treated specially.

That’s right, I was a cadet whose affinity for spirits was confirmed. In any case, it was virtually certain that I would enter elemental arts later.

The other cadets also seemed to understand.

Also, I wasn’t the only cadet who received special treatment.

A short break given. After drinking a few sips of water, Elia stroked the spirit with a curious expression.

…is stroking. That is, they were in contact.

Surprisingly, Elia was also confirmed to have spirit affinity.

The exact level of affinity has not been measured, but roughly speaking, it is said to be a fairly strong level of affinity.

In that case, Elia would become a noble auxiliary major superhuman among nobles with unique healing abilities, decent magic abilities, and elemental magic.

“Hayul, are you wearing your necklace well?”

While I was absentmindedly recalling the theory I learned this morning, Elia, who was playing with the spirit with her fingers, glanced at my necklace and asked.

[Yes, I am writing very well. Now you can control it well, so you don’t have to worry.]

I meant it. In fact, there were still some parts that were difficult to control, but even taking that into account, I was using it really well.

I thought chatting through holograms would be difficult in the future because one of my hands was flying off, but thanks to this necklace, my voice problem has actually been solved.

When I thanked her again, Elia nodded as if relieved.

The moment I tried to observe the spirit again, a now quite familiar figure approached me.

“Hayul, Elia? If you have time on the weekend, would you like to study together to prepare for the midterm evaluation?”

Baek A-rin came up to me and suddenly made an offer.

    “If it’s the weekend… I’m fine.”

Despite those unexpected words, Elia nodded without thinking.

Baek Arin’s gaze turned towards me.

    ‘hmm…’

As I felt those gazes, I fell into a brief thought. Let’s study together. We get together on the weekend…

‘…Do I really need to do that?’

I think it would be better to just be alone and be quiet. There may be people who find it easier and better to do things with close friends, but at least I don’t think I’m that type.

is not it? If you think about it, Baek A-rin is good at studying since she was the top student in the school. Would studying be easier if I studied by asking Baek A-rin?

    ‘What should I do…’

Accept or reject? As I was thinking about it, I observed Baek A-rin making a subtle hand gesture.

In terms of composition, it was exquisitely invisible to Elia.

The place where the fingertips were pointing was Baek Arin’s own swollen chest.

What does that mean? When I tilted my head as if I didn’t know, Baek Arin smiled mischievously and moved her lips.

    – then, apology, compensation

The power of observation automatically interpreted the shape of the mouth.

    [sorry]

    [yes]

    [I’m okay too]

    …After thinking for a while, I accepted.

When I thought about it, I thought it would be better to learn from the senior.
