Chapter Index

    Katsudon.

One of the Japanese dishes, fried pork loin….

‘It’s just pork cutlet rice bowl.’

It is one of the Japanese dishes.

The texture is a little different from my soul food – pork rice bowl, but the texture is similar from the perspective that men can easily eat it.

However, this katsudon has its own culture.

‘It’s one of the foods detectives feed to criminals.’

People born in the Universal Century and Colonies may be unfamiliar with this, but the country called Japan on Earth provides katsudon to criminals.

    ‘It’s Japan, though.’

In my hometown, Korea, it is similar to serving soup or seolleongtang.

‘What happened was that people started asking for donuts and coffee. I need to drink the white soup of seolleongtang through my nose to come to my senses.’

If you are eating seolleongtang and grab your head from behind and force your face into an earthen pot, it becomes corleongtang, but the barbarism that existed 200 years ago has long since disappeared in the Universal Century.

    ‘Are we being too picky?’

In the Universal Century, should we say that torture should be done in a more sophisticated way?

‘Treat it in a more inhumane way?’

Even if you use the brain mattress slightly differently, it can immediately become torture.

Even if you send humans to a pre-brain space through AI and simulation while keeping their bodies in one place, and make them live for ‘500 million years’, most humans will be broken.

‘Well, 500 million years is just a symbolic number.’

500 million years is just an exaggeration.

‘The person who experienced it said that it lasted up to 40 years.’

In reality, it doesn’t last as long as 500 million years, but it usually lasts for about 30 or 40 years and eventually shows a tendency to give up.

This type of torture was made to never occur as an inhumane problem according to the Galaxy-Geneva Convention, but even if the original convention was to not cross the line, there are bound to be people who cross the line.

Otherwise, why would every media outlet say, ‘This is a violation of the Geneva Convention!’

    anyway.

Despite such inhumane means and methods, we treated the shrine quite gentlemanly.

‘Even if it wasn’t a shrine, they would have treated me like this.’

We could have ignored the Galaxy Geneva Convention and destroyed Shin Gung’s brain using the brain mattress’s forbidden protocol, but we did not do that.

‘If the shrine turns out like that, we have no choice but to change our minds.’

Just because you show such a humane side doesn’t mean you have to prepare katsudon.

    [Hey, look here. Mr. Shingung.]

[There is no Rakgyo. I am very worried about Starlight Colony’s food culture.]

    […Ah, you’re pissed?]

    Mumbling.

What kind of prisoner in the world would ask for katsudon so confidently, then eat the katsudon he received with wooden chopsticks and force him to do what he wanted?

No matter how ace it is.

Even if the hostage liberation is negotiated with 40 trillion credits!

    “I was obsessed with Wapanies.”

    Wapanese.

Westerners greatly influenced by Japanese culture.

Even though they are not Japanese, they are now called people who have been greatly influenced by Japanese culture.

    why?

    Why Japan and not Korea?

Of course, about 70% of AS-Mechanic’s designs are based on Japanese media.

‘It’s like that right now, starting with Harkon.’

    Mobile Suit Harkon.

Even with this alone, we can all know the origin of the media that many little aces of the space century watch on TV or smart panels.

‘There are things like Star Wars and Transporter, but they are relatively minor.’

The remaining 30% is based on Western mechanic media, so it is not surprising that the culture that praises Japanese media originated 200 years ago in the Universal Century.

    just.

[Look here. My name is Hana.]

    [Right.]

[Unlike you, I have Japanese blood flowing in my veins.]

[Is that so? If so, you would also sympathize.]

[Japanese people are not like this!]

Against the crazy Japanese, there seems to be no point in having the real ‘Japanese’ come forward.

    In one.

    She was born in Japan.

I was born in Japan, and as soon as I was born, I went into space with my parents and grew up in Starlight Colony.

Because her parents are Japanese, she grew up deeply influenced by Japanese culture at home.

    So hikikomori-

It’s not like that, but at least she is a girl who has some pride in Japanese culture.

    For a girl like that.

    [You are not Japanese!]

It is a shrine and a palace, and there are some aspects that cannot be tolerated from Hanae’s perspective.

[You state the obvious. Of course I’m not Japanese. However, the spirit of the samurai remains in this heart.]

    [Samurai don’t use bows!]

[conflict! You say you’re Japanese, but you don’t know the samurai spirit! A samurai is one who possesses the bushido!]

Hanae is unusually angry, even raising the blood vessels in her neck.

[You started off eating katsudon in the wrong way! They say it’s katsudon, and they say they eat the tonkatsu separately rather than with rice!]

[Isn’t that how katsudon is supposed to be eaten?]

    [no!]

[Right. But that is my bushido. The reason I came here is so that the Paladin can ride on horseback again, travel through the enemy lines, and wipe out all the enemies!!]

Shin Gung loudly taps the floor with his foot and makes a threat.

[Who can carry a Paladin on his back and not allow a single attack! Who can launch a counterattack while the Paladin catches his breath! It’s only me, Raymond!]

Shinging at Hanae, who was 10 years younger than her, despite her age, Shingung turned her head to the side as if she would never back down.

[great. Now that things are like this, I guess I have no choice but to use the last resort.]

[under. No matter what means you use, I will never give in. Even if we bring Chairman December!]

    […….]

Hanae glanced at me through the window and nodded slightly.

I made a circle with my finger towards Hanae.

It may not be visible from the inside, but Hanae probably used a hacking tool to look at this side.

[There is one thing you overlooked. Shrine.]

[Am I overlooking something? under. Even so, my bushido will not waver!]

[Paladin is Korean. My hometown was Korea. Right next to Japan.]

    That’s not what I’m saying.

That’s not what I told you to do.

[Korea was once forcibly colonized by Japan a long time ago.]

These are the words of Hanae, a student born in Japan and raised in Starlight Colony.

[But you are a samurai? Japanese warrior? Hey, the paladin will definitely ride on top of you.]

    […….]

In response to Hanae’s sarcasm, Shingung crossed his arms and his expression hardened.

[If not, what is it? Was the reason you boasted like that to mock Paladin? Teabagging towards Paladin’s home country?]

    [Well, that is….]

Shin Gung swallows and uncrosses his arms.

[…Well, this is my first time hearing something like that! Samurai…!]

[Are you calling yourself a samurai and a paladin’s favorite horse without knowing anything about history?]

    [It’s a lie! Samurai, not like that! A colony, that’s ridiculous…!]

Wapanese have no understanding of history.

    They just shout ‘Japan Sugoi’.

There may be some Wapanese that are not like that, but unfortunately, that is not the case with Shingung.

    [I, I, ooo!!!]

    Shin Gung lost consciousness.

    * * *

    “Really, instructor?”

“They say it was like that 200 years ago, no, almost 300 years ago.”

I don’t know because I wasn’t involved, but they say that was the case at the time.

“Hanae student. Good job. By mixing truth and lies, you brought the shrine to a state of despair.”

    “Lies are….”

“It’s not a bad thing to interrogate prisoners and mix in a few lies to make it advantageous for us. Aren’t you just stating the facts as they are?”

    “…….”

“It’s not that I hate Japan.”

    Hanae’s expression relaxed a little.

It was certainly effective to dismantle the Japanese military at the shrine, but if you live in a country with which you have historically had an uncomfortable relationship, you are bound to get nervous.

“Hanae student. This instructor only judges what the instructor has experienced.”

    “Ah…yes! Okay.”

Hanae bowed her head with a faint smile.

    “So, persuasion is complete?”

“Now is the start. Since we have suppressed the unreasonable samurai spirit of running amok, now we have no choice but to induce them to return to Sagittarius’ colony, their home.”

“But it got into that state…”

“Hanae student. You have done well enough. It’s just that the opponent was bad.”

    [Aaaah!!]

Shin Gung began to convulse inside.

[My heart’s hometown has colonized the Paladin’s country!! I will repay this debt by becoming the Paladin’s horse!!]

    “……Ha?”

    “That person is a fool.”

The shrine just wants to merge with me.

“Good. Now the timing has come. It’s a baton touch. Lavender.”

    “Yes.”

Lavender clenched her fists with a serious expression.

“Shingung, I will give you a hard time.”

Lavender entered the interrogation room with those words.

[You want to become the instructor’s horse?]

He made a provocation towards the shrine.

[What if you lost to me?]

    Plain and factual.

[As a paladin, would you like to join us one more time? The winner will merge with the instructor.]
