    Balkan Civil War (7)

Like Prinz, a military strategy meeting was being held in Heinrich’s camp.

” Looks like you prepared quite a bit. Even from afar, the soldiers’ equipment over there looks pretty good”

“After spending so many years as the crown prince, it would have been rather disappointing if I wasn’t even prepared for that level”

“Kkkk That’s right. Was your case well prepared?”

“Yes. your majesty! Preparations have been completed without any errors. Both responded that they would start immediately after sending a signal”

Henry, who smiled with satisfaction at Count Titrich’s answer, called a messenger and gave him a letter, telling him to send it to Prinz’s camp.

    “Your Majesty… is that…?”

“Well… shouldn’t there be a formal recommendation to surrender before the battle? We agreed to meet in the middle without any escort”

“As expected, he is merciful. Your Majesty”

Soon, Prinz’s side also responded that he accepted, so Heinrich got on his horse and went alone. When Prinz also saw Heinrich coming, he also got on his horse, left the camp, and headed forward.

The two casted a detection spell with a magic tool to see if there were any weapons hidden between them, and then started talking with their heads facing each other.

“Hahaha, it’s been so long, bro. How did you eat?”

“Heinrich you bastard. How dare you assassinate your father! You will never be forgiven”

Even though he received the brunt of Prinz’s anger, who shouted at him as soon as they met, Heinrich smiled leisurely.

“Khahaha. Have you noticed it now? Well, it has no meaning now. Life is short anyway. Wouldn’t it have been better to send it to you conveniently? I guess you could say I did my filial duty”

“Why on earth did you do this!! Even if you hadn’t done something like this, I could have given you the position of Prime Minister or Duke! How can you commit such an immoral act!!”

“Hmph! I guess that means there is an older brother above me. I will rise to the highest position. under! Irreverence? Because I was caught up in something like that, my brother hit me in the back. I’m a simpler guy than you think. Father too! Brother too!! It was an obstacle on the way to my ambition, so I tried to get rid of it!”

“Yes. It’s a little late, but… I’ll get rid of you. I will eliminate you and restore this empire to its original state!”

“Hahaha, if possible! Well… Still, as a blood relative, I will ask you one last question, brother. If you surrender now, I won’t hold any of the nobles in your formation guilty, and I will allow you to spend the rest of your life quietly in the territory next to Yuno.”

Heinrich’s overflowing confidence made Prinz feel slightly uneasy, but he couldn’t let it show now.

“Tomorrow morning. Let’s start the battle at dawn. And tomorrow evening! Your neck will be hung at the Adriatic Gate. As an immoral child who murdered my father”

“Oh my gosh, I’m so scared. I won’t kill you though. Isn’t that too much? Hahaha, instead, I will let you watch that monster bitch get fucked by numerous men in front of you. She is the bitch who threw the empire into chaos, so she deserves that kind of compensation”

    “You bastard!!”

Leaving behind Prinz, who was exploding with anger, Heinrich turned his horse to his own camp.

“Ah! But would any man stand by that monster bitch? Well, if you feed the prisoners a stimulant and then release them, they will take care of themselves, right? Hahahaha”

He wanted to kill his younger brother who was mocking his wife, but Prinz gritted his teeth and endured it and rode back to his camp.

Prinz, who returned to camp, relayed the story he shared with Heinrich to his staff.

“As expected, Heinrich was the culprit. When they were alone, he confidently admitted that he had killed his father. It’s amazing…”

“I will widely inform the soldiers of this fact. If we were to subdue the traitor who assassinated His Majesty the Emperor, the morale of the soldiers would increase considerably”

“Yes. Please. And I would like to ask again each of the high-ranking nobles here. The commander-in-chief of tomorrow’s battle will be Viscount Toys. I know very well that he is inferior in age and title to the people here, but he is an excellent commander who prevented Teseito’s provocations on the Western Front several times, and he is also an outstanding military leader. To unify command authority, I ask you to follow Viscount Toys’ command for tomorrow at least.◦ @◦

“Your Majesty. Don’t worry. If I want to get revenge on that old Heinrich, I can take command from even a single beggar appointed by His Majesty”

“Hahaha good. Toys Viscount. No, Commander-in-Chief. Please take care of me tomorrow. I don’t know how helpful this old tool will be, but let’s follow the commander’s instructions and destroy the enemies”

When Count Zion, who brought the largest number of troops, and the Marquis Seidlitz, the former Minister of Military Affairs, recognized Viscount Toys as the commander-in-chief, all other high-ranking nobles swore to follow Viscount Toys’ orders.

“Good! Together with you, I will make tomorrow a historic day to redress the balance of the empire! Each noble, please prepare your soldiers well!”

    “Yes Commander in Chief!”

“Victory to His Majesty the Crown Prince!!”

    “Victory!!”

Each noble turned to his private soldiers, pledging victory, and Viscount Prinz and Toys once again pledged victory.

The next morning. Even before the sun rose, the soldiers on both sides were busy moving.

Soldiers holding swords, spears, and shields headed forward, followed by archers. The knights and cavalry checked the saddles and armament of the horses, and each commander urged the soldiers to quickly prepare.

And as the sun began to rise, all the soldiers were ready, gulping their saliva from tension and glaring at the enemy lines, while the commanders waited for the commander’s order to be given.

    Prinz Jinyoung

“His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. Everything is ready”

    “Good. Toys Commander-in-Chief”

In response to Toys’ report, Prinz advanced to the front of the soldiers.

“As everyone has heard, the Emperor of the Empire, Karl III, lost his life to the evil son of Henry Henry. He was a great emperor who led the Great War on the Zenon Plain to victory during his time as crown prince, expanded this empire, and ruled the empire stably for over 40 years!! The emperor was brutally murdered by his son, Henry. Do you guys understand this!! Where has the justice of this empire gone!!”

Although Karl III had some problems in his private life, the people of the empire were not dissatisfied with the emperor because he led the empire without any flaws, and as such, the soldiers assassinated the emperor so that his second son could take the throne. I was angry at the commander’s words”

    “Revenge!!”

    “Avenge His Majesty the Emperor!!”

The soldiers cried out for revenge, and Prinz raised his voice even more as he looked at them.

“That’s right!! Guys!! This is my personal revenge against my father, but it is also the revenge that the entire people of the empire depended on!! This battle takes place today!! It is a battle to correct the justice of the empire!!”

The soldiers cheered at the crown prince’s speech, and their morale continued to rise.

“Gentlemen!! Today we will straighten out imperial justice!! It will not be achieved by me or the nobles, but by the soldiers here!! Advance!! Exterminate all those traitors!!”

    Puuu~

With the Crown Prince’s command, Viscount Toys’ hand lowered, and the horn announcing the advance and the flag symbolizing the Crown Prince rose.

“Maintain the line!! Never go out alone!!”

“Keep your distance from your colleagues!! Shield bearers, keep your shields connected!!”

    Thump thump thump thump

As the 50,000-strong army slowly advanced and the sound of their footsteps echoed through the earth, it put tremendous pressure on Henry’s army, which was mostly made up of mercenaries.

“If you take even one step back, my sword will cut off your neck!! All soldiers raise their spears and shields!!”

“Don’t be scared!! We have more numbers!!”

“If you win today, you will receive a huge reward!! Even if you die here, the reward will be delivered to your surviving family, so don’t spare your life!!”

Still, Heinrich’s army regained its morale thanks to the shouts of knights dispatched to every corner as independent warriors and the promises of rewards from commanders, and the archers of Heinrich’s army began firing arrows.

However, the Prinz army, boasting armament comparable to that of a regular army, advanced through the arrows without significant damage, and an all-out war between the two armies began.

“Push on!! Connect the shield!! There should be no gaps!!”

The swordsmen with shields and swords pressed Heinrich’s army first, and as the spearmen behind them stabbed them, Heinrich’s army began to suffer casualties and gradually began to be pushed back.

“If you run away, you will die!! Raise the window!! You guys are ahead in terms of personal combat power!! Alto mercenaries, go forth!! Show off your talents!!”

However, when the dictators cut off the heads of some of the fleeing soldiers and went out to cut down several of the Prinz soldiers, Henry’s army also regained its courage and began to fight back.

In particular, as some of the barbarian mercenaries of the Kingdom of Alto infiltrated the enemy’s camp by flying their large bodies, throwing daggers among the soldiers and swinging large weapons, gaps began to appear in the Prinz camp.

The Prinz army’s shield soldiers began to retreat in panic, and the seasoned mercenaries did not miss the opportunity.

“Space has opened!! Dig in!! Don’t miss the opportunity when they are embarrassed!!”

The skills of the mercenaries were displayed under the direction of the commanders of Henry’s army.

    “Ugh I can’t see!!”

“What is that strange axe? It suddenly increased! Be careful!!”

The mercenaries harassed the Prinz army in a variety of ways.

“Hahaha, what do you think? The taste of poison sand made by myself!!”

“Khahahaha, give up your heads in front of the special halberd that this old man modified himself!! That’s 1 gold coin for each of your necks!!”

Sand was sprinkled, weapons and strange weapons were rampant, and the Prinz army began to gradually fall back. However, the Prinz army’s counterattack was also formidable.

“Archers reload arrows!! First, beat up those strange barbarians who have dug in!!”

    “Start firing!!”

When the Alto mercenaries who had invaded the camp and ran amok were suppressed by the arrows fired by the archers, the commanders regained their composure and began leading again.

“Shield soldiers, don’t back down!! Trust your colleagues behind you!! Spearmen, cheer up! You must overcome so that your comrades can live!!”

Most of the members of the Prinz Army were private soldiers of the nobility, and their combat power was lower than that of the regular army. However, many of the members of each unit were soldiers who had been with them from their hometowns, and when the commanders pointed this out, they came to their senses again and began a counterattack.

“Damn it!! Let’s connect the shield again!! If we are pushed, we will fall behind!!”

As soon as one unit’s battle order was completed, several units similarly joined forces to form a battle line, and the rampaging mercenaries of Heinrich’s army were suppressed by the archers.

Then the battle unfolded again in an even manner and continued in the form of a power struggle.
