Chapter Index

    …You absolute batshit crazy bitch.

As I watched Yozora nuzzle her face against me while burrowing into my arms, those words rose to the tip of my tongue.

But even if we were alone, there was no way I could say that—especially not with Han Soo-ah standing perfectly fine right behind Yozora.

So what came out of my mouth was a far more polite and refined expression.

    “Stop it, Yozora.”

The meaning was clear: If you keep this up, I’ll stop humoring your tastes, so quit your bullshit and get off me.

    “Pffhahaha……! Yozora? Yozora…… Pffhihihi….”

But far from understanding me, Yozora was too busy giggling like an idiot, rocking back and forth on her heels.

Yeah. I knew this would happen.

It’s not like this is the first or second time I’ve seen you blackout drunk…

    Whatever. Let’s just give up.

If this goes on any longer, I’ll end up exposing my own true nature.

    “Haaa….”

    This is insane.

I had no idea how to get out of this mess, and my vision was practically going dark from frustration.

As I let out a deep sigh, I stroked Yozora’s head—who was clinging to me like a giant dog—and locked eyes with Han Soo-ah over her shoulder.

A person’s gaze holds far more information than one might think.

And if I had to pick the most prominent thing in it, it’d undoubtedly be emotion.

    Emotions like agitation.

    Happiness.

    Sadness.

    And so on.

Unless someone’s had special training, the average person can’t help but let some of it show.

So even in Han Soo-ah’s faintly glowing golden eyes, there was a vague emotion lingering.

“Hihihih… Sniff… You didn’t even, sniff, put on perfume, huh…?”

    “……?”

    “…….”

Surprisingly, what I read in them was—

    Curiosity.

    93

“Hehe… Now my clothes are gonna smell like alcohol too. Mmm….”

    “…….”

My shirt was wrinkled and bunched up from Yozora pressing herself against me.

Yozora clung tightly to me, acting like she was my girlfriend or something.

To anyone watching, it must’ve been an incredibly embarrassing sight.

And to make it worse, we weren’t even in a private space—this was happening in the hallway of an officetel.

So most people would’ve been staring with looks that said, Why the hell are they doing this here? Ugh, gross.

At least, that’s what I thought.

    “So… why’d you come…? You didn’t even say you were coming….”

    “…….”

Han Soo-ah’s signature indifferent gaze was the same as always.

The cold, aloof aura around her—difficult to approach, yet effortlessly maintained—was no different either.

But contrary to that, her hands fidgeted near her waist.

Her eyes, darting toward me even as she tried to subtly turn her head away like she shouldn’t be looking.

And most of all, the faint blush creeping up her cheeks, barely visible.

Because of that, I could tell.

    Han Soo-ah was embarrassed.

At the same time, she was intensely curious about what was going on between me and Yozora.

“You came ‘cause you missed me, riiight? Pffhihi… Just say it….”

    Why is she embarrassed?

The answer came to me more easily than expected.

Sure, part of it might’ve been because seeing us like this in the hallway was awkward, but—

Given Yozora’s smug tone and what I’d confirmed during treatment,

Han Soo-ah had grown up largely sheltered from anything sexual, to the point she didn’t even know about masturbation.

So just seeing two people of the opposite sex hugging would’ve been enough to fluster her.

“This is indecent!”—the kind of reaction you’d expect from some naive anime character.

    But the second part—

    The curiosity—

    “…….”

It was probably because, like a middle school girl just discovering her sexuality, she’d been exposed to some of the lewd manga Yozora recommended.

Still, right now, worrying about that wasn’t as important as dealing with the disaster in front of me.

“Ah, and also, I just got to feel Soo-ah’s boo— Mmph! Mmm—!”

I clamped my hand over Yozora’s mouth as she babbled nonsense, then looked at Han Soo-ah with the most apologetic expression I could muster.

    Plan A

Pretending to be a neighbor was immediately scrapped.

At this point, I needed a bolder, riskier plan.

The only problem was that I’d thrown this together in less than 30 seconds, so it was probably full of holes.

But if I could just talk my way out of it, it’d be fine.

    …Probably.

“Uh, sorry for the weird show.”

    “…Huh? Oh, n-no, it’s fine….”

Ignoring Yozora’s muffled whining, I carefully chose my words.

Using formal speech made the situation feel more like a polite, public setting.

Even if the content was the same, this approach would come off as more convincing than casually dropping informal speech like before.

    “It’s just that, well…”

    “Mmph! Mmm!”

    …This should be fine.

She might look like that, but deep down, she’s just a girl with more than a few screws loose.

I slowly let out my next words.

    “Yozora and I…”

    Haa.

I let out an intentional sigh.

    “…are dating. In secret.”

    “Mmmph…?”

    I’d said it.

Even if it left a bad taste in my mouth.

This was the only way to make sense of all the nonsense Yozora had been spouting.

Not to mention, it naturally explained why I, the school nurse, knew Yozora’s exact home address.

…Honestly, if Yozora hadn’t brought up that topic, I wouldn’t have had to resort to such a drastic move.

Hiding my conflicted feelings, I forced a smile.

    As awkward as possible.

    Like I’d been caught red-handed.

    “…Oh, I see….”

Fortunately, Han Soo-ah’s lips parted slightly—just a little—before she nodded quietly.

I’d been worried she might ask how long we’d been together, but she accepted it more easily than expected.

Was she matching my formal speech because I’d used it first?

Letting out a mental sigh of relief, I exchanged glances with Yozora, who had gone still in my arms.

…Stop licking my palm. You’re not a dog.

And why are you giving me those sparkling eyes?

This isn’t real. We’re just pretending in front of her, you idiot.

    She’s a bit airheaded, but it’s not like she’s completely clueless…

She’s probably just drunk. If I wait a little longer, she’ll play along with my lie.

Suppressing the ticklish sensation, I tightened my grip on Yozora’s small face and continued.

Now wasn’t the time for explanations—it was time for something else.

    “More importantly, why are you…”

In Go terms, I’d just saved a major group from being captured.

    So what came next was—

    A counterattack.

Which was why, even though Han Soo-ah could’ve left right then without it being strange, I forced the conversation forward.

To drag her back into that apartment.

…To satisfy the curiosity she’d been feeling while watching us.

“I just… um, came to talk? With Yozora….”

    “Ah. Talk.”

Maybe it was because I’d helped her practice “making male friends” before.

She could’ve just given a vague answer and left, but Han Soo-ah stuttered before reluctantly engaging.

When I nodded and smiled at her harmless words, a faint smile even appeared on her lips for a moment.

…She called it “talking,” but she’d probably just been sexually harassed by Yozora inside.

That’s why she ran out—only to bump into me.

And that “boobs” comment Yozora made earlier must’ve been related.

I could already picture what happened before I arrived.

Yozora lecherously groping those massive breasts.

Han Soo-ah shrieking and running away.

    Yeah, something like that.

“She drank way too much last night, so she’s not in her right mind. You must’ve had a hard time.”

    “Th-that… Yeah… Earlier, she… um….”

“When she’s completely wasted, she acts different. I guess you could say she gets a lot more affectionate.”

    “…Oh, I see….”

Judging by how Yozora had quieted down under my hand, she’d probably caught on to what I was doing, so I let go.

Luckily, Yozora just licked her lips a little and didn’t say anything else.

Testing the waters, I hugged her affectionately, and she grinned mischievously—just for me—before wrapping her arms around me.

…Now that I think about it, she really is a crazy bitch.

I thought she’d just followed me to the academy to see me more often,

but who would’ve guessed she planned to personally train Han Soo-ah and hand her over to me?

Then again, she’s the one with the kink of wanting to be forcibly taken by a man.

    Definitely a crazy bitch.

    “Well then… we should probably….”

    “…….”

“…Ah, standing here talking isn’t great either. Should we go inside?”

    “…Huh? I, um….”

Even though she couldn’t properly refuse,

even though I was wearing a mask of kindness while doing something incredibly suspicious,

Yozora just giggled in my arms like she knew exactly what I was planning.

    Definitely a crazy bitch.

“Since we’re all here, I could help with that ‘practice’ you mentioned… Oh, wait. Does Yozora not know?”

    “I-I didn’t tell her, but… it’s not like it matters….”

    “What practice…?”

“Conversation practice. Well, more like making friends. She asked me for help before.”

    “Um, yeah….”

“Mmm… So you’re gonna show her how to make friends, then…?”

    “…Something like that?”

And then, taking it a step further—

    Suggesting how to deceive,

    manipulate,

    train,

    and fuck Han Soo-ah—

all while whispering it to me.

    Absolutely a crazy bitch.

“Yay! Then I’ll show you how it’s done!! How to make friends!”

    “Wh-what?”

Yozora wriggled free from my arms, her speech slurred as she grabbed Han Soo-ah’s wrist.

Then she marched straight back into the apartment.

Their shoes were left in a tangled mess at the entrance, like they’d been fucking.

“Girlfriend? Or boyfriend? Or, um… what was it? That weird Korean term… ‘male friend’?”

    “…Any of them are fine….”

“Then I’ll teach you all of them!”

    …Sometimes her pronunciation clears up.

    Her walking too.

Was she sobering up, or was I imagining it?

Either way, playing dumb and keeping my mouth shut was the best move now.

Staring at their retreating backs, I followed them inside without a word.

Click. The sound of the door locking was unusually loud.
